01:01And he carve out an opportunity.
01:03Just has done.
01:05It's all square at Easter Road.
01:08The man who created the equaliser rolls it back.
01:11Blair Spittle strikes.
01:14And how important will this prove to be in this most dramatic of title races?
01:22Last week here at Easter Road, Hibs suffered a painful defeat against Hearts.
01:27The whole storyline though ahead of today's match here at Easter Road between Hibs and Celtic
01:32is this notion that some Hibs fans would actually like to see their side lose
01:36and it helps hinder Hearts win the league title.
01:39But is that actually the case?
01:41There are some that are a bit, you know, we want, wouldn't it be too bad if Hibs lost today,
01:46but no, it's going to be a win for Hibs regardless.
01:49If we win today and Rangers beat Hearts, then all square anyway.
01:53So we just need to win.
01:55I think personally we're in for fourth, get a win and then just focus on ourselves
02:00and don't worry about those jambles.
02:02I think as a Hibs fan, life would be unbearable if Hearts were to in the league
02:06and I'm talking about for many, many years to come, not just short term but long term,
02:09but never here at the end of it.
02:11So I think today a Celtic victory is imperative, as much as it pains me to say.
02:14We need to win today, you know, to keep that so-called fifth place for Europe hopefully.
02:18So, yeah, there's a lot of guys wishing that I'd go the other way today.
02:23Couldn't care what Hearts do, it's what Hibs do.
02:25Anyone that wants to see their team lose is not a fan.
02:28I couldn't love it, Hearts won in the league.
02:30There's no chance I could love it, Hearts won in the league.
02:32If Hearts won, we'll just leave the country.
02:40Scotland's capital takes centre stage.
02:43Two games that will go a long way to deciding the Premiership title's destination.
02:48Hearts face Rangers tomorrow, with the latter drinking in the last chance saloon.
02:53But before all that in Gorgie, defending champion Celtic stare down the leader's neighbours,
02:59knowing any slip-up could be fatal to their hopes of a 14th championship in 15 seasons.
03:05Perhaps their target's more modest as they chase Europe,
03:09with Falkirk's win over Motherwell, applying plenty of pressure on that particular ambition,
03:15with those two going head-to-head in Falkirk next weekend.
03:20Salinger and Paslak are suspended following their respective moments of madness in the derby last Sunday,
03:27with Smith and Megua replacing them.
03:30Obita and Barlazar also drop out, so Iredale and Captain Newell come into the side.
03:35It's just Newell's second start in the league this season.
03:38His only other one was in the 0-0 draw with Rangers three months ago.
03:44Can Hibbs help themselves and their rivals today,
03:47as they look to beat Celtic in back-to-back league games in the same season,
03:51for the first time in 75 years?
03:54Alistair Johnston, so pivotal to Celtic since his arrival after the 2022 World Cup Finals,
04:00starts in the league for the first time since the 10th of August,
04:03with hamstring problems wreaking havoc on his season.
04:06He's in for Ralston, with Kinecti replacing Forrest from the side that started last week's win over Falkirk.
04:15Another massive afternoon for Martin O'Neill and Sean Naloney in court.
04:20Three points adrift.
04:23They simply have to win.
04:26David Gray's team are excellent, despite finishing the game with nine last week,
04:30and despite defeat.
04:33Well, season 1950-51 was the last time Hibbs won successive league games
04:38in the same campaign against Celtic.
04:40And if they can do that today, they will provide a massive boost for Hatham and Lothian
04:45in their quest to make history.
04:47A Celtic win, and they go level on points at the top.
04:50They would need a five-goal victory to go top outright,
04:53but they know any slip-up.
04:55And everything will be out of their hands.
05:02I'm sure there are many Hibbs supporters who are conflicted about the outcome of this game.
05:13They want to capitalise on Motherwell's defeat.
05:17Well, the players
05:19try and
05:20stay well clear of Falkirk if they can.
05:28Family done by Jordan Smith.
05:32Not so much there, though.
05:33Oh, here is Yang.
05:35First opening for Celtic.
05:36Negren!
05:39A whole heap of Hibbs bodies in the way.
05:41Busceery, I think, made the last block.
05:46A little bit slack by Hibbs over on that far side.
05:50Cadden short with the ball back to Airedale.
05:52Yang took over.
05:53Negren was waiting.
05:54And it was Busceery.
05:59First sight of goal for either team.
