00:00Emory, you're watching all this unfold, this exchange of hands, this pomp and circumstance.
00:06Tell us a little bit more about what's standing out to you now this morning.
00:11Certainly an extraordinary display of pomp and circumstance as President Xi Jinping greeted
00:17President Trump here outside the Great Hall of the People. There was a military band as well as
00:24a number of schoolchildren here carrying American and Chinese flags. That got a huge smile from
00:29President Trump and an applause as well. And then as Xi Jinping led President Trump up the steps,
00:35pass of course his cabinet, the likes of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett, Marco Rubio, I know
00:41Stephen Engel talked about earlier, was twice sanctioned by the Chinese Communist Party when
00:46he was a senator. And then of course all the hosts of executives that are here from Wall Street and
00:50the tech sector alongside the president. You could see Xi Jinping was pointing out different parts of
00:56the structures around where the president was standing, pointing across to Tiananmen Square and
01:01then of course as well where the Forbidden City is. They did seem to be in good spirits. It was
01:06a very
01:07warm greeting. You don't hear, you know, the U.S. national anthem every day in this square outside the
01:15Great Hall of the People. So definitely a warm welcome. Obviously the real negotiation is going to begin now.
01:22They will have a bilateral meeting today. They will also continue that conversation tomorrow.
01:27We are going to be keenly focused on any purchasing agreements that come from that.
01:31What happens in terms of this tech sector? Do they establish some sort of channel on how AI should
01:36work? And then really the thorny tense issues of the Iran war and for China is going to be of
01:42course
01:42what the president says or doesn't say when it comes to Taiwan.
