00:00A suicide note allegedly penned by Jeffrey Epstein was released to the media by a New York
00:04court on Wednesday evening. The writing is scrawled on what looks like lined legal paper,
00:09and you can hardly make out the word. So bear in mind, this is barely legible. So it looks like
00:16it
00:16reads, quote, they investigated me for months, found nothing. So 16-year-old charges results.
00:23It is a treat to be able to choose one's time to say goodbye. What you want me to do,
00:29burst out crying, no fun, not worth it. The note was purportedly written after Epstein tried to hang
00:35himself in his Manhattan jail cell in July 2019, just days after his arrest for sex trafficking.
00:40He was unsuccessful in that attempt and blamed his cellmate, disgraced cop and convicted quadruple
00:46murderer, Nicholas Tartaglione. Tartaglione found the note and then gave it to his lawyers as apparent
00:52proof that he didn't try to kill the disgraced financier. The New York Times pushed for the
00:56notes release and verified it as being written by Epstein.