06:05Tierney.
06:07I'm sure that ball was aimed for Negren.
06:10Tenechdi's touches.
06:12And all thoughts of an attack there.
06:18McGregor over the top.
06:20Maida.
06:21Dies in.
06:22Maida!
06:23And he's fluffed it.
06:28He's on there.
06:29Looks like Megla
06:30is clearly playing him onside.
06:32This is a huge chance for Maida.
06:34He could have taken another couple of touches there, you feel.
06:37Well, the first one wasn't great, which is why you took it.
06:42Shoot early, perhaps.
06:57Negren protests.
07:02Seemed that.
07:03The obvious foul.
07:06On Huel.
07:08This is a bit further back,
07:10but we saw Jamie McGrath
07:11on a pre-kick early in the derby last week,
07:14set up Martin Boyle for the opener.
07:18He and Cannon over this,
07:19and more than capable of causing havoc.
07:25The floated end's half away.
07:27Mule keeps it alive.
07:29It's Boyle.
07:31Maida hits it.
07:33Half clear in Cannon.
07:34A wild swipe at it.
07:45That's clever from trusty Yang.
07:48Maida's going after it.
07:50He's gone down.
07:54Negren.
07:56It's a second bite at it.
08:01Back to McGregor.
08:04Celtic wrapping on the door here.
08:06Eventually,
08:09they've got themselves a free kick.
08:13Must have been a moment there when Quendi inside the stadium thought Maida might be getting a penalty.
08:20This is the free kick that David Dickinson has spotted.
08:25This was the chance for Maida.
08:28We know he's so quick,
08:29but it looks like Jordan Smith's done just enough.
08:38And all went back by Echols.
08:40Here's Tenekti.
08:41He's got to offer down here.
08:46Chaiwa sticking to him.
08:48Tierney.
08:51Monkrasiri.
08:56Josh that caught.
08:57That's a bad one.
08:59Just back from injury.
09:02I don't think Jamie McGrath can complain about the yellow card that's just been administered.
09:10I'm going to look at a possible upgrading of the yellow here.
09:17Don Robertson and Duncan Nicholson clearly feel this is a red card offence.
09:24Nine times out of ten.
09:26The ref, having looked at the replays, will agree with the VAR team.
09:32And Tabernian are about to go down to ten men yet again.
09:37Hanley at Petaudry.
09:39Salinger in the first half last week.
09:41McGrath in the first half this week.
09:44And that's a real bonus for Celtic, that.
09:49McGrath ordered off.
09:52And Hibbs down to ten again.
09:55Of course, finished with nine last week.
09:58And Felix Paslak also went off after a second yellow.
10:02They're getting used to this.
10:10Let's come through for Dyson Maida.
10:12And he's got the first touch.
10:14He's in!
10:15It's wide!
10:20He's managed to get a goal side twice.
10:23First one went well over.
10:25It's a brilliant run.
10:26It's another fabulous pass.
10:29Maida could not hit target.
10:32Hasn't been the same player this season.
10:35Despite his relative return to form.
10:39How important is that going to be?
10:44Hibbs were absolutely resolute a week ago against Hearts, despite being down in numbers.
10:54It's a lovely ball!
10:57And it's a goal kick off Yang.
11:03There are many former professionals who think that the winger driving to the byline is a lost start.
11:10Great play by Tenekte.
11:12It's a lovely way to pass as well.
11:16Dicked it across the face of goals.
11:18So tempting.
11:2127 minutes on the clock.
11:23At the moment it's looking like Zeldig are going to have to be patient.
11:27For now.
11:32Johnston.
11:34Tenekte.
11:36And Negrin!
11:39Maida on the follow-up.
11:40But it's well dealt with by Jack Iredale.
11:43It's a good save by Jordan Smith.
11:46Just a save and to get it away from danger.
11:49But Maida was very interested in the follow-up.
12:00Here's Yang.
12:04Johnston.
12:08He's going to want it back here.
12:10It's Johnston and Maida!
12:15The celebrations
12:16are short-lived.
12:19For now at least.
12:22Douglas Ross is the flag up.
12:25Let's have a look at this.
12:29Luke's offside.
12:31Might remember
12:32those two combining
12:34here last season.
12:38He'll
12:39fall over the line.
12:42Debate
12:43went on for weeks.
12:47And the goal's been given.
12:51Johnston
12:52fractionally
12:53ahead of
12:54Dyson Maida.
