00:00Today on Media Missed Minute, reports indicate the Trump administration has been trying to recruit Democratic Senator John Fetterman to
00:07the Republican Party.
00:08Plus, a Canadian man is suing the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, claiming the government tried to obtain his
00:15Google data after he criticized the Trump administration online.
00:21I'm Craig DeGrelli. Here on Media Missed Minute, we're looking at two stories getting little attention from partisan media outlets.
00:29Starting with what the left is missing.
00:31President Trump has reportedly offered to back John Fetterman with his endorsement and financial support if the Pennsylvania senator switches
00:39parties.
00:40Trump first floated the idea publicly in March during an interview with Sean Hannity.
00:46Fetterman, who has broken with Democrats on issues including immigration enforcement and Israel, rejected the offer.
00:53In an interview with Politico this week, he said, quote, I'm a Democrat and I'm staying one.
00:59Now to what the right is missing.
01:01A Canadian man is suing Homeland Security after the agency allegedly tried to obtain his private data from Google.
01:08The lawsuit claims DHS sought access to the man's activity logs, location history and account information after he posted critical
01:16comments about the Trump administration following deadly officer-involved immigration shootings that killed two Americans in Minneapolis.
01:24DHS argues it had the authority to seek the information under the Tariff Act of 1930.
