00:00Yo.
00:01Previously on Seven Little Johnstons,
00:04you got three of the hardest critics.
00:05I don't think I'll be able to look at Amber's face.
00:08I'll be done.
00:10If Bryce can deliver his speech to the cardboard cutout
00:13version of Liz, he can deliver it to anybody that
00:17shows up to this wedding.
00:23What size were your pants?
00:24You can't fit them?
00:25You can't button them?
00:27I can't.
00:28Dad definitely looks a little, like, tight in the tux.
00:31It looks like you're about to, like, hulk out.
00:33Like, if it goes like this, it's, like,
00:35it's going to pop all the buttons.
00:36I probably put on a little light.
00:38Yeah, it's...
00:39Might be a lot of work for you, Miss Amy.
00:43Can I hear a song together?
00:44Yeah, if we did that.
00:46The alterations will take about three weeks,
00:48which leaves us about a week before the wedding.
00:51And the alterations need to be right,
00:54because there is no room for error.
00:58How are you doing?
01:00I think she knew we were there.
01:02Yeah, I think so, too.
01:04You know, losing Trent's mom, it's difficult.
01:07Nana, thank you for the laughter, the lessons, and the love.
01:10We will miss your voice, your cooking, your wit,
01:12your sugars, and your hugs.
01:14At least she won't be suffering no more.
01:16She's going to be in a happy, the happiest place.
01:35For some reason, we have to plant five plants for Nana.
01:40She's a big girl.
01:41For her five favorite grandkids.
01:43I guess.
01:45I've got to tape measure,
01:46because we need to make them symmetrical.
01:49With Nana's recent passing,
01:50we had a wonderful celebration of life for her.
01:55But we still have a lot going on.
01:57We have Halloween coming up and the wedding in a few days.
02:02All right, Dad says we have to measure these things.
02:05These are the ones that kind of get, like, really, really big.
02:07Yeah.
02:08Yeah.
02:09We are 10 days away from the wedding,
02:11so it's all about multitasking
02:13and doing more than one thing at one time.
02:21Wow, those pants.
02:22That's one small step for man.
02:23That's one giant leap for mankind.
02:25Oh, God, Dad.
02:28There's your Halloween costume.
02:30I'm going to wear this Space Odyssey sweatsuit
02:33to try to burn off some calories and lose some weight.
02:36The goal is let's get in the tux for the wedding.
02:41That's the goal.
02:42Right now.
02:42Putting on a sweatsuit is not going to do the job
02:45to lose about 10, 15 pounds in order to fit in your suit.
02:49But I guess, you know, it is cute to, you know,
02:51try and see if it works while we're planting Hannah's bushes.
02:55Where's your first bush at?
02:56It's right here?
02:57Mm-hmm.
02:58Mom said to line it up.
03:00I like that.
03:01Yeah.
03:02But see, this thing is going to get big,
03:03and that line, that, that.
03:04I know they're going to get big, but I also want them to.
03:07I'm the landscaper.
03:08I understand that.
03:09But you weren't going to put them here.
03:13At Nana's home on Blackberry Court,
03:15where I grew up all my life,
03:16Nana had hydrangea bushes all over her property.
03:20And they were always very pretty and very beautiful,
03:22and they grew very well.
03:24So I'm hoping that these will do the same.
03:26In addition to Nana casting down her love and her sunshine that she always brought.
03:33How did Nana's huge?
03:35They got massive.
03:36Because they stayed in the shade.
03:37They were on the side of her house.
03:53Fill it in for her life.
03:56And use your shovel blade, look, to go around the root ball to pack it in.
04:00Like this, once it's in the ground.
04:01It's good.
04:01It's, it's...
04:02Don't tell him.
04:03Yeah, and then down the hole.
04:04He's hit him.
04:04Okay.
04:05I planted 20 something thing bushes at my house.
04:08We're breaking this thing too.
04:08Okay, you can't break it.
04:10The root ball needs to be about this high above the ground.
04:14What?
04:15The root ball?
04:15It is above, it's above the ground.
04:17About this high above the ground.
04:20I'm getting ready to hand you this shovel.
04:23I don't, you said you know how to do this.
04:24I do, it's a, it's that high above the ground.
04:27Okay.
04:29I know how bushes are planted.
04:34I know how bushes are planted the Trent Johnston way.
