00:00It's out of here.
00:01A lot of stars for you on Sunday Night Football.
00:08Western Conference Semifinals, Game 1 getting set to tip and LeBron James getting set for his 299th career playoff game.
00:1541 years young, still the standard, finding edges where others simply can't.
00:20And for the first time, LeBron and Shea Gilgis-Alexander meet on the playoff stage.
00:24Shea, the reigning MVP, finals MVP, and champion, looking smooth, controlled, and completely unbothered,
00:30which has the entire city of OKC believing they may be the next back-to-back chance.
00:40Welcome to NBA Showtime, presented by AT&T.
00:45Here's your host, Maria Taylor.
00:48Chet Holmgren, a major piece of this OKC young core.
00:52He's coming off a 24-point, 12-rebound game in Game 4 against the Phoenix Suns.
00:57OKC swept the first round.
00:58Now they get to take on the Lakers in the second, hosting from Paycom Center.
01:02As we get you set for Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
01:05Welcome inside the studio, Maria Taylor, the Hall of Famers, Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, and Carmelo Anthony here with you.
01:12And I said it a little bit in the open, but for the first time ever, we get to see
01:15LeBron James and Shea Gilgis-Alexander
01:17facing off against each other in a playoff series.
01:20They both have said great things about one another.
01:22LeBron's saying about Shea, though, his favorite thing is his efficiency.
01:26That's something that he feels like is MJ-esque.
01:29I wonder what you guys are expecting from Shea here in the second round, Melo.
01:32I think Shea is going to kind of pick his spots in trying to dominate this series early.
01:38But I also believe that Shea understands who he's going up against from a basketball IQ standpoint.
01:44He's really going to have to come and understand how to win these games and continue to win in the
01:50games the way he's been winning the games himself in the clutch.
01:54But he's going up against somebody who's a very smart player.
01:57LeBron James is one of the smartest players that ever played this game.
02:00J.J. Redick haven't won a playoff series yet.
02:03So, you know, prior to them sweeping them in the regular season, this is a different Lakers team, at least
02:10I can say that, than what they was doing given in the regular season.
02:12Marcus Smart wasn't playing in the regular season.
02:16J.J. haven't won a playoff series yet.
02:19LeBron was out.
02:20Austin Reeves was out.
02:21Luka was out.
02:22This is a different team, so I'm looking to see which team show up today for the Lakers.
02:28When I see him walking in there, typically I see Paris fashion show inspired Shea walking into the building.
02:37Yeah.
02:38That was Hamilton SGA that walked in there.
02:41That's Hamilton boy walking in there.
02:42So, for me, Shea about to get to it.
02:45Because his matchup is not an easy matchup.
02:47Let's be correct.
02:48Like, Marcus Smart, when we talk about, you know, muddy up the game, that's exactly what he's going to do.
02:54So, for me, it's, Shea, keep your composure, which I'm sure he is.
02:58But it's, you know, don't feed into all the antics that Marcus Smart is going to be doing, displaying out
03:06there on the basketball court.
03:08Just go ahead and play your game.
03:10You're much more talented than the Los Angeles Lakers.
03:13Get these guys in, get them out, and get some rest and get on ready for the next time.
03:18We were fortunate enough to be in the building opening night watching them receive their rings and watch the banner
03:25go up.
03:25And I think we all agree watching that Oklahoma City Thunder and hearing them afterwards talk about they're not satisfied
03:32after just winning a championship, receiving their ring.
03:35They had their moment, and they locked back in, took care of business.
03:38And that was the sentiments all season long.
03:43And opening the first game, well, the first round of the playoffs, won the same.
03:48They took care of business.
03:49They were businesslike.
03:50And just like you said, he walked in with Hamilton's own instead of Fashion Week.
03:55And I think.
03:56That's his hometown, by the way, later.
03:57Yeah, Hamilton's own, Hamilton, Ontario.
03:59But I think this is how they see it.
04:02They said this is the next challenge.
