00:00Round two in the association. We're kicking it off tonight. Some spread lines that you need to know and no
00:05rest for the weary.
00:06The Philadelphia 76ers, Joe, were up in Boston on Saturday night and got a 109-100 victory, vanquishing the demons
00:13since 1982.
00:14The last time the Sixers actually knocked out the Boston Celtics in a playoff series.
00:19Now they head to New York to take on the New York Knicks, who are rested and are favored by
00:24seven and a half points tonight.
00:25The total in this one, 2-12 and a half. Joel Embiid and the Sixers gave it everything they had
00:30to come back in a 3-1 series.
00:32Is there enough energy left in the tank roughly 48 hours later to play the New York Knicks show?
00:37What's the spread line tonight between those Sixers and the New York Knicks?
00:41Well, there was some questions about whether Embiid would go in here, and he's already been cleared.
00:46He is going now. And listen, we have seen this in years past where you get hot at the right
00:54time.
00:54And it has been a long road for the 76ers, but you got now all of a sudden Paul George
01:02playing at the level everyone thought he was capable of when they got him 9,000 years ago.
01:07Embiid appears to be healthy enough to give this thing a go.
01:10You got Maxey, you got Edgecombe, and yet the market doesn't care because this thing opened up at five and
01:16a half.
01:16It's now seven and a half, and the Knicks have been twirling their thumbs over the last three days waiting
01:21to see if it was the Celtics or the Sixers they would be playing.
01:25So I think it's an interesting line move early with the 76ers not getting a whole lot of love coming
01:32off of game seven.
01:34But this is a totally different animal than the Atlanta Hawks here.
01:38So it would not shock me if this is much closer than Knicks fans are going to like here at
01:43the end of the day.
01:45Yeah, we'll find out when it gets started tonight at 8 o'clock in the world's most famous arena.
01:49And away they go in game one of round number two in the Eastern Conference here.
01:52Let's flip it over, Joe, to the Western Conference.
01:54And also, didn't think the Sixers would be there.
01:56That was supposed to be the Knicks taking on the Boston Celtics.
01:59Now you take on here Minnesota Timberwolves and the San Antonio Spurs.
02:02We expected the Spurs to be here, but the Minnesota Timberwolves, even at a 3-1 lead, the underdogs in
02:07that series against the Denver Nuggets,
02:09and were able to pick up a victory.
02:10But San Antonio laying two touchdowns tonight, 13 and a half across the board as a favorite for the Spurs,
02:18and a total of 217 and a half.
02:20Is that number just way too high, or is this going to be a bludgeoning tonight by the Spurs?
02:25What's the spread line tonight for you, Joe?
02:27T-Wolf Spurs.
02:28Well, the market is telling you exactly what this game is going to be.
02:32But I think it's the game inside the game, Donnie.
02:35Listen, Minnesota should not be here, right?
02:37I mean, how do you lose your entire starting backcourt and end up putting away the Joker and Jamal Murray
02:43and your nemesis there in the Denver Nuggets?
02:46Let's not forget, this is a Timberwolves team that has made it to the Western Conference Final often over the
02:52last few seasons.
02:53Now, it does look like Anthony Edwards has somewhat practiced.
02:57He went into questionable, wasn't doubtful.
03:00They didn't rule him out.
03:01He's questionable.
03:03And if he's questionable at this point, Donnie, you've got to think he's going to go here.
03:08And I think he will.
03:10I think he'll give it a go.
03:11DeSono was probably not going to be there.
03:13But how much experience do the number six seed Timberwolves have versus the very young San Antonio Spurs?
03:21Asking a team to win is one thing.
03:23Asking him to win against a very veteran-laden team who's been here and done this?
03:29Man, that's a lot of points here, Donnie.
03:31But you know what?
03:31I don't see it going the other way anytime soon.
03:35Buy an NBA team.
03:36Use it as a piggy bank.
03:38That's not normally what happens here.
03:39Most of the times, a big corporation buys an NBA team, and they roll around in the riches.
03:43They go from $2 billion to $4 billion to $6 billion, and away they go, and they buy more teams
03:47out there.
