00:41Big chance and it's wide.
00:47Kabore and Braga and 1-0.
00:51It is another step towards the title and just nine games to go
00:57for the side now Feverage to win the title.
01:03The excitement building in this quite sensational Premiership season.
01:07Peter Grant and Andy Halliday on the edge of their seats.
01:11Hearts began the day seven points clear at the top.
01:14How would Rangers and Celtic handle this old firm derby?
01:17Loaded with pressure.
01:21We come with a lot of belief, confidence.
01:24The last couple of weeks we beat Celtic away, Hearts at home.
01:27It gives us a belief that we can beat the next big opponent at home.
01:31It's a special game in a special atmosphere.
01:34It makes no sense to look to mistakes from the last couple of weeks or something like this.
01:38It's about who brings the best performance on the pitch
01:41and who can handle the pressure as best as they can.
01:46Big day for the football club.
01:48Obviously a big day for both clubs in many aspects.
01:50The games are running down.
01:52So today's game is very important.
01:56The most important thing is obviously the result.
01:59The result matters.
02:00It matters in any particular game, but it matters particularly here.
02:03I'm hoping by the end of proceedings that we're still in the competition.
02:06This is it.
02:12Rangers against Celtic on the first day of spring.
02:15Yet neither are favourites for the Scottish title.
02:19Uncharted waters for perhaps two generations.
02:22And the threat from the east is demonstrably real.
02:26Part of Midlothian are threatening to rip the script to tatters.
02:30Their latest win yesterday has turned up the heat on these two.
02:34With a four-decade-long Glaswegian grip on the top flight under all kinds of duress.
02:41Both of them dropped points last week.
02:43And the wriggle room is of the finest of margins now.
02:46If there's a loser today, they will be in big trouble.
02:50Both could drop points again.
02:52And that would suit Hearts just fine.
02:54And nobody should be discounting Motherwell at this point either.
03:00Dujon Sterling makes a quicker-than-expected return to the fold,
03:04having missed last week's draw at Livingston.
03:06He's in for captain Tavernier, with Ryan Nadiri replacing Jiri Gassama.
03:11Yusuf Sharmiti's enjoyed goals in the big games recently,
03:14including his double at Celtic Park at the start of January.
03:17Well, there's Derby debuts for Roman, Scovolson, Chigwani and Nadiri.
03:23Martin O'Neill celebrates his 74th birthday today.
03:26You could scarcely have believed he would be taking charge of Celtic at Ibrox again,
03:3120 years and 10 months after his last.
03:34Celtic created history for themselves with a first win in German soil on Thursday,
03:38though it wasn't enough to prevent a Europa League exit.
03:41Sinisalo keeps his place in goal, with O'Neill seeing Schmeichel to kill this morning.
03:46Murray also stays in the team with trusty Bann.
03:50And taking charge of it for a ninth time is 44-year-old John Beaton.
03:55He will be assisted on VAR by Stephen McLean and Kevin Clancy.
04:00Danny Rule and Martin O'Neill go head-to-head, having done so in the League Cup semis.
04:07Let battle commence.
04:10Celtic at Ibrox on back-to-back Sundays in what is now a season-defining week for the defending champions.
04:17A rescheduled trip to Aberdeen in midweek and back here on Scottish Cup duty next weekend.
04:22They are walking a tightrope.
04:24Rangers are looking to win an 11th successive home game for the first time as a top flight side since
04:302002-2003.
04:32To get back to within four of a Hearts team that is simply not wilting as they chased their first
04:38major league title in 66 years.
04:42Nadiri.
04:44That's a great ball there for Romance.
04:48He's another making his debut in this almighty derby.
04:56That's a lovely little ball by Nadiri to find him.
05:01And we'll have this corner to keep the pressure on.
05:05Worth to take.
05:09Back from Skob Olsen, it's a good ball, Raskan's flick, and Sinisalo blocks.
05:15There's a flag though.
05:23Threatless for Rangers.
05:25Raskan just offside.
05:27A nonchalant flick, Callum Spence with the flag up though.
05:35Instead of Celtic are at it, nobody's touching them.
05:45Rourke's taking a sore one.
05:48Julian Araujo.
05:51Barge on the Rangers forward.
05:57He's looking for Romance, something on that.
06:01And Gregor, back into an area he doesn't want to be running back into.
06:05There's Romance.
06:07Muir.
06:10Sterling.
06:11For Skob Olsen.
06:14Lovely check.
06:15Back!
06:16That's a wonderful goal!
06:23It's an absolute classic from Youssef Sermiti.
06:29And Ibrox Roars.
06:35The early breakthrough.
06:40And possibly one of the most important goals the Rangers have scored this season.
06:51Well, he's been much maligned at times, this campaign, youssef Sermiti, because of the price tag.
06:58Rangers ransacking Celtic in the attacking third.
07:03And it's well worked here.
07:05It's expertly sculpted.
07:07And Sermiti with the bicycle kick finish.
07:18It really is a quite wonderful goal.
07:26As important as it was spectacular.
07:36It's going to go down in the annals.
07:39Oh, vintage old farm goals for Seward.
07:46Can Celtic hit back?
07:49Another near close delivery.
07:52It was attempting.
07:52It breaks the junior, Adamu.
07:53Here's Nigren.
07:56Celtic's top scorer.
07:59Actually, Chamberlain goes down.
08:01He's not getting the free kick.
08:02Rangers will hear up the pitch here with Skob Olsen.
08:10Nocikwani.
08:14Lovely touch by Moor.
08:17Twinkle toes.
08:19Mikey Moor's ball!
08:21And it's wide.
08:24The Rangers almost scoring a second within a couple of minutes.
08:28This lovely play by Moor.
08:30Who's at it today, you can tell, even in these early stages.
08:35It's done as a huge opportunity at the back post.
08:38Skob Olsen couldn't force it home.
08:41Sermiti was there too.
08:54Oh, Murray's missed it.
08:57Sermiti's after it.
08:58Sermiti's in!
09:02And a second for Rangers!
09:13Dane Murray knows.
09:16He knows how costly that could prove to be.
09:20For the defending champions,
09:23whose grip on the trophy is loosening by the week right now.
09:27But Sermiti's at it again against Celtic.
09:31And has given their hopes of winning the league title.
09:35An almighty shot in the arm.
09:38He's still got loads to do there.
09:41Such a smart goal by Sermiti.
09:45Well, once again, the Celtic defence found wanting.
09:53It's the slice from Murray that's proved so costly.
09:57But the flick here from Sermiti away from Araujo is brilliant.
10:03And then the finish as well.
10:05And Celtic simply don't have an answer.
10:08They don't have an answer to Yusef Sermiti.
10:09That's his fourth against them this season.
10:12In two games.
10:22Sermiti's got that out to Scovolson.
10:27Is that a foul by Tierney?
10:29Yes, it was.
10:36Scovolson in a crumpled heap.
10:47Scovolson's boot seeming to get stuck in the turf there.
10:50He's got the free kick though.
10:56And it comes again.
10:58Fernandes!
11:03It's not a million miles away
11:05from 3-0.
11:08I wonder if it would have been about that.
11:10Shoot by the
11:12right hand post to Sinisalo.
11:16It is the Sermiti show
11:18at Ibrox.
11:22The Rangers' number nine's double.
11:24It's putting Celtic to the sword
11:26here in Govan.
11:28Both fine goals.
11:30Particularly that first one.
11:31The bicycle kick finish.
11:35The second wasn't bad either.
11:38And the man just loves
11:39a goal in a big game.
11:43We've seen plenty to use repertoire
11:45in this first half.
11:46A first half.
11:47Rangers have dominated.