04:03This is a LeBron James who's well-decorated, accomplished a lot.
04:06You said 299 playoff games.
04:08All of these things.
04:09Marcus Smart.
04:10All of these things that need to be done.
04:11But we're still us.
04:12Yeah.
04:13And they have to beat us.
04:14And I feel like that's the mentality.
04:15And that's what it gives off to me is the team that is focused and understand this is a team
04:20that they need to take care of business and don't give them any life.
04:23Yeah, obviously, OKC, they show up in waves.
04:25And by the way, these two teams met four times during the regular season.
04:29OKC won by an average of 29 points.
04:32We saw Luka go down April 2nd in one of these meetings.
04:35So it was not easy sledding for the Lakers against OKC.
04:39Maybe they learned something that could change in the playoff.
04:41Obviously, the postseason is just a little bit different.
04:43One thing we do know, Austin Reed's back.
04:45He played in two games, the final games against the Houston Rockets, averaged 18 points per game.
04:50Maybe he's getting a little bit closer to being fully healthy, too, and added back into this Lakers offense.
04:54Well, I mean, of course, basketball shape is a lot different than any type of shape.
04:58When you don't have your legs and you're still trying to do the things that you was capable of doing
05:04prior to the injury, it takes time.
05:06And I thought that when Austin Reeves came back, it was taking his time.
05:09His legs had to get back.
05:10His conditioning had to get back.
05:12His playoff conditioning is different than regular season conditioning.
05:15The speed.
05:16The speed, the pace, right?
05:17And the way you think the game is a lot different.
05:19So I just think this series, his legs would be underneath for him.
05:24He would get into better shape and better conditioning and really allow himself to be effective.
05:29But like I said, he has to hunt points.
05:32He has to hunt shots.
05:33He's got to be efficient and be extra aggressive.
05:36But for me, we talk about this.
05:39The pace has to be different, right?
05:41You have to, LeBron, Marcus Smart, slow everything down.
05:46I'm talking about even on made basket, missed basket, walk the ball up the court.
05:52Slow it all the way down.
05:54No, I'm telling you because if you're playing at a fast pace against this team and you're turning the ball
05:59over,
05:59they're getting out of the run and they're highly efficient that way.
06:02So for the Lakers, I want to get the best shot.
06:05I want to walk up.
06:06I want to run through our offense all sets.
06:08Now, if we have transition to get out and get easy basket, yes, we're going to do that.
06:12But when they score that ball, we're walking it up and we're running our offense.
06:17We're going slow possession.
06:18I don't care if it's an 80 possession.
06:20It's a game.
06:21That's what we need.
06:22Because I think that's the gift and the curse to that because if you're offensive,
06:27you don't want to play against OKC's set defense either.
06:30So you have to be timely and you have to protect the ball.
06:33But I get it.
06:34You don't want to play fast.
06:34But I don't want to play against a set OK defense where they can now stick to their schemes
06:39and game plans either.
06:40Well, they got to do something different than what they did during the regular season.
06:42So maybe that's an attempt to change things up.
06:45All right, guys.
06:46On this day, 27 years ago, VC, step up to the front.
06:50Uh-oh.
06:50What's up?
06:51A 360, one-handed.
06:54Who threw it to me?
06:55Here we go.
06:56Here we go.
06:57Hey, I tell you, I'm telling you, boom, boom.
07:02What was crazy about that is I was wanting to do that dunk for a long time in game.
07:07You know, the reverse 360.
07:09You know, I could obviously do it.
07:11I'm like, when I turned around, I didn't realize how high I was.
07:15Vince, do people tell you quite often that you were just that guy?
07:17Like, do we do that enough?
07:20Stop trying to be humble.
07:21You know what I'm saying?
07:22Stop trying to be modest.
07:23I can't do that.
07:24Hey, let me tell y'all something.
07:25Don't scoot back.
07:26Scoot back up.
07:27Hey, let me tell y'all how amazing this man was.
07:31Right.
07:31So, you know, they sang two national anthems.