03:47But how about this?
03:48We've been hearing a lot, Joe, out of the Portland Trailblazers and what's going on within that franchise.
03:53And latest from front office sports, Tom Dundon is cutting spending on the Trailblazers, but is pouring money into pickleball.
04:00The NBA owner recently contributed $225 million investment in Pickleball Incorporated, which now serves as a parent company of both
04:09the PPA and Major League Pickleball.
04:12So don't pay your coaches.
04:14You know, don't pay the mascot.
04:16You know, wind down things at the arena, but then take that money and put it in a pickleball, Joe.
04:20The NBA has got to be loving this story.
04:22And I'm laughing, Donnie, because one of the other stories coming out this weekend is how Portland plans on pursuing
04:28Giannis.
04:30Oh, that is great.
04:31How are you going to afford that?
04:33Yeah, if I'm Lillard, I probably want to get out of there as fast as my knee can heal so
04:38I don't have to deal with this guy.
04:40Yeah, listen, diversify, I guess, right?
04:43Is that the way it is?
04:44Maybe next is the Saudi money coming in and just overtakes everything.
04:48Exactly.
04:49Everybody's going to get paid less here so I can invest more in pickleball.
04:52We'll see how that works in there with Tom Dundon.
04:53Already looks like public enemy number one in the Rose City.
04:57Let's take a look here from NBA, or excuse me, underdog NBA Joe.
05:00Take a look at the Nuggets offseason.
05:02They weren't happy, and as you saw Nicole Jokic say, hey, if this was in Serbia, we'd all be getting
05:06fired.
05:06Well, they're not in Serbia, which is why David Adelman's job looks like it's going to be safe as the
05:10head coach.
05:11Jokic expected to sign a massive contract extension this summer.
05:14But also, will there be, quote, real roster changes in Denver here to help out Jokic on his quest for
05:21another championship?
05:23Well, I mean, they've already come out and said the reports are that everybody except the Joker is available, including
05:31the $161 million you still owe Jamal Murray, apparently.
05:36But, yeah, he's not safe either.
05:38So, it appears that maybe Denver could be looking to make a few changes here in the offseason.
05:45But the Joker is not one of them.
05:48No, Joker's going to get a huge extension, just like you're supposed to get when one of the best players
05:52in the NBA.
05:52He will get that ink sign this summer, put in a better team around them.
05:56Maybe that'll help them next year.
05:57I don't know if this is a flex, if it's good or bad.
05:59Well, the one thing is the Detroit Pistons are still playing basketball, and you have to like that.
06:03But also, you were the one seed going up an eighth seed and said, yeah, it came back from a
06:083-1 deficit here.
06:10It's almost like, yeah, it feels good to advance, but why the heck do we have such a hard time
06:13with Orlando?
06:16Because, well, Styles make fights, and Orlando, although if they were halfway offensively competent, would have blown out the Pistons
06:26here because they got exposed on a lot of fronts, Donnie.
06:29They got pushed around, and then, of course, they don't really have a great three-point shooting team, which is
06:35a big part of being able to win in the postseason.
06:38So, you know, congratulations.
06:40You got past Orlando, but I don't know how that's going to work out against a Knicks or a Cavs
06:48who can certainly shoot you off the court.
06:51How's it working out, Joe Ranieri, for those Boston fans, particularly the Celtics here?
06:56Celtics blow a 3-1 series lead to the Philadelphia 76ers, and it culminated on Saturday night with a 109
07:02-100 victory for the 76ers.
07:04Boston is the first team to lose a 3-1 series since the Clippers in 2020.
07:08Now, granted, on Sunday, again, there was a team with a 3-1 series lead that blew that, but as
07:12of Saturday night, the Celtics fans down bad.
07:17You know, but again, correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't this supposed to be just a, wasn't this supposed to
07:23be a transition year?
07:24Like, you know, you got rid of all of that contract money, you brought in a bunch of new guys.
07:30Like, so what are we, I don't understand what the, now Missoula's got to go, like he's no good anymore.
07:35Like, what are we doing here, Boston?
07:37Now, here's a, he's always been an interesting quote guy.