11:48The Rangers lead.
11:502-0.
12:00Celtic kick off the second half.
12:02They're a long way back now though.
12:05They've made two changes
12:06for the start.
12:08The second 45
12:10with Sebastian Tenecti
12:11and Rio Hattate
12:12replacing Oxlade-Chamberlain
12:14and Adamu.
12:16Will that have the desired effect?
12:19His head must have been
12:20swimming after that.
12:22The second
12:23Rangers goal in particular.
12:27With Moor.
12:29Sterling.
12:31And Skowolson.
12:36Moor.
12:37It's a good ball in.
12:38And Sinisalo holds on
12:40after Romance met it
12:42at the back post.
12:44Well, more ominous signs
12:46for Celtic
12:47to try and turn
12:48the tide here.
12:51A little bit
12:52slapped by McGregor.
12:54Here's Raskan.
12:57Mederi
12:57for Sermiti
12:58and his flick
12:59goes awry.
13:01Here's Negren.
13:04That's exactly
13:04the kind of encouragement
13:05that
13:07Danny Rule
13:08does not want
13:08his players
13:09to offer Celtic.
13:11Rio Hattate
13:11goes for a goal
13:12and Butlan
13:13forced into a save.
13:14Finally.
13:18moments like that
13:19can change
13:19the impetus
13:20of a game.
13:22Hattate
13:22looking for that
13:24bottom corner.
13:31Tierney's corner kick.
13:32Fernandez away.
13:33Hattate
13:34and scuffed
13:35still in there
13:36though.
13:38Jan for McGregor
13:40out to Tierney.
13:42And from Raskan
13:43a little flick
13:45and away
13:46on the six-yard line
13:47by Romance.
13:51It's a good spell
13:52for Celtic.
13:53Probably their best
13:54in the match.
13:56Tenekte
13:58along the 18-yard line.
14:00It's off Sterling.
14:02It's McGregor
14:02for Hattate.
14:05McGregor
14:06lays it back
14:07to Negren.
14:08Little chip.
14:08Chance.
14:09Goal!
14:11Came on again!
14:12Kieran Tierney!
14:14Celtic
14:15right back
14:16in it.
14:19And Kieran Tierney
14:21takes advantage.
14:24Rangers
14:24have been
14:25a little bit slack
14:26the last few minutes.
14:28and Celtic
14:29have taken
14:30advantage
14:30of their slumber.
14:34And Kieran Tierney's
14:36fourth goal
14:36of the season
14:37brings new life
14:38into this derby.
14:41They needed
14:42the next goal.
14:43They've got
14:44the next goal.
14:45Rangers
14:46two,
14:46Celtic one.
14:49Just be on
14:50the hour mark
14:51at Ibrox.
14:53Tierney
14:53with the corner.
14:55by Fernandes.
14:57Goal
14:57Olsen
14:58makes it clear.
15:04Liana Raoho
15:06to Necti.
15:09Maeda's
15:09waiting!
15:12Gotland holds on.
15:14It's a very
15:14different game
15:15now here.
15:17Real sea change
15:19in the flow
15:20of the match.
15:21and Daizen Maeda
15:25on the other
15:26side of
15:26Butlin.
15:26It might have
15:27been 2-H.
15:29This place
15:29was raucous
15:30in that first
15:31half.
15:32Decibel levels
15:33have gone down
15:34despite the
15:35sheer
15:36closeness
15:37in the match
15:37and
15:40edgy
15:41waiters'
15:41performance.
15:48Rilho.
15:49Spring
15:49Jan
15:49Hoon
15:50Jun
15:50here.
15:51Get on
15:51to it.
15:53Negrin
15:54pulls it
15:55back to
15:55Hattati.
15:56Fluffs his
15:57lines.
15:59That's a
15:59huge chance.
16:01Yes,
16:02he's on the
16:02edge of the
16:03box.
16:03For real,
16:04Hattati will
16:04be gutted.
16:05He's not
16:05got this
16:06on target
16:06at the
16:06very least.
16:07It's good
16:08tenacity
16:08by Benjamin
16:09Negrin.
16:11Suter
16:12gave it
16:12away and
16:13Hattati
16:13cannot test
16:15Butland.
16:17It's Alec
16:18Ferguson doing
16:18a tour of
16:19the top
16:21flight grounds
16:21this weekend.
16:22He was at
16:22Tynecastle
16:23yesterday.
16:24The guest
16:24of Hearts
16:25against his
16:25old team
16:26Aberdeen.
16:27The last
16:27manager out
16:28with these
16:29two clubs
16:29we're watching
16:30to win the
16:31Scottish title.
16:32It's over
16:33the Dons
16:33in 85.
16:38Tenecte
16:39manages to
16:39get it to
16:40Luke
16:40McCowan.
16:42And unlike
16:43in Stuttgart
16:44he can't
16:44find the
16:44finish.
16:47Huge
16:48chance.
16:50Will they
16:51get another
16:51one as good
16:52as this?
16:53It is a
16:53tight angle.
16:56In Germany
16:57he managed
16:58to find that
16:58far corner.
16:59Not on this
17:00occasion.
17:02Just over
17:03ten to
17:03play.
17:06Negrin.
17:08next thing
17:08behind for
17:09Tenecte.
17:10Oh and
17:11he's been
17:11clotheslined
17:12by Suter
17:13who was
17:13into the
17:13book.
17:16Rangers
17:17skipper for
17:17the day
17:18is having
17:18a go at
17:18his teammates.
17:22Rangers are
17:22hanging on
17:23a little bit
17:23now.
17:27Celtics
17:27punch on
17:28for late
17:28goals and
17:30something they
17:30did regularly
17:31under O'Neill.
17:34in from
17:35Negrin and
17:36that was the
17:36chance for
17:37Dane Murray
17:37to redeem
17:38himself.
17:39He's been
17:39unable to
17:40take it.
17:41They've
17:41been a
17:41couple of
17:42big
17:42opportunities
17:43just in
17:43the last
17:43couple of
17:44minutes.
17:49Mascan
17:49can't get
17:50on to that.
17:50Here's
17:50McCowan.
17:52Def ball
17:53forward for
17:53Maida.
17:54Seater's
17:54header goes
17:55straight to
17:55Negrin who
17:56finds
17:57Sebastian
17:57Tenecte.
18:00can't find
18:01a way past
18:01Sterling.
18:03Brilliant
18:03defending.
18:05But Mamani
18:06didn't look
18:06like he was
18:06going to be
18:07able to
18:07play today.
18:10Sterling
18:10has stood
18:11his ground
18:11brilliantly
18:12there.
18:15They need
18:16somebody to
18:17come up
18:17with something.
18:18Going home
18:19empty-handed.
18:20Scottish Cup
18:20tie here next
18:21weekend.
18:22They could be
18:22finishing the
18:22season empty-handed.
18:24They're not
18:25careful.
18:27Scales.
18:28out to
18:29Tenecte.
18:35He'll get
18:35away.
18:36Here's
18:37McGregor.
18:38Attacked to
18:39Araujo.
18:40He said
18:40Celtic are
18:40going to get
18:41at least one
18:41more opportunity.
18:44Here's
18:44Forrest.
18:45He's got it
18:46across!
18:47And Maida
18:48can't finish!
18:51Well,
18:51that right
18:52there was
18:54Celtic's
18:55chance for
18:55an equaliser.
18:57Butlin's
18:58kept it
18:58out.
19:01Maida
19:02right in
19:03front of
19:03goal.
19:06It's good
19:07work by
19:07James Forrest.
19:08He's just
19:09on the
19:09pitch.
19:10Great ball
19:10across.
19:11Butlin
19:12somehow has
19:12kept Maida
19:13out.
