00:00Good evening, hello and welcome. You're with the news today. Our special today is on the battle for the states
00:06because remember we've had another tectonic day in Indian politics. We've had two major shocks and we've had the map
00:16of the country change. We'll bring you the big national picture at the end of this battle for the states
00:232026.
00:24But first, as always, let's bring you all the big headlines that we have for you.
00:31A saffron sweep across West Bengal. The BJP wins over 200 seats. The TMC manages to win just under 80
00:42seats. Prime Minister Modi hails the Bengal mandate, says fear of boy or fear has been defeated by the people.
00:54High drama in Bhavanipur in Kolkata. Mamta Banerjee now camps at the counting centre. Claims BJP looted over 100 seats
01:02through the election commission. BJP slams Mamta's desperate bid as they call it in West Bengal.
01:14MK's talent case defeat in Tamil Nadu after Thalapati Vijay's blockbuster debut. Vijay wins over 105 seats. Tamil Nadu Congress
01:26pushes for an alliance with Vijay. Claims the party missed a key opportunity before the polls.
01:36At trick for the BJP in Assam. Himonta Biswa Sarma led BJP government retains power. The Congress face in Assam
01:45suffers a massive defeat. Gaurav Gogoi from his bastion of Jorhat.
01:54UDF returns to power in Kerala wins 99 seats. LDF case defeat after a decade. BJP wins three seats in
02:02Kerala for the first time.
02:09NDA retains power in Bhutucherry as well. Wins over 18 seats. Another poor performance by the Congress DMK Alliance. They
02:17win just six seats.
02:27Countdown loss by term, in point, of the first time being the administration. People in the M siamo and whoeveram

