00:00They say hindsight is 20-20 vision and after coming within a boundary of victory against New Zealand, it's common practice to wonder where things went wrong.
00:09But Romare Shepard was philosophical about the outcome.
00:12Yeah, sometimes the close game can hurt you because you can look at so many areas where you could have pulled back a six or so much where you could have actually bowled a better over or something like that or play a better shot off a certain ball.
00:24But, you know, all in all, it is what it's supposed to be. So hopefully next game we can pull off a win.

00:47I just think the wicket is one that you have to give yourself time.
00:50I mean, we check most of the battles that actually score are guys that actually, you know, give themselves that time to actually, you know, assess the condition and stuff like that.
01:01Because it's not a wicket where you can just go out and hit from ball one, you know, because it's kind of tennis bumps, some gripping, some skating.
01:09So you have to get used to the pace on the wicket.
01:11So it's sure that even last night when he started to get off, he was actually there to actually, you know, capitalize on the start that he actually got.
01:20And tonight again, Robman, the way he played, myself and stuff like that.
01:24So it's sure that once you give yourself a chance on the wicket, well, here at this venue, you can actually go big.
01:30All-Rongna Matthew Ford has turned heads in New Zealand, not only with his pace and aggression, but also with the bat.
01:38And Shepard endorsed Ford's talent after he almost took West Indies over the finish line.
01:43Yeah, Matthew is, you know, we've been blessed with a lot of All-Rongnas in the West Indies.
01:47And, you know, he's up there.
01:49He actually did well, scored the fastest 50 for us in the white bar in fifth over cricket.
01:54So we all know what he's capable of.
01:56You know, all the power hitters that went through, the Chris Gale and all of that.
