00:09What does Kevin think he's doing, making a special entrance?
00:12Well, it's on brand.
00:12It's on brand.
00:13It's pretty impressive.
00:15There he is.
00:16There he is.
00:17Thanks for coming, by the way.
00:18We've been here for three hours.
00:19Oh, I'm sorry.
00:20It was like four minutes.
00:21I mean, Jesus Christ.
00:23All day long.
00:23She's so hard on me for no reason at all.
00:25Here's what I'm gonna talk to you guys about.
00:27Of course, comedy today.
00:28I think we're in a good place.
00:29But the business is supposed to be fueled and filled with new faces every so many years.
00:34So many years.
00:35It's supposed to happen.
00:36It's not supposed to be stagnant.
00:38And I think we have an opportunity to discover the next person that will be the big face in comedy.
00:44You want them to be big?
00:45You want them to exceed your career?
00:47I open up doors so you can kick them open.
00:49But if you open the door, it's already open.
00:51So why would you kick it open?
00:53And please, Chelsea.
00:55Will you stop it?
00:56He's doing the intro to the show.
00:57Okay, love you.
00:58Love you.
01:00Funny Hey Heaven is the search for the next great stand-up comedian.
01:05I'm traveling to the best comedy clubs in the country to find the funniest comics from across America and give
01:10them the opportunity to become a global star.
01:12Back in the day, the stand-up comedy star immediately got an opportunity to become the movie star.
01:18Because stand-up comedy.
01:19They got their own sitcom.
01:20They got everything.
01:20The opportunity for those moments has died.
01:23Joining me are some of my friends, who also happen to be some of the most trusted voices in common.
01:29Together, we're putting on three showcases in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
01:34So you go to Chicago with me.
01:36Why don't you do New York with me?
01:37I will do New York.
01:38Right?
01:38Same thing.
01:39Also, guys, Tom, Tom Segura, he's going to help me at Los Angeles, too.
01:41So if you want to do the callbacks, I'll let Tom do the first stage of Los Angeles.
01:44Great.
01:44When we go to Chicago, can I ride a new private jet?
01:48Okay, so let's talk offline.
01:50We're going to figure it out.
01:51Okay.
01:51Okay?
01:52I want to make sure our travels are...
01:54I'll change my plans.
01:55Whatever yours are, those are my plans.
01:57The best comics will be invited to callbacks.
02:00Finally, the world will get a chance to vote on their favorite.
02:03Live.
02:04This is when live voting will come into play.
02:05Live voting?
02:06Live voting.
02:07Is this person that's winning getting a Netflix special?
02:09They're getting a Netflix special.
02:10Great.
02:10When were you going to fucking tell me that?
02:12I just told you.
02:14There's never been a comedy competition that actually captures the real grind of standard.
02:20So I teamed up with Netflix to change that.
02:23This person is eventually going to become one of us.
02:26A person that is going to be invited to sit down at a table like this.
02:29The next household name.
02:30That's my...
02:31I want to help spark the next stage of career for the next person of funny.
02:38When you started talking, I was like, I don't think Kevin knows what he's going to say,
02:41but that was very inspiring.
02:43I mean, I wouldn't say it was inspiring.
02:45What?
02:45Wait, I've actually thought about this.
02:47Yeah, well, guys, I'm like, do you know it's my show?
02:48We should...
02:49We should start rolling the cameras.
02:51That was good.
02:57First stop on the tour, New York City, a place where only the strong survive.
03:03Joining me is someone who shaped the comedy of a generation, Keegan Michael Keegan.
03:08Oh, I think this is my man right here.
03:10That's my guy.
03:11What's up, man?
03:12How you doing?
03:13Good to see you, man.
03:14Welcome to New York.
03:15All right.
03:15I'm so excited about this.
03:17It's pretty dope.
03:17It's really dope.
03:18Walk with me.
03:19Let's see where you're going.
03:19Walk with me.
03:20Keegan is the co-creator of one of the greatest sketch shows ever, Key & Pills.
03:24He acts, he writes, he produces, and he brings a completely different perspective on comedy,
03:29which I love.
03:31Modern stand-up was born right here in New York City, at the Comedy Cellar.
03:35Lenny Bruce, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, me, we all came up here.
03:41When it comes to stand-up comedy, it's very hard to compete with New York City, in my opinion.
03:46So for this group of comedians, the pressure is on.
03:48This is the greatest comedy city in the world.
03:50That is...
03:51That's why we're here.
03:52New York is very cutthroat, and I wouldn't trade this shit for the world.
03:55When I go to other cities, I'm like, this is what y'all laugh at?
03:58The audience would have jumped your ass if he was in Brooklyn with this whack shit.
04:01All right, guys, hey, hey, hey.
04:05What energy.
04:06What energy.
04:08Look at this.
04:09Amazing energy.
04:10They're ready to go.
04:11This is unbelievable, guys.
04:13Very exciting.
04:14Coming in just to give you guys a little brief introduction before we get started with the showcase.
04:19You guys get five minutes.
04:21A five-minute set should tell me what I need to know about a comedian.
04:24How much can people walk away with as an understanding of who you are, why you're a comic, what your
04:30style of funny is?
04:31What can we grab from that five minutes to hold on to to make us want to come back and
04:35learn more and understand more?
04:37We will pick a handful of people from the showcase of 14 to move on to callbacks.
04:41And to me, a handful is about five.
04:44All competitions have something that you take away from it.
04:47The takeaway.
04:49A Netflix special.
04:50That's a big fucking deal.
04:52A big deal.
04:53All right?
04:54A big deal.
04:56All right?
04:57We're looking for a person who's going to be kind of a voice of a new generation.
05:02We're gonna pass this baton on to you.
05:04We're really looking forward to this.
05:05This is unprecedented.
05:07I've never seen anything like this before.
05:08We're New York City.
05:09Get your mind right and then get ready to do it.
05:12All right?
05:13Congrats.
05:13I'm going out here to sit out because I'm going to see you perform.
05:15I'm excited.
05:15Thank you very much, everybody.
05:17I'll see you guys after.
05:20I'm nervous.
05:21Nervous?
05:22A little bit.
05:23I can't believe it's a Netflix special.
05:25That's insane.
05:26That's the thing.
05:27That's like the thing that we want.
05:28Yeah.
05:28That's what we all want.
05:29Yeah.
05:35We do have Kevin Hart and he and Michael Key in the building.
05:38All right.
05:40Can I ask you this?
05:41Here's a question.
05:41This is like for my edification.
05:43What's the criteria?
05:44To me, I think, as a comedian, in five minutes, it's like, well, how do I get you to remember
05:49me?
05:50Here's who I am and here's some things about me.