07:34I already know he goes this.
07:35And I'm not joking.
07:37So, she sung the U.S. national anthem.
07:40When she went to the Canadian national anthem, she actually put this man's name in the national
07:44anthem when she was singing.
07:44I was like, oh, my God.
07:46He had Toronto on fire.
07:48He had him on fire.
07:50All right.
07:50So, your 50th birthday, we're going to Toronto then.
07:52That's what we're doing.
07:53That's what we're doing.
07:53That's what we're going, twin.
07:54Okay.
07:55Take us through there.
07:56Jurassic Park.
07:58Okay.
07:59Make sure you stick with us here on NBA Showtime.
08:01We're going to keep on having fun.
08:02Plenty more still to come.
08:04Up next, we've got an exclusive look at SGA's rise to superstardom in Oklahoma City.
08:08And it did start in Hamilton, Ontario.
08:11Yes, it did.
08:13SGA, look at him.
08:14He's a man of the people.
08:15Got OKC Believing Championship.
08:18Aspirations are always there.
08:20He leads all scores in the postseason and coming off of his highest scoring average in a single
08:23playoff series in the first round against the Phoenix Suns.
08:26And by the way, Shea Gilgis-Alexander is only 27 years old.
08:30And he's already accomplished more than most players could ever dream of.
08:34But he's certainly just getting started.
08:36And after leading Oklahoma City to its first NBA title last season, he has the Thunder eyeing
08:40another championship this year.
08:42Here's an exclusive look at Shea's rise to becoming one of the most unstoppable forces
08:47in the NBA.
09:07Shea Gilgis-Alexander is the reigning MVP chasing back-to-back NBA titles.
09:12His stardom born of unlikely origin, Hamilton, Ontario.
09:17Growing up playing basketball in Canada was never the first thing a kid did.
09:22Kids played soccer and kids played hockey.
09:25And then once I was 9, 10, I naturally just was drawn to basketball in a crazy way.
09:32I tried out for my high school JV team in 9th grade and didn't end up making it.
09:37I remember texting my mom when I got cut, like, I'm going to make these coaches look crazy
09:42one day.
09:46I found myself getting better faster than my peers and making gross on the basketball court
09:51at a really fast pace.
09:53And I think that just, like, was something I fell in love with.
09:56Just figuring out different ways to get better.
09:59He followed a familiar path for prodigious talents.
10:03One year at the University of Kentucky and then to the NBA draft.
10:08The 11th pick, Shea Gilgis-Alexander.
10:12Thank you, Canada.
10:14Thank you, University of Kentucky.
10:16Appreciate it.
10:18What?
10:20Nigga, we made it.
10:22We just can't wait to get started.
10:25After a season with the Clippers, Gilgis-Alexander was traded to the Thunder as part of the deal
10:30for nine-time All-Star Paul George.
10:33His instinct to prove himself kicked in all over again.
10:38Every summer, I had the hardest summer of my life.
10:42I put my head down and work in the exhausting heat.
10:46Sometimes I feel like I'm about to pass out.
10:49Where I really push my body to limits I didn't know I could.
10:53I kind of just rode that formula throughout my whole career.
10:55Just to, like, keep getting better.
10:57And that's all I focus on.
10:58Let me go get something.
11:00Yo, if you don't go get something, I'm going to go get something.
11:03Last season was transcendent for Gilgis-Alexander, a championship for OKC, and a collection of
11:10individual honors.
11:12Fourth player ever to win MVP, finals MVP, and a scoring title in the same year.
11:18Hamilton was everything to me.
11:20And it means the world to not be someone that the city is proud of.
11:25All those things are goals, but they're not the reason why I play.
11:29The reason why I play is to, like, just maximize my potential.
11:36I want to see how good of a player I can become when it's all said and done.
11:40And that's what I'm focused on, and that's what drives me.
11:56This past summer, I felt like I had to work way harder than it last summer to get better
12:03than I was last year.
12:04And I think that mentality has just allowed me to just skyrocket.