02:45with long-based skill points to help.
02:49Okay, we've seen today a tectonic shift in Indian politics
02:54A day that saw the end of an era and possibly the beginning of a new one
03:00Or possibly the beginning of two new ones
03:02The big story came from West Bengal first
03:05Where Poribhurtan is in the air or change
03:08That was the clarion call that Mamata Banerjee gave in 2011
03:13When she dismantled the three-decade-old left rule
03:17Today, it was the BJP which claimed that Poribhurtan has taken place in India's eastern seaboard
03:25The BJP crossed a remarkable 200 seats in a state where they had just three seats 10 years ago
03:31The Trinamul Congress, dominant over three elections, has been reduced to less than 100 seats
03:38Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is battling at the moment from her own seat of Bhavanipur in Kolkata
03:45Struggling to defeat Suvendu Adikari in a neck-and-neck battle
03:50First, in terms of vote share, what happened in West Bengal clearly shows that there was a 7% swing
03:58for the BJP
03:59The BJP got a 7% swing in the advantage, moving from 38% to 45%
04:06The Trinamul Congress declined from 48% to 41%
04:12Those are the numbers that you need to see
04:14West Bengal, 7% swing
04:17The BJP leading now by 5% over Mamata Banerjee
04:21So 5% from 38% to 46%, 48% going down to 41%
04:27It was game, set and match for the BJP
04:31Let's turn to Tamil Nadu, where remember the Dravidar fortress was breached
04:37Talapati Vijay scripted a blockbuster debut, just short of a majority
04:43But in a position to form the next government
04:46The Vijay wave drowned Chief Minister M.K. Stalin
04:49Who has lost from his DMK bastion of Kolathur in Chennai
04:53Vijay's TVK as of now has 107 seats, 10 short of the majority
04:58The DMK led Alliance second
05:00And the NDA led by the AIDMK has come third
05:04In terms of vote share, Vijay crossed a remarkable 35%
05:07Something that even M.G. Ramachandran did not achieve
05:11Right at the very outset of his political career
05:14So you have a tectonic shift there in Tamil Nadu politics
05:19With both the major Dravidian parties taking a setback
05:23Let's first listen in to Prime Minister Modi
05:26Particularly on Bengal and how Mamata Banerjee responded
05:58The
05:59Come on, we will end this world for the world.
06:05We will end this world with a new idea.
06:18We will end this world with a new idea.
06:29ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ
07:00ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ
07:01first at the very outset, look at what this election has done, what happened really today.
07:06I'm joined by special guests at the top. Pradeep Gupta, chairman and MD Access My India joins me.
07:12Yogendra Yadav, co-founder Swaraj India is with me. Also being joined by Ashutosh. But first,
07:18I want to come to each of you. Pradeep Gupta, the reason I'm coming to you is because Pradeep
07:24Gupta was the one who predicted this Vijay blockbuster debut. More than a hundred seats.
07:29No one else did. Pradeep Gupta, you opted out of Bengal, but you chose the right state of
07:35Tamil Nadu. How do you see that? Got one right, opted out of the other. What happened in Tamil Nadu?
07:43Rajdeep, due credit to Access My India team, we got all four what we predicted spot on to the
07:52vote share and to the seats here. Now coming to the Tamil Nadu, we predicted 35% vote share for
07:59the
07:59TVK. It is 35% only. And 98 to 120 seats, the midpoint was 109. Now you are showing 107
08:10is
08:11leading or winning by the TVK or the Vijay. What had happened there is this time Vijay came victorious.
08:19It came across all the caste and geographical barriers and satraffs like Western Tamil Nadu,
08:27the Chinnai for the DMK, Western Tamil Nadu for AIDMK, Vanyaar in the Southern Tamil Nadu, PMK.
08:36It has cut across all the barriers. It is the youth in the age group of 18 to 39, which
08:44contributes
08:4542% of the Tamil Nadu population. That is where TVK scored more than 50% votes. More than 50%.
08:54Let me get that right. You are saying TVK scored more than 50% of the vote in the demographic
09:00of
09:00those between 18 and 42. Am I correct? Yes, absolutely. Okay. And among the women,
09:07among the women, TVK scored more than 38%, more than any other party, particularly in case of
09:18women and female in Tamil Nadu. I mean, this is the story, this 50% demography and that 42%
09:27youth up to age group of 43.
09:31TVK has become victorious. And yet you chose, while you got Tamil Nadu spot on, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry,
09:38you stayed out of Bengal. Any regrets? Couldn't you see a wave like this? This is a complete wave.
09:44How did you miss the wave? No, no, there is no question. Until or less people speak to our Access
09:50My India,
09:51there is no question of wave. At Access My India, we strongly believe in our process and the data science.
09:58Nothing more than that, nothing less than that. If 80% of people are not speaking and you know that,
10:06our six surveyors were sent to jail and spent about 34 days in Dam Dam jail in Kolkata.
10:12And we bailed out them from Kolkata High Court. I mean, there is no question of seeing the wave or
10:18anything else.
10:19And this is the precisely reason, though based on those 20-30% people spoke to us, I clearly said
10:26and
10:26maintained that BJP is likely to do extraordinarily well. How well? I do not have the answer that time.
10:34Yeah, but you did not say those words. But you know, I don't want to quibble on a day when
10:38you've got four
10:39states right. I think you deserve credit for having got those four states right. I want to come to my
10:45other guests for a moment. I'll come back to you, Pradeep, because Yogendra Yadavji, let's turn to the
10:50state of West Bengal. Sudhanshu Trivedi is also joining us. And Sudhanshu, I'm coming to you in a moment,
10:54because you have reason to celebrate. But Yogendra, when I look at the big picture of these states,
10:59I've mentioned these two big states at the moment. Tamil Nadu, where Vijay makes this blockbuster
11:05debut, and Bengal, where 15 years after Mamata Banerjee took power, she's been out by a major,
11:14major BJP win in a state where the BJP was just three seats 10 years ago. For you, would you
11:20agree,
11:21West Bengal is a tipping point in Indian politics. It shows a BJP dominance like never before.
11:29A tipping point for more than one reason, but let me begin by congratulating Pradeep. I've done
