00:01Yeah, Gwen Stacy, there you go.
00:06Gwen Stacy was his girlfriend before Mary Jane.
00:11And Gwen Stacy is the girlfriend in Amazing Spider-Man.
00:21Of course, they do the sequence where he tries and fails to save her.
00:26Yes.
00:30That should have been in a better film.
00:33Yeah, it really should have, really.
00:36Yeah, literally.
00:38I wouldn't be entirely sure how you would do it,
00:47but I'd probably have that whole comic's story arc
00:54of that particular scene in the third Spider-Man movie with Tobey Maguire.
01:01Yeah.
01:02Instead of Spider-Man 3 being Spider-Man 3,
01:06it was literally just an adaptation of that comic specifically.
01:11Would have been so much better.
01:20Because that is a very iconic moment in the comics.
01:29Yeah.
01:34And if you, like...
01:38God, I want to say something, but I know it will be spoilers for a movie you just said you
01:41haven't seen.
01:43No.
01:44Hmm?
01:45I mean, like, you can carry on, like, you know, all the...
01:51Yeah, in no way home.
01:54No.
01:57It's Andrew.
01:58Andrew Garfield gets a similar moment like that where...
02:03The girl who, you know, is MJ in that universe and MJ that I really don't like,
02:09but that's beside the point.
02:11Hmm.
02:11Hmm.
02:12And he saves her that time, and it's like a big character moment for him.
02:17Right.
02:17Hmm.
02:18Which was really nice to see, like, a good character kind of arc for him.
02:23It's like, okay, now you've saved the girl this time.
02:26You can get rid of that probably what Survivor's Guilt, I think it's called.
02:32Yes.
02:34Yes.
02:43Yeah.
02:46It's still worth watching.
02:49Just...
02:51It's a pretty good movie.
02:54And it's good to see some favorites all over again.
03:01Yeah.
03:04I said Willem Dafoe returns as Gabi, and Alfred Molina returns as Doc Ock.
03:14Yeah.
03:14Of course, Tobey Maguire returns.
03:18Hmm.
03:18Mm-hmm.
03:21Yes.
03:23It's worth watching.
03:25Yeah.
03:26Mm-hmm.
03:28Of course, I'm not sure.
03:30I've seen...
03:30I've seen very little of Marvel since then, because I...
03:34I kind of checked out after, uh...
03:37Yeah.
03:38What was the...
03:42The second half of the...
03:49The second half of the two-parter Avengers that they did.
03:54Oh.
03:55Yeah.
03:56Yeah.
03:58Yeah.
04:01Um...
04:03Is it, like, uh...
04:04Infinity War, Civil War, somewhere...
04:07Yeah.
04:08Yeah.
04:10Infinity War, and then the second one that they did.
04:12I kind of checked out after that, because I was like, okay, storyline's done.
04:16Yeah.
04:17Mm-hmm.
04:18Yeah.
04:18Ready to move on from cave shit.
04:20Right.
04:21Yeah, yeah.
04:21Yeah.
04:21Exactly.
04:23Like, with me, it's a bit of a weird, uh, story with me, and, like, the whole, sort
04:28of, like, Marvel thing within cinema, is that before...
04:37I suppose before Iron Man 1, right, we had this almost, like, golden era when it came
04:45to cinema, here in the West, is, like, we had a whole plethora of movies, like, from
04:53different genres, uh, like, doing, like, different stories with different themes, and
04:59it's, like, all, like, it was all coming out, and all, like, almost at the same time being
05:07equally as successful.
05:09You know, this was, like, the era of, like, say, like, uh, you know, Gladiator, uh, Troy,
05:15fucking, um, you know, all of that sort of shit, right?
05:20Yeah.
05:22Really solid era for, like, just cinema in general.
05:26And then the first Iron Man came out, and it's, like, oh, it, you know, just as amazing.
05:33It, absolutely brilliant movie.
05:36And then the second one came out, it's, like, uh, okay, this is all right.
05:40And then the third one, like, oh, oh, god, no.
05:43But then the other Marvel movie started coming out with, like, the other characters, and it's,
05:48like, oh, this is, this is cool, they're, like, they're building, like, kind of a universe
05:52kind of thing.
05:53Yeah.
05:54And then the first Avengers movie comes out.
05:56It's, like, oh, holy shit, this is amazing.
06:00Absolutely brilliant movie.
06:02Loved it.
06:03You know, just as much as Iron Man 1.
06:05Iron Man 1 and the first Avengers movie are, like, some of my favorite, uh, Marvel movies.