12:09He's better this year in so many different areas than he was last year.
12:13SGA step back, three, and he's got it!
12:17SGA's greatest hits tour continues!
12:22The periods of my life, I've been driven in different ways.
12:26I've had a child, and he's motivated me in crazy ways.
12:30But the one constant is my love for the game.
12:32A guy has never wavered.
12:34Us on three, one, two, three.
12:35Us!
12:36Here we go!
12:41If you thought last year was a historic run to a championship, it was.
12:44How about this year?
12:45In some respects, they've gone beyond.
12:47We've got to pursue.
12:49We've got to load.
12:49We've got to talk.
12:50All of it together.
12:52Being a part of a group like this doesn't come around often in the NBA.
12:55The way this group, from top to bottom, is just connected has just been super special.
12:59And it's like our secret power.
13:00That's what makes us who we are.
13:02The reigning champion knocking off the eighth-seeded Suns.
13:05This group is battle-tested, so we knew what to do, and we did it well.
13:11I feel like young athletes everywhere should be watching that feature and seeing what is required of the work in
13:17order to turn out to be a player like SGA.
13:20But just him saying, I want to maximize my potential.
13:23Like, at the end of the day, that's what this is about.
13:25And we get to see the fruits of that labor.
13:27How does that speak to the player that we get to watch night in and night out?
13:31I think it's amazing that, you know, you have somebody like SGA that really understands the moment, understand his situation,
13:39understand his gifts, and what the opportunity that he has at the present moment.
13:44And that's being affiliated with an amazing organization, right, from top to bottom, backed by great teammates, and have a
13:52chance to put his stamp on this unbelievable game that we play for, right?
13:58And to etch his name in stone with the elites of the elites that has ever played this game.
14:04So I think he really understands what that task is, and he's so determined and focused on that.
14:10I think people around him, I got to take my head off to those guys, whoever it is, because to
14:16get a young guy, a young kid at that age to be thinking that way in the sense of, I
14:21have a plan, I have a goal, and I'm going to walk through this goal every step of the way.
14:27I'm going to check every box.
14:28I'm not going to skip any steps in this.
14:30And even if I have a bad day or two bad days or a bad week or bad month, that's
14:34still not the end of the story.
14:36So I think Shea allowed himself to just get into that mindset where I don't care what happened on a
14:41day-to-day basis, my goal is my goal.
14:44As long as I reach my goal, it doesn't matter how I get to that goal.
14:47His love for the game and how hard he works and how driven he is permeates through that team, and
14:53everybody buys in.
14:54And when your best player works that hard, when your best player believes and he comes to work, putting in
15:00extra work to be better than before, that shows who he is as a player and as a leader.
15:07And he gets his guys to buy in, which is why they're in this position they are right now.
15:11Yeah, we're talking about a guy, like you saw, MVP, finals MVP, and a champion.
15:16He said, I had to work harder this past offseason than I ever have.
15:20We see that.
15:20His efficiency has gone up.
15:22For the fourth straight season, he's averaging at least 30 points per game.
15:25He had a playoff career high.
15:27And not only that, he's still leading his team.
15:29The wins are racking up right next to him.
15:31So it's just been fun to watch, and we don't want to take it for granted at any step of
15:34the way.
15:35All right, let's take a look at our star power player, Parlay, from DraftKings Sportsbook.
15:39For tonight's game, you need two threes from Rui Hachimura, nine rebounds from Isaiah Hartenstein,
15:45and of course we have to get SJ in there, okay?
15:47How about eight assists?
15:50Eight?
15:50No?
15:51He might.
15:52He might game one.
15:53He might come out.
15:54From the double teams, you think?
15:55Yeah, from the double teams, eight assists.
15:57Isaiah, I think he didn't get four or five off of the rebound.
16:00Okay, against the Lakers this season, he's averaging exactly eight assists.
16:04Okay?
16:04They know what they're doing.
16:05And Rui, Rui's shooting 55, man, so.