12:56And Celtic
12:58have
12:58a massive lead.
13:02and the impact
13:04of Johnston
13:06just reminds
13:07everyone of a Celtic
13:08persuasion
13:09how much they've
13:10missed him.
13:12It's so
13:13tight.
13:14But Maida's
13:1512th goal of the season
13:17breaks the Hibs
13:18resistance.
13:19And now
13:20Celtic
13:21will look to
13:22begin the process
13:23of eating into
13:24Hart's goal difference
13:25advantage.
13:29First time
13:30Hibs have been
13:30up the pitch
13:31since the red card
13:32really.
13:33Clear
13:34filled by
13:34Tenechdes.
13:37Adamant
13:38it wasn't.
13:40Team's pretty
13:41cut and dry.
13:44In from Cadence
13:45and Isalo
13:46commits.
13:50Chaiwa.
13:55Back
13:56here comes
13:57to Cadden.
13:59Boyle was there.
14:00Back across
14:01his own goal
14:01and John
14:02Yule
14:03pokes it
14:03home!
14:08Well Celtic
14:09have made
14:09an absolute
14:10hash of that.
14:12And
14:13captain
14:14John
14:14Yule
14:16in just
14:16his second
14:17league
14:17start of
14:18the season.
14:22What's that?
14:23Van Valde
14:24looking at
14:25now against
14:25Newells.
14:29Hibs fans
14:29boo.
14:30They'll feel
14:31that the
14:32officials are
14:32doing everything
14:33they can to
14:33rule this
14:34goal out.
14:34But when you
14:35see that
14:36there,
14:37Joe Newell's
14:38right arm
14:42is what's
14:43under the
14:43microscope
14:43now.
14:46Goal
14:47given.
14:49Hibs
14:50level.
14:55Yet another
14:56big moment
14:57in this
14:57Scottish football
14:58season.
15:04Tierney.
15:27held on to by
15:28Smith.
15:30There's not that much
15:31to do in this second half.
15:32too many efforts
15:34on target in the first
15:35either.
15:40Lider's looking to get on his bike again here.
15:42Iheanacho's waiting in the middle.
15:44This time it's Iredale.
15:55all eyes on Arne Engels.
15:57All eyes on Arne Engels.
16:01The back post and Smith
16:03used to tip it over.
16:04Wasn't sure
16:06where that was dipping.
16:18Tierney on the main stand side.
16:35Tierney on the main stand side.
16:41Iheanacho within a couple of minutes of coming on.
16:46Give Celtic their lead back and it is a precious lead.
16:53And Hibernian for the second week running
16:56have manfully battled
16:59at least one man down.
17:06And they're going to have to try and come from behind again.
17:10The Nigeria international salutes the away supporters.
17:27Scarlett.
17:29He's capable.
17:32Still waiting for his first head goal.
17:49He's going to have
17:53incredible repercussions.
17:57Good play by Chaiwa.
17:59Stabbed clear.
18:04A little bit weak for Iheanacho there.
18:06He's a little beat at.
18:07He's the 10th
18:10men
18:11you're asking the question now.
18:16Tierney
18:17prevent the corner.
18:23Ohara.
18:28Trusty couldn't get me.
18:29Oh, it's wide.
18:31Chuto.
18:36Was that the chance for Hebs?
18:40He's rippled the side net.
18:44Celtic breathed a massive sigh of relief.
18:55Trusty awaits with Iheanacho.
19:00Forrest.
19:02Cowan's touch takes it wide.
19:04Chai was on to it.
19:06And Hebs get this up the park.
19:09It's two points free to Falkirk now in fifth.
19:12But that's it!
19:15And it's over to you, Hearts and Rangers!
19:19Because Celtic have gone over the line again.
19:24They've done their bit.
19:28They've just gone level top with Hearts again.
19:30Trailing only on goal difference.
19:33A goal difference of four goals.
19:37Helecci and Iheanacho settles it.
19:40As O'Neal celebrates.
19:43But they were made to work by the 10 men.
19:47David Gray will be hoping he can keep 11 on the pitch
19:50when they go to Falkirk next week.
19:55And what was a difficult afternoon for Hiperni and their fans
19:58were conflicted about the outcome.
20:04And now, perversely, Celtic may be roaring on their city rivals tomorrow
20:10when Rangers go to Tynecastle Park
20:13in an almighty battle!