04:37I've been doing it for a very long time.
04:39But Trent cannot help himself but have to tell me how to do it.
04:46I will say, you think she's good at planting bushes.
04:49You ought to see her trim bush, bushes.
04:55Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty.
04:56You got to take off the sweatsuit and the boots so we can see how much weight you lost.
05:01Ooh, the inside of this thing is wet.
05:02That's gross.
05:03That's gross.
05:04It is, ew.
05:05Oh yeah.
05:06Oh, oh yeah, he is sweating.
05:12Right now it's all about losing weight and fitting into this tux.
05:15And I need to make sure I weigh in as light as possible.
05:21So pants and the boots and the socks, I ain't got no shame in my game.
05:25All the way down to the underwear.
05:27It is what it is.
05:27Nana would have loved it.
05:31You got to look up.
05:33Yeah.
05:33Straight up.
05:35No, look up.
05:36Look up.
05:37Yeah, you got to like, like this.
05:39There you go.
05:40I was hoping he doesn't strip too much because I don't want to see too much of his junk.
05:46Let's try something.
05:48Oh, you think the concrete's going to change?
05:49Well, it's like, because you're kind of going down.
05:52It's fine.
05:53Wait, do it here.
05:54This morning when I woke up, I weighed in at about 142.
05:58My goal is somewhere in the 130s.
06:02Then you got to look up.
06:04You can't look down.
06:05Yeah, look up.
06:06I'll let you know.
06:09There you go.
06:10What is it?
06:11140.
06:12Well, it was 139.
06:13139.
06:14What do I need for 139?
06:16You ready?
06:17Oh, no.
06:18No.
06:18Oh, my God.
06:20I knew we were trying to achieve weight.
06:22So, you know, the less, the better.
06:24But Nana would have loved it, but she'd have never stood on that scale herself.
06:29Good job.
06:30We got five bushes planted.
06:33Dad lost a few pounds.
06:35This sweatsuit slash bait suit has helped me lose a little weight.
06:39But I've got to lose another four or five pounds.
06:42So we have to get very creative because I'm the only one that can shrink.
06:46The tux cannot get larger.
06:55Look out, she's coming.
06:58Nobody can stop her.
07:00Yeah.
07:04Say ding dong.
07:05Trick or treat.
07:07Oh, Lizzie and Bryce.
07:11Oh, my gosh.
07:14Happy Halloween.
07:17Whoa.
07:18Hello.
07:19Hello.
07:19You look so cute.
07:22You're laughing, man.
07:23You're so cute, lady.
07:24I want Layton to enjoy these holidays that are coming up, even though with the stress of the
07:30wedding and us needing to knock out as much wedding stuff as we can.
07:34But we have a kid, and she needs to experience these things and have that fun childhood.
07:39Take that one.
07:40I'll take this one.
07:43Layton loved strawberries, and we found the most adorable costume for her to wear.
07:48And I was like, you know what?
07:50Let's let the whole family dress the best fruits and veggies.
07:52Oh, that's a cute peach.
07:55It's a pink peach.
07:57Eggplant.
07:59Jonas, you know, my costume can't fit him because ultimately, I can say this because he's my
08:04brother.
08:05He can be a dick sometimes.
08:09Good God.
08:12Yours is right there.
08:15It was a raffle, so you got the last picking.
08:18What is this, broccoli?
08:20And where are we going with this?
08:22Swin Oaks Farm for the fall festival.
08:24At least one picture, and you guys can strip them off, but just one.
08:29Are all the other dads going to be dressed like this?
08:31I hope so.
08:32If not, I'm sorry.
08:33It said on there, come in your costumes.
08:36Dad was broccoli.
08:39You know, just a hearty vegetable that a lot of people tend to love.
08:43And it's good when you put a little flavor on it.
08:46So, yeah, that's my dad.
08:48What am I supposed to look at?
08:51Your arm holes are all the way down there.
08:53Yeah.
08:54Sorry, these are not little people friends.
08:56Bryce is helping you.
08:57Your face is right.
08:58Nope, nope, nope.
08:59Stop.
09:00I'm trying to help you.
09:03Gee.
09:05I think all this wedding stress is getting to my dad, or because he's having to lose weight,
09:11I would say not eating as much as he wants is causing his impatience and
09:17orneriness to come out.