11:35that on two other channels as well. You know, you go out of the trend, you break from the herd,
11:42and you make a forecast, which is a very risky forecast like that, and you get it right. My
11:47congratulations. I don't do this stuff anymore, but I'm glad you are doing it.
11:52Pradeep, today is a day of reckoning for democratic opposition in this country. The window that opened
12:00in 2024 Loksama election, which had kind of narrowed down with Haryana, Maharashtra, and then in Bihar,
12:09that window is firmly shut. And therefore, the democratic opposition must introspect,
12:16hard, ask harsh questions to themselves, and ask some hard questions to the world, to the system
12:24outside. The opposition cannot and must not take too much solace from what happened in Kerala,
12:33because in Kerala, it's a routine return. And because it was delayed by five years, so probably
12:40they also added, people added some areas to that. Nothing more than that. What happened in Tamil Nadu
12:46is a great democratic transformation. And I say this without being pro or anti anyone, but this is
12:54what democracy does. You know, suddenly a rank outsider comes in and transforms it. However,
13:00what happened in Tamil Nadu is not replicable anywhere else. Tamil Nadu is sui generis in India,
13:04India. So it stays there. What happened in Assam is something where system plays a role,
13:13but a very limited role. In Assam, the delimitation was such, which is one of the worst delimitations
13:20ever in the history of this country. So the BJP began with 10 seats in its pocket before even the
13:26first vote was cast. Having said that, I would say that in Assam, BJP would have won even if the
13:36election commission had not done the kind of cheating that it has done in delimitation.
13:40The opposition, it was almost a classic case of how not to contest election. And this is what I mean
13:46by introspection for the opposition. Opposition must reimagine the way it approaches elections,
13:53its strategy, its coalitions, and the election machine. Now coming to Bengal, which is what your
14:01original question was. To my mind, yes, this kind of result cannot come unless there is a popular
14:10resentment. And people like me may have underestimated. I did not make a forecast, but I can tell you,
14:17honestly, my sense was, yes, the election commission has done some hiraferi, but Mamta's margin is too big.
14:23And she would be able to absorb that stuff. That did not happen so clearly. We made an
14:30error of judgment. And unlike Pradeep Gupta, we did not have any survey or anything else to back it up.
14:35So, yes, there was popular resentment, which we did not see. Having said that, and that's the last point
14:44I want to make. The result was probably not possible without SIR. Please remember, in SIR, 90 lakh votes
14:56were deleted. I would not say all those 90 lakh were false or targeted, because in the first round,
15:0258 lakhs were deleted. No particular evidence of that having been targeted or partisan. But the final 27
15:10lakh votes that got deleted, we have every evidence to suggest that they were targeted, that they were
15:17wrongful deletions. And that it has actually contributed in a big way to BJP victory. But
15:24may I add one more thing? But not this scale of a victory. May I intervene there? 79 to the
15:29TMC versus 208 to the BJP. Those 27 lakh, even if they were targeted in part, because a number of
15:35them
15:35also, of course, Murshidabad, Malda, large Muslim population areas, as well as in some of the Matua Belts,
15:42Hindu areas on the border, all of them got, found themselves in logical discrepancies. It would not have
15:48changed the mandate, Yogendra Yadav. Rajdeep, I think we need to hold here and just get the mathematics
15:54right. The BJP as of now, I checked a few minutes ago, only about five, six percent votes are
16:01remaining to be counted. And BJP is ahead by 5.08 percent in Bengal. That's right. 5.08.
16:07Roughly by about 32 lakh votes, they are ahead. So by the time the counting ends, BJP may have a
16:13need
16:13of about 33 lakhs. All right. 27 lakh people who were denied wrongfully their right to vote. And one
16:22thing we all forget, Rajdeep, six lakh votes were added in Bengal after the final list had been
16:29published, after which technically you cannot have any addition. And no one has the faintest idea where
16:35those six lakh votes came from. No one can tell you how exactly they were added. And 26 plus six,
16:4227 plus six
16:43is 33 lakh. I'm not saying that every single one of them was TMC voter. But in a country,
16:51should you not ask this question? And may I not, and because in the Supreme Court, our Justice
16:58Barchi, I think, had asked this question, hypothetically, he said, in one constituency,
17:03suppose the number of votes deleted is larger than the margin of victory for one party.
17:09He did not give an answer. He just posed this question. Now, this is a question which now is
17:15relevant for the whole state of Bengal. It's relevant for Mamata Banerjee's constituency of
17:21Babanipur, for example, where she's trailing by about 500 votes in a in a constituency where a large
17:27over well over a few thousand votes were cut. So those are questions.
17:31I don't have the final figure right now, Rajdeep. By tomorrow morning, possibly some smart person would
17:37come up with the exact figure. But what we want to know is this, how if you look at these
17:4227 lakh
17:43votes that were wrongfully deleted, not all the deletions, that would be unfair, plus these 6 lakhs,
17:49which were mysteriously added. And how many constituencies does this number exceed the margin
17:57of victory for the for the BJP? Once we have this number, then we can start discussing. Yes,
18:03the difference looks very big in terms of seats. For some reasons, which can happen in election,
18:10BJP has almost the same scale of victory as the TMC, although its margin is half of that of the
18:16TMC last time. TMC's margin was 10 percent and it had this kind of victory. BJP's margin is only 5
18:23percent.
18:23I'm not saying there's some hirafiri in this. This can happen in elections, especially if you have a uniform swing.
18:27So, but let's remember, it's only 5 percent. And let's remember, 5 percent is exactly the most
18:34disputed deletion in the history of Indian elections ever. Something for which the election commission
18:41owes an answer to this question. To this question.