20:16In this almighty title battle!
20:20Maida opened the scoring, cancelled out by Joe Newell's
20:23controversial goal just before the break.
20:26But Iheanacho, the biggest say of all.
20:28It finishes in leave.
20:30Hibernian 1, Celtic 2.
20:34I thought that we started off very brightly
20:37with a couple of really great chances.
20:39couldn't take them
20:41and get a goal in front.
20:42A man sent off for Hibs.
20:44They had a couple of sent off last week.
20:46And you think 11 v 10
20:48we should be reasonably comfortable.
20:50We can see it a really, really poor goal
20:51from our viewpoint just before half-time.
20:54And it changes the complexion of the game.
20:57Hibs having something to hold on to as well
20:59to defend it very, very strongly
21:02as they did last week with nine men.
21:05So, knew it was going to be difficult.
21:06Well, Iheanacho comes off the bench
21:08and wins the game for us.
21:10But in a game that you thought
21:13that we were reasonably comfortable in,
21:15it was an edgy ending.
21:16I think the most important thing
21:17was to stay in the game.
21:18I think that's something we've done
21:20in the last three games now.
21:23You have to try and stay in the game
21:25and then you have to try and take these opportunities
21:27when they do come.
21:28We changed the shape at half-time.
21:30Not just because of the goal,
21:31that would probably have happened anyway.
21:32But you want to try and stay in the game
21:34as long as you can.
21:35If the players give everything,
21:36which they do, and they did today,
21:38putting their bodies on the line
21:39to try and make sure that you stay in the game
21:41the last ten minutes,
21:42then you can go and have a real goal.
21:43And we haven't the right to go and do that today.
21:45We had a real goal at the end
21:47and we had a big chance.
21:48And when you get the chances,
21:49there might only be one, maybe two in the game.
21:52You need to take them.
21:54I've just been asked the question there,
21:55what do I want for tomorrow as a result of tomorrow?
21:57My next question.
21:59Is it? Was it?
21:59All right, OK.
22:00So the answer is I honestly genuinely don't know
22:02at the end of all.
22:03We've won today.
22:05And that's, you know,
22:06so there's a bit of relief for at least 24 hours.
22:10In a sense, though, you will watch a game tomorrow.
22:13I'm not sure if you'll be kicking every ball
22:15and for what team you'll be kicking every ball.
22:17I genuinely don't know, really.
22:18I know that even if we win the three games at this minute,
22:23our goal difference wouldn't be strong enough.
22:26Therefore, even winning the three games
22:29doesn't guarantee you winning.
22:31Tonight, the William Hill Premiership table looks like this.
22:34Celtic have drawn level with Hearts on 73 points.
22:38Hearts do have a better goal difference of plus four.
22:41They, of course, play Rangers tomorrow at Tynecastle.
22:44Rangers in third place with 69 points.
22:47I'm joined here at Easter Road
22:49by the former Hibs and Celtic midfielder Scott Allen.
22:53And Scott, Celtic get the job done.
22:55Was it the performance for you of potential champions?
23:00Yeah, I think for me,
23:02it wasn't a convincing performance.
23:04I think obviously Hibs going down to 10 men
23:05does affect the game.
23:07But at the same time,
23:08in and actual again,
23:09comes off the bench and obviously rescues it.
23:10It was a time when the game was quite flat.
23:12Celtic weren't getting the runners beyond
23:14and it takes his quality
23:15to come on and get the goal
23:17and get the three points.
23:18And at this stage of the season,
23:19it doesn't have to be convincing.
23:20It's all about winning
23:20and not need a big win next weekend for Celtic.
23:23It did feel like it took about half an hour
23:24for that ball to drop out of the air
23:26for Ian Accio to finish it.
23:28Could he be the game changer, do you feel,
23:30if Celtic are to go on and clinch the title?
23:33I think for me,
23:34I definitely think Celtic are a far better attacking force
23:37when he's on the pitch.
23:37He's the one player
23:38and around that penalty box
23:40he's got real instinctive finishing
23:41and he showed that.
23:42Comes off the bench against Dundeen
23:43and that one you see today,
23:44he's so composed,
23:45waits for it,
23:46gets the finish away.
23:47At the same time,
23:47Hibs will be really disappointed
23:48with the marking from the set piece.
23:50He's just,
23:50he don't leave someone
23:51with that sort of finishing ability
23:53in the box unmarked.