09:18But I hope this fall festival will do him well.
09:20He could eat some broccoli.
09:30He's fucking pissed.
09:37Oh, Jesus, God.
09:40I can't see .
10:07I mean, we look ridiculous in these costumes.
10:10Us adults do.
10:15And there's nobody else dressed up.
10:17Yeah, and no one else was dressing up as a, I don't know.
10:20Nobody else dressed up for the festival.
10:22Yeah, that wasn't fun.
10:24Oh my God, Dad.
10:26The last thing this broccoli needed to do was fall and hit his head and break some spears.
10:31Yeah.
10:32But our little strawberry stayed a strawberry the whole time.
10:36You need a little, are you dancing, you dancing?
10:38Get it girl, get it, get it.
10:42Yeah.
10:42Yeah.
10:43I know, we got to find the ducks.
10:46Oh, boiled peanuts.
10:51You get one?
10:53Yeah, I'll pick .
10:55You'll pick one for her? You sound like her dad.
10:57Got it.
11:02So cute. I hope she does this well for the wedding.
11:05I think it would be very cute to see Layton walk down the aisle and dress as a strawberry.
11:11She'd look cute either way, wearing a fireball dress, a strawberry, whatever.
11:16She'd be cute either way.
11:18Y'all gonna come over tomorrow so we can finish up our list?
11:21Yeah.
11:21Fuck, fuck.
11:22Fuck, fuck.
11:23Have we practiced more with Flyer Girl?
11:26Pumpkin.
11:28Layton's gonna do what Layton wants to do.
11:30If Layton does not want to walk down the aisle, it's perfectly fine for either Bryce to come down or
11:35me to get up, come around, and carry her down.
11:38It's just gonna happen how it happens.
11:39I just gotta let the day play.
11:41Layton had a pretty good time at the festival.
11:43I was very happy to see her, you know, just having fun out there.
11:46But in the back of my head, I'm just thinking of all the last-minute things that we need to
11:51do for our wedding.
11:52Anybody want to eat this?
11:53No.
11:54No.
11:54Don't throw the jug away.
11:55Jesus loves you.
12:00Everything I wanted, yes, I'm coming for it.
12:03Wrap it in a bowl, baby, all my wishes granted.
12:07Lolly?
12:09Yes?
12:09Hi.
12:10Hey.
12:11Oh, you got it back?
12:12Yeah.
12:14I'm snatched.
12:15Let's go ahead and do this before I pass out.
12:17We're about a week away from the wedding, and it's time for me to try on my wedding dress to
12:23make sure that all the alterations were done and were successful.
12:26Just hope and pray that it looks good.
12:31All right.
12:32Ready?
12:37Let's see.
12:38Let's see.
12:41Hopefully it...
12:43Wow.
12:44That looks a little nervousness.
12:48It's just, you know, it's a holding your breath moment because we didn't get any calls from Ms. Lee, and
12:55it's just kind of like we're not going to jinx anything, we're not going to say anything until we put
13:00it on.
13:00Okay, hold on.
13:02I've got to figure this out.
13:03I'm hoping it's right.
13:11Okay, hold on.
13:13I've got to figure this out.
13:14So we just got Elizabeth's dress back, and I am holding my breath that it's exactly what Elizabeth wanted.
13:22There you go.
13:28Yeah.
13:29Yeah.
13:29I just need heels.
13:30That's the only thing.
13:32Because I think my heels...
13:33Hold on a minute.
13:34Well, I've got to look in the mirror.
13:38Just want to look at it from the side.
13:47I really want to stand.
13:49It's okay.
13:50Let me go see if I can find something.
13:52Squatty-potty!
13:55Okay.
13:55My shoes are supposed to be here tomorrow, but you ain't going to be this high up.
14:01No, but I just want to visualize a little bit more.
14:06It feels like the dress is fitting my body well, but without shoes, I won't really be able to tell
14:12if it's, you know, perfect.
14:14Okay.
14:16No, she did a very good job.
14:23What's wrong?
14:26I just feel like I think it needs to be shortened because you're nowhere near going to be that tall
14:34of a shoe.
14:36It fits very well.
14:37It is just too long.
14:40I doubt Elizabeth is going to be wearing six-inch heels at the wedding.
14:45This right here needs to be a little bit more, and this right here needs to be, like, she got
14:50it right here in the middle, but it's still too long.