18:44Ranshu Trivedi, you're hearing Yogendra Yadav. He has made a very important point.
18:48Do you want to respond to that, that the SIR deletions, he said, and there'll be further examination of that,
18:54could have had a major impact on that West Bengal verdict?
19:02Before Yogendra Yadav, Mr. Pradeep Gupta was saying, was very clear to give you what was going on in Bengal.
19:09If the surveyors were put to the jail for just asking whom you will vote, and then somebody's
19:16having an audacity to say that the democracy is danger for opposing them, not for supporting them.
19:24Second thing I would like to say, yes, of course, election commission has done a miracle.
19:28Because after a long time, for the first time, a peaceful election without violence has taken place,
19:35where uses to be a place, when at one point of time, UP Bihar were infamous for electoral violence.
19:41Now they are settled. And in West Bengal, dozens of murders during the polling was used to be
19:47a normal, usual feature. But even in 2018, during Panchayat election, 75 murders, 75 killing.
19:57And this time, not even a single killing. And then it is said that, oh, there is a problem in
20:03that
20:03because of SIR. Yogendra Yadav is making an important point. 27 lakh, Mr. Sudhanshu Trivedi,
20:11Yogendra Yadav is saying, under logical discrepancies, 27 lakh voters, most of them could be genuine.
20:19And many cases, like Babanipur, the margin of defeat of a Mamata Banerji who's just lost Babanipur,
20:25could be actually less than what the total number of people who have been deleted.
20:33I am coming point by point. It was TMC which has gone to court and court has ordered,
20:40even 48 hours before the polling, if somebody comes, their name has to be added. It was on the
20:47request of TMC by the direction of Supreme Court. No decision election commission has taken on its own.
20:53But as far as the 5% difference in other is concerned, Mr. Yogendra Yadav is a much, much better
21:01because the vote of Tranmul is concentrated in certain areas and BJP vote is evenly distributed.
21:07That's why there is a number of seats. I give you one example. In 2024, which seat has got the
21:13biggest
21:13margin in the entire country? It was Dhubri seat of Assam in which Rakibul Hassan of Congress won by
21:1910,25,000 votes. I mean, 10% of the Assam vote was there in victory margin in one seat.
21:25So,
21:25that's why you can say the 5% difference has created a big deal in the change of the seats.
21:32Sir, Yogendra Yadav is not doubting that. He's saying uniform. No, no, first of all,
21:37first of all, the big news, Mamata Banerjee has lost from Babanipur. Remember, the second time that
21:42Suvendu Adhikari in a way has defeated us, last time was Nandigram, this time in Babanipur. But you're not
21:47answering the question. The logical discrepancies 27 lakhs could have affected constituencies like
21:54Babanipur. Should the EC and Supreme Court not explain it or you believe no explanation needed?
22:04Let me complete. Let me complete. The municipal corporation election in Kerala, in Kerala,
22:13it was conducted by state election commission. I challenge, do they have any difference in the
22:19electoral list of the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha, which was prepared by the central election commission
22:24and the municipal corporation, which was prepared by the state election commission? No, not at all.
22:30Now you are trying to make a bogey. This SIR happened in Tamil Nadu, it's happened in Kerala,
22:35it's happened in every state. So it was all, but now I will give you one example. In Bangladesh,
22:41the member of parliament, Akhtar Hussain, just two days back had said in the parliament,
22:46in Bangladeshi parliament, that if BJP wins in West Bengal, there can be an influx of Bangladeshis from
22:52Bengal. This is an candid acceptance that the Bangladeshis were here and they were voting.
22:58There is no if and but about it. Second example, I would like to say, in 2024, election was going
23:04on in India. Why the Congress leaders were writing article in Morning Star, the Bangladeshi newspaper
23:09that the Modi has to go? Rajdeep, can you give any logic? No, no, I cannot give logic at the
23:16moment
23:16to logical discrepancies that were only in West Bengal. No, no, Mr. Dr. Sudhaanshu Trivedi,
23:21with due regard. Logical discrepancies was a category created only in West Bengal. 27 lakh people
23:27were elevated. We still don't even know how many ghuspaitiyas were there actually or not.
23:32All of this is part of the narrative building. I'm sorry to say, I agree with you,
23:37Mamata Banerjee has been hit by a big anti-incumbency. But you have to explain this to me.
23:45Sir, I am asking you about logical discrepancies. Sir, I am logical saying that there are two-thirds
23:54Hindu votes cut, one-third Muslim votes cut. Anybody can refute this logic? Now tell me,
24:01two-thirds Hindu votes cut and one-third Muslim votes cut. And another logic, I would like to say,
24:07in Dhubri you got the maximum victory despite Hemantabishwarma openly said Dhubri is a mini
24:13Bangladesh. So those districts in which the huge demographic change has said, there the victory
24:19margin is huge. Even in Haryana, which was the biggest victory margin, Mamankha who won by 98,000,
24:24more than Mr. Huda. So everywhere all over the country, the victory margin is more in a particular,
24:31precisely Muslim vote bank. So problem is, there is a template of Indian politics which is
24:37going on since 60 years. CDMA, caste divide to Hindus and Muslim appeasement.
24:50Now I think in the 21st century, the things are going away. The new generation, as in Tamil Nadu,
24:57you have seen the decline of Dribadian politics, the new voters are transforming to that regional identity
25:04to separatist identity. These type of things are now gradually getting sidelined in Indian politics.
25:11This is the major picture you have to look logically on. Okay, I'm going to look at that
25:14major picture. I take your last point and I just get Yoginder to respond to that. Yoginder Yadav,
25:19according to Sudhanshu Trivedi, two-thirds, one-thirds. Two-thirds of those who are cut are
25:24Hindus, one-third Muslims. It would have made no difference to the eventual verdict.
25:32Rajdeep, I hope you got an answer to your questions. I did not. The simple things remain as
25:39the following. Sudhanshu Ji said SIR took place in every state, which is correct. But it is only and
