05:08now we were all sad when cornbread sent a tape message that she had to leave the competition early
05:13i rolled my ankle and the doctor gave me orders to stay off of my feet for six to eight
05:18weeks
05:19oh cornbread how did it feel re-watching that moment
05:22um being told that you know all right girl that's it for you
05:26it was crushing but watching it on the tv it's like okay cool
05:28it's more settled in your spirit of like what happened but still not fun i wish i was there
05:33maybe snatch game would have been better
05:39so cornbread you opened up about your relationship with your family let's take a look
05:45growing up i had my moments of extreme flamboyancy and my mom she would not like it
05:50and she would state that she did not like it
05:53it's hard to like find an acceptance and i just
06:01i felt like such a disappointment for a long time
06:04i would just literally sometimes go to sleep so disappointed in myself and i would just pray
06:10that i didn't wake up
06:14when i was around 16 years old i ended up moving in with one of my theater friends and
06:19my family didn't look for me and i was literally around the corner
06:27has your relationship with your family changed since the show it has drastically these moments
06:32being brought up were moments i didn't know i needed and actually needed and my family had to watch this
06:36without having a rebuttal for what i had to say so i honestly think this was the best moment for
06:40it
06:40to happen yes have you seen them since oh yeah um i just recently went home to south carolina to
06:45do a gig
06:45um i didn't know columbia south carolina um had a drag scene who would have known honey
06:49my entire family showed up to my my drag show um which was freaking amazing
06:53we had a little cookout girl i showed up in geesh had the inches down the bad girl the titties
06:57pushed up
06:57rupaul's drag race still bringing families together
07:02now in a season of sisterly love there was still a lot of drama mama

07:16i didn't do a gown i tried to do something a little bit different but i couldn't understand

09:24was not for that conversation with cornbread the way i handled this entire season would have not
09:28happened i will say that i'm kind of proud that your attitude moving forward after that was always
09:33like relentlessly positive yes kind of like you know how you're trying to kill a cockroach and it

10:57i did hear that you had said some things about me that you have not yet said to my face
11:04wheelchair like what along the lines of i rely on my body jasmine literally wrapped just fabric
11:10around her body with a belt it's just like so annoying when someone has a perfect physique and
11:14they can get away with wrapping a piece of fucking fabric around their body
11:17yeah i said that i did but not to me i was just shading you because your outfit was bad
11:25honestly dia is upset because she hasn't won anything yet but girl you weren't in the top
11:30for that challenge because your shit was wrinkled and it looked ugly willow puts me in a group with
11:35jasmine jasmine's like an energy vampire no offense jasmine no offense george's but
11:41you've been in the bottom a lot no offense and it's starting to really piss me the fuck off
11:50oh my god girl instead of saying no offense it's kind of just a buffer okay why don't you just

11:59that it's personal but it's a little personal because you have come from me and george's before
12:02in the past and then you group us again last time because you guys got harsh critiques which we all

12:21regret anything i say or i've done and i don't i firmly believe in speaking up for how you feel
12:29now watching myself back where i might have faltered and what i've learned from the experience is
12:34the classic saying like it's not necessarily what you say but how you say it but girl i said what

12:40i don't take any of that shit back i was being honest jasmine said things at the wrong time
12:44i it was always like when we were prepping for the challenge or when we were really stressed out
12:49about something and she always chimed in right where she knew my sweet spot was you know jasmine

13:02me for nine weeks straight instead of coming towards my drag you came towards who i was as a person
13:07you called me an energy vampire you were you were i think you were looking in the mirror when you
13:13said that i know vampires can't see their reflections but baby you would attack people
13:17non-fucking-stop just so you would be fine no matter what place you were at like you could have
13:23been
13:23safe attack me and george's because we're in the bottom and we didn't get sent home you really went
13:26hard on me for no reason half the time and i took it for nine fucking weeks straight just saying
13:31and you know what you gave it back which i can appreciate in a respectful way though and not in
13:35a rude
13:35way let's hear what the other queens have to say about the situation this is a big one i would

13:39to say something because honestly like with me and jasmine it felt like you didn't respect us
13:43at all like watching it it just showed like i felt like you respected everyone else i really want to
13:48make this clear to both of you okay it might have felt personal and i completely understand your point

