00:00Good afternoon, good evening, good morning, depending on where you are in the world.
00:04We'd like to introduce to you part 3 of a legendary, this is Favoured Soul, it's a legendary series of
00:13the epic Favoured Soul that is.
00:15What we're going to do is we're going to go right into it. Now epic because he's 20th level or

01:02If you play a Favoured Soul, what you want to do is level it up first of all, okay.
01:07You want to get from 1st all the way up to 20.
01:09When we get to 20, you go to, first of all you want to have your enhancements in like I
01:15have here.
01:16You basically pick your path, okay.
01:18If you're a certain race, whether it's drow, elf, human, whatever it is, you want to put some points in
01:24as it makes sense for your build.
01:26How do you know what to build?
01:27According to what you think you'd have fun.
01:29So you ask yourself, what do I want my character to do?
01:35Not so much what do I want my character to be, but what do I want my character to do?
01:40Then based upon that, we have three major what they call trees, because it goes upwards like a tree.
01:48You have one that's more spellcasting offense.
01:52You have another one that's more melee offense.
01:55And you have another one that's healing.
01:57I'm going to be doing some healing with mostly spellcasting offense.
02:05So maybe 55 to 60% spellcasting offense, and about 40 to 45% healing.
02:13And the rest 5% or so, whatever, is going to be in my drow elf.
02:17What you want to do is have your character to be good in all types of situations.
02:24Not just healing, not just whatever.
02:28So, you can choose any of those you want, or any combination hereof, but you want to maximize the effect.
02:35Now don't worry about not being a melee person.
02:39Because you can have, for example, I have a hireling here.
02:42It's level 23.
02:44And you can come in and just clean up the place, melee-wise.
02:47Then I can have somebody who does traps, right?
02:52Traps, right?
02:55And who can scout certain things, like secret doors, etc.
02:59This is a team effort.
03:01This is not one character trying to do everything.
03:04If you're in a group of actual players, each one will have their separate role.
03:09So keep that in mind.
03:11Now, with epic stuff, what you do is you go to your epic destinies, and you put in what you
03:19want to put in, okay?
03:20So, for example, I can do a draconic bloodline and have, like, dragon breath if I want.
03:29Also, very strong thing, consecration.
03:32The ground you're standing on is consecrated.
03:34When standing on a consecrated ground, you and your allies are healed every three seconds for one point of positive
03:40energy per character level.
03:42So in this case, I'm 25.
03:43So 25 points.
03:48That's quite a bit.
03:50One point of positive energy.
03:52So 25 points of positive energy per...
03:54Oh, sorry, one per character level.
03:56So that's 25 total, right?
03:59And this is affected by your positive spell power.
04:02So what you want to do is crank up this positive spell power.
04:05How do you do that?
04:07You go to your enhancements.
04:09So you put the ampersand enhancements.
04:11You want your positive stuff cranked all the way up.
04:15Now, I'll still have more opportunities to do things because he hasn't gotten to his cap, like the highest level.
04:21So what happens is, as you have points, you level up, right?
04:27You can still put more points in this one, one of these trees, and the other one.
04:32You just have to think, what kind of character do you want to play?

05:32So what you want to have is that buff on, right?
05:34Buff, it means it makes you stronger, right?
05:37Then we can have, uh, Might's Reward.
05:40That's good if you want to use positive spell powers.
05:43So this will really be, um, this gives you, that's better with the War Soul because it's more melee damage,
05:50I believe.
05:53But, you can cast it on someone else.
05:55So you just select, what you basically do is you'd select their portrait.

06:07And what we do is, it would, you gain a sacred bonus to positive spell power equal to five plus
06:12your charisma modifier.
06:14So if they're a caster, plus they do some melee to do that, also this increases my positive spell power.
06:20You want to max that out, okay?
06:22Also your stats you want to max out.
06:26And so also, like, for example, he's charisma based, so you want to max that out.
06:30You don't use rhythm so much.
06:32And then what you want to do is max out all your positive spell powers.
06:36So just common sense.
06:37What would make the character stronger?
06:39Max out the spell, whatever it's based upon.
06:42Charisma, okay, you need a higher charisma score.
06:44Positive spell or need higher positive spell.
06:46Okay, how about this right here?
06:49It increases your damage.
06:51An additional 2% chance to critical.
06:56So if we have 2, 2, and 2, that's 6.
06:59So we only have 6 here, plus another 8%.
07:03It can make a difference.
07:05In and of itself, it's not a lot.
07:07But when you're added to something, it can make the difference.
07:11Notice I have comet fall.
07:13That does a ton of damage.

07:18You want to have your wand and scroll masteries maxed out.
07:21And you want to have some sunbolt.
07:23Okay.
07:24So that gives you a range and a cone, like, straight ahead.
07:28And then, so for hitting things and also for comet fall, it gives you a radius closer to where you
07:37are.
07:39Horizontally versus the other one can go, it goes in a radius, right?
07:43And then comet fall goes like what they call a cone, where it goes out in small, and then goes
07:48directly out.
07:49Hit, and hits it in its greater area where it is, okay?
07:54Surface area.
07:56So, yes, you want to max out your charisma stuff.
08:00You can use, like, Archon's Fury.
08:03And then just say, okay, physical damage spells are increased by 1.
08:08Maximum caster level, that's very good.
08:12Why?
08:12Because your maximum caster level of your fire, force, and light alignment and physical damage are increased.
08:17So caster level normally is 9.
08:19This spell works as if you had a 10th level slot for scaling purposes.

08:39And then you get plus 1 to your DC checks, you want to have that.
08:44Unstoppable magic.
08:46Minus penalty to spell resistance.
08:47This is very powerful stuff.
08:49So this is what you got to, you can only pick one top of a tree to use for any
08:56of these.
08:56So I'm going to go with, I'm going with offense.
08:59And some, you want to put some healing and defense.
09:02And then you want to have some, you want to have some stuff that's specific to your race, right?
09:12Now, I didn't have anything in War Soul because I don't really need to have that.
09:17Because I'm not going, I'm not going melee magic damage.
09:20I'm going magical spell damage with also healing.

09:32When you start out, how do you know what quests to do?
