00:00As you are listening to this, President Trump is jetting home from Beijing after his big meeting
00:04with President Xi Jinping. Iran, obviously a hot topic, and President Trump told Fox News
00:10Sean Hannity about those discussions Thursday night. President Xi would like to see a deal made.
00:15He would like to see a deal made. And he did offer, he said, if I can be of any
00:22help at all,
00:23I would like to be of help. He said he's not going to give military equipment. That's a big statement.
00:27He said that today. That's a big statement. He said that strongly. But at the same time,
00:32he said, you know, they buy a lot of their oil there and they'd like to keep doing that.
00:35He'd like to see Hormuz straight opened. Another issue, Taiwan, which was, of course,
00:40expected to be discussed, seems to have been a bit more serious part of the meeting.
00:45A Chinese spokesman said the small island is the most important issue for U.S.-China relations
00:51and posted, quote, if it is handled properly, the bilateral relationship will enjoy
00:56overall stability. Otherwise, the two countries will have clashes and even conflicts, putting the
01:03entire relationship in great jeopardy. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was in China with the
01:09president, weighed in to NBC News. Any forced change in the status quo and the situation that's
01:15there now would be bad for both countries. One of the things the Chinese emphasize, which we agree,
01:19is strategic stability in our relationship, a constructive relationship, but also one that
01:24establishes strategic stability so that we don't have misunderstandings that could lead to broader
01:28conflict. We always respond by saying anything that would compel or force a change in what we
01:33have now would be problematic and that we would certainly, our policies on that have not changed.
01:38Trade, also a hot topic. And President Trump made this announcement to Sean Hannity on that front.
01:44We talked about a lot of things, too many things to discuss, but a lot of things. We had a
01:49very good
01:49meaning, but we want things from them. One thing he agreed to today, he's going to order 200 jets.
01:57That's a big thing, Boeing.
01:58Boeing.
01:59200 big ones. That's a lot of jobs. That's a lot. Boeing wanted 150, got 200.
02:07He said, sort of, I think it was a commitment. I mean, you know, sort of like a statement, but
02:12I think
02:13it was a commitment.
02:13The White House has announced that President Trump invited President Xi and his wife to the White House
02:18later this year on September 24th.
