00:02Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. ambassador to Greece, could soon be out of a job.
00:07The Associated Press reports President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are, quote,
00:12extremely pissed off over allegations about her conduct.
00:15And according to a senior U.S. official, they could decide whether to fire her as soon as tomorrow.
00:20The allegations include claims that Guilfoyle asked a Trump donor to pay off a $100,000 credit
00:27card bill in exchange for access to top administration officials.
00:31She's also been accused of threatening a Greek official and accepting improper gifts and services.
00:36Guilfoyle denies any wrongdoing.
00:39Her lawyers say the money she sought was actually payment owed for public appearances.
00:43Quote, we are evaluating all available legal remedies to collect this debt and any other
00:48potential causes of action.
00:50Meanwhile, Senate Republican Whip John Barrasso says the reports are troubling and he expects
00:56an investigation.
00:57Here he is on CBS Face the Nation.
00:59Well, what we've seen in the reports is very troubling.
01:01It's concerning and I'm sure there's going to be an investigation.
01:04I would assume the State Department would be conducting that.
01:07I know that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will have oversight and look into that as well.
01:12But I think the public has a right to know what was what is found and it is quite a
01:17bit of concern.
01:17The AP reports the State Department's Inspector General is already looking into the allegations,
01:22though it's unclear whether a formal investigation has begun.
01:26While it is going on.
01:27.
01:29.
01:29Probably not even better...