05:53Here's some things that you're going to laugh at.
05:55But this is my real world.
05:56This is my truth.
05:56And this is what I find human in.
05:58I think we're on the same page.
05:59I love it.
06:00We got this crowd.
06:01It is a fun time.
06:03Hey, Tata, it's time to go to the stage.
06:05Go, baby.
06:06I got into comedy around age 26, 27.
06:09And I was going through a weird breakup.
06:11He left me for a virgin.
06:13I know, right?
06:14I'm like, nah, I thought she was sucking dick or something.
06:16And I went and said that at an open mic a few days later and never turned back.
06:20Am I allowed to say sucking dick?
06:22Yeah.
06:22I could just be me, right?
06:24Oh, fuck yeah.
06:25Ooh, I thought I had to, you know, button up a little bit.
06:29But I can let my titties loose.
06:33Five minutes, bitch.
06:34You got this.
06:34The past two years have been challenging because I faced a lot of rejection.
06:38But I told myself to keep going.
06:41Give it up for Tata Sharice, ladies and gentlemen.
06:47Winning this competition could change my life in so many ways.
06:50Because people seeing me on this show, seeing my personality, seeing my talent.
06:56I'm ready to work.
06:57And I think this can open doors.
06:59The past two years.
07:01The past two years.
07:04Hey.
07:06My name is Tata Sharice.
07:08I did have the name before I had the titties.
07:13Need to get that shit out the way.
07:16Address the elephants in the room.
07:18I know I got some big ass titties.
07:20I understand.
07:22Man, no, but honestly, I'm feeling good, man.
07:24I'm feeling light.
07:26Mainly because I lost some weight.
07:30Yeah, I lost 30.3 pounds.
07:34You can't leave out the decimal.
07:36All that shit count.
07:38Man, but I'm realizing as I get smaller, I'm gonna miss a couple things about being a big girl.
07:43I have fed people privileges.
07:47You feel me?
07:48Like, uh, kidnapping.
07:55Maybe I was safe.
07:59I could run through Central Park butt ass naked.
08:01Big mama making it home.
08:04They gonna have to grab the little bitch in front of me.
08:07And to be honest, it's gonna take at least two to three niggas to put me in the van.
08:11Okay, I'm not going out without a fight.
08:13And I got back up.
08:14Like, you know what I mean?
08:22I'm walking around.
08:23I'm feeling vulnerable.
08:25Nervous.
08:25Because I'm getting small.
08:27I'm like, oh my God, how do you little bitches do this shit?
08:30I'm gonna miss my fupa.
08:32Y'all know what a fupa is, right?
08:34Front upper pussy area.
08:37I'm gonna miss that shit.
08:38I am.
08:38Because between me and y'all, I used to sit this shit on niggas' foreheads, okay?
08:42They gotta lift it up for air.
08:46I ain't gonna hold you.
08:47I like when a nigga lift my shit up like the hood of a car.
08:49Give a bitch a oil change.
08:54And I think that's my motherfucking time.
08:56I'm Sasha Sharice.
09:03Great persona.
09:05Great way to start it.
09:06Confidence.
09:07Confidence.
09:08Confidence.
09:08Yeah.
09:09Stage presence.
09:10Right?
09:10How did that feel?
09:12Oh, man, that felt good.
09:13I didn't do the jokes at the end that I wanted to do.
09:15But I said, fuck it, we up here.
09:16Let's ball.
09:17Let's ball, baby.
09:18Let's ball.
09:19I'm feeling like I did what I was supposed to do.
09:21I feel confident, you know?
09:23But I wish I had closed out on the joke that I wanted to.
09:26But it's okay.
09:27Because when I, you know, go to callbacks next week, I get to use that same joke.
09:34There's a lot of personality, a lot of charisma, of course.
09:37I felt like I wanted the closer to be a little stronger.
09:39You know, on a five-minute set, the dismount is very important.
09:42That's a great job.
09:43All right, LeClerc, time to go to stage.
09:44Go get him, LeClerc.
09:45All right, LeClerc.
09:46I feel like a coach.
09:48Don't do that.
09:49You get LeClerc.
09:50Oh, yeah, why do that?
09:51It only hits LeClerc because he's so tall.
09:53I'm very tall.
09:54And if I don't address my height while I'm on stage, then it becomes a distraction.
09:59How tall are you?
10:016'7".
10:02And I've been doing comedy for 11, 12 years now.
10:05I grew up in Maryland, raised by a single mother from Haiti.
10:09I did stand-up comedy for two years in Maryland.
10:11I saw what it meant to be a big fish in a small pond, and I really wanted to give
10:16myself
10:17a chance to be bigger than that.
10:19So I just took a leap of faith and decided to move to New York.
10:22Give it up for the Mr. LeClerc, Andre!
10:25This is the biggest opportunity I've ever had in my career.
10:28This means everything to me.
10:29All right, here we go.
10:30I really gambled on myself when I moved to New York.
10:33Making it would give me all the validation I've ever looked for.
10:36What's up, y'all?
10:37Yeah!
10:38My name's LeClerc Andre.
10:40Yeah.
10:40I'll give you a second to adjust.
10:42I'm sorry.
10:43Yeah, this is my body.
10:44I'm very tall.
10:45Yeah.
10:46You a tall guy?
10:47How tall are you?
10:476'5".
10:486'5"?
10:49That's adorable.
10:506'5".
10:52I used to be 6'5".
10:53That's a good height, man.
10:54You know, to be young.
10:57Why'd you stop if you don't mind me asking?
11:00Keep going, man.
11:01Believe in yourself.
11:03Very smart.
11:04I was in Alaska last week.
11:06They have a lot of bears in Alaska.
11:07I didn't know that.
11:08I feel bad for black bears.
11:09They get a bad rap.
11:10They really do.
11:11They're some of the best bears out there.
11:13Seriously.
11:13They're the only bear that, if they get aggressive, just make yourself big and they will run away.
11:17That's a cool bear, right?
11:19You know what the most dangerous bear is?
11:21You know what the most aggressive bear is?
11:22You guys know?
11:22White.
11:23Polar bears.
11:23I was gonna say white, but yeah, polar.
11:29Polar.
11:33That's crazy, you know?
11:34You call them polar bears, huh?
11:40You got no problem calling them black and brown bears.
11:42You know what I mean?
11:45All of a sudden, the killer bear is a polar.
11:47That's crazy, you know?
11:49I call them privileged bears.
11:50That's what I call them, you know, privileged bears.
11:53Nah, shout out to polar bears, man.
11:55Y'all got a good PR team.
11:56You really do.
11:58They do, man.
11:59They got them out there drinking Coca-Cola.
12:01What the hell is going on, man?
12:04These are murderous bears.
