00:00Now we're talking about a gospel that men don't like to hear much because we're sinners,
00:06because we don't want to change. We shut our eyes to the gospel, we close our ears to the gospel,
00:12but this gospel has the only remedy. So it's a sad thing when men close their ears and shut
00:17their eyes on the gospel. The Bible says that men's hearts wax gross. We build up a resistance
00:24to the word of God. So I'm speaking to men and women who have built up a resistance. How do
00:28one,
00:28how does someone build up a resistance to the word of God? Well, they do it through disobedience
00:34over time, meaning they hear the word, but they don't want to commit to that word.
00:39They have been exposed to the word. There's some people that know Christian language very well.
00:45However, they're unconverted. They've sat up in the church for 20, 30 years, yet they're unconverted
00:50because they did not want to submit. They heard the word and they kept hardening themselves,
00:54hardening themselves. So every time someone speaks to the gospel, ears go closed. It becomes
00:58a habitual. Unfortunately, we have some people who habitually close their ears to the gospel,
01:05train their minds to close their ears. Whenever they hear Jesus, ears go closed. Unless you're
01:10talking about the Jesus of love. Man, ears stay open when you're talking about the Jesus of love.
01:14He loves me. He's a cuddly, telly bearer. He loves me. But Jesus is a God of judgment today,
01:20ladies and gentlemen. He's also, he does love us. I'm telling you, he does love us. But I got to
01:25say,
01:25he's a God of judgment as well. So accept both parts of Jesus. But when you talk about Jesus being
01:30a God of judgment, ears go closed. Because we don't want to know about the real Jesus. We want to
01:36know
01:36about the cuddly teddy bear Jesus. But Jesus is not a cuddly teddy bear that you pull out when you
01:41want
01:41to. When you're sinning, you put them away. No, Jesus sees your sin, ladies and gentlemen. And he will judge
01:47us for our sins.