06:12What are superhero movies in general, right?
06:15But then it's almost, like, after that, I had, because I was so used to having just, like,
06:22like I say, like, a plethora of different movies within different genres all coming out
06:26at similar times.
06:27I was like, oh, okay, this is all neat and whatever.
06:31I, you know, adore them.
06:33But I'd be like, uh, I'll just hang on until, like, something else comes out.
06:38And then another Marvel movie comes out.
06:40It's like, uh, okay, I'll, I'll, I'll still hang on.
06:43Another Marvel movie comes out.
06:44And another one.
06:46And another one.
06:47And another one.
06:48And another one.
06:49And another one.
06:49It's like, like, literally made nothing the fuck else.
06:53It's like, uh, okay, I'm, I guess I'm gonna check out of cinema entirely later.
07:01Yeah.
07:02It's like, yeah.
07:08Yeah.
07:10Yeah.
07:11It's like.
07:13Like, it's almost as though, like, uh, in my, I suppose,
07:17latter part of my childhood into my teenage years was, like,
07:22it was both the best era for cinema,
07:25at least, you know, in my opinion.
07:27But then it's also, like,
07:30set my expectations way too fucking high
07:33for everything the fuck else afterwards.
07:35Almost.
07:36You know.
07:37But in a, in a kind of good way, honestly.
07:39You know.
07:40It, it, it's good to have standards.
07:43Yes.
07:44Yeah.
07:46Yeah.
07:47Yeah.
07:48I mean, I get that.
07:49I was tired of tape shit after, after, uh,
07:54Endgame.
07:54That's what it was called.
07:55Endgame.
07:56Ah, yeah.
07:57Endgame.
07:58Yeah.
07:58Fair enough.
07:58Honestly.
07:59Yeah.
07:59Like.
08:00Yeah.
08:00To be honest, like, that should have been the end
08:03just entirely, really.
08:07Like, like, as much as I checked out, like,
08:09far earlier than that, like,
08:11I could still at least hold my hands up and say, like,
08:13okay, the majority of them are still good movies, right?
08:17Yeah.
08:17But at the same time, yeah, like, I, I just wasn't particularly interested to really watch
08:27them, and then as soon as Endgame came out, but it still kept going, it was like, okay,
08:33I'm just, I, I, I am, like, I am below the seventh rung of hell of, like, actually giving
08:44a fuck about this at all, really.
08:46Yeah.
08:46Like, my expectations are so low.
08:51After that, it was, uh, okay, I'm going to go to this one because my friend wants to
08:56go to it.
08:57That's the only reason.
08:58Right.
08:59Exactly.
08:59It's the only reason that I saw the second Black Panther movie, and it sucked.
09:04Oh, God.
09:05Oh.
09:07Oh.
09:13Yeah.
09:14Was it, like, the first, the first, uh, Black Panther movie or the second one where they,
09:19like, established the idea of, like, rhino farms on Wakanda?
09:22That's, like, like, that was just a very silly, silly idea.
09:27Yeah.
09:28Like, hmm.
09:30Hmm.
09:33Oh.
09:35My armor is all broken.
09:37Okay.
09:38Ah.
09:42The problem with that is that they weren't willing to dial down the stakes.
09:45Yes.
09:46Exactly.
09:47Like, literally, if, if, say, after Endgame, they essentially return to their roots, like,
09:52say, with Iron Man 1, like, there are stakes in Iron Man 1, but not necessarily, like, world
10:00ending or world shattering stakes.
10:02It was more, almost kind of direct and personal around Tony Stark himself as a, as a human being,
10:11right?
10:11For the majority of the first movie.
10:14Yeah.
10:15Like, if they had that kind of approach, like, going afterwards, like, cause, like, after a,
10:24almost like, like, a earth shattering event as, like, Endgame was, where it's like, okay,
10:32we have such a gigantic threat to, like, fucking, like, existence as a whole, like, everyone needs
10:43to, like, join on the, in the fight in order for it to stop, right?
10:50You can't keep going with that, right?
10:54You know?
10:55It's like, you do need.
10:58It's like, yeah, exactly.
10:59You know, it's kind of like with the, like, like a regular movie, say.
11:04You have this massive, bombastic action scene that is insane in terms of, like, what's actually
11:12going on.
11:13But then afterwards, you kind of have a moment of, like, like, very quiet, very, like, once
11:20the battle is actually over, to, like, really take in and absorb what just happened, you know,
11:26so that you can kind of, almost like, like, a moment for the characters to kind of reflect
11:31on it, right?
11:32Yeah.