14:55It's a week away from the wedding, and we would love to get the dress altered, so we have to
15:01figure this out very quickly.
15:03So it's something I still can't cross off my list, and I'm just stressed.
15:39The cold plunge helps your body somehow reduce fat and lose weight.
15:46I'll tell you, I'm going to get my body where I fit in that tux with room.
15:50You already look like your belly and neck have shrunk, so.
15:53A little bit.
15:54Yeah.
15:55I got to get my titties down.
15:56I definitely think it's pretty crazy that Dad thinks this is one way to lose some weight, but since he
16:03needs to fit in his tux to walk me down the aisle, he's got to do what he can to
16:07get to that point.
16:08Safety first.
16:11Oh, my gosh.
16:13That's cold for me right now.
16:16That's cold.
16:17The recommended temperature for cold plunge is, like, 50.
16:20Yeah, it's supposed to be, like, 50 degrees.
16:21And at one point, I think we got to, like, 38.
16:23See, I don't find it.
16:24You're not going to go any lower?
16:25No.
16:26Oh, .
16:29How's your pistol feel?
16:32Yeah.
16:33I thought we had to stay.
16:34All bald, no bat.
16:38There's not a man on this planet that can get in that water and things not draw up.
16:43Reduce in size.
16:44Nope.
16:44Not going to happen.
16:46One, two, three.
16:47Just do it.
16:48Oh.
16:50.
16:51Ooh.
16:52Jonah, you felt like that thing just disappeared when you got in the water.
16:54No comment.
16:56Next question.
16:58Look how red his legs are.
17:00You're red.
17:00Look how red his legs are red.
17:02All right.
17:03It's next.
17:03Are we going?
17:04Yeah.
17:07Emma can do it.
17:10She's going to do it fast.
17:11Yeah.
17:13See?
17:15I would definitely say Emma's one of the more extreme members of the family when it comes
17:19to certain things.
17:22Emma doesn't always have to win, but she just does.
17:29Any comfort at all?
17:31That's the quietest she's ever been.
17:33I know she's a, I think she was all mental, like, just, but she did good.
17:39Oh, she's nuts.
17:44She's a tough girl.
17:46I just need to, just need to win.
17:49All right.
17:51All right, dad.
17:52Yeah, you got to redeem yourself.
17:54I'm not really sure dad's going to get into this cold plunge because he doesn't like water.
18:00I promise you, you're going to want to take your shirt off.
18:02When you get out, this is going to be 10 times heavier and another cold object.
18:08And that water is going to be very cold, so I don't think so.
18:13Don't grab the edge.
18:15Just don't hurt yourself.
18:17Don't.
18:17Don't over.
18:18Yeah, don't.
18:19Just get it, Jesus.
18:20I'm going to get it.
18:21If you fall, you won't be able to feel anything.
18:22Oh, mom, you probably tie, yeah, tie them up because he's in.
18:27Dad, don't hold.
18:34What?
18:34What's the sickest?
18:3620.
18:3620.
18:37Yeah, you got to go in.
18:39Yeah, yeah, at least to your waist.
18:41Step down and collapse it.
18:42No, don't you collapse that.
18:45I don't know.
18:46Leave his ass in there.
18:49Just collapse it.
18:50Leave it in there, but just collapse it so you can get down.
18:54He's trying to get the side boobs.
18:56Actually, I mean, that's his .
18:57Yeah.
18:59A baptism's .
19:01We're due for a baptism.
19:04No, don't you touch that stone.
19:05Get away, Pete.
19:06Okay.
19:07Wow, it's not like Nana.
19:09Oh, God, no.
19:13That was some Nana reincarnation.
19:16My dad's definitely more like Nana than he wants to admit.
19:30I don't need a towel.
19:31Jonah says, ooh, yeah.
19:35I don't feel like I lost any weight.
19:36I feel like I lost some things, but it wasn't weight.
19:40I can guarantee you that that did not help shrink some weight.
19:46Yeah.
19:47It strengthened your mind.
19:49It wasn't one of my smarter ideas.
19:51I promise you all that.
19:52On a serious note, this cold plunge did absolutely nothing for me,
19:57but I still have to fit in this tux and gase.
20:00Anybody else?
20:01Nope.
20:01Nope.
20:03I guess we put a hair dryer on the Uber.
