00:08Ratner is reportedly scouting locations in China for his next big project, Rush Hour 4.
00:14The president has been a huge advocate of reviving the buddy cop franchise for some reason.
00:20He even pushed his billionaire buddy Larry Ellison to greenlight another sequel once
00:24Ellison's Paramount acquires Warner Brothers, which holds the rights to Rush Hour.
00:28Well, apparently he didn't need to wait for that still bubbling deal to finalize
00:32because Ratner's reps say that cameras will start rolling in China
00:35the first time the director has filmed there as soon as next year.
00:38The last Rush Hour film, in case you were curious, was released in 2007.
00:43Ratner, who directed it, also directed X-Men The Last Stand, Tower Heist, and a live action version of Hercules.
00:49Now, he was shunned from Hollywood after six women accused him of sexual misconduct in 2017.
00:53But he made his comeback this January, chronicling Melania Trump's preparations to return as first lady
00:58in the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration.