25:45only in West Bengal, that after the release of the draft list, additional names were deleted. This
25:53never happened in every single state. In Tamil Nadu, initially 97 lakh names were deleted, which
26:01were brought down to 73 lakhs. And this is a pattern which happened in every other state. Only in Bengal,
26:07initially 58 lakhs were deleted. And then 90, it went to 91 lakhs, only and only in West Bengal. Something
26:16unique happened in West Bengal, where people who had given their enumeration form, who had submitted
26:22their documents, they were deleted. This did not happen anywhere else. And that is why the election
26:28commission was an answer. Sudhanshu Ji said, well, Supreme Court said anyone two days before can come.
26:34Sudhanshu Ji, do you know the figures? Out of 27 lakh people whose names were deleted,
26:41the Appellate Authority could share only 1,600, not even 1 lakh, 1,600 cases were settled. And
26:50incidentally, almost every case that was settled, the Appellate Authority said,
26:54they should be allowed to vote. They are legitimate, genuine voters. And that is why I say that what is
27:02happening is something that owes an answer to the country. And this is something that,
27:07if this becomes a template, if the delimitation of Assam becomes a template, and if SIR of West
27:16Bengal becomes a template, then we can say goodbye to democracy in this country. That is my only point.
27:22Please remember, I am saying... Those are very, very, very strong,
27:24those are very, very strong, serious words. But the fact is, of course, Mamata Banerjee has lost to
27:29Bhabanipur. Ashutosh, you want to respond to that? Because apart from SIR, the truth is there was
27:34anti-incumbency. You look at the map of Bengal, clearly there was a swing away. There's a 6% swing
27:40away, 7% swing away from the Trinamun Congress from 48% to 41%. So 15 years fatigue, anti-incumbency,
27:48charges of corruption, criminality, tola bazi, syndicates, all of which have come to haunt
27:53Mamata Banerjee. So you can't just put it all at SIR's door.
27:58See, Razdi, we all become very intelligent once the event has already happened. And let me start by
28:05saying so, that everything is fair in love and war. In today's world, the election is the war. So
28:12everything is fair. And you just said that Mamata Banerjee has lost. I think we have forgotten.
28:17The toolkit was already working. Naveen Patnaik lost in Odisha. Arvind Kejriwal lost in New Delhi.
28:23And now Mamata Banerjee has lost twice. So there is a toolkit.
28:28What is the toolkit? You know, that's a conspiracy theory. What is the toolkit? They're losing
28:32election. They're losing support. They've all lost. There's a swing away from them in all these
28:37states you mentioned. Naveen Patnaik, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee is somewhat anti-incumbency.
28:43Rajdeep, I did not say there's a conspiracy. I'm only saying there is a toolkit. You can call it
28:48template. Okay, let's use the word template. And let's, first of all, we have to understand,
28:55in my opinion, Assam and Bengal, why Assam and Bengal is very, very important for the BJP are the RSS.
29:01In my opinion, this is not an electoral victory. These are the historic ideological achievement
29:08by the BJP itself. Because in their scheme of things, 35% Muslims in Assam and the 28% Muslim
29:16in Bengal are a problem for the RSS, the problem for the Hindutton. So these two states has to be
29:25one come what may. Either this way or that way. That's what I'm saying. Everything is fair in love
29:30and war and everything is fair in love and election. So you're saying it was not a normal election in
29:36that
29:37sense. Surely that Mamata Banerjee also had strong anti-incumbency against her. But since you
29:42mentioned these states, the political national picture, I want to put a graphic and maybe get
29:47Sudhanshu and all my guests to respond for one final comment. The national picture, the BJP and its
29:52allies are now in power in 21 states of India. Let's put up that graphic. In terms of land area,
29:58that is 72% of
29:59the country. Take a look at those numbers again. The national picture, BJP and its allies in power
30:11in more than 20 states. In terms of land mass, that is in terms of land area, that is 72
30:17% of the country.
30:19In terms of population, NDA is ruling 78% of the population. I'm going to try and put those numbers
30:26on the screen for you, of just how the map of India has transformed. But Sudhanshu Trivedi, to you
30:32first. Is this in a sense, the first step towards a complete opposition Mukt Bharat? When you look at
30:38those pictures from the Rana of Kutch to the Bay of Bengal, right up to Arunachal, BJP all the way.
30:43You couldn't have imagined this one decade ago. Your critics are saying, Sam, Dham, Dandabhed. How do you explain this?
30:55Actually, I will explain. This has happened, started since 2014. Just after the victory of 2014,
31:03when 282 seats we got on our own. Rajna Singh Ji himself told me, at the time he was party
31:09president
31:09also, that there was no celebration in a meeting with Modi Ji that we have got clear majority and
31:17after 30 years, a party has got clear mandate. There was a planning that after 2019 onwards,
31:23in which state BJP can achieve electoral success and we can achieve power. And in that,
31:29Odisha and Bengal were selected. So there is a 12 years planning, consistent effort, sacrifice of our
31:35workers. And if you see, if somebody is saying anything else, sir, in 2011, we were irrelevant
31:42party. 2016, three seats, 10% vote. 2021, 77 seats, 38% vote. So whatever is today's 46.1%
31:51vote is
31:51logical. There is no if and what about it that the trajectory is showing it. But one thing is that
31:58if Yogen Yadavji was having some problem with the template, I would like to. So the template for
32:02Assam and Bengal was very clear. Get the intruders from Bengal, legitimize them, and then succumb to their
32:08aggressive politics and keep on ruling the state for 10-15 years. Now, this template has been
32:18understood. And one more thing I would like to say, in this election, Rajdeep Ji, where was India Alliance?
32:26In Keralam, they were fighting towards each other. Manta Ji, who was against Rahul Gandhi?
32:32Nobody was asking for Rahul Gandhi's program. Tamil Nadu, DMK, was not giving them any sort of
32:38importance. On the other hand, he was there in Great Nicobar. So it's very clear that after this,
