00:00You see it everywhere on YouTube. Make a million dollars a year, make a hundred grand a month,
00:04whatever it is. I'm guilty of it too. Making videos where I show you how I made 1.9 million
00:09dollars in a year. However, for a lot of people, that's just not very realistic. Some people just
00:14want to make an extra 500 to a thousand dollars a month in addition maybe to their day job. So
00:20in
00:20this video, I'm going to cover some side hustles. And my goal for these is that they're not only
00:24realistic side hustles, but they can also bring in an extra 500 to a thousand dollars without
00:30affecting your regular job schedule. In fact, if you stick around until side hustle number two,
00:35I'll show you how average people have made over $40,000 in extra income just working a few extra
00:42hours on the weekend. But first, let's start with side hustle number one. According to Zip Recruiter,
00:47those working full-time on this side hustle make an average of around $64,000 per year. So if you
00:54do
00:54the math on that, working just part-time at it, making a few hundred dollars extra per month on
00:58it is totally realistic. And this is mainly because it's providing something that small
01:03businesses desperately need and the small businesses pay very well for. In fact, here's a video of me
01:10driving my 16-year-old daughter home after she got her first client doing this exact thing. And here's
01:16a screenshot of the first payment that she got from this side hustle. Although small businesses
01:21desperately need this, they don't have the time or the skills to do it. And a lot of them just
01:27don't
01:28want to deal with it at all. So what is this exactly? You've probably noticed that small businesses
01:33often have a Facebook account or an Instagram page, but they often look like a ghost town,
01:39literally like nobody lives there. There's very few posts. A lot of times the information isn't even
01:44updated or reliable. Sometimes they have like one post from like three years ago of a sale that they did.
01:50And frankly, sometimes it might be better if these outdated social media pages didn't even exist for
01:56these small businesses because they actually make the small business look bad. Usually the secretary
02:01or maybe the nephew of the owner set these things up because the owner of the small business heard,
02:06oh, I need to be on the internet, on social media. But they don't realize that you have to regularly
02:11post
02:12on these social media pages in order to bring in any new revenue to the business from it.
02:18So these small businesses desperately need someone to manage their social media pages. And it's very
02:24simple to do. When you become their social media manager, you're going to be taking over their
02:29social media accounts for them and maybe even creating new ones, scheduling the content, moderating
02:35comments, engaging with new followers on those pages. And you can create amazing social media content
02:41using a tool for free called Canva. There's also this tool called Buffer, which I'll show you on my
02:48screen right now, which will automatically schedule out the posts for you. So you can do the work ahead
02:54of time, schedule out a bunch of posts for whatever small businesses you're doing this for, and Buffer
02:59will automatically post it on a schedule into the future without you having to sit there and do it
03:04manual. So you can take a day, maybe a Saturday or an evening and put together a bunch of posts
03:09and then
03:09let Buffer do the work of automatically scheduling those posts out over time. Now, how much can you
03:15make with this? Many businesses will pay $200 to $300 a month for this service. So with just two to
03:23four small business clients, you can hit a pretty decent side income. And because it's so flexible and
03:29it's fully online, it's a great option for producing some extra cash alongside your full-time job. Now,

04:05Google Maps. If you go to Google Maps and do a search for any business type, I just did a

04:09for tool and dye shop here. And then if you just click on the businesses here on the left, if
04:14you click
04:15on any of them and then you scroll all the way down to the bottom, it will actually show you
04:20their
04:20social media pages. So you can see right here, this one has a Facebook page and you can go and
04:25look
04:25and see, does it look like it's updated on a regular basis? Some small businesses, they might not even
04:30have any small social media pages listed here. And in that case, you could actually charge them to set
04:35up the social media on Facebook or on Instagram, as well as charging them monthly to maintain. Now, I have

05:52video just like
05:53this one that you're watching. And then it takes a ton of time to create consistently well-written
05:58scripts for videos that are actually interesting. So many creators, including myself, don't actually
06:03have the time to do all the research and writing that's required to write their own YouTube video
06:10scripts. Therefore, we like to outsource this part of the video creation to script writers.
06:16And believe it or not, there's a huge need for this. I actually have trouble finding good script
06:21writers myself. So it's a huge opportunity for you. Now, I know what you're thinking. You're probably

08:25don't do it personally, but my son does. He taught himself how to do it. And he's made thousands of
08:31dollars with this. And he started doing it before he even knew how to drive a car. Now this one

08:37similar to script writing because a lot of YouTube creators like myself spend a lot of time recording a
08:44lot of videos, but we don't have the time or the skills to actually edit this video down and add
08:50in
08:50special effects and everything that make it actually interesting to watch. If you look at this YouTuber
08:54named Vega, he says he made $100,000 in eight months as a video editor for famous channels like Iman
09:03Godson. You might not know this, but many YouTubers pay between a hundred and even up to a thousand
09:08dollars per video just to have the thing edited down and polished. Now obviously it depends on the
09:14type of video and how long it is. If you're willing to stretch yourself and learn how, this can be

09:19great side hustle for you. Now getting started does not require expensive or advanced equipment. In fact,
09:25my son got started on this with some software that just came on his iMac for free. You can also
09:30get
09:30Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and there's tons of online tutorials to teach you how to do it. In
09:36fact, my son taught himself how to do it just watching YouTube videos on how to edit. Basically
09:42that will teach you how to combine different clips, how to put special effects on it, and how to create
09:47a polished final product. And if you can edit just five to ten videos per month, you could easily earn
09:52between five hundred and a thousand dollars all while just working on your own schedule even after
09:57your nine-to-five job. And because YouTube is only growing, the demand for this side hustle is only
10:03going to keep increasing in the years to come. Now I do want to say these side hustles are not
10:09autopilot side hustles. In other words, all the side hustles I've covered so far involve you putting