07:40Let me read this to the people, Joe.
07:41Joe Missoula's thoughts on a 3-1 lead versus the Sixers.
07:44The year we won, I felt just as empty as when we lost, I did as when we lost.
07:50What does that mean?
07:52Like, they won it all, he was still unhappy, and they lose it all, and he's still unhappy?
07:56What does that mean?
07:57Yeah, bottom line is exactly correct.
07:59They're calling for his job now, and, you know, so it doesn't make a win or lose.
08:03You're only as good as your next game is basically what he's telling the Boston fans there.
08:08So, yeah, I get it, man.
08:10What were you supposed, you didn't have any center.
08:12He had nobody to compete with Embiid, and he destroyed you.
08:15End of story.
08:17And, look, shoot three-point shots, shoot 50 of them, make like 13.
08:21You're going to win very many basketball games.
08:23They had a legit chance.
08:23Like, the Sixers were burying them in the first quarter.
08:26They came back.
08:26The Sixers were burying them at the end of the third quarter.
08:29They came all the way back, but they just kept shooting three-point shots down the stretch
08:32and couldn't make any of them.
08:34And Tyrese Maxey closed them out.
08:35How about this final tweet here, Joe?
08:37Boston Sports in 2026.
08:39Celtics blow a 3-1 lead in the playoffs.
08:41The Bruins get knocked out in round number one.
08:43Alex Gore already fired from a bad baseball season with the Boston Red Sox.
08:47And the Patriots were smoked in the Super Bowl, and their coach is embroiled in turmoil.
08:52Come see, Boston.
08:54Back to the basement you go.
08:57More to come.
08:57Let's keep it in the boroughs of New York today.
09:00And out over to Madison Square Garden, 8 o'clock tonight.
09:03Most people would have thought, ooh, rematch.
09:05Tatum's going to get his revenge.
09:06Celtics going up against the Knicks.
09:07Not so fast.
09:09The Philadelphia 76ers are in town roughly 48 hours after their victory for the Celtics.
09:15No time to decompress when the Knicks have been hanging out here.
09:17And a touchdown favorite for those Knicks tonight, Kevin.
09:20What do you think happens in the Garden tonight?
09:22Well, I can't really figure out exactly why this is the number.
09:27What I mean is, is it 7.5 because of a rest advantage for New York, right?
09:34Will this be a shorter number in Game 2 when both teams have played Monday to Wednesday?
09:41Is this 7.5 because they're not 100% sure Joel Embiid is going to play?
09:48It's possible, right?
09:51Embiid is likely going to play.
09:53He is one of the few guys that if you said, hey, he sat out one of the first two,
09:58I know there's a lot of outside people who are like, the NBA, worst sport ever.
10:02Or what's going on?
10:03For Embiid, that might be the right call for a series that's supposed to go every other day.
10:08Or did the Knicks beat the Hawks so bad, their power rating move this much?
10:15Because this is what Boston was going to lay in a Game 7 at home with a healthy Tatum.
10:21We know Boston's been booked as better than the Knicks throughout the season.
10:25So whatever credit you would give the Knicks for beating Atlanta,
10:29you would think Philly would get some of that for beating Boston.
10:32Like, people are like, oh, Tatum didn't play Game 7.
10:34Yeah, but he for sure played in games 2, 5, and 6.
10:39So the number just looks like a few points bigger than I would have expected, guys.
10:48And there's a couple of things that could explain it.
10:53But if it's just like a rest advantage,
10:54I don't know if that's enough to justify the Knicks being 7.5-point favorites.
10:59Yeah.
11:02It is going to be interesting.
11:04But I don't think it's enough rest where we should worry about rust, right?
11:08It doesn't feel like we're bordering on, you know,
11:12you want to keep playing, right, when you're that.
11:14I don't think three days is going to make a difference one way or another
11:18as far as what kind of offense they can put up.
11:21Yeah, I don't think so.
11:24Although, if that's the case, then the Spurs and Thunder may look terrible.
11:30Right.
11:30Although we're not expecting that based on the fact that these guys
11:33are all laying two touchdowns, right?