23:56Comes down and he slots it away
23:57and he is the hero of the day for Celtic.
23:59So Celtic get the job done
24:00and that was a crucial three points obviously.
24:03This was a match loaded with controversy
24:05or certainly with a fair dollop of it
24:07and I think we all thought
24:09that this is how it's going to be
24:10for this tail end of the season.
24:12Everything's going to be poured over microscopically
24:15with this Joe Newell goal.
24:17I mean,
24:17in the final shakedown,
24:19not quite as crucial
24:20as we thought it was going to be
24:21but let's cut to the chase.
24:23Does it strike his hand?
24:25Can you categorically say
24:26that the picture show
24:27that it strikes his arm?
24:29Well,
24:29I think,
24:29I'll go with my opinion,
24:30in my opinion
24:31that it does come off his arm
24:32and that then for me
24:33means the goal should be disallowed
24:35but the VAR and the referee
24:36then came to
24:37the conclusion
24:38that they can't be conclusive with it
24:40so they can't change
24:41the on-field decision
24:42which was allowing it to be a goal
24:43but for me
24:44it's a handball
24:46and Joe Newell got away with one there.
24:48Did Joe Newell look a bit sheepish
24:49would you say
24:50when he eventually celebrated?
24:52He has that look sometimes though
24:54Joe,
24:55to be fair.
24:56I think,
24:56obviously,
24:57he's the captain today
24:58coming back in
24:58for his first start in a while
25:00and he manages to get a goal
25:01but I did think
25:02he'd that wee glimmer in his eye
25:03when he knew
25:03he's just got away with one.
25:05I guess it could have been
25:05a completely different day today, Scott
25:08had Hibbs managed to keep
25:1011 players on the pitch.
25:11I mean,
25:11no question in your mind
25:13that it was the right decision
25:13to send off Jamie McGrath?
25:14Yeah,
25:15obviously he thinks
25:16they can go and win the ball
25:17and it's actually quite high
25:18on Alistair Johnson's legs.
25:20He's late.
25:21It's one of the tackles
25:22you associate with
25:23attacking players
25:25and listen,
25:26David Gray will be pulling
25:27his hair out
25:28because that's now
25:28the third week in a row
25:29where they went down to
25:3110 men so early on
25:32in the game
25:32and it then becomes
25:33an uphill task
25:34to try and get real
25:35foothold in the game
25:36and ultimately
25:37they've paid the price
25:37for that again today.
25:38It shouldn't be forgotten
25:39either that Celtic have
25:40suffered real injury blows
25:42this season.
25:43Fantastic for them to see
25:44Alistair Johnston back
25:45in the side starting
25:46and he would get the assist
25:48for the Dyson Maeda goal.
25:50There was a slight hint
25:51of controversy about that
25:52as well in terms of
25:52the offside.
25:53They obviously poured over it
25:54but thankfully the grass
25:55was cut in such a way
25:56that it was pretty simple
25:57to work out in the end.
25:58Yeah,
25:59I didn't think there had to be
25:59much controversy over it.
26:01I think once you've seen it
26:01you could see that Maeda
26:02was clearly onside
26:03but touch on Alistair Johnston there
26:05I think it's just
26:06Celtic fans will be absolutely
26:07delighted to see him back
26:08in the starting line-up.
26:09You see the quality he has
26:10for the little goal.
26:11Lovely one-two
26:11looking to get beyond
26:12and then having the
26:13presence of mine
26:14to pick out his team-mate
26:15and it's obviously Maeda
26:16now backscoring goals
26:17in the six-yard box
26:18and that gave Celtic
26:19a good start in the game.
26:21Since we're on controversy
26:22where do you stand
26:23on the Josh Campbell
26:24shove on Benjamin Neugren?
26:26again another situation
26:27but I think Josh has got away
26:28with one.
26:30I think he then panics
26:31thinking that Neugren's
26:32going to get round the back
26:32of him.
26:33He then gets his two-hand
26:34it's a clear push for me
26:35and that should have been
26:38one that should have
26:39went to VAR for me.
26:40Yeah,
26:40interesting.
26:42In terms of Hibs
26:43it is another defeat.
26:45Next weekend
26:45they play
26:46Falkirk
26:47at the Falkirk Stadium
26:48chance for Falkirk
26:48to leapfrog Hibs
26:50in the table.