19:16They're
19:16having a
19:17little look
19:17to see if
19:17it's come
19:18off Sterling's
19:18arm, I
19:19think.
19:20are the
19:21VAR team.
19:23You see
19:23Maida
19:23there gets
19:24the touch
19:24on to it.
19:25Does it
19:25come off
19:25Sterling's
19:26left arm?
19:27That's the
19:28question that
19:29the VAR team's
19:30trying to
19:31answer right
19:31now.
19:33And are
19:34Celtic about
19:35to be thrown
19:35a lifeline
19:36here?
19:40there is
19:41silence
19:42inside
19:42Ibrox.
19:46John
19:46Beaton
19:46is going to
19:48come over
19:48and have a
19:49look at it
19:49himself.
19:50And this
19:50is a huge
19:51moment,
19:52not just
19:52for these
19:53two,
19:54but for
19:54Hart and
19:54Midlothian
19:55as well.
19:56Make no
19:57mistake,
19:58a draw
19:58today is
20:00the perfect
20:00result for
20:01Hart,
20:01the league
20:02leaders.
20:04And
20:04Rangers,
20:05who led
20:052-0,
20:06could be
20:07about to
20:07face a
20:08Celtic
20:08penalty.
20:10They might
20:11see them
20:11spill two
20:12points,
20:12it's clearly
20:13come off
20:13the arm.
20:15Has it
20:16rolled down
20:16his leg
20:17or has it
20:17come off
20:17his arm
20:18or both?
20:19John
20:19Beaton
20:20has seen
20:20enough.
20:22And he
20:23has given
20:23Celtic the
20:24penalty.
20:27And in a
20:28season of
20:29twists and
20:30turns,
20:31here's
20:32another one.
20:34The penalty
20:35duties are
20:36going to be
20:36left to
20:37Rio
20:37Hitate.
20:39It's not
20:40been a
20:41vintage season
20:41for the
20:42Japan
20:42international.
20:46Unbearable
20:46for both
20:48sets of
20:48supporters.
20:51And Rio
20:52Hitate has
20:53the chance
20:54to square the
20:55derby with
20:57Celtics title
20:58defence on
20:59life support
21:00as it
21:00stands.
21:11Celtic
21:11bundle at
21:12home.
21:14And from
21:152-0 down
21:17the champions
21:18have come
21:19off the
21:19floor.
21:21Martin
21:22O'Neill's
21:22team have
21:24come back
21:24from the
21:25dead.
21:26two
21:27brilliant
21:27saves by
21:28Butlan
21:28but at
21:29the third
21:29attempt
21:30Rio
21:30Hitate
21:31has surely
21:32salvaged a
21:33point for
21:34Celtic.
21:36And Rangers
21:36are about to
21:37leave two
21:37points on the
21:38floor again.
21:39It's quite
21:40incredible.
21:42Well that
21:43means Rangers
21:44will be six
21:45points adrift
21:46of hearts.
21:48Celtic
21:48will be eight
21:49points adrift
21:50of hearts with
21:51a game in
21:51hand.
21:51and it
21:53means they
21:53can go
21:53back into
21:54second with
21:54a win at
21:55Aberdeen on
21:55Wednesday.
21:57But this
21:58is a huge
21:59boost for
22:00hearts, no
22:00question.
22:02This is the
22:03scoreline they
22:04would have
22:04signed up for
22:05from this
22:06one.
22:11That's it.
22:13It's a game
22:14they both
22:15needed to win
22:16and it's a
22:17game neither
22:18have won.
22:20The big
22:21winners from
22:21this are
22:23heart of
22:23Midlothian
22:24that is for
22:25sure.
22:26Rangers have
22:27tossed away a
22:272-0
22:28half-time lead
22:30given to
22:30them by
22:31Yusuf
22:31Sermiti's
22:32double.
22:34But Celtic
22:35somehow have
22:36plundered a
22:36point right at
22:38the end after
22:40Kieran Tierney
22:40gave them hope
22:41early in the
22:42second half.
22:43Rio
22:44Hattate on
22:46the rebound
22:46from his
22:47penalty which
22:47was saved by
22:48Butland.
22:49The initial
22:49rebound was
22:50saved too.
22:51as tempers
22:53fray on the
22:54pitch after
22:55full-time
22:57and the
22:58heart supporters
22:59will celebrate
23:00this draw
23:01because the
23:02stars appear
23:03to be aligning
23:04for
23:05Hattem
23:05Midlothian.
23:07It finishes
23:07here with the
23:09champions coming
23:10from two down
23:11to draw
23:11Rangers 2
23:13Celtic 2.
23:142-0
23:19Great game, great
23:20season and the
23:20icing on the
23:21cake.
23:22Watching a
23:2274-year-old on
23:24his birthday
23:24keeping the
23:25peace at
23:25Ibrox.
23:26Inspirational.
23:27Fantastic stuff.
23:30And it leaves
23:31things very much
23:32like this.
23:33Hart's still on
23:33top of the
23:34table with
23:3463 points.
23:36Rangers on
23:3757, Celtic
23:3855 and
23:39Motherwell on
23:4053 points.
23:43Hearts and
23:44Motherwell, the
23:44big winners.
23:46Today, and
23:47Andy Halliday,
23:48today a
23:49classic case of
23:50a tale of two
23:51halves you'd have to
23:52say.
23:52From a tactical
23:53point of view
23:54for Rangers,
23:55how much of a
23:56difference did
23:56playing two up
23:57front make?
23:58I think it
23:59certainly gets the
24:00best out of
24:00Yusuf Chermity,
24:01that's for sure.
24:02But listen, I
24:03thought for the
24:04get-go, I
24:04thought Rangers
24:05showed their
24:05initiative in
24:06trying to make
24:06it uncomfortable
24:07for Celtic.
24:08Play direct, get
24:09bodies round the
24:10ball and out of
24:10possession.
24:11I thought they
24:11played with so
24:12much energy at
24:12the start of the
24:13game.
24:13I thought it
24:14made it very
24:14difficult for
24:15Celtic to play
24:15their own type of
24:16football and play
24:18forward.
24:18You could see
24:19anyone across the
24:21front four in
24:22the midfield two
24:22I thought played
24:23with so much
24:23energy, I
24:24thought Rangers
24:24were never so
24:25good at turning
24:26the ball over and
24:27then in a matter
24:27of seconds being
24:28in Celtic's box,
24:29playing forward
24:30made it very
24:31difficult for
24:31Celtic.
24:33You could see
24:34me and Peter
24:35were talking
24:35earlier that I
24:35thought with the
24:36front two, I
24:37think going into
24:38the game there
24:38was a lot of
24:38chat of Celtic
24:39potentially overrun
24:40them in the
24:40middle of the
24:41pitch but I
24:41thought the
24:42front two of
24:42Nadirian Chermity
24:43I think done
24:44ever so well at
24:45occupying not only
24:46scales in Dame
24:47Murray but shadowing
24:49any pass into
24:49Cameron McGregor
24:50make it difficult
24:51for him to get
24:51on the ball and
24:52play forward.
24:52And you could
24:53see every time
24:54Rangers played
24:55direct that that
24:57was their game
24:57plan, they were
24:58anticipating long
24:59balls, they were
24:59anticipating to
25:00try and get
25:00three or four
25:01bodies around
25:02wherever the
25:02ball was going
25:03to drop.
25:03You can see here
25:04Rangers got four
25:04bodies around
25:05three Celtic
25:06players so they
25:07were favourites to
25:07win these second
25:08balls and I
25:09thought they'd
25:09done that ever
25:09so well.