11:35So, yeah, it's really interesting.
11:39It's been a – you know, it's funny.
11:41I know we'll do it tomorrow, but, like, the time off, right,
11:46it was supposed to be this big benefit for, like, Luka to get back.
11:50And all of a sudden, you're like, no,
11:52this actually just allowed Jalen Williams to get healthy.
11:54No, it didn't help the Lakers one bit with Luka.
11:58Just allowed –
12:00I have no idea what's going on with Anthony Edwards, guys.
12:02I'll be honest with you.
12:03I have no clue.
12:05I thought he was going to miss the whole series.
12:07And now they legitimately seem to be thinking he might be able to play
12:11the opening game.
12:12Certainly now – at this point now, it feels like it would be surprising
12:15if he wasn't back by the third game of this series.
12:19Now, also, talking about the game, because you take Eastern Conference here,
12:22Sixers versus the Knicks, and also the Cavaliers versus the Pistons.
12:24We'll see how that goes out.
12:25But the Western Conference, it looks like, Kevin, they're saying,
12:28all right, it's already over.
12:29Spurs move them on.
12:30And OKC, we'll see if those two can match up.
12:32And that's what the NBA really likes.
12:34Now, granted, they would love Luka Doncic to be healthy out there,
12:37Austin Reeves, LeBron James, and that Lakers market to be involved.
12:39But if you look right now, and you get the Lakers and or the Timberwolves,
12:43who do you think is more likely to advance into the Western Conference Finals
12:47as an underdog if one of them can?
12:50I think it has to be Minnesota, and I think it has to do with kind of the Spurs
12:56and their lack of postseason experience still relative to a Minnesota team
13:03who just pulled off a monster upset over the Denver Nuggets.
13:07Yeah, there it is.
13:08Kevin Walsh joins us each and every day, Monday through Friday.
13:11Catch him on Game Time Decisions tonight, 6 p.m. Eastern, right here on the grid.
13:15That is fantastic.
13:16That is what it is.
13:17Is what it is, people.
13:19Let's get to the people, the information they need to know, which includes, Joe,
13:22how about this?
13:23A little fade to public.
13:32We asked a question on the Sports Grid Network out to the people heading into
13:35the second round.
13:36Who is your favorite to win the NBA Finals?
13:39Three teams we gave you, OKC, San Antonio, and New York.
13:43And also the other, the other feeling like, eh, nobody's going to win it there.
13:47But the favorites, as they're supposed to be, is OKC and the San Antonio Spurs.
13:52Western Conference rules out here, Joe.
13:56Yeah, but the problem is they're going to have to play one another in order to be
14:00able to get it done.
14:01So basically what the public is saying is that, yeah, it doesn't make a difference
14:04who comes out of the East.
14:05They're not winning it.
14:07It's going to be San Antonio and OKC, one of those two.
14:10The problem is they're going to have to devour one another in what should be an
14:14epic series.
14:16And in the meantime, in the East, all of a sudden, call me crazy, but are the New York
14:21Knicks not the most well-put-together team with an opportunity to make a run and get
14:26this done here?
14:27Oh, I'm sorry.
14:28They're playing your Sixers.
14:29Sorry.
14:30Yeah, I still think maybe the Knicks are a little undervalued coming out of the East.
14:35And by the way, one of those players on the Lakers when they were really bad was
14:37Jeremy Lin was a part of that as well.
14:39Oh, yes.
14:41Yes.
14:41Out there.
14:41Mouth and all.
14:42Having fun.
14:43Oh, we back.
14:44We back.
14:44And Kobe's like, yeah, you ain't back at this point right now.
14:46Just wait till I get back here.
14:47But, Joe, the people on a Monday need some best bets.
14:50Here comes Bye Bye Bye.
14:58Playoff games get tougher as the rounds move on, Joe.
15:01Where do we head tonight?
15:02Are we going to the Big Apple?
15:05Yeah, we are going to the Big Apple, Donnie, because I think that the value tonight in this
15:11game is in the total.
15:12And I like the overt here tonight.
15:15You got a 76ers team coming off a game seven against their arch nemesis there.