26:51How do you stress things
26:53right now
26:53for a Bernie
26:54because this was
26:55the third defeat in a row?
26:56I think first and foremost
26:58to go to Falkirk Stadium
26:59we're going to have to have
27:0011 players on the part
27:01they can't keep doing
27:02this week in, week out
27:03and there's no getting away
27:04from it.
27:05David Gaines,
27:05coach and staff
27:06will be wondering
27:07why this keeps happening.
27:09At the same time
27:10they've got players
27:10who have missed today
27:11who will be back
27:11for next week
27:12but Jamie McGrath
27:13is Hibs main creative force
27:14not going to the Falkirk
27:16Stadium with him
27:17it takes a wee edge
27:18away from him
27:19for me
27:19but it's such a big game
27:20for Hibs
27:20that Falkirk
27:21where to win the game
27:22they go a point clear
27:22and it's all the motivation
27:25that Falkirk
27:25and John McGlynn
27:26will need
27:26they played there
27:27earlier in the season
27:28and Falkirk
27:28dismantled them
27:29in that case
27:30so Hibs have to get
27:31a performance
27:31but have to keep
27:3211 players on the pitch.
27:33It's the Scottish football season
27:35that keeps on giving
27:36and we think forward
27:38now to tomorrow night
27:39obviously Hearts
27:40at home
27:41to Rangers
27:42and I guess this does
27:44put pressure on both sides
27:45with Celtic winning
27:46again.
27:48Firstly
27:49what is your prediction
27:51for Tank Castle?
27:51I know it's asking
27:52the impossible
27:53with these matches
27:53it feels like right now.
27:55Well my guess
27:56because I've gone on
27:57with these predictions
27:58for the last couple of weeks
27:59it's so difficult
28:01to see how this one's
28:01going to play out.
28:03I think for me
28:04I think Hearts
28:05go in as favourites
28:05home team
28:06I think they know themselves
28:08if they were to win tomorrow night
28:09get three points
28:10I think that would be
28:10the end of Rangers
28:11title challenge for me
28:12at the same time
28:13Rangers have to play better
28:14they have to start the game
28:15better than they did
28:16against Motherwell
28:16but I just feel that
28:18backing at Tyne Castle
28:18and off the back
28:20of a Derby win
28:21against Hibbs last week
28:22Hearts go into the game
28:23as favourites
28:23and they'll win.
28:24It's going to be
28:24an incredible atmosphere
28:25at Tyne Castle
28:26tomorrow.
28:27If Hearts do get the victory
28:29tomorrow Scott
28:30do you feel like
28:30that is Rangers
28:31out of the title race?
28:32Yeah
28:33for me
28:33Rangers are just
28:34running out of time
28:35I think that
28:36that performance
28:37last week
28:37and the result
28:38most importantly
28:38really harmed their chances
28:40of winning the title
28:41so I think
28:42they know
28:42after seeing Celtic
28:43get three points
28:44here today
28:44they know
28:45they have to win
28:46the game
28:46if they were to get beat
28:47then they're out of it
28:48for me.
28:49Scott for the moment
28:50thank you very much
28:51indeed
28:51Hibbs certainly
28:52didn't lie down
28:53to Celtic today
28:54here at East Road
28:55time for you to
28:55lie back
28:56and enjoy now
28:57the best
28:58of the Saturday action.