15:00daya betty is genuinely a great person but in the competition setting everyone handles stress
15:06differently in a stressful situation she went in completely unfiltered so she said something to you
15:11it wasn't personal it was what she was seeing from the judges and voicing it was it right no but
15:17that's how she was handling the competition and the pressure that she was under i hear but does it
15:21mean that she's a bad person right she's not a bad person because outside the competition
15:27hold on one second daya you're feeling some kind of way right now you have tears in your eyes
15:31what's going on it's just like i'm not that person and i feel like everybody has this terrible idea of
15:38who i am and i'm not like i'm not i just like had my head in the game and like
15:43had my eyes on the
15:45prize what she said were things that we were all thinking stuff we said even if it was like off
15:49camera
15:49whispered like and we were all being shady to an extent and saying stuff but you said like a lot
15:53of like the shadiest shit every one of your confessionals was like saying shady things and
15:58it was your opinion and it was valid and it was fair and so was hers and i feel like
16:01people are
16:02really gassing up this moment please let me finish god it's i feel like what's happening right now is
16:06not fair to her she didn't say anything that was like unforgivable not only just in her mind
16:10because we talk about the after bullshit because she hasn't talked to me at all since fucking

17:28nobody is asking her to be perfect and yes there are times you're shady bitch we all have been

25:29now were you surprised by the reaction from the fans going on to the show i knew there was going
25:37to be like some negativity some pushback i didn't expect the polarizing levels especially like online
25:41it's like wow we support this this is amazing and wonderful and then another half the people were
25:46like this is the worst thing to happen in drag history but i mean like no matter what i knew
25:50i had
25:50the support like i like this cast and i'm just really appreciative of like them and all the
25:54people that have supported me like up in my drag journey yeah angie tell me why you were so behind
26:00metamorphosis i believe in all kinds of expression when it comes to drag and like seeing maddie
26:05was something that was so inspired to me now i will say it was something i had never heard of
26:09and when i heard it for the first time i was like girl what oh okay but i wanted to
26:15get to know
26:15more of it i was like okay yeah alissa what'd you think i need to support you there's some people
26:20that they through shade about you in twitter but no matter what we are artists and you are here for
26:25a reason to make a difference in the world so maddie what do you hope people have learned from your
26:31experience on drag race i've had a lot of people in my inboxes or at shows tell me like you're
26:36going
26:36to inspire so many other like straight men who want to do drag and that's never been my narrative
26:39i've never been saying everyone should should do drag because i think a lot of people shouldn't do
26:42drag drag is rooted in queer culture queer history it's a queer art form and if you are remotely
26:47like homophobic like you have to work on yourself first and men should explore their femininity
26:51so many bad things come from toxic masculinity homophobia transphobia and i'm not going to
26:55change the world i'm not going to be what brings the damn down i'm just going to be another crack

32:35like holy fuck like i put myself out there in a way i don't think i ever knew i could
32:42i'm happy i
32:43said it yeah because i don't have to live in fear of it anymore and carrie what was going through

33:15inside yourself and then it flows outward and i feel like a lot of time when i'm in my you

33:21cities visiting people many many many of my beautiful angels that visit me are either trans figuring
33:26themselves out parents of trans people and it's so emotional because i'm able to give what i always
33:32wish i would have had absolutely because you live in your truth has prompted other people to say you
33:37know what i think i can do it too and i don't get emotional a lot um but every time
33:44i do get
33:44emotional honestly it's because what i think of my girls my beautiful angels i really am reminded
33:51at just how proud i am of all of y'all each one of you owned yourself and especially you

33:56you you put yourself out there you talked about who you are and then to see who you are today

48:31talking about thank you wanda sykes and what was your high my highest point was also involving rupaul
48:39when she told me you know i really didn't expect all of this from you and i went what does

49:58become the catalyst to move you forward you know percent all right lady camden what was your low
50:03point i think my low point was watching myself in the girl group challenge in a bob with a huge
50:10underlash and too much white eyeliner and then realizing that i looked the spitting image of
50:14the old man from family guy do you guys know the old creepy neighbor in drag i literally look exactly
50:23like that and it will forever fucking stay with me it's true though it's funny it's true it's really
50:31devastating i love that so that was a low point i'm not gonna lie what was your high point throughout
50:37the competition i felt very underestimated and to win three challenges and to impress rue and impress the
50:43judges in a way that i think maybe surprised you guys was just like a really really big moment in
50:48my life and i will never forget it yes i love that all right and also amazing angeria and finally
50:57willow peel what was your low point i think honestly my low point was when cornbread left and it's not
51:03because i love cornbread just because i hate everyone else so much she said the one person the one person