12:07It's propaganda.
12:09If I see a black bear drinking Hennessy, I'm gonna burn this city down.
12:14I'm like, stop breakdancing.
12:15Digga, get up.
12:16This is bullshit.
12:18Man, you guys have been so much fun.
12:19I gotta run.
12:19My name's a clerk, guys.
12:20Have a good night.
12:21See you later.
12:22Very, very smart.
12:26Very clever.
12:28All of his punchlines were hidden.
12:29He wants the audience.
12:31He baits the audience to go, polar.
12:33And I was like, oh, I thought that was the joke.
12:35Oh, that's what you call it.
12:35Oh, oh, that's what you call it.
12:36Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:37It just went fim-fim-fim.
12:38It was really welcome.
12:40It was a very well-written set.
12:42Hey!
12:44What was it?
12:46I'm so proud of you all.
12:47Yeah, that was fun.
12:48That was great.
12:48Yeah, you look like you have fun.
12:49Kevin Hart's here, and so is Keegan-Michael Key.
12:53Let's fucking go.
12:55Pretty nervous.
12:56Pretty nervous.
13:01I'm from Cartersville, Virginia,
13:03which is population 550 people,
13:06so very, very tiny where I was born.
13:09Pretty much you know everybody,
13:10and I think if people watch my comedy now,
13:13they would be surprised to learn
13:14how conservative that I grew up.
13:16Like, I was, and when I was in high school,
13:18I was like a young Republican,
13:19and I was surrounded with a lot of folks
13:21that looked and thought exactly like me.
13:24When I got into comedy and when I got into college,
13:26being faced with different views
13:27that I had never thought about before
13:29was really, really beneficial for me.
13:32Yep.
13:32I got it.
13:33This is already like a big comedy milestone for me,
13:36so just anxious and emotional,
13:39and I hope I don't start crying.
13:41That'd be crazy.
13:42That would not be a good look,
13:44but yeah, I'm excited, so.
13:46Go Winston!
13:47All right, let's go Winston.
13:52How the hell are you, brother?
13:54What's up, man?
13:55How's everybody doing?
13:55Everyone doing good?
13:56Yeah!
13:57My name is Winston Hodges.
14:00I'm a straight fella.
14:01I've been straight...
14:05You know, pretty much the whole time, I guess.
14:08You have to remember what counts.
14:09Thoughts don't count, brother.
14:10They don't count.
14:15But I'll tell you right now, man,
14:16like, being straight's different now
14:18than when I was a kid.
14:19I'm 35, man.
14:20It used to just be you were straight or gay.
14:21Now you can be straight and still have,
14:23like, good stories.
14:24You know what I mean?
14:24Like, I'll give you a perfect example.
14:26I am straight, but I have had sex with five people
14:30who immediately after having sex with me,
14:33they decided that perhaps it would be in their best interest
14:42to begin their transition.
14:44That is true.
14:45I have fucked...
14:47Some of you are like, holy shit,
14:48what percentage of the people you fucked is five?
14:50It's enough.
14:51You know what I mean?
14:52It's enough to track that number.
14:54You know what I mean?
14:55It's true.
14:55Within a week of fucking me, I've had five people call me
14:58and be like, hey, Winston, I've had a lot of fun,
15:00but I have decided to become the man that God intended for me to be.
15:07And so I am the only straight man on earth that has five ex-boyfriends.
15:12And I tell you, that's an interesting...
15:13You don't have to believe me.
15:15I'll show you a picture.
15:15It looks like a pretty good pick-up basketball team is what it looks like.
15:20I look like a coach in there.
15:22I'm like, pick and roll, Margaret.
15:23You know what I mean?
15:23Get in there.
15:25Do what you need to do, man.
15:27You can tell he's setting up for the big closer.
15:30Let's hope it pays off, right?
15:32I don't know about y'all, but I've had sex with five people
15:34who immediately afterwards started thinking about my dick,
15:37and every last one of them was like,
15:38I'm gonna fucking get me one of these.
15:40You know what I mean?
15:40I tell you.
15:44I've been Winston Hodges.
15:45You guys have a good night.
15:46Wow.
15:47That was a really good clue for you.
15:49Man, that was a good clue.
15:51Wow.
15:52Very, very good.
15:53Very good.
15:55There you go.
15:56There you go.
15:56Woo!
15:58Are you looking at me this time?
15:58Yeah, that's what it felt like.
15:59It felt bad.
16:01Did not feel like a good time.
16:03Really?
16:04No.
16:04Yeah, it felt brutal.
16:05Really?
16:06Yeah, that one didn't feel great.
16:07He fucked me up because finding humor
16:10through areas where most look...
16:13What's that?
16:14You're, like, the most profound insecurity.
16:17What would be the most profound insecurity about him
16:20is where he found the humor from.
16:22That's a talent, and that is a hierarchy in comedy, right?
16:26Yeah.
16:27Everybody's going this way.
16:29I'm going to go this way.
16:34I think what makes a good joke is finding humor in the things
16:37that most don't see to be funny.
16:38I love people that aren't afraid to talk about the things
16:41that are a little more unexpected.
16:43To me, that is my favorite kind of comedy, that has a real emotional heft to it.
16:48And point of view is the most important aspect.
16:50Your point of view can't change all the time.
16:52That's true.
16:53I think that, seeing things through your lens might be the most important thing.
16:57No, the point of view and perspective, that's what I think makes a good joke.
17:00Like, what are you doing different than what the pack has done?
17:06Yeah, homie, I'm just big, big, big, big, all right, star, star.
17:09What do you think the judges are looking for?
17:11I think the judges are looking for originality and somebody that's going to stay true to themselves.
17:15The show?
17:21Doing standup comedy for 14 years is like having a PHD and almost making it.
17:25I've had almost been him so many times.
17:28I've made a lot of sacrifices in hopes that I was going to allow myself to be the best standup
17:32comedian I could be.
17:34At times, I didn't have a place to stay, and for a certain period of time, I was living with
17:38my weed man.
17:42Let's get it.
17:44If I win this whole thing, it doesn't mean the world to me, man.
17:45This is gonna be a leveling up.
17:47Give it up for Reg Thomas!
17:51My style is definitely autobiographical.
17:53I definitely talk about my life, my experiences.
17:55So that way, like, you know, even if you're not from where I'm from,
17:58hopefully I give you two or three jokes that let you know,
18:00okay, I kind of understand this guy a little bit more.
18:02Boom. Got the New York.
18:03Okay, Reg.
18:04You better smash it.
18:06How y'all doing? My name is Reg Thomas.
18:08I'm from Brooklyn.
18:10Very happy to be home.
18:11I was just down in D.C.
18:14They got a little homeless problem in D.C.