20:12We can start off by cutting all of our material,
20:14so we're going to make them all 65-degree angle.
20:18We're down to the wire now.
20:20The last big project before the wedding is building these arches.
20:24Look at that.
20:25That's cutting wood right there.
20:30The wedding arches are pretty important
20:32because this is where the main event of the wedding will be happening,
20:35the ceremony.
20:36Would you say it's like the second or third most important part of the wedding?
20:40First important is having enough food.
20:42Second is having enough seating.
20:44Third is decorations and all the other stuff.
20:47We're probably not on the same page.
20:49The third most important thing was the bride and the bride.
20:52The second, the arches and the platform.
20:54What's your first?
20:55Your father.
20:56The father of the bride getting everything ready.
20:59That angle's not light enough.
21:04A while back, Elizabeth and I sketched up an arch of what we liked,
21:08and it just so happened Amber and Elizabeth found some plans
21:12that were a lot like the arch that Elizabeth and I came up with.
21:1890.
21:19The instructions were a little confusing as far as all these angles.
21:24So these two 70s need to come off six inches to stay symmetrical.
21:34I guess.
21:35I don't know.
21:37I feel like the instructions should have had like overall dimensions.
21:40Yes.
21:41Overall dimensions of like how big this entire project is,
21:44that gives you the basic footprint of this arch.
21:49But it didn't.
21:51The angle I need to be cutting.
21:54Oh, you were looking at.
21:56I was looking at 65, 50.
21:57Oh, okay.
21:58I need to be cutting 25 and 40.
22:00But I openly admit that I was looking at the roll number for the angles.
22:06And it was more carpenter error than it was instructional error.
22:22There you go.
22:24Once we realized the mistake that we were running into, it got a little bit easier.
22:30That's it.
22:32That's it.
22:33That's really it.
22:37Cool.
22:38It's nice to cherish these moments with my dad.
22:41Uh, especially long as there's no arguments involved.
22:46Come around.
22:47See that joint?
22:48Yeah.
22:48You got to pull that joint together.
22:49You go down a little bit more.
22:51It's easier to control over again.
22:53It'll be nice to look back on and say,
22:55yeah, me and my dad did this together and we made that beautiful arch.
22:59Something that I'll never forget.
23:04We're finally making headway on this project.
23:06And all of a sudden, rain.
23:09The bugs must have eaten up the bourbon bottle since it was plastic.
23:12Now it's raining.
23:14This farmer's almanac mythical theory of burying a whiskey bottle before the wedding to bring good weather.
23:24It worked.
23:26We went five weeks without rain.
23:29But the idea is it not rain on your wedding day.
23:34It's pouring down raining.
23:35I think we should bail out on this because we got more rain coming.
23:39We can't sand or stain this.
23:40Elizabeth and I really needed to get this arch finished.
23:43But now everything's on hold because we have to wait for it to dry out.
23:47We just can't seem to get things done.
23:50First, it's the dress.
23:51Then it's these wedding arches.
23:53And we're only days away from the wedding.
24:20Today is the very first day of wedding set up.
24:25The big tent.
24:25The dance floor.
24:26The tables and chairs.
24:28The ceremony area.
24:36All the work that we have had to do in order to get the field ready for the wedding includes
24:42taking a tree down.
24:50Went pretty good.
24:52Laying flagstones.
24:55Building a fire pit.
24:57That one with the flagstones.
24:59No, that was totally different project.
25:01Running a temporary water line about 300 yards down to an area that we cleared out for the kitchen and
25:09catering tent.
25:11And let's don't forget about the two pallets aside that we laid around the pavilion to guarantee some grass.
25:23It has finally stopped raining and has dried up.
25:26However, it appears that it's going to be raining on and off.
25:30So, we are just trying to stay optimistic that the weather holds out for the wedding.
25:48All right.
25:49You ready for some muffins?
25:52Yeah.
25:53Hey.
25:54Hey.
25:55Good morning.
25:56Okay.
25:56I heard you.
25:57Didn't see you.
25:57We brought breakfast.
25:59Breakfast.
26:00Tons of breakfast.
26:01Carol and Daisy are coming over a couple days before the wedding and they're bringing over some breakfast and coffee
26:07and we are doing a little, you know, girl catch up.
26:11Bridesmaids and bacon.
26:12Bridesmaids and brews.
