01:40We have the warm weather.

01:43Many communities here can offer that vibrant culture so they can experience Puerto Rico
01:48the way they should.
01:49I want to know everything about what you want, what you don't want.
01:53Okay, so we're a little different in what we're thinking.

01:56I want something a little tinier, maybe an apartment.
01:59I would love a balcony more than anything, just to get a nice little view.

02:04I'm looking for a little slice of land, a little bit of property of our own.

02:10And how about how many bedrooms?
02:12I would love a three-bedroom, two-bath.
02:14I have a dream of the primary suite with the ensuite bathroom, a guest room, a separate office.
02:21If there's a pool, that's okay, too.

02:23So any specifics?
02:24Why bigger?
02:25I grew up a lot in apartments, and I've never had that kind of, like, stamp in the world.
02:29I want that little, like, chunk of Puerto Rico myself.

02:32I would be okay with a one-bedroom.
02:33Why don't the guests get a nice little short-term rental down the street?
02:36You know, we can hang out during the day.

02:38We can go walk old San Juan.
02:39And then at night, we can get away from each other again for a little bit.
02:41I think if we do go with a smaller space, it's gonna have to be a little bit more just

02:45We do have a lot going on, office, drag.
02:48We're the coolest people in our families, and we're moving to Puerto Rico.
02:51People are going to come down here, so I'd rather have the spot for them to begin with.
02:54Furnish would be great, and I also love the island vibe, tropical colors.
02:58I don't want it to look like I'm in a gray blur.

03:03So, let's talk a little bit about budget.
03:05For a single-family home, we're talking about minimum $350,000.
03:12That is towards the tippy top of the budget I would like to be.
03:15Starting.
03:16Honestly, if we have to push it a little bit above $350,000, I'm okay with that as well.
03:20Over the course of a 30-year mortgage, what's a little bit more money, right?
03:23So, we will make it possible.
03:24She looks amazing.
03:25She finds deals.
03:26We found the one.
03:35Moving somewhere new is obviously scary for anybody, but everything we've done is kind of been against what people have
03:40told us to do.
03:41When we decided that we probably want to start putting some roots down here, we started putting the money down
03:46for a down payment,
03:47and then we were able to pretty much pay off our entire place in New Jersey.
03:50So, we have that always to go back, run business, do things there, but we want to spend most of
03:54our time here.
03:55We are going to see a couple of properties here. We're right now in Santurce that is up and coming.

04:01Santurce is more like an urban type of artistic lifestyle.

04:25The first one that we are going to be seeing here to the left seat is a three bedroom, two

07:57I got down on one knee dressed as Prince Charming and he was dressed as Belle and I asked him
08:03to marry me.
08:03And I've worn that onion ring every day since.

08:07I think the property was beautiful, but the price point was a little high.
08:11I really do love that it's a single family home, but I do wish there was a little bit more

11:24In San Juan, it is a more competitive drag scene, so you do have to really stand out
11:28and have that star power.
11:29But we are a little bit innovative, if you will, and we have some ideas to kind of spice
11:33it up and bring some new stuff to the table.
11:35San Juan's already hot, but hasta la vista's hotter.

11:40Um, I'm looking at this bedroom color, and I don't know if I love or hate the color yet.
11:44I don't know if I feel like I'm walking into a hospital room or if it's giving me the
11:47full island vibe.

13:04I will tell you, I actually did like the fact that it had two bedrooms.

17:15I mean, when I walked in, I was almost ready to write you a check, say, budgets, off limits,
17:19I don't care anymore.
17:20The one thing that we really didn't like about the apartment is the fact that the only bathroom
17:24here is in the bedroom, actually.
17:26Normally one bedroom in this location.
17:28I have never seen one with a half bathroom outside.

17:33What did you thought about the view?
17:34I really loved the view.
17:35When I walked in, I thought that was a million dollar view.
17:38The only thing that kind of bums me out is I have nowhere to actually go and enjoy the
17:43weather outside.
17:44The other thing that I'm really struggling with, there's no real space for us to have
17:47guests stay over.
17:48I was almost positive it was going to be like, once I walked in, this is it, I need it.
17:51But after thinking of a couple of things, I really want to make sure we're 100% set.

18:04So I just got off the phone with Alexandra.

18:06And I do not have the best news.
18:08The one bedroom apartment is already off the table.

18:13She wasn't kidding.
18:13She said to move quick and she meant fast.
18:16If we had to lose one of the properties, I'm kind of glad it was that one.
18:19It didn't have enough of the things that we were looking for for our lifestyle.
18:22When you are right, you are right.
18:25But how about the one you were really hoping for?
18:26A single family home.
18:27What did you think of that?
18:28Although it wasn't three bedrooms like I was originally looking for.
18:31It had the two full bedrooms and then the side little office nook that I would be able
18:35to use to work from.
18:36It felt very nice and very authentic.
18:38I liked that a lot.
18:39The colorful condo.
18:40That was kind of the vibe I was hoping for.
18:42I wanted to walk in and feel like I was in old San Juan.
18:44See colors, see pastels, have a view, which that place had as well.
18:47I've done the apartment living thing my whole life.
18:50And I have a vision for our life in mind.
18:53And that's going to impact our decision.
18:58So after some careful consideration and a consultation with Hasta La Vista,
19:01we went with the colorful condo.
19:05It was the perfect choice for all three of us because it fits into our budget.
19:07It allows us to have family if needed.
19:09And it still allows Hasta La Vista to get more costumes.
19:12A little mini dress for Hasta La Vista.
19:14I can honestly cut it up, turn it into something else.

19:18I think we should grab our snorkeling gear and head on in.

19:25This move has honestly been incredible for us.
19:27Now we get to go out on an adventure together, snorkel, and just really soak up life.
19:31We loved the kitchen as it was, but honestly it was so much fun to just think pink and enhance
19:35it even further.
19:36We have all pink accessories now from our air fryer to our knives to our toaster.
19:40I'm even at the point now where I'm only allowing us to buy pink soap.
19:44I know I talked a lot of crap about that balcony, but we did find the perfect little table to
19:48sit out there,
19:49enjoy our cafecito in the morning, and just soak up the sun.
19:52It's almost like the compromise worked out.
19:55Just seeing a little skinny fish over there.