15:21And usually what happens in these spots, Donnie, is that it's not so much the offense, because
15:25I think their offense is in a groove now and is in a rhythm that is, you know, having just
15:31one day off is going to help them.
15:33Where you see it is on the defensive end here.
15:36And I think we're going to see maybe a little letdown in a game one of a new series defensively
15:42for the 76ers.
15:43I think the Knicks, three days off offensively, will deliver.
15:47But at the same time for the Knicks, usually the first thing to go, take your foot off the
15:52gas defensively here a little bit.
15:54This could be, and I think it's going to be, one of the higher scoring games of this series,
15:59this game one with both teams looking to make a statement offensively.
16:03I don't think the defense will, the intensity will be there in a game one like tonight.
16:09Yeah.
16:09And we'll take a look.
16:10I'm going to stick also in Madison Square Garden tonight.
16:13Now it's not a true like public fade at this point, because the ticket prices are coming
16:16in evenly here, but I'm going to take the Philadelphia 76ers getting seven and a half
16:20points tonight.
16:20It was either that or taking the 13 and a half year with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
16:24I'm going to stick with the Sixers still running on adrenaline 48 hours later, maybe
16:28have to win this basketball game, but at least to keep it close, if Joel Embiid does play
16:31as he's expected to, should be a fun one to watch it play out.
16:34So two games tonight, same building, I should say.
16:37One on the total, one on the side, and away we go.
16:40P&E coming up next on the Early Line.
16:43Don't miss out.
16:44We're time to invest those funds, people.
16:47The Market's Edge on the Early Line, Monday edition.
16:50Did you enjoy your weekend?
16:51Was it profitable for you?
16:52Did you invest your money appropriately here?
16:54Well, that's the goal of the show.
16:55And over the next half hour, we got you covered on hot topics, which includes the NHL, Major
16:59League Baseball, the NBA, and so much more.
17:02Sonny, right side.
17:03And it's Joe Ranieri.
17:04The next half hour is ours, and we're ready to take control, Joe.
17:08I'm ready to go, Donnie.
17:10I'm ready for a new week, round two in the postseasons there, NHL, NBA, some great Major
17:17League Baseball matchups this week as well.
17:20So a lot going on here.
17:22Knicks fans, stay out of Philadelphia.
17:27Here's Joel Embiid.
17:28I just have a message for our fans.
17:31Last time we played in Knicks, it felt like this was Madison Square, Garden East.
17:38So we're going to need the support.
17:41You know, don't sell your tickets.
17:43You know, this is bigger than you.
17:46We need you guys.
17:48I'm most sure that we've had the last couple of games in Philly, especially the last one,
17:52pushing it to game seven.
17:54I mean, we need all of it.
17:56I don't care if it's 70, 30.
17:59You know, it's Knicks fans.
18:00They travel.
18:01They're going to buy the tickets.
18:02And there's going to be, you know, some people that need the money.
18:06And I, you know, probably going to sell tickets.
18:10But don't do it.
18:11We need you guys.
18:12We got a pretty good chance.
18:14We're going to need our support.
18:16We're going to need them to be extremely loud.
18:20And, you know, if you need money, I got you.
18:27Look at that, Joe Embiid, willing to pay you to not sell your tickets at this point.
18:31It's hard to give up.
18:32Now, understand one thing about this.
18:33Like, a lot of conglomerates own those tickets, not just individual season ticket owners.
18:37And also, when you have a chance that, hey, I'm going to buy this for $200 and get sold for
18:41$1,000
18:41for a game three or game four, sometimes you're going to give up that option.
18:45And New York Knicks fans, they will buy it.
18:47Why?
18:47Because they go, well, I'm going to pay $5,000 to get in the garden.
18:49I'm going to pay $1,000 to get in down to Philadelphia.
18:51And it's a two-hour ride or less.
18:52Or I already live in New Jersey.
18:54It's an hour away.
18:55They're going to buy those tickets.
18:56But the one thing the Philadelphia 76ers did, which you do see a lot, is if you don't have a
19:01local area code,
19:02or should I say local zip code on your credit card, they don't allow you to buy it.
