00:00I really want to try this BioRepeal facial because there's no downtime.
00:05I can walk out of here today, go about my business, no redness, no peeling,
00:10and still have the same great results.
00:17Hey guys, it's Courtney. I'm here at StyleA Studios in New York City to try a brand new peel called
00:23the BioRepeal.
00:24Will it be worth the time, the pain, and the money? Let's go find out.
00:31So I have gotten chemical peels before in the past, and they were a little harsh.
00:37There was a lot of peeling. I felt like a snake for about a week.
00:41To me, the results weren't worth a week of kind of downtime,
00:45and I'm really looking forward to having something where I get the same results with clear skin, less fine lines,
00:53fading some of my hyperpigmentation and acne scarring, but without the downtime.
00:57Hi, I'm Elizabeth Grace Hand, and I'm an esthetician and owner of StyleA Studios in New York City.
01:03I started StyleA Studios to combine my medical and spa background.
01:08I felt it was something that was missing in the city, and I wanted to bring it all together
01:12and create a really bespoke, personalized space for men, women to get their skin treated.
01:19The cost of the BioRepeal is $350. There is no flaking, no peeling.
01:25The skin looks amazing. I like calling it the gloss skin peel because the skin actually looks like it's a
01:30bit reflective
01:30because it is getting off those skin cells without any kind of downtime.
01:35Hi, Elizabeth. Hi.
01:36I'm so excited to be here. I'm so excited you're here.
01:39So tell me, you know, a little bit about the BioRepeal and like what makes it different from a normal
01:45or a different chemical peel.
01:47The reason that you don't have any downtime or flake from it is because of the formulation.
01:52It creates this sort of fatty layer, so it is protecting the surface of the skin, and that's why you
01:57don't peel.
01:58So rather than starting from the top down, it's going from the inside out to heal the skin.
02:02And that's why you don't have any downtime, but you still get those amazing brightening effects from it.
02:07Amazing. That makes me really, really excited.
02:09And then also when it comes to melanated skin, I do want to make sure that my skin in particular
02:14is protected
02:14and anything that I'm doing is curated for my skin concerns.
02:19So is this peel safe for me?
02:22So with this peel, it is really great because it works for Fitzpatrick's 4 through 6, which is our darker
02:29skin type.
02:29The thing about melanin that is so great is that it's there to protect your skin, but to kind of
02:35help with any of the pigmentation,
02:36a lot of things that we do for lighter skin, like lasers, you can't do on darker skin because it's
02:42targeting that melanin.
02:43So with this, because it's going from the inside out versus the top down,
02:47you're much, much less likely to have any kind of hyperpigmentation.
02:51Well, that's great. I'm so excited.
02:53I'm too. I will go ahead and set it up for you.
02:55Amazing.
02:56So we're starting by applying a cleansing oil to remove all of Courtney's makeup.
03:01Now we're going in with the cream cleansing gel to prep her skin for the peel.
03:05We're going to degrease her skin by applying alcohol.
03:09Now we're going in with the peel.
03:12We're starting on her forehead using dots.
03:15Once we're done with all of the dots, we're going to rub it in on the forehead and then move
03:19over to the cheek and apply the dots on the cheek.
03:23Rub that in and then we'll move on to the other side of the face.
03:26I noticed Courtney's skin is really responding to the peel quickly, so we're only going to leave it on for
03:31a couple of minutes.
03:32Now that the peel has been removed, we're going to go in with the Bio Rehydra Revitalizing Hydrating Serum followed
03:39by LED light.
03:40The LED light has a mix of red, blue and near infrared light to calm redness, reduce inflammation and help
03:49with collagen and elastin production.
03:51After the LED, we're finishing it up with the Bio Relift Revitalizing Firming Cream followed by a really hydrating oil
03:58to really lock in all the moisture.
04:00So we just finished your first Bio Repeal. How do you feel?
04:04I feel so good. My skin feels super glossy and moisturized and I'm just so excited to see the results.
04:12It looks so good. Did you feel any pain during the treatment?
04:15I felt tingling. There were certain areas of my skin that I felt like maybe were a little more sensitive
04:20than others, but not painful at all, especially compared to some of the other chemical pills that I've had in
04:25the past.
04:26So what do I need to do for aftercare?
04:27So for the next week after the Bio Repeal, I'm going to stay away from all acids and retinol, just
04:34focus on hydration.
04:35Lots of hydrating serum, antioxidant serum and lots of moisture.
04:39After a week, you can start incorporating retinol and acids back into the routine.
04:44Amazing.
04:45So it has been two weeks since I got the Bio Repeal facial and I have to say that my
04:52skin is glowing.
04:55Right now I have on no makeup whatsoever. Even after one treatment, I do think that my skin just overall
05:02looks more even and glowy.
05:04My pores are smaller and I'm super, super, super happy with the results.
