00:00A blast of early spring chill is going to be returning to the Great Lakes and much of the northeast,
00:06even into the southeast.
00:07Some areas are going to challenge or break record lows on Saturday night to Sunday morning.
00:12So many of us are going to be about 5 to 10 degrees below historical averages.
00:16Certainly a chilly weekend, but a generally decent one for the Derby in Louisville.
00:20Friday night into early Saturday morning, many of us will get into the 30s in the interior northeast and across
00:26the Midwest, some in the upper Midwest, deep into the 20s.
00:28There will be some frost and a freeze for many in the interior.
00:33It won't be as long-lasting or as widespread as the highly disruptive damaging frost and freeze from a couple
00:39of weeks ago,
00:40but this one will still be hazardous for any plants that have started the growing process.
00:44Very chilly this weekend.
00:45When it comes to records, we're expecting to see many areas challenge or break some long-standing record lows in
00:52parts of Mississippi and Alabama
00:53and even Parkersburg, West Virginia, Saturday night into Sunday morning.
00:57Still chilly out there through Sunday morning.
01:00Widespread frost or freeze in the interior.
01:03Cover those plants or bring them in if you're in the affected area.
01:06And keep an eye on the AccuWeather app for those alerts.
01:08We're going to stay chilly or very cool into early parts of next week before a temporary warm-up.
01:13First 15 minutes.
01:13Let's go.