16:07Keep cooking, Rui.
16:09There you go.
16:10Isaiah Hartenstein, 18 points in the last game against the Phoenix Suns.
16:14We'll see what he has for us tonight in game one, Western Conference semis against the Lakers.
16:23Happening right now, Cavaliers taking on the Pistons game one of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
16:29Cade Cunningham, he willed his team to this moment, the second round.
16:33Donovan Mitchell.
16:34Signature.
16:35Signature.
16:36He had nine of Cleveland's 21 first quarter points, and then Cade started going.
16:42That's his shot right there.
16:44You ain't speeding Cade up.
16:46He's very good at creating the space to get a shot off.
16:48He had 10 points in the first quarter, 14 points in the first half.
16:51Danis Jenkins.
16:52This is who I like to see playing the way he's playing.
16:55Big man is in that drop, and he ain't coming up.
16:57Pull up for that mid-range.
16:59It's lost.
17:00Pull up from deep two, four for six from three in the first quarter goes Detroit.
17:04Mitchell, he wasn't afraid of knocking him down either.
17:08Spider-webs.
17:09Come on.
17:09Spider-no, this is game one.
17:11Tough thing, though, for Cleveland.
17:13Six straight game with at least 10 turnovers in the first half.
17:17Woo-hoo.
17:18Yes, it's tough.
17:19Ryan Harden, son.
17:20Your two stars, Mitchell and Harden, both have three turnovers.
17:24Six total of the 11 or 12.
17:26Open that bench up today.
17:28Yeah, he did.
17:28The Pistons are up 13 at the half.
17:32All right.
17:32You're just taking a look at the brackets.
17:35Cleveland right now down against Detroit.
17:37You're going to take a look at the Lakers taking on OKC in game one of the Western Conference semifinals.
17:42Austin Reeves, he played the final two games of the first round coming back from injury,
17:46and he caught up with Zora Stevenson a little while ago.
17:51So, Austin, leading into this series, your teammates said, respect all, fear none.
17:54What excites you about this challenge?
17:56That it's a challenge.
17:57You know, they're the defending champs for a reason.
17:59They're, you know, one of the best basketball teams we've seen in a long time.
18:02So, just having an opportunity to come in here into a good environment and compete.
18:07One of the biggest things against OKC is taking care of the basketball.
18:11How can you relieve pressure against you and your teammates?
18:14Yeah, well, I mean, we've schemed up some things to, you know, try to help that.
18:18You know, you're obviously, you're going to face pressure for, you know, 48 minutes.
18:21That's what they do.
18:22And, like you said, you've got to protect the ball.
18:24You've got to try to win the possession battle.
18:26That's big for them.
18:28And then just a quick check-in.
18:29This is just your third game back after the oblique strain.
18:31Where's the body at?
18:32I feel good.
18:32I'm ready to go out there and compete.
18:34Expecting nothing less.
18:35Thank you.
18:35For sure.
18:35Appreciate you.
18:36All right.
18:37So, Austin Reeves is feeling good.
18:38I know Mike Tirico and Reggie Miller are feeling great.
18:41And they have the call here tonight.
18:42Let's talk about the storylines, guys.
18:44Yeah, it can't help but feel great to be back in this building where the champs are with an emphatic
18:49yes starting their repeat run.
18:52Reg, I want to talk about LeBron.
18:54299th playoff game.
18:56He's played almost an entire season of second-round playoff games.
18:59This is 81st.
19:01This is 81st.
19:01And what he did in the last series, 23-7, eight assists per game, was exactly what the Lakers needed.
19:07Take over when needed.
19:09Facilitate when needed.
19:10And it got him here to round two.
19:11I love what J.J. Redick told us before the game.
19:14LeBron had to shift his focus when those two guys went down.
19:17Luka Doncic and A.R., right?
19:19He didn't panic, and he understood the gravity of the moment.
19:24I marveled because our Hall of Famers in the studio, they played a lot of years, and they played a
19:29lot of games against LeBron.