25:10I think that's
25:10another good
25:11example of Chermity
25:12and Nadiri
25:13occupying not
25:14only the two
25:14centre-half but
25:15making it difficult
25:15for Cameron
25:16McGregor to get
25:16on the ball.
25:18They're stopping
25:18the line of
25:19supply to Cameron
25:19McGregor who's
25:20been such a
25:20big player in
25:21this fixture and
25:22Chermity and
25:22Nadiri like he
25:23says I thought
25:24they put in so
25:24much energy
25:25throughout the
25:25full game.
25:26Peter, Rangers
25:28utterly dominant in
25:29the first half.
25:30Did Celtic get it
25:31wrong from a
25:31selection point of
25:32It's summed up
25:32here Jonathan
25:33you actually see
25:34Celtic can play
25:35forward, they
25:35take too many
25:36touches, they're
25:37closed down, that's
25:37Fernandes the
25:38centre-half, here
25:39again they're in a
25:40good position, Celtic
25:41are trying to play
25:42out, can't, look at
25:43the midfield now
25:44they're so deep
25:44because the ball's
25:45going forward but
25:46as we were talking
25:47about Rangers, they
25:48knew what they were
25:48doing, they'd made
25:49this before prior to
25:50the match, we're
25:51going to go along
25:52get bodies round
25:52about it and Celtic
25:54found it really
25:55really tough in that
25:56fixture, you've got
25:57to win first and
25:58second balls and
25:59Rangers dominated
26:00that as I say in
26:01the first half, you
26:01see Mikey Moore
26:02the line he takes
26:02here, Sinnesal is
26:04under pressure, the
26:05ball's going up
26:05there, Rangers are
26:06favourites to win
26:07it, yeah again
26:07they win the next
26:08one and they win
26:09the next one and
26:10you think to
26:11yourself, why is
26:11Celtic going to get
26:12a grip of the game
26:13because they're
26:13wanting to play and
26:13then they give the
26:14free kick away.
26:15So Rangers still
26:16deserved it in the
26:16first half, nobody
26:18could argue about
26:19that, they were
26:19very dominant as
26:21I say in the
26:21fixtures you have
26:22to win your duels
26:23and Celtic didn't
26:24do that, didn't
26:24play, I felt for
26:25Adamu because the
26:26ball never get
26:27played forward once
26:28and that's difficult
26:29as a striker.
26:30If Celtic got it
26:31wrong in the first
26:32half and I think
26:32Martin O'Neill kind
26:33of accepted, he
26:35probably did in terms
26:36of selection, how
26:37big a difference did
26:38the substitutions at
26:39half-time make for
26:39Celtic?
26:40Substitutions were
26:41massive, this man
26:42came on, real
26:42attack, he was
26:43excellent, you know
26:44he just brings a
26:45little bit of
26:45composure, he always
26:46finds a little bit
26:46of space, Rangers
26:48make an error, turn
26:48the ball over, but
26:49he just has that
26:50little bit of
26:50composure in the
26:51game and I just
26:52felt then things
26:53started to turn a
26:54little bit, I
26:55think if Negrin
26:56left that, Atati's
26:57more than capable
26:58of striking and
26:58hitting the back
26:59of the net from
26:59that, but here
27:01again, Rangers try
27:02and be clever, a
27:02wee flick here,
27:03Celtic, these wee
27:04things changed the
27:05game for Celtic,
27:06Celtic then started
27:06to get a wee bit
27:07of belief that he
27:08could get a goal,
27:08I thought to Negrin
27:09as well, very, as
27:11I said, direct, this
27:12was a great move,
27:13you see where a
27:13wee of Atati is,
27:14then he gets a
27:15strike in, because
27:16he finds space, all
27:17the Rangers guys are
27:18working to get
27:18behind the ball, but
27:20he knows if he
27:20stands still, the
27:21ball will come to
27:21him, which all
27:22good midfield
27:23players do, and
27:23also this change
27:25was a big change
27:26that I felt when
27:26I spoke to Andy
27:27about that.
27:28Yeah, so we
27:29felt that at that
27:29point in time
27:30Rangers had lost
27:30a bit of control,
27:31so the reason
27:32from the day
27:32they were coming
27:33off for Diamandi
27:33was to give
27:35Rangers an extra
27:35body in midfield
27:36to play a wee
27:36bit more, but
27:37Rangers never
27:37changed how
27:39they pressed,
27:39and they never
27:40changed how
27:40they played,
27:41so they still
27:41went direct, but
27:42they never had
27:42the two targets
27:43up there, and
27:44you could see
27:44they still pressed
27:45the exact same
27:46way, but allowed
27:47Celtic to have
27:48that spare player
27:48at the opposite
27:49set of half, and
27:50that clip we've
27:50just seen there,
27:51Celtic have now
27:52invested Rio
27:52so Hitachi
27:53into their
27:53build-up, and
27:54all it was is
27:55one simple pass
27:56to flip round
27:56the corner that
27:57started to get
27:58Celtic out of
27:58that pressure
27:59that Rangers
27:59made so difficult
28:00for them, and
28:01you talked about
28:01Rangers not
28:03changing how
28:03they pressed,
28:04it then made
28:04it an absolutely
28:05impossible job
28:06for Yusuf
28:06Cermitti to make
28:07contact with any
28:08Celtic player, and
28:09I think this is a
28:09good example of
28:10it, again the
28:10opposite, centre
28:11half being the
28:12free player for
28:12Celtic, and you
28:13can see the
28:13reaction for
28:14Yusuf Cermitti
28:15there, for 60
28:16minutes, he had
28:17Naderi alongside
28:18him doing that
28:19extra bit of work
28:19to make it
28:20difficult for Celtic,
28:23the way they
28:24thought they would
28:24when they brought
28:24in an extra
28:25midfield player, and
28:26after that it was
28:27far too easy for
28:27Celtic to start to
28:28gain control and
28:29go through the
28:30thirds.
28:30I think the
28:31manager got it
28:31wrong, make the
28:32change, because if
28:34you're in front
28:34there I thought
28:36they went to try
28:36and win it, but
28:37he didn't, he
28:38all of a sudden
28:38wanted to pack
28:39the midfield, but
28:39Celtic will play
28:40through you, they
28:41gave Celtic too
28:41much time, this
28:42was brilliant play,
28:43Luka will be
28:43disappointed in his
28:44first touch, he
28:45should finish it, and
28:46he's more than
28:47capable of it, he's
28:48got the quality, but
28:49I thought that was
28:49because Celtic could
28:50get control at
28:51the back, whether
28:52it was in the
28:52second half, you'll
28:53see, as we look
28:54up there, average
28:54formation in the
28:56first half, you
28:57know, Celtic are
28:58deep, there's no
28:58pressure on the
28:59ball, it's easy for
29:00Rangers to play
29:00forward, all these
29:01things, the second
29:02half, they're right
29:03up the pitch, and
29:04it makes it more
29:04difficult for Rangers
29:05to hit the front
29:06line, and they
29:06don't have that
29:07out ball anymore,
29:08they're taking that
29:09extra touch, and
29:10for me, I was
29:11surprised that Danny
29:12Roll changed it, I
29:13thought he'd have
29:14went to win the
29:14game, even when
29:15Celtic get back to
29:162-1.
29:16So positives and
29:17negatives from a
29:17tactical point of
29:18view for both
29:19managers today, you'd
29:20have to say, Andy.