19:05But that doesn't stop, Joe, the secondary ticket market, where it's like, all right, we can't buy it from Ticketmaster.
19:10We might have 5,000 tickets, but we can buy whatever we want on StubHub or TickPick or any of
19:14those type of sites.
19:16Yes, they, you know, the secondary market alive and well here, Donnie.
19:21It's, you know, but the original, you know, the original source of the tickets is what the Sixers are trying
19:28to avoid,
19:28is like, listen, you know, don't buy them and then immediately turn around.
19:32But once they're on the secondary market, then it's, you know, the market takes over at that point, Donnie.
19:37It's supply and demand.
19:39Supply and demand.
19:40Markets take over.
19:41Yes, contracts.
19:42No contracts.
19:43Let's get into it right now.
19:44In the Calci marketplace, those Philadelphia 76ers, not home yet.
19:47They're on the road tonight to take on the New York Knicks.
19:50Roughly about a seven and a half point favorite here for those New York Knicks.
19:53But if we're looking at the Calci marketplace, almost $2 million in volume so far.
19:56New York, Joe, a 70% chance to win this game, trading to a yes contract of 71 cents,
20:02which means that the Knicks just went out right.
20:04A hundred dollar investment pays back $141.
20:08Currently at a 30% yes ticket for those Philadelphia 76ers to pull the outright upset, Joe.
20:14A $100 investment pays back 334.
20:17Knicks, Sixers tonight.
20:19MSG game one.
20:21Yeah, listen, I think this is going to be, it's an ideal spot, obviously, for the Knicks
20:26who come in three days of rest.
20:28You got the Sixers off of game seven, which is a bit emotionally draining there.
20:34But I do think they have figured something out offensively.
20:38I think Nick Nurse and company have figured some things out in the rotations.
20:42They've kind of shrunk it a little bit.
20:44The bench has played better.
20:45But Embiid, Paul George, Maxie, and Edgecombe are starting to come into their own, Donnie.
20:51Don't forget, they missed a lot of opportunities to play with one another this year.
20:56And I think this is exactly what you just watched against Boston,
21:01is what Philadelphia in the front off thought they were getting when they put this team together.
21:07And I think offensively, they're going to be fine.
21:10The question is, defensively, what are you going to get from them here tonight?
21:14And the answer is, I don't think a lot.
21:16I think the Knicks, likely, point total over.
21:20I think the full game over.
21:22I think the points are coming for both teams in this one tonight.
21:26Yeah, and by the way, the Philadelphia 76ers, not really deep on that bench.
21:29You're going to need to ride those starters and see how it plays out.
21:31You saw some of the pictures floating around of Jalen Brunson on his couch
21:34with a big slam poster in the background of him.
21:37If you think he has a big night in game, number one, 30-plus points for Brunson.
21:40That pays a $100 investment back $244.
21:44Another game won tonight, and the spread even higher here, Joe.
21:48The Timber was going to take on the Spurs in San Antonio.
21:50If you're just picking the victor here on the Calci marketplace,
21:54a $100 investment on San Antonio to win outright is an $0.85 contract to the yes,
22:00which means a $100 investment, Joe, only comes back $118.
22:05Ouch.
22:07Well, you know, the big question here is what is going to be the status of the backcourt?
22:11Is Anthony Edwards playing?
22:13The fact that he went from doubtful to now he's questionable, and don't forget,
22:19I mean, we were hearing just a couple of days ago that he was not going to play at all.
22:22Now he's been upgraded to questionable, and he's also practiced.
22:26So, you know, the only reason you're doing that is because you're anticipating he may go.
22:32But is this baked into the line?
22:34Because apparently it opened up at 14.5, Donnie, and we're seeing 12.5, 13s in the marketplace.
22:40So I do think that's telling you, or at least the market believes, that he is going to go in
22:46this one.
22:47How much do you believe in experience mattering at this point?
22:50Because San Antonio has none.
22:53Minnesota, you just watched what experience got them.
22:56It got them a series win over Denver.
22:59So I think it's too many points.
23:02I would not be shocked if this thing is much closer for the inexperienced Spurs than they'd like it to
23:08be tonight.