11:34It's almost as though, like, you need to do that, but across an entire series.
11:40Like, okay, like, the events of Endgame is, like, the massive big battle.
11:45You know?
11:46Yeah, and that, uh, that, that's over, the good guys win.
11:50Then, okay, now you need, like, the sort of, like, uh, descending part, where it's, like,
11:57it's a lot lower stakes.
11:59You know, it's much more, I suppose, like, uh, reflective and contemplative on Endgame,
12:07the events of that, but, uh, with its own, like, like, say, lower stakes than that.
12:13Because, you know, you can't keep going with just Endgame in perpetuity in terms of stakes.
12:20Like, no.
12:22Like you say, it's exhausting.
12:28It is.
12:29I, you know, like I said, after that, I just, I checked out.
12:33I was like, I'm done.
12:34That's enough.
12:36Mm-hmm.
12:37It's gonna take something special for me to go to a capeshit movie, or just cause my
12:42friend wants me to go really bad.
12:45Right.
12:46Right.
12:46So, like, they brought back Tobey Maguire, and I was like, okay, I'm in.
12:51Right, yes.
12:52Exactly.
12:52That's something special.
12:54Yeah.
12:56Or, like, uh, when the first, uh, I suppose, like, teaser trailers were coming out for,
13:00like, uh, like, Spider-Man Noir, I was like, ooh, okay.
13:04Okay, so you're combining one of my favorite superhero characters with a film genre I absolutely
13:11adore.
13:12It's like, okay, I'm ever so slightly more interested.
13:16Yeah, there was, uh, I mean, that is a character from the comics.
13:20There's a whole bunch of different versions of Spider-Man.
13:23Mm-hmm.
13:24Yeah.
13:26But even then, like, from what relatively little I've seen of it in trailers and whatnot, is
13:32that, uh, yeah.
13:34It's, it's not really noir at all.
13:37It's just kind of copy-pasting its aesthetics.
13:41Yeah.
13:41Yeah.
13:44And, like, it's, it's, I forget which, uh, era it's set in.
13:49It's somewhere between, like, 1920s to 1940s.
13:52It's that kind of ballpark area of, like, era of the movie.
13:56But, like, everybody's, like, just talking like a fucking millennial.
14:00It's like, bro.
14:02It's not how you write noir.
14:05Right, exactly.
14:06Yeah.
14:08Yeah.
14:10Like, literally, if, if, hell, as a massive fan of noir as a genre, it, even if they just
14:17literally just copy-pasted Raymond Chandler quotes, I'd be like, okay, you at least tried.
14:23It's just, you understood that it needed, like, that noir flair of, like, the 1940s, right?
14:33Yeah.
14:34So, you just copy-paste a, you know, a writer who's basically that, you know?
14:40Yeah.
14:42I think I amped out this cave.
14:45But, yeah, I know what you mean.
14:47Yeah.
14:48Yeah.
14:49Don't have them talk like modern millennials.
14:51Like, just, just.
14:52I don't remember if, when Spider-Man Dwarf showed up, if that's how we talked in the, in the, the,
15:01the other movies.
15:03I don't remember, but.
15:05Hmm.
15:06Into the Spider-Verse.
15:07I don't remember.
15:08I don't remember if we talked like that, and I'd have to watch it again.
15:12Right.
15:12Meh.
15:19I wonder if the, if the Spider-Man is supposed to be Toby in that.
15:29Hmm.
15:32Like, legitimately, I'm not entirely sure if the Spider-Man in that is supposed to be Toby or not.
15:38Right.
15:39Yeah.
15:41Hmm.
15:43Because it kind of hints at it, but.
15:46Right.
15:47Yeah.
15:49Hmm.
15:52Into the Spider-Verse really wasn't a bad movie at all.
15:56Okay.
15:57Although I fucking love the meme that came out of it.
15:59It's not about the money, Spider-Man.
16:02It's about the Mets.
16:03Hmm.
16:09Oh.
16:13Oh, dear.
16:16Hmm.
16:23Indeed.
16:25Indeed.
16:27So.
16:30Is that a city?
16:35Hmm.
16:37Is this a city?
16:41Perhaps.
16:42Can I get, no, this is not a city.
16:44Okay.
16:45Ah, okay.
16:50There's Wayne and Priory.
16:52That's where you go to meet the, the one guy.
16:56Hmm.
16:57Which I already did do.
17:00Yeah.
17:04Okay.
17:05Let's go in.
17:06I need to go into the city.
17:12Because I need to repair stuff and sell stuff and whatnot.
17:17Hmm.
