00:03By now, we all know that bacon fat is the hottest commodity in any southern kitchen.
00:07But do you know how to save and store it?
00:09After you've cooked your bacon, let the drippings cool in the pan for about 10 or so minutes.
00:13While it's still warm and liquidy, line a strainer with a coffee filter and place it over a bowl.
00:17Carefully pour the bacon fat into the filter to strain out all the cooked bits.
00:20It's like panning for gold.
00:22All of that beautiful bacon fat will last longer and taste better, thanks to this one easy step.