18:17In New York, we have a homeless problem, too.
18:20But we've been doing this for a while.
18:23Like, in New York, we have a very strict no-touch policy.
18:27In Washington, D.C., they will just hug you.
18:31And it's like, my nigga...
18:37I gave you the money. What is this about?
18:39No.
18:41And in New York, our homeless people have more hustle.
18:45I was at a Starbucks the other day,
18:47and for lack of a better word, I witnessed a bum-off.
18:51A bum-off.
18:54A bum-off.
19:13And that's capitalism. That's competition.
19:18Guys, I know homeless jokes aren't for everybody.
19:22But I wrote a lot of these, so...
19:26Lock in. I believe in y'all.
19:28That's good. Very good.
19:30So on Valentine's Day, I saw a homeless couple.
19:32They were holding a sign, said,
19:33we have no money, we have no food.
19:36All we have is love and each other.
19:38I was like, y'all need to break up.
19:44I don't give money to homeless white people.
19:52Y'all felt that?
19:55Y'all felt the room change when I said that?
19:59I said, I don't give money to homeless white people.
20:01Y'all looked at me like, I never did.
20:04Was that the joke?
20:05Because we're with you.
20:07I treat them the same way regular white people treat them.
20:10I give them a look at confusion and disappointment.
20:18You're going to have to get it together.
20:22Get out of here, Scott.
20:24Scott!
20:27And in America, we have stereotypes about everyone.
20:30Everyone gets roasted in America.
20:32When you're Haitian, they think you do voodoo.
20:34And they don't even ask you.
20:35They just accuse you.
20:36They're like, you do voodoo, right?
20:37And I used to be so confused.
20:38I was like, you think this is my voodoo body?
20:42No.
20:43If I did voodoo, I'd be taller.
20:46My dick would be, my dick would be the same, but I'd be taller.
20:50Like, so much taller.
20:52That's good.
20:53Hey, y'all.
20:53My name is Reg Thomas.
20:54Thank you all very much.
20:55That's good.
20:57Reg Thomas, ladies and gentlemen.
20:59We have a nice variety of what makes me a comic.
21:03Yeah.
21:04Yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:04Here's my cadence.
21:05Here's my makeup.
21:06Great material, right?
21:08Yeah.
21:09Understanding punchline.
21:11Understanding bit out.
21:13Like, let me get in.
21:14Let me get out.
21:15Yeah.
21:15About five minutes.
21:16Here's a piece.
21:17I'm out.
21:18The architecture was fantastic.
21:20And his stepping outside energy, which was, he's like, I know this is a lot of homeless jokes.
21:24I strapped in because I got a whole mess.
21:26It's so good writing.
21:27Breaking the fourth wall.
21:28Breaking the fourth wall.
21:29That was actually sublime.
21:31How you feel about yourself?
21:32I was like, that's what I need to do.
21:33I was like, damn, that five minutes go by quick as hell.
21:35I feel amazing.
21:36There's nothing I wish I had done differently.
21:38That was just what I wanted to do, and it went exactly how I wanted it to go.
21:41Damn, that shit felt good.
21:43So for me, Reg and McClurk are tied, OK?
21:46I'm going to go our girl up top.
21:49Look at Tata.
21:50There's an aura about her of comfortability.
21:54I think Winston's got a fucking thing, man.
21:56Yeah, there's something going on with Winston.
21:58He's got a, he's got a fucking thing.
22:00OK.
22:02Can you bring the camera a little closer?
22:04Oh, my god.
22:05No.
22:05No!
22:07Wait, no, not until after the brush.
22:0930 second warning from Kate and then the shit falls.
22:11Shit falls.
22:12God damn it!
22:14Growing up, my family was very funny.
22:17My dad was more pull my finger funny.
22:19And then my mom was very, like, sophisticated funny.
22:23So you got the best of both worlds.
22:25Winning a Netflix special would be huge.
22:27Will my parents finally be proud of me?
22:31No.
22:32I've been doing comedy for 11 years.
22:34I think I was 24 when I wanted to try it.
22:38I asked a boyfriend once if he thought I was funny.
22:40And he said, I think you're entertaining,
22:42not necessarily funny.
22:43So that'll put you down a little spiral.
22:46But once you break up with him, then you Google
22:47how to start stand-up comedy.
22:49Give it up for Caitlyn!
22:50Hello, boy!
22:54My name's Caitlyn.
22:55I'm doing pretty good.
22:56I'm excited to be here.
22:58I had a good year.
22:59I lost 45 pounds last year.
23:01I did.
23:02Thank you so much.
23:04That's why I'm wearing a crop top.
23:07Oh, I'm so excited.
23:08If I lose five more pounds, I'm going to show off my Volvo.
23:12Yeah, I'm going to let it wiggle out.
23:14I'm like, if this guy is like, what's a Volvo?
23:17What?
23:18Do you know?
23:18He knows what it is.
23:19It's not a car, OK?
23:21It's not a car.
23:22It's a whole pussy, all right?
23:26I lost a bunch of weight, but I want to be very clear.
23:29I lost a bunch of weight not to be skinny.
23:30That's not the goal.
23:31The goal is not to be thin.
23:32I'm trying to get jazzed.
23:34I want to be yoked, you know?
23:36My ex-boyfriend, he loved it.
23:38He loved that I was getting stronger,
23:39because he wanted the protection.
23:42Yeah.
23:43I was dating a short king.
23:44You know what I'm talking about?
23:45I love a short king.
23:46We got any Tiny Timbs in here?
23:47Come on.
23:47Oh, I know, baby doll.
23:49I know, baby doll.
23:53Look at this little nugget.
23:56How you doing?
23:57How tall are you?
23:58How tall are you, Kevin?
23:595'4".
23:595'4"?
24:00Oh, who's your big boy?
24:02Oh, my goodness.
24:04That's so hot.
24:06Kevin's like, I'm 5'4".
24:08Just makes my dick look huge.
24:10Yeah.
24:11Six inches goes down to your fucking knee, cowboy.
24:13I like that.
24:18I'm so sorry.
24:19That was very intense.
24:21I'm ovulating, so...
24:24It's crazy.
24:25I'm being such a hoe.
24:26I am.
24:27My older sister, she's the opposite.
24:29She married the first guy she ever kissed,
24:31and then immediately had two children.
24:33I know, I know.
24:34I have fucked four different Christophers.
24:38Okay?
24:40It's a different lifestyle choice.
24:43She tried to give me advice.
24:45I'll never forget this.
24:46I was going away to college.
24:47She just graduated.
24:48She was like, Caitlin, remember,
24:49no man's gonna marry a woman
24:51if she's had sex with more than three guys.
