00:39And if you're watching at just the right moment,
00:48You'll catch your neighbors when they thought no one was looking.
00:54I panicked, started running as fast as I could.
00:59Come join.
01:07The neighborhood watch.
01:10You are currently being recorded.
01:29This man is talking to his social media followers.
01:32Good morning!
01:34Just checking in on this Monday morning.
01:37Let y'all know the day for...
01:38Oh!
01:41Oh!
01:45Dude, best hands in the state.
01:48Best hands in the state!
01:49Why better hands?
01:59A police officer is chasing a teen accused of stealing liquor from a store.
02:04Target!
02:05Alcohol retail theft is a common thing in our area.
02:09So when I've arrived, I've seen two teens in the woods unloading a shopping cart.
02:15Usually in these types of situations, they'll either give up or they'll run.
02:19And this kid decided to run.
02:23It went a long ways through the woods, up a hill, through a creek.
02:28So at this point, as I come around the side of the house, I lost sight of them.
02:32No officer wants to have to ever say, I lost sight of them.
02:35But then looking up and down the street, and I don't see them.
02:37And I know I should see them.
02:39Did you see where he went?
02:40I don't see anybody.
02:42There was a moment where you do feel like your reputation might be at stake.
02:46You don't want to become the guy that they get away from.
02:49So after losing sight of the kid, I noticed the house had cameras.
02:54Hello?
02:55Is someone there?
02:56Yes, this is Officer Sawyer with Gardner Police Department.
02:59Hi.
03:00What can I help you with?
03:01Yes, I just chased the subject around your house.
03:04I looked exhausted.
03:05I was very out of breath.
03:06I'm wet because I ran through a creek.
03:08I fell up coming up a wall.
03:10It's not what I wanted for my day.
03:14Officers were finally arriving in the area, and they were checking it.
03:16No one was seeing anything.
03:18All right, I'm fine.
03:18If you could check, see if your camera picked up any motion.
03:23We're looking for a subject in a red t-shirt.
03:25Okay, I'll check number one.
03:27Wait a second.
03:27Yep.
03:37He's in my trash can.
03:39He's in my dumpster in my backyard.
03:41Where's that at?
03:41He's in my trash can by my garage.
03:44When she said he was in her garbage can, that caught me off guard.
03:48It's not what I expected to hear.
03:52Hey!
03:53Open that red.
03:54Now I know you're in the way.
03:55The other officer with me, he had the less lethal taser out, and I made the decision to open the
04:01trash can to find out if he was in there.
04:03Get off!
04:03The trash can was empty of trash.
04:05He was looking up at me, and I was kind of taken back because I really honestly didn't expect him
04:10to be in there.
04:11He just said, it's over, I'm done.
04:19What is this kid thinking?
04:20Again, we're going to do this over again.
04:23I don't want to run anymore.
04:24You know it's over.
04:28A little after 5 a.m. the next morning, sitting at roll call, my cell phone started dinging, and I
04:35was getting video clips from TikTok.
04:37People didn't know the whole story, and they were making comments about that cop's running in slow-mo, or that
04:43cop's eating too many donuts, which I take a little offense to, I don't look like I eat too many
04:47donuts.
04:47But the officers all started giving me trouble, as we do.
04:51At the end of the day, he did not get away, and that's the point.
04:54We've had people hide under beds, washers or dryers, closets.
05:00This is the first time I've located a suspect hiding in a trash can.
05:43These ladies are surprising their shark-loving friend.
05:46Can we let her see it?
05:50Oh no!
05:52Shark time!
05:53Are you okay?
05:54I got your fins!
05:59Are you okay?
06:01Are you okay?
06:07I wish I had her!
06:13I wish I had her ring!
06:15I wish I could.
06:16I wish I had her ring!
06:38I wish I had her ring!
07:42I hope that was recorded.
07:45A woman wants to scare off this squirrel.
08:12A man is fixing a water line.
08:38I bought this sports car after years of being a mom and driving the minivan.
08:45I'd never had a convertible before, and I loved having this car when the weather was beautiful, top-down.
08:53She was manual transmission.
08:56I love this car so much that I ended up naming her Betty after Betty Ford.
09:00So it was a beautiful November day.
09:03So I went for a drive, and on the way home, as I do, I stopped to check the mail.
09:09Left the car running.
09:10Our driveway is quite steep, and I forgot to set the parking brake.
09:19I panicked, started running as fast as I could.
09:23I was, I mean, I was a track star in high school, right?
09:27I can sprint pretty fast, so I really did think I was going to catch it.
