00:00The first Saturday of May is almost upon us. It's derby time at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
00:06Now, before the derby, the Kentucky Oaks will be run on Friday.
00:10It's going to be chilly out there, not terribly cold, but keep the cool air in mind when you're making
00:15those wardrobe selections.
00:17Temperatures 5 to 15 degrees below historical averages both Friday and Saturday.
00:21Could be a brief passing shower early Friday, hours before the Kentucky Oaks runs will be dry for the event.
00:28So the Oaks itself, 56 degrees at 840 on Friday evening.

00:35It'll be light breeze from the northwest at around 9 miles per hour.
