00:19President Trump landed in Beijing, China on May 13th
00:22to kick off a historic summit between the world's two most powerful heads of state.
00:27Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping stood shoulder to shoulder outside China's Great Hall of the People,
00:33a massive Communist Party showpiece overlooking Tiananmen Square during a lavish arrival ceremony.
00:39The commander-in-chief wasn't alone on his momentous excursion to the east.
00:43On top of his everyday advisors and confidants, the president also took along a delegation
00:48that included several top CEOs, such as Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk and outgoing Apple boss Tim Cook.
00:56Melania Trump stayed back at the White House and didn't join her husband for the whirlwind Beijing summit.
01:01But one guest close to America's leading lady did show up in Trump's posse, film director Brett Ratner.
01:07Ratner, who directed Melania Trump's self-titled documentary and the heavily acclaimed Rush Hour franchise,
01:13joined the president in China to scout filming locations for Rush Hour 4, as well as meeting with cast and
01:19crew,
01:19his spokesperson told the Post.
01:22And the director hasn't been quiet about the trip.
01:24Ratner has been documenting every moment of the journey on his Instagram stories,
01:28like his arrival on Air Force One,
01:30a few views outside China's Great Hall of the People,
01:33a quick snap featuring Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio,
01:36a short video featuring Trump saying hello to the director,
01:39and even a humorous jab at Steven Chung,
01:42joking that the White House communications director would be cast as the villain in the next Rush Hour flick.
01:47Trump has reportedly been a huge advocate of reviving the Rush Hour franchise
01:51and has encouraged his billionaire ally, Larry Ellison,
01:55to revive the mismatched buddy cop franchise starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker
01:59once Ellison's Paramount Pictures purchased rights holder at Warner Bros. Discovery.
02:04The third and most recent film in the franchise came out in 2007.
02:07Rush Hour 4 will mark the first time Ratner has filmed in China,
02:11his spokesperson said, adding that cameras are set to start rolling next year.
02:15Ratner, who also directed X-Men The Last Stand, Tower Heist,
02:19and a live-action version of Hercules, starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson,
02:23was previously shunned from Hollywood after six women accused him of sexual misconduct in 2017.
02:29Ratner has denied the allegations and was never charged.
02:32Ratner also landed in hot water in January when the DOJ released photos of him and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
02:38during a massive information dump.
02:40In one photo, the Rush Hour director was on the far left end of a couch,
02:44clad in a white shirt and denim jeans, embracing a woman who was seated next to the disgraced financier.
02:50Ratner later told Fox News Digital that the mystery woman he was caught embracing was actually his former fiancée.