29:21Yeah, well, like I
29:22said, you can't
29:23complain with Rangers
29:23start at all, I
29:24thought they were
29:24excellent in the
29:25first half, and I
29:26thought they maybe
29:26caught Celtic off
29:27guard a wee bit in
29:27how they pressed, I
29:29thought they were
29:29aggressive for the
29:30front, and then
29:31like we've seen
29:32with some of the
29:32clips there, they
29:33were set up for
29:33that direct play, so
29:35I think Celtic were
29:36trying to put
29:36pressure on Rangers
29:37because they were
29:38bypassing their
29:38midfield, and they
29:39had so many bodies
29:40around that second
29:41ball, it made it
29:42very difficult for
29:43Celtic to gain any
29:44control, but the
29:45big surprise was that
29:47the change when
29:48Diamandie came on,
29:49you then felt that
29:50Rangers would maybe
29:50start to play a wee
29:51bit more and try and
29:52play into the
29:52midfield, but I
29:53don't think they
29:54did, I still think
29:54they remained quite
29:55direct, and then
29:56like we've seen, they
29:57never had the same
29:58amount of bodies
29:58around the ball to
29:59gain control again.
30:00So that is the
30:00tactical analysis,
30:02we'll get through all
30:02the talking points in
30:03a moment, but time
30:04now to hear from
30:05both managers.
30:06I think at the
30:07moment the feeling
30:08is more disappointed
30:09because you dropped
30:12two points after
30:13one, two nil lead,
30:14I think we played,
30:16yeah.
30:17a perfect game,
30:1815 minutes, even
30:19after the halftime,
30:20the first five, six
30:21minutes we were on
30:21front route, we
30:22tried everything, it
30:24was outstanding, but
30:25a game, it's not
30:26about 50 minutes, it's
30:29about longer, and
30:30then in the second
30:30half, yeah, we were
30:33not clinical in
30:34possession, we made
30:35some wrong decisions,
30:37then we lose the
30:38ball, you give them
30:38a little bit of
30:39momentum, then they
30:40score early in the
30:42second half, and
30:42then you know, yeah,
30:43they have nothing to
30:44lose, it's 2-1, they
30:45tried everything,
30:47finally it's a
30:48draw, we can
30:50speak about the
30:50pen or not the
30:51pen, it's always
30:52then a little bit
30:54lucky for a team to
30:55get a late pen,
30:57this is normal, I
30:58would say the same
30:58when we get the
30:59pen later in the
31:00game, but yeah, it's
31:01about the next game
31:02and we have to move
31:03on.
31:03I think if you're 2-0
31:04down at half-time,
31:06then you have to
31:06question yourself, and
31:09I spend my life
31:11questioning myself to
31:11tell you the truth,
31:12but anyway, we pulled
31:16it round in the
31:16second half, great
31:17effort, absolutely
31:18fantastic effort by
31:19the players, they've
31:21shown great, great
31:22spirit, I must admit
31:23during my time here
31:24probably long before
31:25that as well too, and
31:27it was that spirit and
31:28determination that
31:29kept us going and
31:31saw us through at the
31:31end, and we had some
31:33really good chances
31:34even before the
31:35equaliser to actually
31:37get our noses in
31:38front.
31:40It certainly helps,
31:41absolutely helps, you
31:42know, to fight back
31:43at Ibrox from a 2-0
31:45deficit to come back
31:46and probably could and
31:48should have won the
31:49game.
31:49That does give you
31:50enormous, what shall
31:52I say, enormous
31:54ambition to want to go
31:55and drive on as much
31:56as anything else.
31:57We've got another
31:58difficult game, have
31:58to go to Aberdeen
32:00on Wednesday, and
32:01again, that was one
32:02that's fitted in here,
32:04but we'll try and rest
32:06up and try and get
32:07going for that, but
32:08we're, you know, we've
32:09still given, sorry, we're
32:11still giving ourselves a
32:12chance here in this
32:13title race.
32:14If you want today, the
32:15winner's hearts, but
32:17there's still nine games
32:18to go, and this is 27
32:19points.
32:20I think all games now
32:21will be tough for all
32:23the teams, and this is
32:25the reason why we move
32:26forward, we go again, and
32:28we will leave until the
32:29end, and yeah, I think
32:31I've said this many
32:32times, this season, the
32:36decision-making will be
32:36on the last match day.
32:39We've looked under the
32:40bonnet of this match, we've
32:41heard from the bosses,
32:42let's get to the
32:42blockbuster bits right
32:44now, and the question
32:45has to be Andy Halliday,
32:46is this overhead kick
32:48better than Scott
32:49McTominay's?
32:51I tell you what, two of
32:52them certainly come in
32:53very big games, that's
32:54for sure, sorry to
32:56remind Peter, but Peter's
32:57a wee bit older than
32:57me, so he's seen plenty
32:58more, but it's as good a
33:00goal as I've seen in this
33:01fixture for such a long
33:02period of time.
33:03And again, another
33:03example, our Rangers,
33:04great pressure at the top
33:05end of the pitch, they
33:06find Mikey Moore in that
33:08little half space to try
33:09and switch the play over
33:10the right-hand side, and
33:11again, it's great play by
33:13Skowals, and I think it's
33:14the first time we've
33:14really got at Celtic all
33:16day, and he works it on
33:17his right foot, so I
33:18love the little stand-up
33:19cross, and honestly, I
33:21couldn't believe it, what
33:22I've seen live in the
33:23game, he shows great
33:25athleticism, and the
33:26contact he gets to
33:27actually get it by
33:28Sinisalo is incredible,
33:30and you just don't know
33:31where it is, we
33:31term it in this
33:32fixture.
33:33It's a thing of beauty,
33:34Peter, isn't it?
33:34It's a fantastic goal, but
33:36I think if Callum looks
33:37back at it, with his
33:38experience, I think he
33:39retained the ball into
33:39the corner and bought a
33:40free kick, that's what
33:41you've got to do in that
33:42situation, because he put
33:43a roll hole, and then
33:44Rangers didn't let him
33:44out, but wonderful,
33:45wonderful goal, there's
33:46no doubt about that, and
33:48as you say, he's had a
33:49lot of criticism, but I
33:50think it helps him, the
33:51fact he's playing with
33:52two strikers up, and I
33:52think he prefers to play
33:53in a two, because if
33:55one's a way run to the
33:55front post, moving
33:56defenders across, which
33:57he does, all of a sudden
33:58he failures himself in a
33:59little bit of space now,
34:00and that's the beauty of
34:02playing two strikers.
34:03Yeah, an absolutely huge
34:05moment for Youssef
34:06Chirmity, as you both
34:07say, he's had his
34:08critics during his time,
34:09in fact, he's scored
34:11eight of his nine
34:13Rangers goals against
34:14Hearts and Celtic, which
34:17is quite incredible,
34:18certainly enjoyed his
34:19celebration sitting on that
34:20metal box, why not?
34:23You've got to enjoy life
34:24and take your moments when
34:25they come, but as I
34:26mentioned there, Andy, he
34:27is an enigma, he saves his
34:28goals for the big matches,
34:30can you explain, he would get
34:31a second, obviously, and it
34:32was a moment of pure gallus,
34:34you'd have to say, a bit of
34:34mischief after taking
34:36opportunity from the Celtic
34:38mistake.
34:39Yeah, well, again, Rangers go
34:40direct, they secure the first
34:42ball, they secure the second,
34:43then they start to play in
34:44Celtic's half, and I thought
34:45the first goal was obviously
34:47real individual quality, and
34:49this was just brilliant in
34:50terms of keeping it alive and
34:51making it a chance out of
34:52nothing.
34:53I think Dane Murray, for me,
34:54that was arguably his only
34:55mistake throughout the full
34:56game, I thought he played
34:57well, but Youssef Chirmity does
34:59ever so well just to keep it
35:00alive and not knock it by
35:01Julian Araujo, and then
35:02again, it's a lovely little
35:03death flick with the outside of
35:05his foot, and at this point
35:06in time, I mean, Rangers and
35:07Youssef Chirmity are in
35:08dreamland.