26:15Coffee brew.
26:16Sisters and sausage.
26:18Ew.
26:19No.
26:20Do not say that.
26:21So, what's been new with y'all?
26:23Um, let's see here.
26:24Traveling a bunch with some work and then just fun stuff.
26:27Time is flying.
26:29It's easy to take things for granted.
26:31So, like, now that we don't see each other as much and she's a mom, it's like the moments that
26:35we do have together, we just take it all in and enjoy the moment that we have together.
26:39We're busy, but I know y'all are busy.
26:41Yeah.
26:42It's been stressful as far as, like, the whole dress thing.
26:44Mm-hmm.
26:45So, after talking to the seamstress, there isn't time, you know, to shorten it any more than it already is.
26:50So, now it's just to find shoes that make the dress work.
26:54We are wearing platform shoes.
26:55My biggest concern was, okay, can I walk in these shoes with this dress?
27:00I definitely am going to practice walking in them just to make sure I don't trip and fall on my
27:05face.
27:05We're having a lot of help with mom and dad doing the field, all the field work.
27:09Yeah.
27:10I think it'll mean more, too.
27:11Mm-hmm.
27:11I feel like you've made so many memories in that backyard that, like...
27:15Exactly.
27:15I mean, that's where we met Bryce, and now you're getting married there.
27:19What, honey?
27:19Just imagine where we'll be in, like, seven, eight more years.
27:24Crazy.
27:25Two or three kids, then.
27:27Whoa.
27:28I can just picture us in the future on the beach.
27:32With our three other kids?
27:35Uh, I want to say probably three.
27:37Two.
27:38I kind of just pushed it there.
27:41I told Bryce that we would start trying after the wedding.
27:45Give her one more sibling, but probably no more than two, I'd say.
27:49You're thinking two?
27:50Mm-hmm.
27:51Two others.
27:53So then that's three, then?
27:54Yeah.
27:55All right.
27:56We're done.
27:56Three would be four.
27:57Layton's here.
27:58You never know.
27:59We just might have twin sex.
28:01So have you thought any more about the honeymoon, like, what y'all are gonna do?
28:04We've been wanting to do Hawaii.
28:06Oh, yes.
28:07I told him I can't do a week.
28:09I just don't want to leave her that long.
28:11That's hard.
28:12No, that's hard.
28:13I don't.
28:13In Hawaii.
28:14I know it's hard, too, but just think about us, too.
28:16I know.
28:17He's like, think about us.
28:18We need this.
28:18And I'm like, yes, absolutely.
28:20I kind of agree a little bit.
28:21I know it'll be hard to leave Layton, I know.
28:23But I think y'all also need that time.
28:25And that's a big trip.
28:26Maybe five days, at least.
28:28Uh-huh.
28:30You know, decision is pretty much still up in the air.
28:33We're just ready to get to the wedding and get through the wedding before we make any definite plans.
28:40What's up?
28:41What's up?
28:41What can I say?
28:42No.
28:43Oh!
28:44She's growing up so fast.
28:45Thanks again for having us.
28:47Thank you for breakfast.
28:48Of course.
28:49I'm about to have to go hit the toilet.
28:55Oh, yeah.
28:57Still going up, yeah, on the floor.
28:59Fresh now, you thought I was cool before.
29:01One more time when my love was.
29:03Put your hands up if you want one.
29:05All the way up, yeah, on the floor.
29:08Fresh now, you thought I was cool before.
29:10One more time when my love was.
29:12Put your hands up if you want one.
29:15I was calling to ask you if you want to help me with the platform.
29:18Yeah.
29:20We got some sunshine, and Liz and I were able to finish up the arches.
29:25We set out lots and lots of black plastic on the pool patio, and Bryce and Elizabeth would
29:31come over and work on staining the arches.
29:34All right.
29:35We're ready.
29:38Hold on.
29:43Yeah.
29:50Yeah, man.
29:53I'll go slow.
29:55This thing's huge.
29:56If it falls and breaks, we're screwed.
30:02Hey.
30:04I told you.
30:05I knew.
30:05Hey.
30:06What?
30:06You got to listen to me on some things.
30:08When you're bouncing around, see how close that thing's already sliding off the edge?
30:12Are you holding it back this way?
30:13This hasn't moved.
30:16Yeah, this part hasn't moved.