19:31I was fortunate to only play against him one year, my last year, his rookie year.
19:35And for him to be doing this at age 41, year 23, and continuing to set the bar, it's amazing.
19:44And the way that his teammates follow him, this is the reason why they're in this situation, is because of
19:51his leadership.
19:51I think that's the point that's worth noting.
19:53The way this team fell apart because of those injuries that happened in this game against Oklahoma City back at
19:59the start of April,
20:00but then built it back together behind his leadership, it's the reason that they're in this second round.
20:05And they're going to have a tall order now.
20:06Yes, indeed.
20:07You're going against the champs, and there's things that are going to have to be perfect for them to be
20:11successful in this series.
20:13But if you want a guy to go into battle with that's seen everything, LeBron James is your guy.
20:19And, Maria, as you said on the pregame on Peacock before the Pistons and the Cavaliers, what a treat.
20:24We've never seen Shea against Bron in a playoff series, and we get to see it start in a couple
20:29of minutes.
20:29All right, Mike.
20:30Thank you so much for tuning in to the show, even though you've got other work to do.
20:33See, we appreciate you.
20:34That's right.
20:35Always listening.
20:36Audience of one.
20:37Mike Tirico, Reggie Miller are going to be on the call tonight in OKC.
20:40We're not far from tip-off in Oklahoma City.
20:42There's still time to get into the action with the Peacock scorecard available during every game on Peacock.
20:47Just pick your card and follow along on the Peacock app.
20:52All right, Shea Gildas-Alexander, we have been talking about him this entire show.
20:57It's been so much fun to watch.
20:59To start this game, in order for the Thunder to start fast, he has to do what, BC?
21:03Shea?
21:04Mm-hmm.
21:05Just be Shea.
21:05Be Shea.
21:06Literally, you see those numbers right there.
21:08Eight assists.
21:09So, you know, not only can he score and find his own shot, continue to get his other guys involved,
21:15which he does a great job, facilitating early, making sure other guys are in rhythm, which makes the game easier
21:21for him in the second half.
21:22So, I expect nothing less.
21:24I mean, like I said, eight assists is that number that I'm looking at for him to get guys going
21:28to play fast.
21:29Does he get eight assists tonight, Kai?
21:30Yes.
21:30Does he get it?
21:31Absolutely.
21:31He gets it because of JJ plans of double-teaming and getting off the ball and they're creating steals and
21:39turnovers or creating missed shots to get out and run, and he's making the play.
21:43Mm-hmm.
21:44For me, it's just be Shea, right?
21:47And he's going up against Marcus Smart, someone that is a competitor, a fist competitor, that is going to do
21:55everything, bring out all the tricks in the bag to distract him and get him off.
22:01Off of his game, but we've been finding a way.
22:09Yeah, you've been looking for the edge.
22:10Y'all have been looking for the edge for two days, okay?
22:12You've been good.
22:13Post-game shows, pre-game shows, you've been doing it.
22:16You've been doing it, T-Mac.
22:17It's very tough when you don't have a full roster going up against these guys.
22:21You don't have Luka, so it puts them at a huge disadvantage.
22:25Have you ever been in a playoff series where you felt that way?
22:28Every series.
22:30My whole career in Orlando, I didn't have Grand Hill.
22:34So I understand this uphill battle, and it's not a good feeling.
22:39So if you were the Lakers locker room.
22:41Right, because you've been there.
22:43T-Mac is on the Lakers right now.
22:45What's your message to the locker room?
22:47Well, I would tell the guys that are playing most of the minutes, do your job, but elevate doing your
22:55job.
22:55Do it within great tension and great detail.
22:59Do your job, but better.
22:59Right, right.
23:00With great detail, though.
23:02Let's be a team that minimizes our mistakes.
23:06If we're in the gaps, let's fill those gaps.
23:09On our rotations, let's be early and often on our rotations.
23:12Like, let's have that mindset going in and give ourselves a chance, and let's play with effort.