32:45India Alliance seems to be withered away. There is no doubt about it. As UPA has, you can say,
32:51evaporated, whatever has happened, Udka tarpad ho gaya, margin ho gaya, kya ho gaya,
32:58the problem with opposition is that they are still sticking to the age-old template of
33:05caste divide in Hindus and Muslim appeasement. And the combination with work, there is no need of
33:11doing anything good. Like, I would like to remind, in 2021 election, the strategist of
33:17Tranmul Congress, Mr. Prachand Kishore said,
33:22So it was an easy politics. This is politics of convenience. That you keep on
33:28plus 30. And we started with minus 30. So BJP has adopted the politics of tough
33:35portion. Those are live pictures meanwhile coming in. You can say hard work and gradual.
33:41As you're speaking, sir, I'm getting live pictures of Suvendu Adhikari who claims he's one,
33:46of course, who is now one from Babanipur. He's there with his certificate claiming victory.
33:51Just listen in for a moment.
33:57Hintu Adhikari ndryan.
34:14Hintu Adhikari,
34:22Kinshari,
34:46The Bengali Hindu, there you've got Suvedu Adhikari
34:50Virtually claiming it was Hindu consolidation
34:52That ensured his victory in Babanipur
34:54A final word from you Ashutosh
34:56On the last point that Sudhanshu made
34:58Where is the India or India alliance now?
35:00This election could well mean the end of the India alliance
35:04Do you agree? A quick response
35:06No, no, Rajdeep
35:08India alliance
35:10I think the myth is busted
35:13What are the normal saying?
35:15That the regional leaders are defeating BJP
35:19And the Congress is nowhere to be seen
35:21The issue today is that
35:23These regional leaders are losing battle
35:25Because they don't know the might of the BJP
35:30To fight BJP
35:33If everybody was fighting in his own burrows
35:35And was refusing to take help from others
35:38And this is also happening
35:40Because none of these leaders
35:42Have any national understanding
35:44And national perspective
35:45You're saying Mamata Banerjee should have gone
35:48You're saying Mamata Banerjee should have gone along with the Congress
35:51For example
35:52No, no, Rajdeep
35:53I'm not getting into that also
35:55Do you remember what Mamata Banerjee has said in 2024 parliament election?
35:59That the Congress will not get more than 40 seats
36:01See
36:02Don't forget it
36:03What Rahul Gandhi has said now
36:05That Mamata Banerjee is opening space for the BJP
36:08To enter into the West Bengal
36:11It was initiated by Mamata Banerjee itself
36:14Why Mamata Banerjee made such a statement?
36:16Was he a member of India
36:17India alliance or not?
36:19If she was
36:19Then she should have
36:20The understanding
36:21That statement like that
36:23Will damage India Gadband
36:24So if India Gadband
36:25If the leaders become so arrogant
36:28So brazen
36:30Without any national understanding
36:32Without any national perspective
36:33Obviously this is going to happen
36:35Now I can cite the name of these
36:38Tejasvi, Yadho, Nameen, Patak, Arbind K.J. Nival
36:40Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Uddhaw, Thakre, MK, Stalin, Akhle, Shahadho, Nitish Kumar
36:44All of them
36:45Okay
36:45Where are they today?
36:47Where are they today?
36:49Nowhere
36:49Okay
36:50I have heard from your final point Sudanshu
36:53Just 30 seconds
36:54Your final point of the day
36:56The biggest takeaway for you
36:57Of this big day for the BJP
36:59Just one line I would say
37:04First
37:04The arrogance was Ashutosh ji
37:06When Rahul Gandhi gave the speech in parliament in 2024
37:09After that
37:10Congress won with a combined effort
37:12Whomsoever leader you have mentioned
37:14He has not given an iota of credit to anybody
37:16Whether Sharad Pawar, Akhleesh, Yadho, Tejasvi, Yadho, Mantab Anerji, Kejriwal
37:20And he said
37:21His zamii se asmaa tak
37:22Mai hi mai hoon
37:23Dousra koi nahi
37:24And the arrogance led to the fall of India alliance
37:26Now
37:26The biggest
37:27Take away
37:28Of this is
37:29Rajdeep ji
37:31That
37:31Ki Raastwad or Vikas ki Ganga
37:34Ab Gangotri se Ganga Sagar tak
37:36Aviral a rahi hai
37:37Or Atal Vihari Bajpaji ji
37:38Nek baaar Mumbai mein bola tha
37:40Andhera chhate ga
37:41Suraj nikale ga
37:42Kamal khilye ga
37:43Suraj puret se nikalta hai
37:45Toh ab purevhi bharat mein dhik gya hai
37:47Ki andhera
37:48Chhata
37:49Suraj nikla hai
37:51Or kamal khilye ga
37:52Or ek point mein aur kehe dhu
37:53Raatib ji
37:54Kishi ko philosophical bhi lag sakta hai
37:56In eastern part of India
37:58There is a strong tradition of shakt tradition
38:00Mata shakt ki puja
38:01Maa ki puja
38:02Toh there are three main shakti peaks in eastern India
38:05That is
38:06Tripura ki Tripura ki Tripura sundari
38:07Asam ki Kamakchya devi
38:09Or Kolkata ki Kali maa
38:11Toh maa Tripura sundari ka
38:12Dho bara achir waad mila
38:13Or maa Kamakchya ka
38:14Tien baar
38:15Or maa Kali ka
38:16Pichli baar
38:17Aadha achir waad mila
38:18Tha
38:18This baat
38:18Pura achir waad mila
38:19Toh ab
38:20Raashtra waad ki
38:21Shakti jagrat honne se
38:23Koi rok nahin sakta
38:24Okay
38:25On that note
38:26The fact that you claim
38:28That you are now
38:29From west to east
38:30India's party number one
38:31Is undisputed
38:32We can question
38:34Some of the means
38:34That have been adopted
38:35To get there
38:36But that is a separate debate
38:38For now
38:38Sudhanshu Trivedi
38:39And Ashutosh
38:40And Yogendra Yadav
38:42And Pradeep Gupta
38:42For joining me
38:43Thank you very much
38:44I want to turn
38:45From west Bengal
38:46Where you have seen
38:47That big defeat
38:48For Mamata Banerjee
38:49And the big win
38:50For the BJP
38:51To what has happened
38:52Now in the state
38:53Of Tamil Nadu
38:55Because we now
38:56Have a situation
38:57Of a hung assembly
38:59In Tamil Nadu
39:00So we have to look
39:01For roots to power
39:02Remember
39:03As you can see
39:04TBK
39:05BJS party
39:06107
39:07AI DMK 53
39:08DMK 74
39:09Halfway mark
39:10Is 117
39:12How do you get
39:13To that majority
39:14118
39:14Root to power
39:15Scenario one
39:16TBK 106
39:18And ADMK tie up
39:19Total 153
39:20Very comfortable
39:21Scenario two
39:22TBK
39:23Congress with five
39:24IUML
39:25CPM tie up
39:26CPI tie up
39:27Total 120
39:28You can form a government
39:30Joining me now
39:31To understand that
39:32Because the Congress
39:33Appears to be
39:34Engaging in back channel
39:36With Vijay
39:37We were told
39:37It was happening
39:38Before the elections