35:09I mean, it certainly was the
35:11proverbial game of two halves
35:12because I thought by this
35:13point, you only felt there was
35:14only going to be one winner.
35:16Celtic certainly weren't in
35:17dreamland at this point,
35:18Peter, but I mean, he does
35:19show great initiative, you'd
35:21have to say, with this goal.
35:21Yeah, he does.
35:22You always say you've always
35:23got to expect a defender or
35:24anybody, your defenders, to
35:25make mistakes, and he does
35:27make a mistake with
35:28young Dane Murray, but I
35:28agree with Andy, I thought
35:29he was outstanding, but this
35:30is a brilliant touch.
35:31I thought Aroha could get
35:32there at first, but he
35:33couldn't, but that there is a
35:35fantastic finish, and that's
35:36a striker playing with
35:37confidence, but yet again, I
35:38think it's because Nadiri's
35:39alongside him, allows other
35:42people to be occupied, and
35:43that is the difference, and
35:44that's the way I think you're
35:45seeing the best from him, and
35:46it's easier, I always feel,
35:48to be playing with two
35:49strikers, because if not,
35:50there's always a spare
35:51defender, and that's not
35:52happening when Rangers play
35:53with two up front.
35:54Great bat of magic from
35:55Youssef Chirmity there,
35:57conjured up in the first
35:58half, but like a lot of the
36:00Rangers players in the second
36:01half, they've vanished, and
36:03I've got to ask you, Peter,
36:05did you expect the sales that
36:06come back to come from the
36:07head of Kieran Tierney?
36:08No, I did not, but I'll tell
36:09you what, it's a fantastic
36:11play, they keep the ball
36:12alive, that's the biggest
36:13thing, you know, they kept
36:15moving the ball around
36:16about the box, Rangers
36:17tried to defend it well,
36:18they've got bodies in the
36:19box, the ball's coming
36:20across, it's cleared out,
36:21Celtic are in a good
36:22position now, because they're
36:23higher up the pitch, and it's
36:25so important that you keep
36:26the opposition in there,
36:28Tinecti is very direct here,
36:29and you think, maybe the
36:30chance is going to be lost,
36:31because Rangers have got the
36:32double cover, Hatati makes a
36:33movement round, he has a
36:35shot, you think it's locked,
36:35but Callum wins the ball,
36:37but this pass for me, this is
36:38the difference when you bring
36:39on quality, it's easy to cross
36:41that box, the ball into the
36:43box, you see Rangers defenders
36:43are set for the cross, but
36:45this pick out to Negrin, it
36:47goes to Callum first, who sets
36:48Negrin, but this pass here,
36:50Kieran's made a couple of
36:51movements like a striker,
36:52actually, to get that in the
36:54space between defenders, and it's
36:55a brilliant pick out, and a
36:57fantastic header, a textbook
36:58header, because you see header
36:59the ball down, but the pass, as I
37:01say, from Hatati, I don't think
37:03he'll get the credit for this,
37:04because you see Rangers go
37:05back onto their line, waiting
37:06the cross come in, but this
37:07pick out, set with Callum, and
37:09the wee lift here, Negrin
37:10and I expected to shoot all
37:11day long, because that's what
37:13he's been doing all season.
37:13I think Rangers defenders did
37:14as well.
37:14Absolutely, I think so too, I
37:15think Andy's right, it's a
37:17brilliant ball and a brilliant
37:18header.
37:18I mean, he's been, he's a great
37:20player obviously, Andy, but
37:21he's been a quiet leader in
37:24the last few weeks, and what
37:25have been difficult weeks for
37:26Celtic here in Tierney?
37:27Yeah, I think when he first
37:28came, he had obviously not
37:29played football for a long
37:30period of time, and he was
37:31struggling with some
37:32some niggering injuries, but
37:33I think over the last sort of
37:34month or two, you've seen
37:35Ciarán Tierney back to his
37:36best, and again, I mean,
37:37that's a proper striker's
37:38goal, he stays in the box,
37:40like Peter says, he has a
37:41couple of double movements,
37:42and he ends up ghosting in
37:43between Emmanuel Fernandes
37:44and Raskin, that is at the
37:45back post, and I think he
37:47actually reacts well to the
37:48cross, you know, we're
37:48talking about how we expected
37:50Negrin to shoot, the Rangers
37:51defenders probably the exact
37:52same, but it does well to be
37:53alive and get on the end,
37:55it's a fantastic header.
37:56A huge hand ball call,
37:57obviously, at the end,
37:58Dujon Sterling, unfortunate
38:00for the player, but it is
38:02a penalty, isn't it?
38:04Yeah, I don't think you can
38:04have too many complaints,
38:07I think when you see here,
38:08Dyson Meda makes a run to the
38:09front post, and John
38:10Suter does well to sit with
38:11him, but you see when James
38:13Forrest just mindsets a
38:14dink in this cross, that's
38:15Rangers two centre-halves,
38:16both of them in front of the
38:17near post, and for me,
38:19Emmanuel Fernandes has to
38:20check his shoulder, but
38:21John Suter also has to
38:22follow the run, and it's
38:23just an act of desperation
38:24for Dujon Sterling to try and
38:26fling his way in front of the
38:27header, and I think he does
38:28everything right, I think he
38:29has to try and repair the
38:30situation, but when you're in
38:32an act of desperation and your
38:34arms are spread and your legs
38:35are spread, something like that
38:36can happen, and it's really
38:37unfortunate for him, because
38:38like he says, he just tries to
38:40impede Maeda as best he
38:41possibly can, but I think what
38:43you can see, when it does hit
38:44his left arm, it's certainly
38:45going on target, it probably
38:47will lead to a goal, so I
38:49don't think he can have too
38:49many complaints that the
38:50penalty's awarded.
38:51Yeah, and unfortunate for Jack
38:52Butland as well, it does
38:53brilliantly.
38:54I thought it was a save, I
38:55mean, he's done fantastically
38:56well, but it was brilliant for
38:57James Forrest, but the first
38:58time you see Rio Hattati
38:59affecting it again, because
39:00they're in the box, Celtic
39:01have got bodies in the box,
39:03but it was brilliant to see a
39:04right winger going on the
39:05outside and taking someone
39:06and putting a fantastic cross
39:07in, at first no one noticed
39:08it, we thought Jack Butland's
39:10made, as you say, a
39:10fantastic save, didn't realise
39:12it's come off the player's
39:13arm, went onto his face, and
39:15it's obviously a massive
39:16calling, listen, we've got to
39:18give the referees and the
39:19VAR guys credit because
39:20they'd done it so quick
39:21because Celtic were ready to
39:22take the throw in very
39:23quickly, but to see that as
39:25quick as they did was
39:26fantastic, we gave them a
39:27lot of criticism, but to be
39:29fair to them, on that
39:30occasion, they got it 100%
39:32right.
39:32You just knew there was
39:33going to be a big VAR
39:34moment this weekend, and
39:36they got it right, no doubt
39:37about it.
39:38And in terms of the penalty
39:40goal from Rio Hattati, Peter,
39:41you'd have to say, it's
39:42almost like a metaphor for
39:43Celtic's title challenge
39:44right now, kind of bundling it
39:47over the line, keeping it
39:48alive just.
39:49But not only once, twice,
39:51and then I'm thinking that
39:52when it goes in at the
39:53back post, I'm not sure if
39:54it's Rio gets it, and I'm
39:55thinking, oh, they're going
39:56to shoot me, there's
39:56offside or something, because
39:58I think they actually looked
39:59at it first, before they
40:00gave the goal, because you
40:02think maybe Dyson made the
40:03touches at first, he
40:04maybe went inside the box,
40:05but when they checked it
40:06back, he was never inside
40:07the box.