23:18And let's see.
23:19Yeah.
23:19Let's see.
23:20I'm sure, J.J.
23:21You've got to minimize the mistakes, though.
23:23Can I also say this?
23:24Please.
23:24OKC is averaging 123 points in the playoffs.
23:30Lakers are averaging 101.
23:32Yeah.
23:33So we're going to start there.
23:34We'll start there.
23:35And then from there, Lakers are shooting 40%.
23:38They're going to have to make threes.
23:39You have to say, like you said, they have to take shots and make shots.
23:44And defend.
23:45They transition game got to be real.
23:48The Lakers transition game have to be real.
23:50You have to get it off the boards, and you have to go.
23:52You have to kick ahead.
23:53You got to shoot quick.
23:55You got to score quick.
23:56Because you have to find pockets in this game.
23:59There's your guy, Melo.
23:59But see, and here's the thing.
24:01You got to find pockets in the game that you could be better than OKC.
24:06You got to win the margins.
24:07You have to win the margin game.
24:09He said Jerry Vanderbilt part of the margin.
24:11These are the guys that have to step up.
24:12Jerry Vanderbilt will have to step up in this series because he would have to get Marcus
24:18smart defensively.
24:19Melo.
24:20Defensively.
24:20Here's the problem, though.
24:22Right?
24:23Because when you look at OKC, when they go to, like, they have a versatile roster
24:29that they could just mix and match on their lineups.
24:31They could go to a defensive lineup, but that defensive lineup can also score.
24:36So when you're thinking about putting a defensive lineup in for the Lakers, can they guard, but
24:42can they score with them?
24:44I don't want them to put a defensive lineup in.
24:47Yeah.
24:47Jared Vanderbilt has to step up defensively and take some of the owners off of Marcus
24:52smart.
24:53This is why he's here.
24:54Yeah.
24:55This is why Jared, I mean, Vanderbilt is with the Lakers.
24:58To be that defensive presence, a guy who can disrupt the game.
25:01I'm sorry, man.
25:02Ready?
25:02In your ear telling you to tell me to be quiet?
25:04No, I just wanted to make sure I got one.
25:06No, I'm just kidding.
25:06No, no, I want one.
25:07I'm going to get one note in.
25:08Y'all ready?
25:08Put the camera back on them.
25:10Okay, I just wanted to make sure I had your career playoff numbers here.
25:14I knew this was going to happen.
25:14Oh, let me see.
25:15Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
25:15T-Mac 50, VC 88, Mellow 83.
25:19Pause, pause.
25:20That adds up to 221 career playoff games.
25:23Dang, we didn't make it.
25:23You still have less career playoff games combined than LeBron James, and that's exactly what
25:27you're going to get to watch here tonight.
25:29Just minutes away from tip-off of Oklahoma City, Mike Tirico, Reggie Miller, Zorris,
25:34Stevenson will be on the call in the Western Conference semifinals, Lakers-Thunders.
25:38I love y'all, though.
25:39My team ain't nothing over here.
25:51In a first round where favorites were pushed, scared, and even sent home early, there was
25:58one that left, no doubt.
26:01Creativity from the MVP.
26:02The champions, Oklahoma City, played to the title they earned last year, taking an emphatic
26:09step one to a repeat run.
26:11Third straight year that Oklahoma City has swept the first round of the playoffs.
26:17Now, enter one of the NBA's gold standards.
26:21The Lakers' 17 titles leave a lore and a legacy that is the envy of the Western Conference.
26:28And at age 41, another piece of basketball history carries that battle.
26:33Quick first step, the first dunk.
26:35He still does that, by the way.
26:37LeBron James, who added another jewel to his crown, carrying an undermanned team to a round
26:43one win.
26:44Game six belongs to the Lakers.
26:46The series belongs to the Lakers.
26:48Next for the four-time MVP is the current holder of that title.
26:53It's SGA against the King, playing out on basketball's most boisterous stage.
26:58Lakers, Thunder, next on NBC.