30:34Keep going.
30:42Let's set it up there first.
30:46It's just a little bowed, but see?
30:50It's not bowed.
30:51It's just, it'll get fastened.
30:53We have the arches in place, the platform in place, the tent is set up, and we are going
31:02to do one last final walkthrough.
31:04Whew.
31:05Papa's got some flags.
31:07Come here, girl.
31:09All right.
31:09Let's go get Papa's.
31:10Hey, Miss Julie.
31:11Hi.
31:13Um, we got a little, we're missing tables.
31:20We're missing the high-top tables.
31:22We're supposed to have two heights right here.
31:24That's what I thought.
31:26Yeah.
31:27Right now, we're missing six of the normal high-top bistros.
31:32We're missing a cocktail food table.
31:35We're missing a six-foot table for drinks.
31:37So we need another, I don't know if this is an eight-foot or what?
31:42Yeah, this is an eight-foot, and we're supposed to have two six-foots.
31:46We only have one.
31:47Don't need that eight-foot.
31:48There are still several things that need to arrive, that need to be put in place and completed.
31:56Home stretch.
31:57Just a little bit more to go.
31:59It does naturally relieve some unease and some unsettlement with us.
32:05The rehearsal is tomorrow, so all of these little issues need to be worked out like now.
32:22The sunrise wakes me with a golden touch.
32:27The world outside, it don't ask for much.
32:32But I lace my boots and I hit the ground.
32:37Chasing dreams where they can't be found.
32:40It has been about six months since Elizabeth and Bryce got engaged.
32:44And, you know, since that time, a lot of work has gone on.
32:49Now we are at the day before the wedding.
32:52Hey, Ken.
32:53How are you?
32:54Thank you for coming.
32:55Thank you for coming.
32:56Thank you for coming.
32:57So all wedding party and parents, come on down.
33:04Papa, Uncle John, Jonah, we're going to get this rehearsal started.
33:08But we need grandparents' wedding party to head to the ceremony site, please.
33:13You know, I'm not stressing so bad about the weather.
33:16We all looked for the big day and it showed some light showers like 12 a.m.
33:22We were like, ah, okay, that's perfectly fine.
33:24It'll dry up afterwards.
33:25We'll go out and do a full run through and then we'll do it however many times you need to.
33:30Gotcha.
33:33I feel like Elizabeth and Bryce are happy and, you know, ready to take on tomorrow.
33:40You see Pothole, Nathan?
33:41Go.
33:43All right.
33:48Good job.
33:49Good job.
33:50Good job, dude.
33:51Yes, Dad.
33:53Let's go ahead and stand for now.
33:56I know Mom was cracking jokes about how you're going to walk.
33:59Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
34:06We're excited.
34:07Yes.
34:08We've been waiting for this day for a long, long time and it's finally here and we're excited
34:14just to be gaining another dollar-in-law.
34:17Yep.
34:18Yeah.
34:19Woo, pizza's here.
34:25After doing the rehearsal, all I could think about was that speech that was coming up.
34:31I was just trying to stay calm, feel relaxed and just not, you know, think too much.
34:41Based on our run-throughs with Bryce's speech that we've helped him with, I think really
34:45the only thing that Bryce had to work on was just his eye contact so, like, he can look
34:49up at the crowd.
34:50All right, everybody.
34:52We're going to get started.
34:54Bryce is going to say a few words before we start eating.
34:58Okay.
34:59All right.
35:00So we would like to begin by thanking all of you for being here tonight.
35:06Having our families gathered together on the night before an important day is an incredible
35:11gift and we will not take it for granted.
35:14Tonight is especially meaningful because it also happens to be my parents' wedding anniversary.
35:21Happy 33 years to you both and we wish you many more ahead.
35:27We have been married 33 years today.
35:30We were just babies.
35:32Gosh, we were.
35:34But yeah, 33 years.
35:36To my fiance's family, it is an honor to be joining your family and I am committed to
35:42cherishing and caring for your daughter and granddaughter for the rest of my life.
35:53I thought Bryce did a really good job on his speech.
35:56I can tell he practiced a good bit.
35:58Like his flow was good.
36:00His eye contact was good.
36:01So I think he did a really good job overall.
36:12I think it's beautiful set up what they have.
36:14They've been very blessed to have this much, you know, property to do this on.