23:09More shots to go around.
23:10You take a look there at Julius Randle.
23:12You know he's going to shoot between 15 to 20 times tonight.
23:14If you feel he can get 20 points or more, even as the underdogs may be in a losing effort,
23:17a $100 investment, Joe, pays back $186.
23:21Get after it, people.
23:23Let's have some fun.
23:24It is Prediction Markets Edge on the early line.
23:26It's Joe and Donnie here on a Monday morning, and big series are starting.
23:29But also, big ways to invest your funds here.
23:31Let's go back to the Cal State marketplace.
23:33Now, sometimes we talk about, Joe, hey, do you just want to invest in the Knicks or the Sixers to
23:36win a game?
23:37Or how about this, a total?
23:38Or just taking them on the point spread or even a player prop.
23:41But the things that we love to say are, what are the announcers going to say during this game, Joe?
23:46If they say Michael Jordan, that's actually trading at $0.96 right now, or anything Jordan itself goes in.
23:52But I got to tell you, like you could say rookie, crowded crowd, injury, injured, elbow trades, all that good
23:59stuff.
23:59I slide it all the way down, Joe.
24:01And I'm taking a look at legacy, which is currently trading at 15% in the yes contract at $0
24:07.19,
24:08which means $100 investment pays back $5.27.
24:11If they just say the word legacy, which means the New York Knicks and that legacy for Jalen Brunson, what's
24:16it going to be?
24:17But more importantly, I think it might come from a Sixers side of things, Joe,
24:21which means the legacy of Joel Embiid after they beat Boston, and can they get to the Eastern Conference Finals?
24:27Legacy, almost 5-1 right now in the Cal State marketplace.
24:31I like that.
24:32I mean, he's mentioned, Martin, so all sorts of fun, but they're also kind of some of these here,
24:38you're just looking at like, how did they not say this?
24:41So, like, I don't know.
24:42It feels like with these two teams, a tech or technical is absolutely going to be dropped in this game
24:49here,
24:50especially if Scott Foster is going to be the ref.
24:52So, we've got to wait to see who the ref assignments are going to be.
24:56But it feels like that's an actual pretty safe.
25:00I think ankle's an interesting one, too, at almost even money, Donnie.
25:03What is the chance that they're going to say, oh, it could be an ankle rolling?
25:07It feels like that could very well be coming also.
25:11Great stuff, no doubt about it.
25:13Also, the same series here between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks.
25:16Told you you you can invest in the single games, but how about the series itself?
25:20Sixers are the underdogs.
25:21They're the seventh seed here going against the three seed New York.
25:24But if we do look here, New York currently trading on the Kalshi marketplace at a 69% chance to
25:29win this series
25:30and a yes contract, Joe, that's listed at 71 cents.
25:34So, a $100 investment, if you take the New York Knicks to win this series, would pay back 141.
25:39Or would you like that upset there with the Philadelphia 76ers at a 31% contract here?
25:44How about that one?
25:46Well, you know, listen, at this point, the value is in this market with the Sixers at, what, 31 cents
25:54to win it.
25:54I don't, listen, I don't think this is a five-game, you know, gentleman sweep here of the Sixers by
26:01the Knicks.
26:02I don't think currently right now between these two teams, Aaron, a whole lot different going on here.
26:08These two teams know each other, they're both experienced, they're both of experienced letdowns in their postseason careers, especially recently.
26:18I think this is going to go seven, and if it does, Donnie, at least six or seven.
26:23If it does, I'd much rather start with the Sixers at 31 cents and look for an opportunity to cash
26:30out if they win a couple of games early in this series.
26:35And if you are the New York Knicks, you need a solution for Joel Embiid, because Jalen Brown's talking to
26:40him like, we didn't have a solution for the guy.
26:45It was tough, Embiid put a lot of pressure on us, like, on all our bigs and our guards.
26:49Like, you know, we didn't really have an answer for him.
26:52We tried a bunch of different things, and he just, you know, he's a big body.
26:57And he just, you know, he also was flopping around.
27:01He got some extra calls and stuff like that, you know, and they rewarded him for that.