24:55And I was like, well,
24:56I waved goodbye to that at prom.
25:00Three men, that's it?
25:02You get more crayons with the kid's menu
25:04out of Denny's, okay?
25:06If you've only seen three dicks,
25:08you're still laughing when you see a new dick.
25:11They're so funny looking.
25:13The last one I saw, he dropped his pants,
25:15and I was like, wow, that's crooked.
25:17Okay.
25:18I didn't know they could bend in the middle.
25:21Is that a knuckle?
25:23What the fuck is happening?
25:26And why is it a different color than your whole body?
25:36You guys have been so fun.
25:37I'm Caitlin Palufo.
25:41Thank you, guys.
25:45Well, buddy.
25:46That's a kick down the door right there.
25:47Well, buddy.
25:48Well, buddy.
25:50A little bit of a shake-up.
25:51Now we got a shake-up.
25:52There was 100% nothing wrong with that set.
25:56I don't have notes.
25:57I have no notes.
25:58Girl, you had me screaming.
25:59I did not expect him to play into this short King joke.
26:03Then Kevin clapped immediately,
26:04and I was like, oh, my God,
26:06I have to do crowd work with Kevin Hart.
26:09I'm thrilled that worked out.
26:11It could have really backfired.
26:12There was another little tiny Tim in the front.
26:15Oh, there was a tiny Tim.
26:16Yeah, I was going to talk to him,
26:17but then Kevin made some noise,
26:18and I was like, all right.
26:19And you were like, all right, little boy.
26:23I need to hold something to make sure my hand isn't shake.
26:25Microphone.
26:26Is my hand shaking?
26:27Yeah.
26:27Connor, it's time to go to stage.
26:29Okay, thank you.
26:30Congratulations, Connor.
26:31Congratulations, Connor.
26:33What are my jokes?
26:34Okay, okay.
26:35I feel nervous, but I feel ready.
26:37Shake off the nerves.
26:38Here's the lyrics.
26:42Connor Jander!
26:46My name is Connor,
26:47and I'm a gay guy.
26:48But I also identify as queer to seem younger.
26:53I feel like if a slur applies to you,
26:55you should get to say it.
26:56So, like, gay people,
26:58we can say, like, fruitcake or supporting character.
27:01And then, like, bi people,
27:03you can call each other, like, liar.
27:07But then I asked my dad,
27:08who is heterosexual still,
27:09I was like,
27:10have you ever called someone the F slur?
27:12Because he went to high school in the 1980s.
27:13And he's like, Connor,
27:14I promise you that I've never said that word.
27:16And then I realized that in high school,
27:18my dad was, like, a loser.
27:20I love him, though.
27:21He's so sweet.
27:22Like, he grew up really poor,
27:23and then he worked his way out of poverty
27:24by marrying my mother.
27:26When I was a kid,
27:27he was, like, a stay-at-home dad,
27:29and then my mom was a lawyer for Big Pharma.
27:32Yeah.
27:33When I was little,
27:33if I did bad at school,
27:34teachers would be like,
27:35I'm gonna call your mom.
27:36And I think,
27:37unless you're, like, suing Pfizer,
27:39she's, like, not gonna talk to you.
27:43So, something about me.
27:44I have two brothers,
27:45and both of my brothers are also gay.
27:47And if you're like,
27:48that's because your dad didn't work,
27:49I agree with you.
27:54Sometimes when people hear that,
27:55they're like,
27:56oh, my God,
27:56three gay kids, one family.
27:57Did you, like, make that up for your joke?
27:59No, God made that up for the joke.
28:02Nice. Nice.
28:03People also kind of try to gauge, like,
28:05of the three of you,
28:05which one is, like, the gayest?
28:07And I do think it's rude to ask questions.
28:09You know the answer, too.
28:11I am the gayest
28:12because my older brother is a lawyer,
28:13and my younger brother is kind.
28:17I'm Connor. Thank you so much.
28:18Yeah, Connor!
28:21You know what?
28:22I saw a little nervousness at the top.
28:24A little nervous.
28:25And it took him a second
28:26to get into the groove, right?
28:29But I stayed connected,
28:31and I saw the sex build.
28:33Being true not only to himself,
28:35but his environment,
28:36I like that.
28:37I like Connor.
28:39I think Connor gets in the conversation.
28:42I might be Caitlin LeClerc Winston.
28:46I like Tata.
28:47And then my honorable mention of it.
28:50It's Connor.
28:51I agree.
28:52I agree.
28:53God damn it, man.
28:56Funny the spectrum of comedy we've seen.
28:58It's all unfiltered and raw.
29:00And all for different reasons.
29:05I'm not gonna lie.
29:06When they first asked me to do this,
29:07they were like,
29:07we want you to do a competition on Netflix
29:09for a large cash prize.
29:10I was like,
29:11what is this?
29:12Squid Game?
29:13What the fuck?
29:14What you got me signed up for?
29:17I'm gonna get shot in the face by Kevin Hart.
29:19I'm gonna get the bestest round.
29:21I think a very solid set.
29:23Very solid set.
29:24What I like though,
29:25he stood in the pocket.
29:26And he didn't flinch.
29:27He did not flinch.
29:28Did not flinch.
29:28Did not flinch.
29:29I've been a little confused about my sexuality.
29:33I think I'm asexual.
29:34That's what I landed on.
29:35It's because I went to an asexual orgy recently.
29:39Yeah.
29:40Do you guys know about this?
29:41This is a real thing.
29:42This is completely real.
29:43It was just game night.
29:45A little nervousness.
29:46Okay.
29:48Some good jokes in there.
29:50Some things I saw coming.
29:51I found out my boyfriend was ugly.
29:54Oh my God.
29:55I didn't know for three years he was ugly
29:56because he was paying for everything.
29:59Then one day he asked me to go half on the bill
30:01and I was like,
30:02ew.
30:03Have you always been bald and broke and ugly?
30:06I can see how smart she was
30:08through the choice of material
30:09and through how she took us on that job.
30:11Very, very smart.
30:12I have a niece
30:13and I love this baby so much.
30:14And I shouldn't even be here right now.
30:16I'm on aunt-ternity leave.
30:18This is my parents.
30:19That's your first grandchild.
30:21But we don't really know a lot about her.
30:24You know, he was like,
30:25we love you.
30:26Come live with us.
30:27And I'm like, let's just let her talk first.
30:29You know?
30:29Let's...
30:30Let's see what this baby's about.
30:32You know?
30:33I love the baby.
30:34I love the babies too,
30:36but let's get to know them.
30:37The segue between jokes
30:39wasn't as smooth as I would've...
30:41I hear that, yeah.
30:42I'm trying to be tough and sexy right now,
30:44but I know what I sound like.