11:08I'm sure you've gone to a store to buy something and when it comes time to buy it, you paid
11:13with a
11:13credit card or a debit card. You might not know this, but the person who set up that credit card
11:18system where you swiped your card is probably getting paid a small commission every time someone
11:25swipes their card in that store. Simply by being the person that set it up one time, they're getting
11:31paid day after day without having to do ongoing work. Those credit card machines on the counter of
11:37different stores are not owned by the stores themselves. It's usually someone else that brought
11:42the machine in, set it up for them, got them going with it. And it's much easier to set up

11:47like this than you might think. The name of it is a credit card processing broker. And basically what
11:53you do is you connect a store, like a grocery store or a restaurant, with a company that provides those
11:59little machines that go on the counter where you swipe your card. And if you're the one to set up
12:03the machine there and put it on their counter, you're also the one that's going to get a small
12:08commission every time someone swipes their card there. And those swipes really add up, especially if
12:13you're in a business with a lot of swipes like a restaurant or a grocery store. Like going back to
12:18ZipRecruiter, they report that the average salary of a full-time credit card processing broker is
12:24around $45,000. So there's definitely some good side income to be made with this. And the nice thing is
12:30you don't need any prior experience and you don't have to know the ins and outs of even setting up
12:35the
12:35system. Because a lot of times the companies that provide those little machines also provide tech
12:40support. They even sometimes provide representatives that will come to the store and set up the machine
12:46right there. So all you're really doing is connecting the store owner with the company that
12:52provides the machine. So you can imagine if you just spent 20 minutes per day going into a brand new
12:57store and simply asking them, do you like the machine here that's providing this credit card swipe
13:03service for you? And if they have any complaints at all about it, that's your in to offer them a
13:08better
13:08solution. And again, the company providing the machine will send their own rep out to close the
13:14deal. And a lot of times even to do the setup of the machine itself. All you need to do
13:18is do a
13:18search for point of sale companies. See what companies in your area offer a partner program
13:26where they'll pay you a commission for connecting them with a store owner who needs a credit card
13:31swipe machine. Now let's go to realistic side hustle number five. Now, most of you watching this video
13:36have probably gone on Amazon and downloaded some kind of an audio book that you could listen to in the
13:42car
13:43or maybe your kids are listening to audio books a lot. But a report that was published on LinkedIn
13:47stated that the audio book market is expected to reach $19.4 billion in the next two years. And you
13:56might
13:56be asking, what does this have to do with me? The fifth realistic side hustle that you can do in
14:00your
14:00spare time is being a voiceover artist. And don't worry, you don't have to be a professional audio
14:07recorder. In fact, my own daughter when she was just a kid was a voiceover artist for a video game.
14:14They gave her a script of a bunch of things to say because they needed a child's voice for their
14:18video game. And she got paid just for reading those words into the microphone. And you can get started
14:23for free or extremely cheap. You can just buy a USB microphone like the one I'm talking to right here
14:29that can be under $100. And there's some free software that I use a ton called Audacity, which
14:35lets you record in stereo and lets you do minor edits and things like that. And a quiet recording
14:40space. And you're off to the races. Platforms like Fiverr and Upwork and even one called Voices.com
14:47make it really easy to find people looking for voiceover work. Projects can pay between $50 to even up
14:53to $500 depending on the length and the complexity, obviously. But with even just a few gigs per month,
15:01earning a few hundred dollars per month extra or even up to $1,000 extra is totally doable. Now, here's
15:07a cool
15:07thing. Amazon actually has a way for you to sign up as a voiceover actor. It's called Amazon's Audiobook
15:14Creation Exchange. And you can actually click and sign up really easy right there on Amazon. And you can actually
15:21be
15:22the voiceover artist for audiobooks that they're trying to publish right now. It's going to be
15:27totally flexible. You're going to be able to do it from home. And the pay is great. This sixth side
15:32hustle is another one that I've paid thousands of dollars for other people to do this for me,
15:38especially now that businesses are more used to paying people to work from home. It's become even
15:43more popular for people to make money doing this. That is what's called a virtual assistant. Now,
15:49according to one study, business owners now realize that hiring a virtual assistant instead of hiring
15:55like a full-time in-person employee can reduce costs for them by almost 78%. Whether you're a virtual
16:02assistant for a real estate agent or a coach or a lawyer or just an entrepreneur like me, I can
16:08tell
16:08you from personal experience, business owners like myself are looking for virtual assistants to support
16:13and handle a variety of different tasks that can all be done online. Whether it's managing emails
16:18or managing calendar, booking flights, so many of the tasks that used to require someone to be in an
16:25office to do can now be done with a simple computer from home by anyone. The best places to get

16:31for this is Upwork or Fiverr and just posting whatever kind of online skills you have experience with.
16:37If you're a quick learner, most of your clients are going to be willing to teach you the skills so

16:47who work from home on their own schedule to get all kinds of stuff done for my business. The disadvantage

16:54being a virtual assistant, as with some of the other side hustles I've mentioned here, is that you're really
16:58trading dollars for hours. In other words, if you don't put in the time hourly, that extra side money is