39:39Those efforts
39:40Are still on
39:41Joining me now
39:41Manikam Tagore
39:42Lok Sabha MP
39:43Who is one of the proponents
39:45Of joining hands with Vijay
39:47In hindsight
39:48Was that a big missed opportunity
39:50You could have tied up
39:51You were among those
39:52Who said
39:53Let's tie up with Vijay
39:54We don't want to be
39:55With the BJP
39:56Sorry
39:57With the DMK
39:58Do you regret it?
40:01Thank you Rajdeep
40:02And
40:04The Congress party
40:05Has decided
40:06Congress president
40:07Has decided it
40:08Therefore
40:08Whatever our opinions
40:09Before the election
40:10Before the decision
40:11Being taken
40:12We can express it
40:14In the party
40:14And when
40:15Decision is taken
40:16We all
40:17Abide by it
40:18And we have moved on it
40:19And now the results
40:20Are in our place
40:20And now
40:21We have to
40:23Decide about
40:24The future of the party
40:25As well as
40:25Tamil Nadu
40:26Also
40:26Tamil Nadu
40:27Is in the
40:28Vote
40:29Completely
40:30First time
40:30After long years
40:31There is a fractured
40:32Mandate in Tamil Nadu
40:33But there is a
40:35There is a direction
40:37On which people
40:37Have voted
40:38So what would you want
40:39Let's cut the chase
40:40What does Manikam Tagor
40:42Think
40:42What should happen
40:43Do you think
40:44You all should reach out
40:45To Vijay
40:45And offer him support
40:47I want that
40:48BJP should not
40:49Enter into Tamil Nadu
40:50In the back door
40:52Slightly
40:52When we see
40:53Because ADMK
40:54Is being controlled
40:55By BJP
40:57BJP controls
40:58Completely
40:59Therefore only
41:00That space
41:00Has been vacated
41:02By those
41:02Spaces
41:03Whichever
41:03They are vacating
41:04Has been occupied
41:04By Mr. Vijay
41:06And we
41:07At any cost
41:08The secular forces
41:09Should unite
41:09And should stop
41:10The hate politics
41:12Be entering
41:12Through the back door
41:14Of ADMK
41:15Which has already
41:16Surrendered to
41:17Mr. Amisha and Modi
41:18And we should
41:19At any cost
41:20Stop them
41:21From entering
41:21Into Tamil Nadu
41:22So what you are
41:23Saying that
41:24To stop the BJP
41:25Which you say
41:26The AIDMK
41:27Is a proxy of
41:28You are open
41:30Or you would like
41:31The congress
41:31To reach out
41:32To Vijay
41:33And try and form
41:34A coalition
41:35To keep the BJP
41:36Out
41:36Am I clear
41:39The first thing
41:40I am telling
41:40To you
41:40Is that
41:42That report
41:43Has to be given
41:44To congress
41:44Leadership
41:45By the
41:45Congress in charge
41:46Congress in charge
41:47Is Mr. Girish Chodalgar
41:49Already he has
41:50Made a statement
41:50That he has
41:51Sent a report
41:51To the congress
41:52Leadership
41:52Therefore I can't
41:53Comment on what
41:54The congress
41:54President has
41:55To decide
41:55I can only
41:56Say that
41:57I am not asking
41:59You to comment
41:59On congress
41:59What would you
42:00Like
42:00Would you like
42:01An alliance
42:02With Vijay
42:03Do you believe
42:03That is
42:05You are going
42:05To give up
42:06On the DMK
42:07Your long term
42:08Partner
42:09Only because
42:09Vijay has had
42:10This first day
42:11First show
42:11Blockbuster
42:14For that only
42:15I am explaining
42:16That we have
42:18To the secular
42:18Forces
42:19Because the
42:19Elections are
42:20Just getting
42:21Not even
42:22The whole
42:23Process is
42:23Completed
42:24I feel that
42:25The progressive
42:25Forces
42:26The secular
42:27Forces
42:27Should
42:27The left
42:28Parties
42:28The congress
42:29Party
42:29And other
42:30Parties
42:30Who stood
42:31For this
42:31Ideological
42:33Battle
42:33Against the
42:34BJP
42:34Should sit
42:35Together
42:36And think
42:36Through
42:37Because we
42:37Need to stop
42:38The BJP
42:39At any cost
42:39Our main
42:40Target is
42:41Because we
42:43Came together
42:44To stop
42:45BJP
42:45Now in
42:46Tamil Nadu
42:47Also there is
42:47A backdoor
42:48Entry for
42:48The BJP
42:49We should
42:49Not allow
42:50That only I
42:50Can say
42:51All other
42:52Things congress
42:52Leadership
42:53Has to
42:53Take
42:53One last
42:54Question
42:55What explains
42:56The BJP
42:57Phenomenon
42:57According to
42:58You
42:58The first
42:59Time we have
42:59Seen the
42:59Duopoly
43:00Of the
43:01Two Dravidah
43:02Parties
43:03Breaking
43:03After 50
43:0460 years
43:05What explains
43:06It
43:07One is
43:07The ADMK
43:08Leadership
43:09Getting
43:09Weakened
43:10And the
43:11Way
43:11And Mr.
43:12Amisha
43:12Treats
43:13The ADMK
43:14One
43:14Second
43:15Is the
43:15Shift
43:15Of ADMK
43:16Votes
43:16And those
43:17Votes
43:18From the
43:18Secular
43:18Votes
43:19Also
43:19Has shifted
43:19To Mr.
43:20Vijay
43:20And the
43:21Youth
43:21And women
43:22Voters
43:23Has shifted
43:23In every
43:24Level
43:24The election
43:25Is below
43:2645
43:26Below
43:2745
43:28Voted
43:28In a
43:28Different
43:29Direction
43:29Above
43:3045
43:30Voted
43:30In a
43:31Different
43:31Direction
43:31The election
43:32Was coming
43:32Eight months
43:33Before itself
43:34We were able
43:34To see it
43:35In the
43:35Ground
43:36When Mr.
43:37Amisha
43:37Forged
43:38The removal
43:39Of
43:40When Mr.
43:42Polanisami's
43:42Alliance
43:42Was sealed
43:43In Chennai
43:44In March
43:45Of previous
43:46Year
43:46It was
43:47Coming
43:47This was
43:48Coming
43:48In the
43:49Ground
43:49And people
43:49Were prepared
43:50Youth
43:51And women
43:51Were getting
43:52Consolidated
43:53For a
43:53Change
43:53And hope
43:54Okay
43:55I'm going
43:55To leave
43:55It there
43:56Manikam
43:56Tagore
43:56You've
43:57Given
43:57Enough
43:57Hints
43:58To suggest
43:58That you
43:59Would like
43:59To see
43:59An alliance
44:00With Vijay
44:01Maybe
44:01This could
44:01Be the
44:02Congress's
44:02Moment
44:02To have
44:03Even more
44:04Southern
44:04Comfort
44:05Because guess
44:05What
44:05Today we
44:06Saw a
44:07Clear
44:07Mandate
44:08In Kerala
44:08The biggest
44:09Victory
44:09That the
44:10Congress
44:10Has achieved
44:11In years
44:11Because the
44:12Congress
44:13The United
44:13Democratic
44:14Front
44:14Led by the
44:15Congress
44:15Secured a
44:16Decisive
44:16Victory
44:17In Kerala
44:18For the
44:18Bharatya
44:19Janda
44:19Party
44:20Too
44:20There was
44:20A
44:20Breakthrough
44:21The BJP
44:21Has won
44:22Three seats
44:22In Kerala
44:23It's best
44:24Ever
44:24Performance
44:25In the
44:25State
44:25140
44:26Seats
44:27Who
44:27Was decimated
44:28The left
44:28With the
44:29Result
44:29That for
44:29The first
44:30Time in
44:30This
44:30Country
44:31In
44:31Decades
44:31We
44:32Will
44:32Have

