00:00How would you assess the first few days?
00:01I would say they've went great.
00:04Everybody's coming together as a team, especially as a defense,
00:07like all learning the new stuff, but it's been great.
00:10What went into the number change for you?
00:13Honestly, I wanted just a lower number, and nine was really a number I liked, so
00:18chose that.
00:20You guys have pads on Friday.
00:21Does it feel kind of like day before Christmas type of pads right now?
00:24Definitely exciting to get back in pads.
00:27No, we haven't been in them for a little bit, so I'm excited to get back to it.
00:30Is there a way you can channel your aggressiveness now that you're not in pads?
00:35How do you get ready for that?
00:37Honestly, through these practices, the coaches prepare us well for it.
00:42Obviously, it's not full speed or anything yet, but when we get into pads,
00:45we can thud a little bit.
00:47A lot of new defensive coaches.
00:49What have you thought of Coach Gonzalez and Coach Carter?
00:52Coach Gonzalez has been great.
00:54He's really detailed, too, and he teaches us a lot, so he's very helpful.
00:59And then same with Coach Patterson, very helpful.
