01:19was really happy to see chich hadn't seen him for a long time so i sent him an email saying

01:24even though we're not working together you know it was nice seeing you and blah blah blah and so he
01:30intercepted the email and wrote his own he says oh i'm really looking forward to getting back to the
01:36act and blah blah blah and next thing you know she's uh paris says that you got a rehearsal with
01:43chich coming up no what he said yeah and then he told me what he did and uh and then
01:49we've been
01:50together ever since yeah wow so chich did you know that this email wasn't even originally written
01:56by tommy i'm just finding out about it right now stop wow do you remember around what year that was
02:04i ate today no it was a uh oh well we went on tour oh seven oh seven oh seven

04:56working smoking enjoying your lives yeah where do you get the energy well you know i always tell my kids
05:06my kids are chicanos so you have to have three jobs at all times and so they get their energy

05:20because uh when i started smoking pot i quit smoking cigarettes i used uh i used pot to help me

05:38same way that darren mccarty he's uh he had a a tobacco problem but he was a pot smoker so

05:45what i did and so he did it and he's off tobacco and he's healthy and and i used to
05:53hang uh cheech and
05:53i both used to hang out with kareem abdul jabbar and and jabbar you know he played nine years past

06:01prime because he was a pot smoker you know he is the pot smoker and i don't know now but

06:08in the day when he was uh at his height he was uh one of the well he was one

06:28marijuana intake what does that look like oh it depends on the day what i have to have nothing to

06:34it's all day you know because really sometimes you know if i have nothing to do and i just sit

06:40and it's a nice day and i got a guitar and and and and a bong i'm cool you know
06:46i come and people come
06:48and people go i make dinner i you know go outside walk around come in and have another one i

06:54hit you know until uh i'm ready to actually relax and i can watch tv or a dodger game or

07:02that well i'm a little more serious because i i invented the bomb you know my people do

08:00of filter and so the water works as a incredible filter yeah and so uh yeah i have that's what

08:09all day oh my gosh and then i practice rolling because now because i'm older i don't roll the
08:16joints like i used to and and so i figured out a way of grinding use a coffee uh grinder
08:24and i grind all the
08:26buds so i get marijuana dust and then i sit there in my in my uh office here and and
08:36and i make these
08:37little little papers uh things scoops and i scoop the the weed up and then i end up with with
08:46the uh
08:47uh he's gone again he's not coming back i can't with the oh he escaped okay hey join you rolled

09:09had these long
09:10papers and and and and it's too much and it's too awkward and so i realized you know and this

09:18a a nice a couple of days you know this will last me a couple of days you know i'll

09:25about this much and then later on a little little bit more but what i'm doing like especially for my

09:33uh that i i find out that it uh gives me an appetite see when you get older you lose

09:41appetite and the reason you lose your appetite is because you don't burn the energy that you used to
09:47burn yeah and so so if you just eat out of habit you end up working out you know and
09:54and so uh so what i
09:56did did did or what i do you know i smoke and and i monitor uh my food intake and
10:04that but it gives me
10:05an appetite okay you know healthy foods too that's great it helps it it and it's keeping me and i
10:13work
10:13out two or three times uh you know with weights two or three times a week and uh good for
10:20you oh yeah
10:21equinox and and and because i'm a so i'm a celebrity i'm a celebrity there so i uh i get

10:30pretty uh uh instructors you know the girls they they come by we we have little uh uh moments together

12:05and i i got a message out through uh mutual friends that when whenever we get together we're going to
12:13do a historical pot smoking thing because you know of all the beatles paul was the the the main pothead
12:23and and uh you know in the beatles did you know that yoko got uh
12:28uh uh paul arrested in in japan did you know that cheech no yeah how did you do that she's
12:38got
12:38friends in in uh in the government in japan and so she she alerted the immigration that paul that paul
12:46was coming to uh japan that he always carries pot and so they they nailed him at the border and
12:52put him in
12:53jail wait how do you know this yeah how do you know this how do i know this yeah uh

13:09intimate knowledge cheech i have to tell you i have a son who i also lovingly call cheech