29:11Horrible
29:12horrible ball
29:12to defend
29:14and Robbie Dees
29:15says
29:16well you can't
29:16defend it
29:17it's his second goal
29:19against Dundee United
29:20this season
29:20he's scored
29:21Achilles win
29:22at Tanadice
29:23and with a high put up
29:25with nobody around him
29:26flips the ball
29:27into the net
29:34Waters
29:35around the corner
29:36it goes
29:37not for Asia
29:40that's Greg Kilty
29:41there's a little bit
29:42of space there
29:42for Sapsford
29:45that's great
29:45striking play
29:47he saw the angle
29:48at which the ball
29:49was going to come back
29:50he got himself
29:51into a really good
29:52position
29:52two goals
29:54in his last three
29:55disappointed
29:56he skied it
30:04determined ball
30:05forward
30:08Anderson
30:08has played it
30:09off
30:09and here's the chance
30:11Kilmarnock
30:11brilliant finish
30:16Finlay Curtis
30:17let loose
30:18coming forward
30:19and boy
30:20has he made
30:21an impact
30:21in the second half
30:26he spent the first half
30:27in defence
30:28the second half
30:29a much more
30:29natural position
30:30and this is a really
30:32calm and controlled
30:33finish
30:34to get it past
30:35Dave Richards
30:41Kilmarnock
30:41with the main striker
30:42chases through
30:43that short
30:43and that's it
30:46Sam Cleel Harding
30:47couldn't find a way
30:48back to his goalkeeper
30:49Edsor Hugo
30:50nips in
30:51he scores in three
30:53successive top
30:54flight home games
30:55for Kilmarnock
30:57Kilmarnock
30:58just didn't get
30:59the tucks right
30:59Edsor Hugo
31:00gambled
31:03simply raced in
31:04and got enough
31:05of a touch
31:11Mandron
31:12Halliday in the way
31:15Dundee fire upfield
31:17Murray
31:17make it the break
31:20Campbell touches back
31:22King and a bit of ball

31:39the scoring
31:43it's his first goal

31:54with all the time
31:55to make his mind
31:56up in the wide area
31:57and Wesley's touch
31:58took a bit of time
31:59to go in off the post
32:05Congreve
32:06whips in
32:07Freckleton
32:07heads away
32:09Dander stands

32:17and headed away
32:18again
32:19wave after wave
32:20of pressure
32:21Hamilton strikes
32:23deflection
32:23we'll see the ball
32:24bounce behind
32:24for a Dundee corner
32:25it's the forward
32:27Mandron who gets
32:28the touch
32:28and it's off
32:29the woodwork
32:38Richardson
32:38takes his time

33:38the header
33:39collected by
33:41O'Hara
33:44Jadon Richardson
33:45did all he could
33:46to stretch
33:47Lowe's neck muscles
33:48to reach the ball
33:49but couldn't beat
33:50Dundee's
33:51substitute goalkeeper
34:00Picked at Brugio
34:01really well
34:02and here's Stuart
34:03through
34:04Donny Stuart
34:051-1
34:06but he's flashed
34:07that away from goal
34:08and that was a
34:09decent chance
34:10that for Paul Kirk
34:10completely cut open
34:12that mother-in-law
34:13defence
34:14all started
34:15from the goalkeeper
34:17in Hogarth
34:17flick on from Brugio
34:19and he had support
34:20and Miller to his
34:21left as well
34:24summer shirt
34:24out for John McGlynn
34:25it's been better
34:26weather
34:27in many parts
34:29of Scotland
34:29this week
34:33now maybe
34:33the ball through
34:34here for Stuart
34:35another chance
34:36here quickly
34:37and it's side
34:38nothing

35:07that was a decent
35:08try
35:08that was a good
35:09strong hand
35:14O'Donnell
35:15gets it back
35:19makes it a play
35:20from Maspinese
35:21he's been rather
35:21quiet
35:22so far
35:23this afternoon
35:23Falkirk
35:24managed to
35:25break free
35:27now Miller
35:31support him
35:32Drogio
35:33could be through
35:35here for Cartwright
35:35he's through
35:36it's Cartwright

35:43second
35:44for Falkirk

35:47he is onside

35:53Miller's vision

36:00on the side
36:01foot home
36:06it's been
36:07given away
36:07by O'Donnell
36:08I think

36:12it's
36:13a fantastic
36:14fingertip away
36:16Cairo Wilson
36:17the substitute

37:03a fabulous effort
37:06brilliant goal
37:07Mitchell frames
37:08first for the club
37:10as he hammers it
37:11into the bottom
37:12right corner
37:13it's an outstanding
37:14goal from the
37:15young left back
37:16and it's one
37:17which could go
37:18a long way
37:19to guaranteeing
37:21Aberdeen's
37:21unblemished
37:22top flight history
37:23and also pushes
37:25Livingston closer
37:26to the abyss
37:27it is Livingston

39:31who will
39:31finish second
39:32bottom of
39:33the table
