30:18The self-doubt of me and the confident in me are both real.
30:22It's like, looking at all of these girls, they're all so confident and so sure of themselves.
30:27It's just so hard to keep up, I feel like.
30:30I don't usually share that easily my emotion and in this moment, somehow it's just bubbling out.
30:36Sometimes we stand in the way of our own greatness.
30:38You are so talented and so great and you wouldn't be here if you weren't.

31:03How did you end up getting out of engineering and sort of pursuing dance?

31:12I just didn't think it was a possible career for me.
31:16I guess my plan was I was going to go to school for engineering, get a good job and be
31:22alone my entire life.

31:26And being closeted my entire life.
31:27Like, I was so adamant on, like, this can't be a thing.

31:32Sophomore year of college, I actually got hit by a car when I was biking home from a class.

31:37And shortly after that, I was just kind of like, life is so fucking short.
31:42I love to dance and I need to follow my dreams.
31:45And shortly after that, I pretty much came out of the closet.
31:48I sat down with my parents and they were fully supportive of me pursuing my dreams.
31:53They just asked that I finish my degree.
31:56And I was like, yeah, I will absolutely do that for you guys.
31:58I actually, I do connect a lot with, with your story.
32:01Like, I literally quit ballroom dance because somebody told me that it was gay.
32:04You know, I was closeted, you know, I went to college and like being closeted, it like really weighs heavily

32:11It like affects really every part of your life.
32:13I didn't want to disappoint my family.
32:15I was scared, but ultimately I found the courage to come out to my parents.
32:22I didn't embrace being gay until I started cross-dressing.
32:25So my entry into like the gay world was really just through drag.
32:29We came to a compromise.
32:30You know, I could continue essentially doing drag if I finished my education.
32:37And now I'm finishing a degree in marketing.
32:40I have now been doing both school and drag in tandem with one another.
32:44I'm pursuing my fever dream of being a silly clown, drag queen, diva.
