00:02Whoooaaaaaaaa!
00:04What are you doing now?
00:05I'm at the carnival.
00:06Cotton candy 5-hour energy.
00:08It tastes like a carnival!
00:09Zero sugar!
00:10That actually sounds pretty good.
00:11Yeah, you want to take a ride with me?
00:13No. I don't do that.
00:14We always are.
00:26This is a larger Canadian lady who was stuck in a hole.
00:33No, like she was really actually stuck.
00:36Like really in a hole.
00:38Oh, no, that's not stuck.
00:39Let me show you.
00:40Let me find him a real video.
00:42What you doing down there?
00:44Do you want to see a big lady stuck?
00:46We'll get a big lady stuck.
00:47No, no, no.
00:48No.
00:49This 58-year-old lady in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
00:53got stuck after falling into a hole outside her home.
00:58Do you know how many holes there are in Winnipeg, Manitoba?
01:01There's just holes everywhere.
01:03Here's the story from CBC News.
01:06That's Christine Keelback in the middle,
01:08surrounded by firefighters, stuck in a hole,
01:12her head above ground.
01:14It's not how she expected her Saturday night to end
01:16after seeing a movie with friends.
01:19The ground had just given away very fast.
01:22I have no recollection of the fall.
01:24It just happened very quickly.
01:26Keelback says she didn't see anything on the boulevard
01:29that looked like a problem.
01:30Oh, no.
01:30Her friend captured video of firefighters
01:33pulling her to save.
01:34Thank you, friend.
01:35She's got to be like winched out of there
01:37with a special lift.
01:39Yeah, they built a thing.
01:39She can't just climb?
01:41No.
01:41No, I think she was pinned almost down
01:43with like her arms in, you know?
01:46Oh, I don't want to be lifted out like that.
01:49Give me some dignity.
01:50So embarrassing.
01:51Just like shovel around me so I can crawl out.
01:54I know.
01:56Don't pull me up with a crane.
01:58Oh, man.
02:00...that looked like a problem.
02:01Her friend captured video of firefighters
02:04pulling her to safety.
02:06She had tried to get out on her own.
02:08Couldn't get a toe hold.
02:10Every time I tried to stick my foot
02:12into the dirt around me,
02:13it was just crumbling away.
02:15And I sort of realized after a few minutes
02:18that the left side, the soil was less stable
02:20than it was on the right side.
02:22Keelback is grateful to her friends,
02:25neighbors, and firefighters.
02:26She says the rescue crews got there in about 10 minutes,
02:30reassured her,
02:31and walked her through their plan to get her out.
02:34They also removed a piece of metal from behind her.
02:37How long was she in there?
02:37It was like sunny.
02:37I was so lucky because there was also
02:39an old pipe in front of me
02:41about the level of my abdomen,
02:43so I could have hit that on the way down.
02:46So if you think about it,
02:47from the metal behind and the pipe in front,
02:49I was very, very lucky that I didn't get hurt.
02:52Keelback estimates the whole ordeal
02:54lasted about 40 minutes.
02:56I can now check that off my list of life experiences.
02:59I should never fall into a sinkhole again.
03:03She's going to go to that too.
03:04I'm just interested intellectually,
03:06like what they think happened
03:08and how it's repaired.
03:10Just, yeah, I'm glad it was me
03:12and not a child or an animal
03:15because I was still above the ground when I fell in.
03:18Maybe somebody else wouldn't have been.
03:20The city says at this point,
03:21they don't believe it's a true sinkhole
03:23and appears to be related to a missing
03:25or displaced manhole or catch basin cover.
03:28The hole is covered now.
03:30A spokesperson says crews found similar conditions
03:33across the street
03:34and are determining how to repair both areas.
03:38Alana Cole, CBC News, Winnipeg.
03:40Scrappers.
03:42Scrappers taking the manhole.
03:44If it was a manhole.
03:45That's not a manhole in the middle of a lawn.
03:48I mean, I have one in the middle of my lawn.
03:50Like this?
03:51I'd be right in the sewer.
03:52Yeah.
03:53I think about the difference of her positive attitude
03:55and spin about the hole thing
03:57and if you fell into a sinkhole
03:59and were stuck in there.
04:01I'll be honest, Liz.
04:02I'll be pretty upset, too,
04:03if you're taking a video.
04:04Imagine his news interview would be so cool.
04:06I'm going to be like,
04:07Liz, when I get out of this manhole,
04:09you better not be sharing that video.
04:11I see what you're doing.
04:12Oh, she's live streaming.
04:14I'm watching it all live.
04:14This case for a lawsuit or something.
04:16I'm not going to share with anyone.
04:18I promise.
04:19My phone is giving me notifications
04:21that you've tagged me in a video.
04:24Why have you tagged?
04:25Oops, I didn't mean to tag.
04:26It says right here,
04:27Chuck the Freak tagged in video.
04:29The video's title is
04:31Chuck's in a Sewer Hole.
04:34Liz?
04:35I have to lift you up.
04:37Oh, here's a new one that just came in.
04:39They're building a crane for Chuck.
04:43Ha, ha, ha.
04:45Ha, ha, ha.
04:46He can't get out himself.
04:48It wouldn't be as positive.
04:49No, my God, no.
04:51So I guess her friend gave her
04:53like a broom and a snow shovel
04:55to kind of brace her,
04:56trying to brace her.
04:57From going deeper, maybe.
04:59Or I thought maybe she could use it
05:00to try and push herself up.
05:01Oh, maybe.
05:02She thought, but she didn't have the strength to do it.
05:04Hang on a minute.
05:05Let me get a shovel and a broom
05:07so we can get you out of there.
05:09Thanks, Liz.
05:10Thanks, Liz, for the shovel and broom.
05:12Can you lift up?
05:14I don't know.
05:14Can I lift 200 and something pounds?
05:17Lisa would be hiding behind something
05:18because she'd be laughing so hard.
05:19Oh, my God.
05:20Dying.
05:21Everything okay, Trey?
05:22Like when I was almost kissed by that man.
05:24She'd be laughing that hard.
05:26She'd be laughing that hard.
05:28She'd laugh so hard.
05:29You guys are not going to believe this,
05:33but I just saw Chuck fall into a sinkhole.
05:39It is hilarious.
05:41L-O-L-O-L-O-L-O-L-O.
05:46That would be Chuck luck, though.
05:48Chuck's just head sticking out of his sinkhole.
05:50It would be.
05:51Hold on a second.
05:51He's asking for my help or something.
05:55I've got a shovel and like a broom I'm going to just give him.
05:59I don't know.
06:00He can't get out.
06:01He's stuck.
06:01He's totally stuck.
06:04Get a close-up of your face.
06:07He's looking real happy.
06:08I mean, like, oh, my God.
06:10Oh, I know.
06:12Be careful.
06:12You don't want to be in a sinkhole, Chuck.
06:14No, I don't.
06:15I don't.
06:16You never know when one's going to get you.
06:18You never do.
06:19Be careful.
06:19Somehow the grass is fine, but underneath it's nothing, and then you're in it.
06:25Hmm.