27:05But, you know, that's the league that we're in.
27:07So, you know, I mean, that's all I got to say.
27:13I love when the team is so salty with that flopping around, got the calls.
27:17It's not as if it was just like a one-game series where it's like, hey, I think all the
27:20guys.
27:20You had a 3-1 series lead against the Sixers here, and you weren't able to knock them out.
27:24Stop the madness here, Joe.
27:26But the Sixers do live on.
27:27They continue to fight.
27:29Did you know the Eastern Conference Championship right now in the Kalshi Marketplace, the favorite, is those New York Knicks
27:34at 38% right now?
27:35And the Sixers, giving a very little chance, Joe, at 13%.
27:39Obviously, Cleveland and Detroit in there as well.
27:41Are the Knicks far and away the best team left in the Eastern Conference for you, Joe?
27:46I think they're the best all-around team right now that's left in that Congress.
27:53I mean, listen, how in the world Toronto took the Cavs to 7 is beyond me.
27:58Detroit sneaking by Orlando is laughable.
28:02I mean, they're good teams, but this is all going to come down to styles making fights here.
28:07And right now, I think whether it's the Sixers or the Knicks, I think they're going to give either of
28:13those teams on the other side an issue here moving forward.
28:17All right.
28:18Let's also have some fun here talking about the Timberwolves and the Spurs here.
28:21What could the announcers say in that game?
28:23You know, anytime I have Victor Webinyama in a series or in a game, I want to talk about wingspan,
28:29Joe.
28:29Look at how big that guy is.
28:30The wingspan is ridiculous.
28:32That's trading at a 72% yes contract, Joe.
28:34If they say wingspan during the basketball game here in game number one, $100 investment pays back $139, Joe.
28:42Give it wingspan for the tickets.
28:45Yeah.
28:45And there's got to be some sort of alien reference, too.
28:48No, Donnie?
28:49And aren't we looking at that?
28:51I mean, there's got to be something in there that's going to refer to that.
28:56And, yeah, listen, I think MVP is probably a pretty good one, too, that's going there.
29:01But how do we not do triple-double also feels like that's going to be just, you just cash it
29:07and be done with it.
29:08Exactly.
29:09Skip around here a little bit.
29:10The Western Conference champion here.
29:12We think it's going to be between San Antonio and Oklahoma City.
29:14Major favorites in their first-round series.
29:16But OKC, Joe, 67% trading as the favorite here to win the Western Conference.
29:22San Antonio at 30%.
29:23And nobody giving any effort here to the Lakers at 4% and those Minnesota Timberwolves at 3%.
29:30How about that?
29:31Well, they're giving effort in the no market.
29:34There's plenty of effort there that the Lakers in Minnesota won't get by.
29:39But, yeah, listen, I mean, I wouldn't sleep on Minnesota because Denver certainly couldn't put them away.
29:45And they had the two best players on the court and couldn't get it done.
29:49This is where it's going to be interesting.
29:52Yes, you got Wemba Yama, but you got plenty of experience and grit on that Minnesota side.
29:58That's going to be tougher than I think people realize for San Antonio.
30:02And, by the way, if Anthony Edwards does come back at any time during the series, you're not really asking
30:07again,
30:07OKC, but if he comes back and is playing at a high level, why not?
30:10And that 3% could turn in the 4%, 5%, or 6%.
30:14If you currently have a contract here on the yes that Minnesota can win the West, it's only $0.03.
30:19$100 investment pays back $333 there.
30:22It's going to be $3,333.
30:24So, for my money, maybe it's worth a flyer at that low of a price if they can steal a
30:29game one or a game number.
30:29Or you can send it back 1-1 to Minnesota, you might have profitability already in your pocket.
30:33Pro basketball champion, Joe, again, coming down to the two teams in the Western Conference.
30:37OKC, 58%, San Antonio, 22%.
30:41The East, not getting a lot of love with the Knicks, only 9%, Joe.
30:46To me, grab the San Antonio Spurs at $0.22.
30:50You don't need them to necessarily win it.
30:52You need the market to adjust in their favor over $0.22.