30:45You know?
30:46Like I'm...
30:46That's not the funny part.
30:47Don't laugh at that.
30:47I know what I sound like.
30:49I'm trying to overcompensate in a lot of ways, right?
30:52Like I was driving a car with my best friend
30:53and this car cut us off in traffic.
30:55And I said out loud in the car,
30:56I was like,
30:57Jeez Louise.
30:58And...
31:01My friend was like,
31:01What'd you say?
31:02I was like, Jeez Louise, cuz.
31:03Like I tried to make it...
31:05I like tried to make it tough.
31:07You know?
31:08We got out of the car and I was like,
31:09Let's skedaddle, my nigga.
31:11Like, let's...
31:13A very smart approach.
31:15Smart, smart approach.
31:16If you're gonna toe the line,
31:17be different in how you approach them.
31:19Yeah.
31:20The opportunity at hand is massive.
31:21And when you know that you're judging talent
31:24that wants to be bigger and better
31:26in their lives and career,
31:27all decisions are hard decisions.
31:30Because, you know,
31:31you wanna make sure that you're putting
31:32the best person in position to move forward.
31:34Are you nervous a little bit?
31:35A little bit, a little bit.
31:36But I'm excited, it's a good nervous.
31:37Yeah.
31:37Let's go for it.
31:38Just let the...
31:38You look like you got all like,
31:39lucky pants or something.
31:41Yeah.
31:41Just cuz they flowy?
31:44Okay, okay, let's do it.
31:45Let's do it.
31:45I'm Usama Seriki,
31:47South Asian golden boy.
31:48Growing up.
31:49My parents, you know,
31:50Bengali immigrants who came.
31:52Son's gonna be a doctor,
31:53triple sevens.
31:55I was in medical school
31:56and you can defer for one year
31:58if you have like,
31:59an extenuating circumstance.
32:00So I lied.
32:01I messaged them like,
32:03Hey, I'm sorry,
32:03my mom is going through like,
32:05a leg amputation.
32:08And then I deferred for a year
32:09and I secretly came to New York
32:11and I was like,
32:11let's see this comedy thing.
32:13And I was like,
32:13if I'm gonna not do vet school for this,
32:15let me put that same work ethic into comedy.
32:18So I would basically do the 5pm mic
32:20all the way to 1am,
32:21four mics a day.
32:23What's up?
32:24My name's Usama Seriki.
32:26How y'all feeling?
32:29I'm feeling good,
32:30hanging out with my mom today.
32:32You know,
32:32we love her.
32:33If you're hanging out with your parents,
32:35never tell them an emotion
32:36that you're having, right?
32:38They just hit you with the back in my day stories
32:40that are, you know,
32:42fucking unverifiable.
32:45Right?
32:46I'll be like, Mom, I'm tired.
32:47She's like, tired?
32:48Every day I used to climb Mount Everest.
32:52Huh?
32:53You're tired?
32:54How about I'm tired
32:55from raising such a pussy?
32:56Huh?
32:58She lives in Texas.
32:59I'm from Texas.
33:01But I don't sound like it
33:02because I learned how to read, you know?
33:05So...
33:07Comes right off post-alphabet.
33:10You know,
33:11Texas thinks New York
33:12is some left-wing hellscape.
33:13Y'all know that, right?
33:14They're like,
33:14go to fucking New York.
33:16Everyone's having fucking
33:17a gluten-free gender surgery up there.
33:19You know what?
33:20You know what?
33:22Eating non-binary cupcakes.
33:27Goddamn!
33:29Goddamn!
33:33I used to go to this sushi restaurant in Texas.
33:36Every time it was your birthday,
33:37five of the kitchen staff
33:37would get into a dragon costume
33:39and dance around your table.
33:40Is that racist, y'all think?
33:42Yeah.
33:42What is more racist?
33:43The fact that this Japanese restaurant
33:44is doing a Chinese tradition
33:48or the fact that everyone in this dragon
33:51was a Mexican.
33:55It was!
33:57Five Mexicans in a dragon.
34:01And Kevin, these guys were so short,
34:03the dragon became a caterpillar.
34:05A little bit.
34:08Listen, brown people,
34:09we're coming up.
34:10People want to fuck us now.
34:11You know?
34:15People want to fuck the South Asians now.
34:19Here's the issue with brown sex symbols in America.
34:21Still very white-sounding names.
34:23You know?
34:23Dev, Zane.
34:25Won't be in real progress
34:26until the hot white cheerleader's like,
34:27you know who?
34:28I own a fuck.
34:30Devakarnakarnakarthi.
34:30Ha!
34:37Oh my God.
34:40It was fucking slow.
34:42So good.
34:43So good.
34:44I just want to go behind the bleachers
34:45and suck off Bala Subramanian.
34:50I can't!
34:50I can't!
34:52I can't!
34:52I can't!
34:53I can't!
34:53I can't!
34:54He's over for me.
34:56He's over.
34:56Straight up.
34:57He's over.
34:58Straight up.
34:58He's coming in.
34:58I'm going to go tell you.
35:00I've been Usama Siddiqui.
35:01Y'all been great.
35:01Thank y'all so much!
35:02Thank y'all.
35:05A week!
35:07I just...
35:09First and foremost, great set, man.
35:11Phenomenal set.
35:13Very poised, polished set.
35:16And I just want you to know, man,
35:17that we want to just get your praise
35:19and just do by me saying for sure
35:21you're going to the next love.
35:24Fuck that!
35:26I don't want to hear that shit!
35:28No, no, he deserves it.
35:29Come on.
35:32Fuck me.
35:33Usama having that moment.
35:35I'm worried I might not make it through
35:36to the next round.
35:39I'm feeling insane.
35:41I'm feeling legitimately insane.
35:42It's incredible.
35:42I didn't realize that Kevin was there
35:44that whole time on stage.
35:45So I was like feeling the love
35:47and then he's right there.
35:49That was insane, dog.
35:50That was fire.
35:51That was amazing.
35:52I know you're on cloud nine, right?
35:53Yeah.
35:53I'm happy for you.
35:54That's a dope moment.
35:55Did he whisper something in your ear?
35:56Just you're so hot and you're so cute.
36:00You doing...
36:00You got enough applause breaks.
36:02You're good.
36:02You killed it.
36:03You exploded on stage.
36:05Yeah, but he didn't come on stage and say,
36:06this guy, this guy was amazing.
36:08That was insane.
36:09But I'm not...
36:13What makes a good joke?
36:14Set up an expectation, subvert it.
36:16Set up an expectation, subvert it.
36:17Set up an expectation, subvert it.
36:17It's all surprise.
36:18It's all surprise.
36:19It's how you surprise us has to be the best part.