09:30My momentum starts going faster than my feet can keep up.
09:33We did a still shot, and I am just superwoman, just straight as I can be.
09:38I got the air knocked right out of me.
09:46My neighbor happened to be in the backyard, and I could hear her screaming, Asia, Asia.
09:53So I get up to go and tell her, I'm okay.
09:56I wasn't even in the car.
09:59It was probably going 25 to 30 miles an hour when it hit the tree.
10:03Betty was totaled.
10:05The tree is just fine.
10:07The last time I saw her was the day the tow truck took her away and left all the pieces
10:14of her beautiful front on the ground, and now I had to find a replacement.
10:22I started to fall in love with this pink cart.
10:27The name of the color is Ruby Star Neo, and so her name naturally became Ruby.
10:32I like old lady names.
10:34It was 100% my idea to put the video online, and all of a sudden, hundreds of thousands
10:41of comments, and basically they all say, this is why you don't let your wife drive your car.
10:46So I would like to make it very clear that that was my car, not my husband's.
10:51Women can own their own sports car, and women can also drive manual transmission.
10:58Now, not all women can remember to set the parking brake.
11:06This boy built a cardboard airplane.
11:16This man is taking out the trash.
11:33This man has spent hours making a pet gate.
11:53A couple is dismantling their pergola.
12:20This dog is about to cause trouble.
12:56This dog is about to cause trouble.
13:04A bat has found its way inside this house.
13:30This dog has been licking a plate.
13:34This dog is about to cause trouble.
14:11A camera in North Carolina catches this toddler potty training.
14:17Ward is definitely a mischievous kid.
14:20He'll look at you and kind of give you one of those looks like, I know I shouldn't be
14:23doing this, but it's about to happen.
14:25So potty training Ward was a challenge.
14:28So we had just gotten a new vacuum for $200.
14:31It became his favorite new toy.
14:32He would vacuum up his Legos.
14:34He would vacuum up leaves.
14:35Anything and everything he could put in the vacuum, he tried.
14:43I think he just likes to watch things disappear.
14:47So I walked in the playroom and I look over at the potty and I can see two little brown
14:52spots on it and a little bit of liquid in the bottom.
14:54Oh no.
14:56Oh no, no, no, no.
15:02And so I was like, Ward, did you go potty?
15:05He's like, yeah, I go potty.
15:07Where is it buddy?
15:07What, where did it all go?
15:09It's in the vacuum.
15:10Oh, he was proud of himself for sure.
15:14Yeah.
15:14I said, good job.
15:15Cause we gotta, we gotta be positive with the potty training.
15:18Good job on going to the potty and set it in your diaper.
15:20But we don't use the vacuum buddy for that.
15:22That's not what the vacuum's for.
15:27When I was cleaning the vacuum, my wife was like, just get rid of it.
15:30I was like, no way.
15:30It's two days old.
15:31It's too new.
15:32So I just soaked it and put a lot of Clorox and bleach in it.
15:36And honestly, if someone did a smell test with it, they would never know that it was the
15:40scene of the crime.
15:46Do?
16:00Are you I did constantly try it?
16:04Oh my God.
16:06Oh my God.
16:07Okay.
16:09Oh my God.
16:10Yeah.
16:14Can I see your trunk?
16:14No one's in for you?
16:14Get you...
16:14Oh my God.
16:15Oh my God.
16:15Go.
16:20This teen is about to attempt a wheelie.
16:45I can't see. Be careful.
16:59Yes, are you?
17:39Camera now recording.
17:41A teen takes the family car out for a drive.
17:44Bye, Mom.
17:45Bye, baby. Be careful.
18:16Okay.
18:22This man is repairing his snowmobile.
18:48A woman has just gone shopping for Christmas dinner.
19:18Careful.
19:20Bye, Mom.
19:21Bye, baby. Be careful.
19:30Bye, Mom.
19:38Bye, Mom.
19:39Bye, Mom.
19:50Bye, Mom.
19:52Oh, my God.
19:55You all right?
19:58You okay?
19:59I'm good.
20:00Are you laughing or crying?
20:01I'm good.
20:02Oh, my God.
20:04That's the craziest thing I've ever seen.
20:06Oh, my God.
20:11I don't know.
20:11I don't know.
20:11I don't know.
20:14I don't know.
20:15But I'm hungry.
20:18I don't know.
20:18You're hungry.
20:37Oh, man.
20:38Oh, man.
20:39Oh, man.
20:40Oh, man.
20:42Oh, man.
