Metro 2039 resmen duyuruldu!

00:00Ukrainian game studio 4A Games has officially announced the next game in the series.
00:04Metro 2039, and yes, we need to talk about this.
00:08For me, the Metro series is undeniably one of the most impressive works in the post-apocalyptic fiction world, boasting a unique universe.
00:15Inspired by the novels of author Dmitry Glukowski,
00:18This world places a brutal, post-nuclear war Russia amidst Lovecraftian supernatural elements and psychological horror.
00:25Throughout 4A Games' three main games, namely Metro 2033, Metro Last Night,
00:30And with the incredible level of detail it brought to the screen throughout Metro Exodus, it truly occupied a unique place in the gaming world.
00:36Especially in recent years, Metro Exodus felt like a culmination point where all the series' strengths came together.
00:42Every gameplay element has been refined, and the level design has expanded into open sandboxes.
00:47And a unique atmosphere, rarely found elsewhere, has been created.
00:49Since the release of Exodus, 4A Games has been working on their next main series game, Metro 2039.
00:55And recently, on April 16, 2026, the game was officially introduced to the world at the Xbox First Look event.
01:02First, let me say that it's important to understand what sets Metro apart from other post-apocalyptic games.
01:07For example, when we consider the Stalker series, it adopts a more libertarian approach, emphasizing an open world and comprehensive content.
01:14Metro, on the other hand, adopts a more focused, more linear, more personal, story-oriented approach, prioritizing density over volume.
01:22He is walking.
01:23This approach allows developers to squeeze handcrafted details into every square meter.
01:28And thanks to this approach, Metro manages to create that unique atmosphere that has become its signature.
01:33Based on the gameplay footage and details announced by Korea Games for 2039,
01:38It appears that this atmosphere has been fully preserved and even enhanced.
01:42Looking at the script and the world setting, we are in the year 2039.
01:46A full quarter of a century has passed since the nuclear war.
01:49Survivors in Moscow's underground tunnels fought each other for decades.
01:54They lived their lives fragmented among themselves.
01:57But now all these groups are united under a single leader.
02:01Legendary Spartan Hunter
02:02This regime, led by Hunter, is called Noorike, and it is not a peaceful unification.
02:07Noorike keeps the population under control through propaganda and fear.
02:11On the surface, they are preparing for battle against a mysterious, dark enemy.
02:14The people trapped under the subway are talking about survival, not freedom.
02:18But survival comes at a price.
02:20Dmitry Glukowski, the author of the original subway novels, is collaborating with 4A Games in the creation of this new story.
02:27Glukowski is an important detail here.
02:29The man was sentenced to eight years in prison for criticizing the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
02:34And he is currently living in exile.
02:35Keep this context in mind.
02:37Because the game's story is deeply rooted in this reality.
02:41So far, we've played Artyom, a quiet character in the subway games.
02:44Metro 2039 breaks with this tradition.
02:46The main character of the new game is The Stranger.
02:49For the first time in the series' history, a main character is fully voiced.
02:53This is a concrete example of how 4A Games is trying to raise the bar.
02:57What we know about The Stranger is quite limited at the moment.
03:00This is the only one given by 4A Games.
03:02The stranger is a figure isolated from the world, struggling with violent, waking nightmares.
03:06The ghosts of his past dragged him out of exile to the place he had sworn never to return to for years.
03:11It drags you deep into the subway.
03:13Metro, that is, Novorossia, ruled with an iron fist.
03:16A place where propaganda permeates every tunnel, where survival is not a blessing but a battlefield.
03:21With the character fully voiced,
03:24It appears that 4A Games is pursuing a much more personal and emotional narrative.
03:28Of course, past games also had strong narratives.
03:30But this time, I think they can delve much deeper into the protagonist's inner world.
03:354A Games has laid out the themes of Metro 2039 in an extremely clear way.
03:40The consequences of war, the price of silence, the horror of piranha, and the price of freedom.
03:45The game explores the nature of humanity before and after the 2013 nuclear catastrophe.
03:50How far people will go to survive,
03:53He committed himself to giving whatever he was willing to sacrifice.
03:55What's particularly interesting is that the studio never romanticized the series' post-epochistic universe.
04:01And he explicitly emphasizes that 2039 will remain true to this.
04:04This realistic, painful, tragic perspective is one of the things that sets Metro apart from many other post-epochistic fictions.
04:10Works like Palavut's, however dystopian they may be, contain a dark humor.
04:15The metro isn't entering the road.
04:16Metro faces humanity's worst decisions head-on, without blinking.
04:19Co-creative director Pavel Ulmer's statement summarizes this stance.
04:23We are not romanticizing the apocalypse.
04:25Moreover, this statement does not stem from an abstract artistic concern.
04:28It stems from a real tragedy the studio experienced.
04:30Let's pause here for a moment.
04:31Metro 2039 is not just a game, it's also an audiobook.
04:35Foray Games was founded in Ukraine, and the vast majority of its team is still Ukrainian.
04:38Throughout the development process, team members had to take shelter from drone attacks.
04:44It had to operate using batteries and generators.
04:46Currently, the studio operates from two main centers in Kyiv and Malta.
04:50It had transformed into a global organization by adding employees from more than 25 different nationalities.
04:55This experience directly shaped the game for the studio.