17:17Hmm.
17:19Please, God, let them have replenished gold since I last did this.
17:24Yeah.
17:26Uh-huh.
17:36Okay.
17:36Okay, there's the entrance that I was looking for earlier when the creatures were chasing
17:42me that I was having trouble killing.
17:45Ah.
17:45Okay, what is this?
17:48Well, man.
17:54I'm looking for the blacksmith.
17:57Hmm.
18:03Okay.
18:06I, no, I'm not trying to break into the blacksmith, okay?
18:10No, we're not doing that.
18:12We're not doing that game.
18:14Yeah.
18:15Stop right there, criminal scum.
18:19Okay.
18:20This is ready for me to go to the...
18:24Hmm.
18:27Hmm.
18:28Hmm.
18:29Hmm.
18:30Hmm.
18:30Hmm.
18:31Hmm.
18:32Hmm.
18:33Hmm.
18:40There we go.
18:42Oh, back to chat.
18:43Problem was they weren't willing to die on the...
18:46Yeah.
18:46Yeah.
18:47Yeah.
18:47I think you already read him saying that.
18:50Yeah.
18:51Yeah.
18:51That's right.
18:53But yeah, like, that's part of the reason why, like, in my own stories, like, they're...
18:58Yes.
18:59Like, there are stakes, but they're relatively low stakes.
19:03Did you ever...
19:04Just cause...
19:05Well, partly because, like, I'm just tired of, like, high stakes shit in, like, everything
19:10else.
19:11Honestly.
19:12Yeah.
19:13You know, like, I'm taking much more of a, I suppose, like, a Conan approach, where, yeah,
19:19there are occasionally high stakes, but, like, the majority of the time, it's literally, like,
19:24Conan, I don't know, like, raiding some ancient tomb or, uh, fucking, um, you know, banging
19:31some chick who, like, he isn't supposed to be banging and so has to fight his way out
19:36of a fucking castle or shit.
19:38You know what I mean?
19:39Yeah.
19:40Yeah.
19:49Yeah.
19:51Press.
19:53And then I can go out and explore some more.
19:56Yes.
19:57Yes.
20:00Yeah, literally, like, one of my stories is literally, like, probably the lowest stakes
20:06you could possibly do.
20:07It's literally just a pilgrim going on, like, a pilgrimage to, like, an ancient, uh, monastery,
20:16basically.
20:17It's, like, you know, it's essentially all about, like, the journey and, uh, what, uh,
20:21he encounters along the way.
20:23You know.
20:24Sounds plenty interesting to me.
20:26Eh.
20:27Yeah.
20:31Steal and fire, that sounds like a blacksmith.
20:34Yes.
20:35Yes, I would say so.
20:39See, Nias is worried sick about her daughter, Dharma.
20:43If you think you can help, you'll find her at her shop, Northern Goods and Trade.
20:48I should go to Northern Goods and Trade.
20:50Wait, okay, so, um.
20:57Armor, weapons, I have it all.
20:59How may I help you?
21:09Yes.
21:10Sell that.
21:12Hmm.
21:24Sell that.
21:39I don't really use two-handed weapons, so I'll sell that.
21:43No.
21:45Okay.
21:47Okay.
21:47Another satisfied customer.
21:49Uh, you, you, you haven't been Conan maxing my brother?
21:52Let's see what we've got here.
21:55Do I have enough to repair?
21:58Okay, I do.
22:05That's all I needed.
22:07Neat.
22:08There we go.
22:12Okay, let's take a look at my weapons.
22:15I can sell, oh, I can sell the bridges too.
22:18Okay.
22:19Uh, but I wanted to look at my weapons.
22:25Okay, so the Dwarven Mace is my most powerful weapon currently.
22:30Hmm.
22:32Not right.
22:34God, the, as much as I love the aesthetic of this game, the faces have not aged well.
22:39Oh.
22:40Oh, yeah.
22:41Nah.
22:42Nah.
22:43Not at all.
22:44You look like you got hit in the face with a shovel.
22:47Mm-hmm.
22:48Mm-hmm.
22:50Yep.
22:53And some rare form of skin cancer by the looks.
22:56Yeah.
23:02I forgot I have to sell different things at different stores in this game.
23:07Ah.
23:08You can't just sell everything at one place like you can in, uh, Skyrim.
23:20That's what I was trying to think of.
23:21Right.
23:22Hmm.
23:26You can just sell whatever the fuck you want to wherever you want to sell it.
23:32Mm-hmm.
23:34Mm-hmm.
23:42And this is a traitor, so let's see if I can sell the other stuff here.