36:22I think there's two different styles of,
36:23you know, stand-up.
36:24There's personal storytelling
36:25and then there's joke telling straight up.
36:28Like Dave Attell.
36:29Dave Attell doesn't ever tell you a personal story.
36:31A story about himself.
36:32He's like, I want to hook her with a lazy eye
36:34so when she's sucking my dick,
36:35she can also look out for the cops.
36:37Like, he does that over and over and over again.
36:39Right, yeah. Bang, bang, bang.
36:40We lost Kevin.
36:41We lost Kevin.
36:42Kevin loves that one.
36:47All right, y'all.
36:48Come on, Leonard. You got this big baby.
36:51I'm all right. I'm ready to go.
36:53Ain't nobody else to watch.
36:54You signed but I already got the ticket.
36:55So that's the bare minimum now.
36:57In my eyes, Kevin will have to come back on stage
36:59and tell me I'm going to L.A. too.
37:00Leonard Oates, ladies and gentlemen.
37:02Leonard Oates!
37:03Tonight's the night.
37:05Let's paint the town.
37:08Hell yeah, Leonard Oates.
37:10From Virginia.
37:13Yeah.
37:18I'm a nerd but I feel like I'm not nerdy enough sometimes.
37:21Cause I'm cool too.
37:24Like I love Harry Potter until somebody asked me
37:27if I read the books.
37:31Like I said, I was a fan, not a virgin.
37:35The movie was three hours.
37:36You think I read the script too? God damn.
37:40I really love Harry Potter.
37:41I really love shit like that
37:42until I meet somebody that love it
37:43a little bit more than I do.
37:45Like I want to go to those Comic Cons
37:47or like those dress up, but it's like
37:48I know ain't nothing cool
37:52about my big ass walking around
37:53no Marriott Bank Wall.
37:56Talk about I'm playing Quidditch.
38:00Cause then it's like, well, what kind of broom I got
38:02that I'm floating?
38:06I'm gonna need a bushel of brooms.
38:10I'm gonna need that hospital broom,
38:11that high school broom they sweep the whole high school with.
38:13Like what?
38:17Just started getting into these Marvel movies.
38:19Marvel don't got my favorite hero.
38:20My favorite hero, Batman.
38:22I love Batman, but I'm tired of him being white.
38:25I'll be honest.
38:26Cause he always sad and crying about some shit.
38:30If Batman was black, he wouldn't even fight crime.
38:35You a billionaire, you ain't got no parents.
38:41It's hard to save Gotham from Tulum.
38:48Y'all been a lot of fun, man.
38:49I know they were so good.
38:54The alignment of his set, I thought was very strong.
38:57Really well put together.
38:57I love his energy.
38:59Unflappable.
39:00Tulum.
39:01It's hard to save Gotham from Tulum.
39:03Great reference.
39:04That might be one of my favorite jokes of the entire day.
39:07That's a great truth.
39:09I can't wait to call my mama afterwards.
39:11I know.
39:12I'm just gonna see my picture of mama that, uh,
39:14the lineup that says this.
39:15I'm just anxious to do it and call my mama.
39:1730 second warning for Eva.
39:19All right.
39:20Here we go, Eva.
39:21Here we go.
39:23I was raised by my single mother.
39:25And she is my biggest supporter.
39:27Like, she thinks I'm hysterical.
39:29All right.
39:32Like, one of her friends is like a legit heart surgeon.
39:36And she's like, oh, well, my mother would tell jokes.
39:38So, hmm.
39:40I'm doing better than you.
39:42Here we go.
39:43Here we go.
39:44Here we go.
39:44Here we go.
39:45To have this Netflix special, man, like, that's an opportunity worth everything.
39:50It will make all my sacrifices worth it.
39:53I'm hungry.
39:54I've been hungry for a long time and I'm ready to eat.
39:56Yeah.
39:57And I feel like Netflix can prepare a nice table for me.
40:00But let's get it.
40:01My name is Eva Evans.
40:03I am a product of Jamaican immigrants.
40:05Yes.
40:06My mother raised me by herself.
40:08I was raised by a single mother.
40:10But she tries to give me dating advice all the time.
40:12And I had to tell her the other day.
40:13I'm like, Ma, you've been single since I met you.
40:17Okay?
40:17And didn't you used to fuck with my father?
40:20And you kept his baby.
40:21You're wildin'.
40:21I'm not listening to nothing you gotta say.
40:25My sister's married.
40:26She always calling me, trying to hook me up with somebody the other day.
40:29Let me tell you.
40:30First of all, my sister married a Muslim man.
40:33Right?
40:33She converted to Islam for him.
40:35She calls me the other day.
40:37She says, Eva, come down to the mosque.
40:40There's some really nice young men I want to introduce you to.
40:43I said, sis, there's nothing mosque appropriate about a bitch.
40:48Okay?
40:49I got some halal pussy, but that's about it.
40:54Okay?
40:55I said, you and I live two complete different lives.
40:59You read the Quran, I fuck niggas named Quran.
41:05It's very different.
41:08I have a gay cousin always trying to give me dating advice.
41:11He's like, Eva, you should try to date a bisexual man.
41:14I said, I'd rather die alone.
41:16Let me explain.
41:17It's not homophobia.
41:21I'm just not open to constructive criticism.
41:27I feel like if I have a bisexual boyfriend and I'm giving him head, he'll stop me in the middle
41:32of it.
41:32He'll be like, babe, let me...
41:33Step to the side.
41:34Let me show you what I usually do.
41:37Let me show how real niggas suck dick.
41:43I'm not that progressive, y'all.
41:46Yeah.
41:46I'm not there.
41:48I do like to date older men.
41:50I'm in my early 30s.
41:51My preference and my recommendation to y'all if y'all want to go older is date a black man.
41:55Because with black men, you don't know how old they are.
42:00For real.
42:01They age so beautifully.
42:02Black people in general.
42:03But...
42:03So I was dating this older guy.
42:05And I knew he was older, but I didn't know how old.
42:07Until one day, he posted a Throwback Thursday.
42:10I'm sorry.
42:11His grandson helped him post a Throwback Thursday.
42:15But the picture was in black and white, y'all.
42:17So I was like, okay.
42:18There's got to be a filter because he looks exactly the same.
42:21And so I looked at the picture a little closer.
42:23I'm like, hold the fuck up.
42:24Is that a whites only bathroom in the background?
42:29How old is Earl?
42:31Goddamn.
42:32Earl.
42:33It's Earl.
42:34Goddamn.
42:37How old is Earl?
42:38Listen, my name is Eva Evans.
42:40Thank you for fucking with me.
42:41Have a good night.
42:44It's all raw, first and foremost.
42:48Unfiltered.