40:08But I must admit, I didn't
40:09fancy Rio, because he's
40:10missed a couple.
40:11He's a wonderful player, he's
40:12a wonderful talent, but his
40:13set plays have not been
40:14that great, and he made a
40:15point earlier, that was
40:16Jack Buckland's...
40:17Yeah, so that's the fifth
40:18penalty that Jack Buckland's
40:19faced this season, he's
40:20saved all five.
40:21It's an unbelievable
40:23record, and any penalty
40:25saves is a good save, but
40:26it's actually the next
40:27one, it's the second save
40:28that he makes for the
40:29snapshot for Rio
40:30Hattie, and Jack Buckland
40:32must be absolutely fuming,
40:33because there's two or three
40:35Celtic players that are
40:36reacting to it to try and
40:37put in the list ball, and
40:38Rangers players just don't
40:39have the same desire to go
40:40and stop it, and to make
40:42two wonder saves at the
40:43dying embers of the game,
40:44and Rio Hattie be given a
40:45third opportunity, it
40:46must be raging.
40:47Well, it was an
40:47incredible game, and an
40:49incredible result for
40:50Motherwell and Hearts, you'd
40:51have to say, it's an
40:53incredible four-way title
40:55chase at the moment, and
40:56in terms of the fixtures
40:58for both, well, in fact,
41:00all four sides, there you
41:01can see it, you've got to
41:02ask the question, which
41:04side has got the easiest
41:05run-in until the split?
41:07Who are you going to go for,
41:08Peter Grant?
41:09I'm going to say Hearts
41:10have got the easiest, and
41:11Celtic have got the
41:12hardest.
41:13You would say that, of
41:14course you would.
41:16Andy, Motherwell player,
41:17former Rangers player,
41:18former Hearts player as
41:19well, as you'd say, what
41:20are you going for?
41:22I think on paper you've
41:23got to see Hearts giving
41:24their playing against three
41:25of the bottom four, but
41:26the season's shown you, you
41:27just can't predict anything,
41:28it's as simple as that, and
41:29I thought actually the game
41:30today between Rangers and
41:31Celtic, I thought epitomised
41:33the season, and probably
41:34epitomised the two teams,
41:35the inconsistency levels that
41:36they've shown throughout, but
41:38one thing's for sure, it's
41:39certainly exciting, it's only
41:40going to get better.
41:41It certainly is.
41:42Sunday is done, dusted and
41:44delivered, Saturday most
41:46definitely worth a recap.
41:54Spittle swiped that forward and
41:56Kapoor is in, big chance, and
42:00it's wide, the very definition
42:05of guilt-edged, and Pierre
42:08Landry Kapooray has been unable
42:10to take it, it's just one punt
42:13up the pitch from Spittle, and
42:15Kapooray was away, ready to
42:18celebrate, as was his manager.
42:23Don's nowhere near where they
42:25want to be, and certainly
42:26nowhere near when Alec Ferguson
42:28had them.
42:32This bit.
42:34Here's Keskinen, and on the
42:36Sanya, he's being marshaled by
42:38McCart in fairness, just a little
42:40warning for Hartz there.
42:44Pretty careless ball out of defence
42:46by Stein van Dijk.
42:49Now, Verdina being a tough
42:50watch for their fans, and I'm
42:52sure, Peter leaving himself.
43:00Spittle.
43:01Oh, it was Kapooray again, can he
43:03keep that in?
43:03Yes, he can.
43:05And he's got away from
43:06Morrison, who committed
43:07himself.
43:08Kapooray and Braga, and 1-0!
43:12It's been coming, and it's
43:15that man, Claudio Braga, again.
43:19And if Hartz are going to win the
43:21league, as they are now
43:23favourites to do, it'll be
43:28partly down to a man they
43:31wouldn't have even heard of
43:32before.
43:33The three at the back there,
43:35Halkic, Steinbender and
43:36McCart, away by Milne.
43:39Scored plenty of goals, hearts
43:41this season from that kind of
43:41situation, they may get one
43:42here, it's Braga!
43:44It's wide!
43:47And he had his head in his
43:49hands, and half of Tynecastle
43:51thought that had gone in as the
43:52net rippled.
43:54Magnussen back in, Kadori,
43:55Braga, it's just so simple,
43:57it's come off meet-off.
44:04Nielsen for Armstrong.
44:08Frame.
44:11Armstrong continues, he goes
44:12down, it's Frame.
44:16Lazatic poked away from him by
44:17Leonard.
44:19Nielsen for Armstrong.
44:22And he just taps it behind for
44:23the goal kick.
44:24He's protesting because he wants
44:26a penalty.
44:27Great touch that by Armstrong,
44:29he thinks that he's been fouled
44:30there.
44:32Nice Steinbender.
44:38Well, at the top of your screen,
44:41Tawanda Matsuanisi has gone down
44:43after an altercation with
44:45Vitsko Chevet.
44:48VAR having a look at that
44:50for potential violent conduct,
44:55which would mean, which would mean, if
44:57that were to be the case, a
44:58mother will penalty against Vitsko
45:01Chevet.
45:03And he's going to have a look at the
45:05monitor, Nick Walsh.
45:11Plenty deliberation going into this
45:13decision.
45:15Referee having a long look.
45:20Tenalty given.
45:25And a yellow card for Cheve.
45:31Well, we don't need to hear Jim Goodwin to
45:33know his reaction.
45:38This could be a milestone moment for
45:41Tawanda Matsuanisi.
45:43As he trots up and scores
45:46his 20th
45:48Motherwell goal of the season.
45:51Jens Bertolasco and his team are not
45:53screaming from the rooftops
45:55about the title race.
45:57Though they might just be in the
45:59process of
46:01elbowing themselves very much
46:03into the equation.
46:09Elliot Watt with a free kick for
46:11Motherwell.
46:12For Matsuanisi on the turns,
46:15taking a deflection and it's gone in.
46:1960 seconds after the restart.
46:22And Motherwell make it to, and that's
46:25worth a celebration.
46:28And with their record of clean sheets
46:31currently at 20.
46:33Maybe no way back already for Dundee
46:36United.
46:38It's Masuanisi to Cheve 0
46:40because that's taken a touch of
46:42Vizko-Cheve after the first half
46:45penalty.
46:46And that's 2-0.
46:51Spencer clips that forwards.
46:55Brozio.
46:56And McCann.
46:58Starting on the front foot here.
47:00Miller.
47:01One of the players of the season.
47:04And he combines with Tate.
47:06And he has space to pick out the cross.
47:08Oh, and Brown's picked out his own net.
47:11Horrific start for Kilmarnock.
47:14Utter joy at the Falkirk Stadium.
47:17Calvin Miller has wreaked havoc in the Achille defence.
47:22And an own goal gives Falkirk the advantage.
47:26Corner from Miller.
47:27Stewart saved.
47:29And turned in by Dylan Tate.
47:32Falkirk would not be denied a second for long.
47:38Roos does his best.
47:40But Tate is quickest to react and it's 2-0.
47:46And it comes.
47:48And Donaldson and Stewart.
47:52Lightning reactions from Barney Stewart.
47:58And it's a quite magnificent header.
48:01And for the second time this season.
48:03Kilmarnock are 3-0 down at Falkirk in the first half.
48:11Thompson.
48:14Kilty picks up.
48:16He's got a lot of room here, Greg Kilty.
48:17Options to his right.
48:18Goes himself.
48:19Oh, and why not?