36:19Not every day you can have a wedding in your backyard.
36:20It's my next wedding that I'll probably be in is either this one, this one.
36:24Supposedly Jonah's like ready.
36:27So excited to be able to stand beside her tomorrow on her big day.
36:31Ready?
36:31Deez, deez, deez.
36:33My only advice for Liz is good luck being married to a Bolden.
36:40I'm teasing.
36:50The rain today, I feel like Lizzie's a little bit stressed about it.
36:57It's raining.
37:02Lizzie is already freaking out because this rain is just downpouring.
37:07When you decide to get married, you have to pick a day.
37:10But you can't pick the weather.
37:12We're excited for the day and the ceremony and the reception and all of that.
37:17But it's just there's always so much lead up.
37:22I need dad.
37:23OK.
37:24What's the matter?
37:25We're having issues with golf carts.
37:27Oh, crap.
37:33We got our rehearsal.
37:35We got our dinner done.
37:36By the time we were ready to wrap up, as you can see, we are raining.
37:44We're having issues with golf carts.
37:47Bryce.
37:49Bryce, how do you lay this down?
37:51You what?
37:52How do you lay this back down?
37:56Hey, can you get up the hill?
37:57I know it.
38:01This just sucks because now it's time for everybody to go home and get some rest and prep for the
38:06big day.
38:07And the golf carts can't go up the hill.
38:08So now we're having to use the good old mule to get people to their cars.
38:13And it's just so good.
38:16Pretty much trying to figure out how to get everybody out of here without getting wet
38:20and without, you know, getting hurt.
38:23Yeah.
38:24I know y'all don't think I can jump up in.
38:26No, no, no.
38:28Oh, OK.
38:29The very first family members that I take is Bryce's grandparents.
38:34Dry that.
38:35Use that to dry a seat off the hill, too.
38:36That's all right.
38:38Why is he standing?
38:39I don't know.
38:40The seat's down.
38:41Please.
38:42I look back there, and the roof is not covered in the back seat.
38:46Daddy being like, I'm all right.
38:47Let's just go.
38:48And I was like, no, we got to fold it down anyways.
38:50They didn't flip the roof back.
38:53Bryce.
38:54Go, Bryce.
38:54Lord, Jesus, help me.
38:55Oh, crap.
38:57So the roof has been folded over all day.
38:59And it's been raining for an hour and a half now.
39:02And Bryce, bless his heart, he folds that roof over.
39:06Sorry about that.
39:08Oh.
39:11Oh, my God.
39:12The roof was popped up.
39:14Oh, my God.
39:14Sorry about that, Daddy B.
39:16He dumps a gallon of water down his grandfather's back.
39:19He went straight down his neck, his back, his britches, everything.
39:23And I was just like, oh, boy.
39:26Oh, my God.
39:28Did he dump it all over you?
39:29Yeah.
39:30And, yep, I'm glad she did, because I did, too.
39:32Out of anybody, Daddy B did not deserve that.
39:36I said, Mama B, we're going to slide a little bit.
39:37Let's just go.
39:38We'll be all right.
39:45There's so much mud.
39:47Golf carts stuck.
39:48That wasn't cluster .
39:49Yeah, them little slink tie golf carts right there ain't going to do it.
39:52I can get them through the woods.
39:54I can't get them up this hill.
39:55Between now and after the wedding, nothing is going to dry up.
40:00It is mud from here to the end of the wedding.
40:04Trent's hard work.
40:06Everybody's hard work.
40:09All of this has been ruined within two hours.
40:12Just a two-hour rain has changed everything.
40:21I'm seeing all this rain.
40:23I'm seeing all this mud.
40:25I just don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.
40:31Next time on Seven Bull Johnstons.
40:34Oh, man.
40:35Can I get them here?
40:35Woo!
40:37With any big events that the Johnstons hold, it's stressful.
40:42In the field right now, we currently have three vehicles stuck in the mud.
40:48At least I have my girls here to try to have some fun.
40:52I just found out I got into nursing school.
40:53Yeah.
40:55But now there might be something.
40:57Bryce got happy on Halloween, pretty much.
40:59The chances of me possibly being pregnant are about 50-50.
41:03So next week, if something doesn't come knocking on my front door,
41:06we'll be determining something.
41:11All right.
41:12Who remembers who's first?
41:14No, no, no.
