00:05Take my thing with me.
00:06Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at 10 of the greatest extraction shooters that you can
00:13play right now.
00:14Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays and ring
00:20the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:24The Forever Winter
00:30Getting tired of the usual military man in a future apocalypse setting?
00:34Well, The Forever Winter has a world that might spice things up for you.
00:39Rather than shoot and loot enemies, you must traverse a wasteland ruled by giant robots and loot corpses for materials.
00:47Of course, you will have your own means to defend yourself, but The Forever Winter wants you to prioritize survival
00:53way more than kill count.
00:55Sneak past enemies, run away, anything that ensures you will live by the end of this.
01:01So, don't get too crazy with approaching enemies and engaging in fights and just being antagonistic.
01:07Get in, grab stuff, get out.
01:18Zero Sievert
01:26So, maybe you're not super crazy about playing with other players and prefer to stay in your single player cave.
01:33Well, Zero Sievert is perfect for those of you flying solo.
01:37In addition to having a top-down perspective to freshen things up, this game keeps things tense by procedurally generating
01:43new layouts every time you enter a new biome.
01:46No run is ever the same, much like your typical roguelikes and roguelites.
01:51There is also a much deeper focus on weapon customization to refine your playstyle.
01:56Just know that even a tiny bit of progress isn't going to make things any easier.
02:01It'll be just as difficult as the more multiplayer-focused extraction shooters.
02:06Witchfire
02:07Much like Zero Sievert, Witchfire takes great pride in offering an extraction shooter experience
02:13to those wanting to play by themselves, and it comes boasting an imaginative art direction, too.
02:20Though looting and getting out is still a key part of the gameplay loop, Witchfire wants you to actually spend
02:25time with your weapons.
02:27You'll only lose resources instead of gear upon death.
02:30It's caused some to reconsider its categorization, but that's really dependent on how hardcore you may be into the subgenre.
02:36Even so, Witchfire is one worth looking into if you're craving a dark fantasy game.
02:43Arena Breakout Infinite
02:51We promised the rest of this list isn't going to be too much Military Man and Survival Apocalypse setting with
02:56Word Vomit title,
02:57but Arena Breakout Infinite is much better than its name would imply.
03:01This extraction shooter is more for the speed freaks and twitch shooter players.
03:06No longer do you have to worry about someone having higher stats and better loot than you,
03:10as everything here comes down to traversal and precision.
03:14Here's your weapon, here's the map, go hunt your fellow players down like the vermin they are.
03:19Get out, and you get to carry your loadout into the next game.
03:22Die, and poof!
03:24It's gone, it's all gone.
03:26But it's hard feeling down about that when games go by so quickly,
03:30and that kind of frenetic pacing makes it easy to jump in and jump out of the game whenever you
03:35please.
03:42Dark and Darker
03:50Whereas most extraction shooters require some kind of payment,
03:55Dark and Darker is best for those of you on a tighter budget, as it is a free-to-play
03:59title.
04:00Not only that, but it boasts a fun Dungeons & Dragons vibe where you will explore a labyrinthian dungeon,
04:06crawling with monsters as well as other players.
04:09It'll be up to you and the others whether you want to escape together or betray one another for better
04:15loot.
04:15Just keep in mind that no matter what you decide to do, the environment doesn't make things any better.
04:20Hope it was worth being a traitorous peasant.
04:31Escape from Duck-Off
04:40This is certainly the most unique looking extraction shooter on the market.
04:44Yes, this is a parody of Escape from Tarkov, but with rubber duckies instead of gritty soldiers and survivalists.
04:51However, this is one of the more chill extraction shooters you can play.
04:55There is still some tension between fighting hordes of enemies and managing your inventory,
04:59but the difficulty is deeply customizable, allowing you to make things as hard or as easy as you want.
05:05Plus, death doesn't mean losing literally everything, so if you're new to the genre,
05:11Escape from Duck-Off is the perfect game to help you get acquainted.
05:21Hunt Showdown 1896
05:31If, for whatever reason, you feel other extraction shooters aren't tense enough,
05:36then maybe Hunt Showdown will suffice.
05:38On the surface, this may seem a bit like Dead by Daylight for extraction shooter fans,
05:43with its wide range of equippable perks and creatively designed hunters.
05:47But the game does not care about your fancy hunters and their cool cosmetics.
05:52In Hunt Showdown, you need to be smart and track your targets carefully,
05:57as death means your hunter is gone for good.
06:01Well, if you manage to get past Bloodline rank 11.
06:04Should they die after that point, there is no retry.
06:08They are gone from your account for good.
06:11Ain't no room here to be bumming around like Elmer Fudd.
06:19Hell Divers 2
06:25Say what you will about Sony's failed live service initiative,
06:29but there's no denying the booming success that is Hell Divers 2.
06:33From the very beginning, the game makes it clear that you are going to die quite a bit throughout your
06:38fight for democracy,
06:39and you're going to do so in some ridiculous ways.
06:42As for the gameplay, players have found a ton of enjoyment in the gunplay,
06:47customizing loadouts, and pairing up to take down vicious insects, robots, and the like.
06:52Whether you're on PC or PlayStation 5,
06:55Hell Divers 2 is definitely a game that you and your buds might get hooked on for a while,
06:59if not a few weekends.
07:07Arc Raiders
07:15Yeah, it was only a matter of time before we got to this one.
07:18Arc Raiders has been one of the more surprising successes within the genre,
07:22as some folks aren't super keen on the aesthetic.
07:25Regardless, players are enjoying themselves with some of the most absurd encounters imaginable.
07:30Killer drones, giant robots, backstabbing teammates, the whole nine yards.
07:36Unless you take your game time seriously, Arc Raiders might be a fun time for you.
07:41Just don't be surprised if nobody trusts you from the very beginning,
07:44and guns you down the second they spot you.
07:47And don't forget to grab the alloy from the machines you bring down.
07:59Before we continue, check out this single from Sound Mojo's album current, EDM Transformed.
08:04Check out the full track and album below.
08:19And lastly, Marathon.
08:23Prepare for increased hostile action.
08:28It may be the new kid on the block compared to our other entries.
08:32Nevertheless, Marathon is one of the most popular extraction shooters you can jump into,
08:37and it's fairly friendly to newcomers of all kinds.
08:40In addition to gathering materials for profit and finding obscenely broken weaponry,
08:45Marathon really shines at the end of every season,
08:48as new locations unlock, such as the Cryo Archive.
08:51Expect every player to bring their best gear into missions.
08:55But once the season ends, everyone goes through a complete reset.
09:00All gear is wiped, forcing everybody to grind for brand new equipment before the next big finale.
09:06Those who love long-term investments like this will find solace in Marathon.
09:12Have you tried any of these games for yourself?