04:58The team added, "Everything we had planned for the next subway section changed in 2020 and, more significantly, in 2022."
05:06The message was always about preventing war.
05:08But now war has become our reality, and our message has shifted to the consequences of war.
05:12Considering this context, why is Metro 2039 so dark, so personal, and so urgent?
05:18You understand more clearly the feeling it evokes.
05:20This goes beyond just a video game.
05:22So what do we know and predict on the gameplay side?
05:25One of Corea Games' most important goals for 2039 is this:
05:29The meticulous handcrafting of each setting ensures that the environmental details convey a clear and authentic story to a discerning observer.
05:35Let him explain.
05:36Developers call these frozen stories.
05:39Every area you encounter while playing offers a snapshot of what happened in the past.
05:44A corpse leaning against a wall, a fallen photograph on the floor, paint marks.
05:48All these details silently reveal who lived in that place and what happened there.
05:52Nothing is placed randomly.
05:54Every object has a purpose.
05:55Based on the gameplay footage showcased at the Xbox First Look event, it's clear that all of the signature elements of the series are present in 2039.
06:04The oxygen meter on Filek's watch is turning back.
06:06Handmade weapons are making a comeback.
06:08The giant mole-like mutant creatures called Nozalis are returning.
06:12In the footage, The Stranger encounters these creatures, and instead of confronting them, they choose to escape by going down an escalator.
06:18But just as he prepared his weapon, it jammed.
06:21This small detail actually says a lot.
06:23Weapon maintenance and ammunition management systems have always been important in this series.
06:27And it will continue to be a determining factor in 2039 as well.
06:29It has been confirmed that the gameplay will combine elements of combat, exploration, survival, and stealth.
06:34There are indications that surface areas may also be involved.
06:37It wouldn't be surprising if the experience gained from Metro Exotus's open-air sandboxes were somehow reflected in 2039.
06:43But this is possible with much more powerful graphics technology.
06:45There are also clues regarding story choices.
06:47Past subway games presented players with decisions that influenced the outcome.
06:51And you could usually reach two different endings.
06:53Foray Games says 2039 focuses in an age-old way on choices, actions, consequences, and the cost of securing a future.
07:01This statement might point to more than two possible outcomes.
07:03Perhaps it points to crucial decisions that could truly alter the course of the narrative.
07:08It's not certain, but it's an exciting possibility.
07:11Metro 2039 is again being developed using Foray Games' own proprietary engine, Foray Engine.
07:16This engine is built upon more than 15 years of technological expertise.
07:20And with each new game, it expands and deepens.
07:23One of the producers, John Bloch, says the following about this.
07:26If we need to add a new feature or do something in a specific way, we can do it with our own engine.
07:32Our only limit is our imagination.
07:34Metro Exodus was truly a pioneering game in terms of ray tracing.
07:37By 2039, the goal is to take this technology even further, delivering an experience that is both more powerful and visually stunning.
07:44Exodus looked incredible even for last-generation consoles in 2019.
07:48It's truly exciting to imagine the visual spectacle that the Metro atmosphere will create with 2026 graphics technology.
07:55What we've seen so far are real-time engine visuals.
07:57Cinematics and gameplay scenes are intertwined.
08:00I'm also glad it doesn't use Unreal Engine.
08:03In recent years, so many games have used the same engine that some have become indistinguishable from each other.
08:09Metro has its own unique aesthetic.
08:11It needs its own engine to maintain this aesthetic, and it does.
08:14Metro 2039 will be released in winter 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
08:21On PC, it will be released on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox 10 PC.
08:25The release date for S has not yet been announced.
08:27While it's exciting, many questions remain.
08:30How wide will the outdoor levels be?
08:32What innovations have been introduced to level design?
08:34What new creatures will we encounter?
08:36Will there be new weapons and equipment?
08:38What changes and improvements have been made to the core gameplay mechanics?
08:42How deep is the electoral system really?
08:45And will the darkness, one of the series' controversial but beloved elements, return?
08:49The images that have been released seem to point to this.
08:52All of these questions are still awaiting answers.
08:54But let me tell you something.
08:55The relationship Coray Games has established with the Metro series shows that asking these questions is meaningful.
09:00This studio takes its games seriously.
09:02He considers every detail and does everything he can to ensure players experience this world.
09:06Metro 2039 feels both familiar and fresh to fans of the series.
09:11There are tunnels, there are mutants, there are wristwatches.
09:14It has that stifling yet captivating atmosphere.
09:16It's fresh because there's a new protagonist.
09:18There's a much darker tone.
09:20There's a context in which the series has never been so authentic, so grounded in the real world.
09:24Coray Games worked in the middle of a real war while developing this game.
09:28The teams wrote code while evading drones.
09:31Looking at Metro 2039 with this information in mind, it's clear why the game chose such heavy themes.
09:36And you understand better why he wanted to portray such a realistic and brutal world.
09:40That's why I'm saying this.
09:41Metro 2039 is more than just a video game announcement.
09:44It's an expression of something, and hopefully, when we hold it in our hands during the winter months, we'll feel the full weight of that expression.
09:50Those who want to find out more details about the game can visit Metro2039.com.
09:55What do you think about this announcement?
09:57What was your experience with the Metro series?
09:59Let's discuss in the comments.
