00:18they will be is giving out state land to these developers to develop all of these different
00:26projects some of which 1800 waterfront houses for whom certainly not you the average citizen
00:35they indicated that they intend to shut down the carrera prison and build a boutique hotel for whom
00:43do they already have contractors who are lined up and in place to receive these lands for these
00:49projects we are told that they receive 965 expressions of interest but when the media
00:54questioned the minister the line minister for yuri cut julian john she indicated she could not see
00:59she doesn't have the information as to who these expressions of interest came from but she has
01:04given instructions that by june next month a word of contracts is supposed to start
01:17can we expect to see some of these same names popping up in the coming months with respect
01:25to this national revitalization program so while they may have gotten buy-in we should be very
01:30concerned about that that this may very well be under the facade of legitimacy perhaps the biggest land
01:37grab in this country's history supported by the government of trinidad and tobago prime real estate
02:10this landmark tt
02:13project, and I understand some $15 million of state funds had already been spent to develop
02:18that particular piece of land. There is infrastructure on the land. Roads, drainage,
02:27water, all of these different things are already on the land. So if this project is $100 million,
02:32when these housing units are sold, what is the final figure going to be? What is the return on
02:37investment? $300 million? $400? $500 million? How much of that are you, the citizens, going to get?