46:45It
46:46Appears
46:46That
46:46The

46:53Finds
46:54It
47:15Dr.
47:15Tharoor
47:19Not
47:20Really
47:20Because
47:21We
47:21Have

47:23In
47:23Madhya

47:25And

47:48Be
47:49A
47:49Warning
47:49To
47:49The
47:49BJP
47:50Because
47:50In
47:50The

47:53Before
47:53They

47:53The

47:54Again
47:54And
47:55The
47:55Electorate
47:55May
47:56Show
47:57Precisely
47:57The
47:57Lack
47:57Of
47:58Tolerance
47:58For
47:58The
47:58Incumbents
47:59Then
47:59As
48:00They
48:00Have
48:00Just
48:00Showed
48:00In
48:01Bengal
48:01So
48:01I
48:02Not
48:02Sure
48:02We

48:04Surrendering
48:05The

48:05To

48:16Elsewhere
48:17Too
48:17If
48:17I
48:17Were
48:17The

48:20Feeling
48:20Secure
48:21And
48:21Comfortable
48:22They
48:22Have
48:23Taken
48:23Advantage
48:24Of
48:24Anti-Incumbency
48:25In
48:25Bengal
48:25But
48:26They
48:26Will
48:26Have
48:27Anti-Incumbency
48:28Against
48:28Them
48:29In
48:29The
48:29Center
48:30When
48:30The
48:30Time
48:31Comes

48:34Not

48:36There
48:37Is

48:37That
48:37With
48:37Every