42:50Unapologetic.
42:50Thank you, y'all.
42:51I'm so engulfed in your world of storytelling.
42:55By the way, we weren't dealing with, like, punchline jokes.
42:59Setup, punchline jokes.
43:00No, no.
43:00We were in a story.
43:01You could hear a pin drop in this place.
43:04Right before the blow.
43:05Welcome to my lens.
43:06I'm gonna now take you.
43:07You're gonna go through the rabbit hole with me.
43:09Yes.
43:09My rabbit hole.
43:10I'm the tour guide.
43:11It's refreshing to see that that's an understood assignment.
43:15Eva, you know they say no cursing, right?
43:16You like, ah!
43:18I'm like, I'm gonna fuck you, niggas get money.
43:20I think I'm gonna fuck you with your girl.
43:28All right.
43:29Everybody was so good.
43:30This is why I wanted to fuck with you.
43:31I love this.
43:32Your energy.
43:33Your level of awareness.
43:35By the way, your excitement.
43:37Your attentiveness in watching them.
43:39Yeah, yeah.
43:39That's what I wanted you here, man.
43:41Usama is already through, so now we gotta decide who else is going with you.
43:45Okay.
43:46I'm a fan of Winston.
43:48So I'm gonna put the star.
43:50Who's next to Winston?
43:51Yep.
43:51You have one next to Reg.
43:52Yep.
43:52Eva.
43:53Super solid second.
43:54I think a very solid second.
43:55Very solid second, yeah.
43:57And then, I mean, Eatland, or maybe, maybe Tata.
44:02Your person also was Leclerc.
44:04Yep.
44:05I love Conor.
44:06So you like Leclerc over Eatland?
44:10Yeah.
44:11Great job.
44:12So funny.
44:13You killed that guy.
44:14Actually, it's very tight.
44:15It's very tight, actually.
44:16Y'all had a good show.
44:17It's just so stressful.
44:19It is.
44:19So our five.
44:20All right.
44:21All right.
44:22What a day.
44:23I mean, whoo!
44:25What me and Key do, his takeaway and observation was extremely valuable today, because mine's
44:31is a more methodical breakdown.
44:33His was so true and authentic to, oh my God, it made me laugh, but I like how he got
44:37there.
44:38I like the journey that he took me on.
44:39So together, I think we were able to make a combination that was extremely impactful for
44:44our choices today.
44:45I saw how hard everyone was killing and the level of people in the room.
44:48And I was like, I want to be that.
44:51And I feel like I, sometimes I am.
44:53This wasn't it.
44:55Yeah!
44:58All right.
45:00Phenomenal Showcase.
45:01We had a very, like, hard conversation, right?
45:04Like, you know, we're narrowing it down to five spots from the Showcase of 14.
45:10So understand that that is a very difficult decision.
45:13With that being said, I five.
45:16Lusama already told you that you're going over.
45:21Caitlin, you're, you're my second.
45:23Okay?
45:25From top to bottom, the tightest set that I saw.
45:28I was with you the whole time.
45:30Uh, number three.
45:34Eva.
45:35Uh, I think raw, unfiltered, smart.
45:40We saw Caitlin kill.
45:41We saw Eva kill.
45:43So I already knew.
45:43That's two down.
45:44And then, Lusama, bro, we down to two more people?
45:48I was like, oh, so let's just go home, guys.
45:50Hard decisions.
45:51You want to go four and five?
45:53Lots of toss-ups here and there.
45:54But ultimately, we had heard something in a way that we had never heard it before.
46:01And it was how you were delivering your material, Winston.
46:05The way that you were delivering your material.
46:08Okay, Winston.
46:09Your command, your stance, your volume, your voice.
46:13What we do is find a laugh where most people can't.
46:16Uh, good job in doing that.
46:18Finally.
46:18This is tough.
46:19Before you say it, like, we, we had an alignment of four.
46:23That's what took us so long to come up here.
46:26We were literally just batting the differences.
46:29And just moving the criteria around.
46:30And this is here.
46:31And how do you do this?
46:32And what, it was, it was insane.
46:33And those four comedians were.
46:36Uh, Connor, I love you saying, you know what?
46:39I'm a gay man and I'm gonna come up and my humor isn't just about being gay.
46:42It's actually about my world as a gay man.
46:45And my world as a gay man is interesting.
46:47That's smart comedy.
46:48Tata, I liked your set.
46:50I, I'm a fan of self-deprecation.
46:52As a comic, I understand the importance of self-deprecation.
46:55Titty bit, this is what they are.
46:57Uh, the elephants in the room.
47:00A voice is everything.
47:01Your voice was so strong.
47:03Reg, very smart, man.
47:04You know, I've heard homeless jokes before.
47:06But the idea of the bum off, you simplified it after.
47:09Right?
47:10It was, hey, uh, I'm sorry.
47:12Uh, I'm even more sorry.
47:13And that was it.
47:14You, you got out so fucking fast.
47:16But I got the concept of the bum off.
47:18We looked at each other and said, that's smart.
47:19That's smart, yeah.
47:20That's very fucking smart.
47:21LeClerc, dude.
47:22All your jokes and punchlines were fucking hidden, but they weren't really the punchlines.
47:25Like the, oh, 6-5, oh man, hey, well, why'd you stop?
47:28You think that that's the conversation piece, but you're in your set.
47:31I saw where you were going, and I watched each joke build.
47:36This was tough.
47:37This was really tough.
47:38But the fifth person going to call back is...
47:47Setting ready for the show, I don't know, I don't know.
47:50Hit another stage, gotta go, gotta go.
47:54Turned another page, another chapter, longer go.
47:57Had to live in this business, like a pro, like a pro.
48:00Stay up in it, we gon' get it.
48:02We drop in it, represent it, we jump in it.
48:05Gotta keep it hot, get the juice off in it.
48:06Never gon' stop, that's proof we quit it.
48:08Never gon' stop, we'll never quit it.
48:10Never gon' stop, this just the beginning.
48:11Never gon' stop, you thought that it ended, admit it.
48:13We gon' keep it moving, yeah, cause there ain't no other way.
48:17Only way to do it, cheer, do it every single day.
48:20Gotta keep the focus, yeah.
48:22By then and we loaded, man.
48:23That's the way we do it, cheer.
48:25You must have it backwards and back, back, back.
48:29Yeah, you got it.
48:30Back, back, back.
48:32Yeah, you got it.
48:34Back, back, back.
48:35Back, back.
48:36Yeah, you got it.
48:37Back, back, back.
48:41Back, back.
49:05Back, back.
49:06Back, back.
49:07Back, back.
49:07Back, back.
49:07Back, back.
49:07Back, back.
49:07You