48:23Emphatic reverse finish from Greg Kilty.
48:27Kilmarnock have a go back before half-time.
48:29And that could be significant.
48:35Dees header.
48:37Next goal in this game is crucial.
48:40McCann is rampaging forwards.
48:44Miller.
48:45You don't want to leave him one-on-one.
48:47Here he goes.
48:47Drills it in.
48:48And Stewart finishes.
48:53His second.
48:54Volkox fourth.
49:00It's Barney Stewart's fifth goal and he's on a hat-trick.
49:06Tate.
49:06It's too easy.
49:08He's got loads of options right and left.
49:13Finds Brogio here.
49:15Tate.
49:16Rolls it with the studs.
49:20And beats Roos from the edge of the box.
49:24It has been a five-star performance from Falkirk.
49:31O'Hara has moved forward.
49:34Tanzer looks up.
49:35Swings the crossover.
49:37Richardson.
49:38Oh, dips off the crossbar.
49:40Kabongolo heads to safety.
49:43What a chance for Jadon Richardson.
49:45He's so delicate with the header.
49:50Killeen Phillips looks long for Nlundaloo.
49:53And he wins the race.
49:55In behind the defence.
49:57Kabongolo recovers for now.
50:00Nlundaloo.
50:01The ball's still sticking.
50:02Livingston claim.
50:03O'Hara has it.
50:05Tangsert.
50:07This is Richardson.
50:10Mikel Mandron.
50:12Nlundaloo.
50:16St Mirrener ahead.
50:19Dan Nlundaloo with the looping header.
50:23Look at this delightful little chip from Mandron.
50:26Nlundaloo rising the highest.
50:31First-time delivery into the box.
50:34Kabongolo's there.
50:35And Kabongolo nets.
50:40A Livingston equaliser.
50:43And Marvin Bartley wants to use that momentum.
50:46It's goals in back-to-back games for the French defender.
50:54Barry McKay.
50:56Livingston pushing.
50:58Great work from Noobly.
51:02Goes for the cross.
51:03There's a tango.
51:05The Livingston support scream.
51:07Play continues.
51:08Back in.
51:09Tanzer heads out.
51:11Bukhila's unhappy.
51:13He thought there was something in this.
51:19Dundee have lost each of their last three league meetings with Hibbs.
51:22But the deformed team in the bottom six.
51:26They have to defend in the early stages here.
51:29Cadden to deliver.
51:30Oh, and Elding in the middle.
51:32Oh, and Elding powers a header in that puts Hibbs ahead in the opening stages of this one.
51:39And that's his second goal already for Hibbs.
51:42His first was a glanced header against St Mirren.
51:44That was a header of a different calibre.
51:47He absolutely bullets that in.
51:51He's got a good start.
51:51He's got a good start.
51:51Fine start for David Gray's side.
51:54They've never lost when going in front.
51:57Simon Murray, the flag has stayed down.
51:59He's in behind here.
52:00The shot takes a wicked deflection.
52:03And Dundee hits straight back.
52:08Simon Murray with the goal.
52:10Four in his last three now.
52:13It's Rocky Bashiri.
52:15Doesn't close Simon Murray down.
52:17And it then just comes off Bashiri and spins away.
52:20And you can see Murray is on sight.
52:27Congreve delivers to the front post.
52:29Cleared away at the first time of asking.
52:31Comes back in.
52:32And there's Luke Graham.
52:34And Dundee go ahead for the first time in this game.
52:37He's taken that like a centre-forward Luke Graham.
52:41Drifts away.
52:42No one picking him up.
52:43And he emerges through the bodies to volley that one home.
52:49Ethan Hamilton.
52:52He's been vital for Dundee in recent weeks.
52:55But this time he's run up a cul-de-sac.
52:59Boyle with the ball over the top.
53:01Looking for Ante Souto.
53:02Oh, it's a lovely touch from Souto.
53:03And it's not a bad finish either.
53:05Souto makes it 2-2 at Dens.
53:08I'm sure the VAR will be having a look to see if that is offside.
53:11But Souto just kills the ball with his first touch.
53:15And leaves John McCracken in no-man's land.
53:18And he's onside as well.
53:23Hibs now going in search of a winner.
53:26McGrath shifts away from a couple.
53:28And finds the bottom corner.
53:32Hibs are ahead.
53:34And it's delight at Dens.
53:37It's absolutely brilliant from Jamie McGrath.
53:40Just drops the shoulder and finds the space.
53:44And drills the pole past John McCracken.
53:48Hibs just have to see this out now.
53:50But Dundee will throw everything at it.
53:57Curls to the back post.
53:59Headed away.
54:00Hamilton nods down.
54:02Congreve on the edge of the box!
54:04How about that?
54:06Cam Congreve!
54:10Dundee have rescued a point!
54:13Stephen Presley's side have snatched a draw at the very last second.
54:20Congreve with the last kick of the ball makes it 3-3.
54:26And this is how the William Hill Premiership table looks this evening.
54:29Hearts on top by 6 points.
54:31They're on 63 points.
54:33Rangers in second place on 57.
54:36Celtic in third on 55 points.
54:39They have a game in hand.
54:40Motherwell on 53.
54:42They also have a game in hand.
54:44At the bottom, Livingston, as we say almost every week,
54:47look doomed on 14 points.
54:49Let's talk about the title race, though,
54:51with Andy Halliday and Peter Grant.
54:52Because it is the only show in town.
54:54And Andy, you have been consistent all season.
54:56You've stuck with Hearts.
54:57You've been on the Hearts train throughout.
54:59Are you sticking with it?
55:01I think I've got to.
55:02I think the last couple of weeks
55:03has only really strengthened Hearts' position
55:05at the top of the table.
55:06And I think given that they lose that big game at Ibrox 4-2
55:09and I think everyone just expected that was it.
55:12Hearts' bubble is going to burst.
55:14But it's actually been.
55:15Hearts have done their business over the last two weekends
55:17in Rangers and Celtic at both top points.
55:19So, I mean, it's incredible.
55:21But that's 22 weeks now.
55:22Hearts may at the top of the table.
55:24So, they're well-merited to be up there.
55:25They've been the most consistent team throughout the season.
55:28Listen, they've got some big games to come.
55:30And I'm sure that Rangers Celtic and Motherwell, may I add,
55:32or whatever I say in it.
55:33Simple question, Peter.
55:34Who are you backing?
55:36It's for Hearts to lose.
55:37There's no doubt that.
55:38You'd rather be in, I've always said,
55:39you'd rather be in first place.
55:40All your games played, forget catch-up games, whatever.
55:43I think it's always important you're at the front.
55:46But the guys behind them,
55:47Hearts will know they'll be breathing down their neck
55:49and there's pressure on them.
55:50I think one of the next league games,
55:51they play after everyone.
55:53They definitely play after Celtic.
55:55So, there's a possibility
55:57Motherwell could get close to them as well,
55:58whoever wins that particular match.
56:01So, Motherwell are definitely not out it.
56:03There is absolutely no doubt in that.
56:04Motherwell are definitely not out it.
56:05But I think Hearts in pole position.
56:07Andy, you're a Motherwell player.
56:08Are you not contractually obliged to say,
56:10Motherwell are going to win the title?
56:12I'm trying to do the opposite.
56:13I'm trying to play down the chances
56:15and let the players do what they've done
56:16and just do their talking on the pitch.
56:17I think the manager and the players
56:19have took a brilliant approach
56:22of taking that game at a time.
56:23So, I'll not interfere with that.
56:25Andy, Peter, thank you very much indeed.
56:27Plenty of good stuff on the way
56:29of a football nature.
56:31And there we have it.