23:46I'm listening.
23:48What can I do for you?
23:52Here.
23:53Perhaps you will find this useful.
23:55One of the books I saved from my blade straining.
23:58Oh, this is one of the members of the blades that you're doing.
24:02Ah.
24:02Okay.
24:03Know that our prayers go with you.
24:05Okay.
24:06It isn't widely known.
24:08Okay, so that's who this guy is.
24:10He gave me a book.
24:12Mm-hmm.
24:15Chapter houses of the order, like Wayne and Priory, provide safe houses for traveling blades,
24:20as well as our more public religious...
24:22I need to drag my, uh,
24:25blades of the Xbox One X in here to, uh,
24:28more of, uh, Far Cry 4 with Indy at some point.
24:34Right.
24:35Yeah.
24:37Because that's the version of that that I was...
24:39I have it on PC now, but when I started, I only had it on Xbox.
24:43I didn't want to bring another...
24:46Goodbye.
24:47I guess you...
24:49I don't need to impose, but I'm hoping you can help me.
24:51My daughter...
24:52Oh!
24:53Oh, you're the one that I was supposed to talk to!
24:55Okay.
24:56Ah!
25:04I can do this quest.
25:06I can do this...
25:06Okay.
25:08Let's do this quest.
25:09Let's do it.
25:12I can't thank you enough for your kindness.
25:15I hope a fellow Orgonian find another fellow Orgonian.
25:19Hector, so I...
25:20Mm-hmm.
25:21Heh heh heh heh.
25:22In case it may be useful, she was with Blossom.
25:25Her horse, I mean.
25:26Dharma loves that animal.
25:28And would never willingly abandon her.
25:32Because she was with a horse.
25:38Picked up a good book at Renoir's this week.
25:41Sure wish I could read it.
25:43You bought a book that you can't read?
25:46The best daughter of the world.
25:48That's what she just said!
25:51I mean...
25:53I just like...
25:54I just like its aesthetics, okay?
25:58It looks really pretty sitting on my shelf.
26:01Makes me look intelligent.
26:03Mm-hmm.
26:04Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh.
26:06But I wasn't...
26:07Uh...
26:08Dharma insisted on going this time.
26:10I do hope nothing has happened to her.
26:15Missing daughter.
26:16Have you found her?
26:17Is she safe?
26:19I haven't found her yet.
26:20I am so worried about her.
26:23Please find her.
26:25Okay.
26:27Uh...
26:27Trade.
26:29I can't use this to in some of my wares.
26:32Sell that.
26:34Yeah.
26:36Resist disease.
26:48When did I pick up ectoplasm?
26:55Hmm.
27:06I guess gold nuggets don't sell for anything.
27:09Ah, fine.
27:10That's a fair deal.
27:12They sell for very little.
27:14You've made a good bit of gold.
27:16Right.
27:22Anything else I want to sell?
27:23I don't need the Nern root.
27:26In fact, I don't...
27:27I don't think I...
27:28I'm not sure I need any of these.
27:33Whatever.
27:34Okay.
27:34Anything else I want to just sell?
27:39Okay.
27:40Anything else I want to just sell?
27:40Well, I'm never going to wear that anyway, so...
27:45Thank you for your business.
27:47Okay.
27:48Let's go find your daughter.
27:49Let's make that my active quest, lady.
27:53Yes.
27:54Yes.
28:10There.
28:10Okay.
28:23There.
28:25That is my active quest
28:27Okay
28:40Alright, let's go see if I can't find
28:42This person's daughter
28:43It's the last thing I do on this stream
28:46Because it's 6 in the morning
28:48I'm getting hungry
28:50Ah, fair enough
28:52And
28:53I'm not going to render it now
28:55But I will have
28:58Plenty of episodes
28:59Of Oblivion to do
29:01Here
29:02And then I'll
29:04Record later
29:05At some point with
29:07Indy
29:08And get some episodes of Far Cry 4
29:10And that'll be well past
29:13Certainly
29:14Probably almost certainly well past
29:16When
29:18Dalton gets back
29:19And we can get back to Space 3
29:21Which is my first
29:22Playthrough
29:22Of it
29:24And there's fun to be had
29:25In co-oping it
29:26But holy crap
29:27It is not Dead Space
29:29Yeah
29:30Yeah
29:31It really isn't
29:32Honestly
29:35Hmm
29:42And we discussed that earlier
29:44How very
29:45Dead Space
29:46It is
29:47Mm-hmm
29:48Mm-hmm
29:49Yeah
29:57Yeah
30:07I