39:33with Livingston
39:34obviously now
39:35relegated
39:37Kilmarnock
39:37and St
39:37Mirren
39:38in line for
39:38a massive
39:39match
39:39next weekend
39:40in Paisley
39:41how do you
39:42see that
39:42going
39:43Scott
39:43I think
39:44Kilmarnock
39:45and the team
39:45are going in
39:45with the momentum
39:46for that one
39:47fantastic result
39:48yesterday
39:48against
39:49Dundee United
39:49free goal
39:49clean sheet
39:50as well
39:50which will
39:51please
39:52Neil McCann
39:53in St Mirren
39:54obviously
39:54difficult place
39:55to go
39:55you know
39:56Dundee can
39:57produce performances
39:57to win by a goal
39:58but I just feel
39:59because of the
40:00lack of cutting edge
40:01that St Mirren
40:02have I feel
40:02that Kilmarnock
40:03are going into that
40:03and they'll know
40:04if they can win
40:05that game
40:06St Mirren will be
40:07in real trouble
40:07finishing that
40:08relegation spot
40:09as for Dundee
40:11it was a
40:12big victory
40:13for them
40:14is that them
40:14safe as far as
40:15you're concerned
40:15for me
40:16yeah I think
40:17they're safe
40:18it was a team
40:18when they were
40:19going into split
40:19you expect
40:20to maybe win
40:20more games
40:21than they have
40:21and I think
40:22that's just
40:22been the sort
40:23of season
40:23that Dundee
40:24have had
40:24they've had
40:24some great
40:25performances
40:25within there
40:26but nothing
40:26consistent
40:27but that win
40:28yesterday
40:28will make them
40:30safe for me
40:30yeah I mean
40:31it's almost
40:32as dramatic
40:33at the bottom
40:34of the table
40:34as it is
40:35at the top
40:36end isn't it
40:36almost as unpredictable
40:38unpredictable
40:39yeah I think
40:40I think that comes
40:40down to why
40:41the teams are
40:41there throughout
40:42the course
40:42of the season
40:43because you
40:43don't have
40:43a real consistent
40:44run of games
40:45but getting that
40:46run of games
40:47at this time
40:47is most important
40:48that's why I think
40:49yesterday's won
40:49for Kilmarnock
40:50we showed you
40:51a clean sheet
40:51on top of that
40:52so for me
40:53next week
40:53that's a huge
40:54game in Paisley
40:55in terms of the
40:56top half of the
40:57table again
40:58Falkirk can look
40:59forward to that
40:59match at home
41:00against Hebs
41:01coming off the
41:01back of that
41:02victory against
41:03Motherwell
41:03what is it about
41:04Falkirk and
41:05Motherwell that
41:06Falkirk seem to
41:07have the edge
41:09over this
41:10otherwise fairly
41:11all-conquering
41:12Motherwell side
41:12do you know
41:13what I've loved
41:14about that fixture
41:14this year
41:15there's been so
41:15many different
41:17formations
41:17tactics
41:18ways of playing
41:19throughout the
41:19course of the
41:20season
41:20and all the
41:20games they've
41:21played
41:21John McGlynn
41:22obviously
41:22I know him
41:24personally
41:24and how much
41:25thought he puts
41:25into these
41:25sort of games
41:26he'll love
41:26coming up
41:27against that
41:27tactical battle
41:28that Jens
41:29Berto Askew
41:29poses
41:30and again
41:31yesterday
41:31tactical
41:33changes that
41:33he made
41:34gave Falkirk
41:35the win
41:36and in saying
41:37that he could
41:37have had more
41:37goals
41:38Barnestuart
41:38with a few
41:38chances
41:39it could have
41:39been more
41:39for Falkirk
41:40so he'll be
41:41delighted with
41:41this game
41:42getting off the
41:43back of beating
41:43a really good
41:44Motherwell team
41:44and Hibs
41:45coming on
41:46Saturday
41:46Huge credit
41:47for John McGlynn
41:47to be nominated
41:48for marriage of
41:49the year
41:49but can you
41:49believe that
41:50Jens
41:50Berto Askew
41:51was not
41:52I can't believe
41:55I've been speaking
41:55highly about him
41:56all season
41:56and how impressed
41:57I've been
41:58with the sort
41:58of football
41:59that he's
41:59implemented there
42:00and how he's
42:01made players
42:01better
42:02he's had changes
42:02within that as well
42:03for me I was
42:04I thought it was
42:06astonishing that he
42:06wasn't in the
42:08shot list to be honest
42:08Scott for the moment
42:09thank you very much
42:10indeed let's have
42:11another gander at
42:12the William Hill

42:15bottom half

42:18officially relegated
42:19they're on 20
42:20points
42:20St Mirren
42:21are second bottom
42:23on 30
42:23and they host
42:25Kilmarnock
42:25next weekend
42:27who are now
