00:19That's the mean screen.
00:28Sunny day, sweeping the clouds away.
00:34On my way to where the air is sweet.
00:40Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?
00:47Come and play, everything's a-okay.
00:55Friendly neighbors, there's just where we be.
01:00Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?
01:06How to get to Sesame Street?

01:13How to get to Sesame Street?
01:22Oh, hi, welcome. Welcome to Sesame Street.

01:30It's V-Day!
01:32Yay!
01:34We're going to sing that great V song, and you can sing with us if you want to.
01:38Yeah, the words are easy.
01:40If you hear me, tell me something like this.
01:54Here we go.
02:02Must be V-Day on Sesame Street.
02:04V, V, V, V, V, V, V, V, V, V, V.
02:09Yeah!
02:11We have a very, very, very special guest today.
02:14It's the letter V, yay!
02:17Yay, V!
02:19Yay!
02:22Hello, V.
02:23Ah, hello.
02:25In honor of V-Day, we're gonna do things all day today
02:30that start with the letter V.
02:31And the letter V is going to tell us some of those great V words.
02:36I am?
02:38I don't know any.
02:41The letter V doesn't know any V words?
02:44I'm fresh from the factory.
02:46I don't know anything, but I'm happy to be here.
02:51What are some words that start with me?
02:55Well, there's a V, V, oh, very!
02:59Hmm, very.
03:00Hmm.
03:01Very interesting.
03:04Yeah!
03:04Hmm, is, uh, is that it?
03:07No, no, no!
03:08I want to start up another V word!
03:11Violin!
03:12Oh, that's a great V word, Elmo!
03:15Here we go!
03:16B, B, B, B, B, B, B, B.
03:23What's a violin.
03:25That's a violin.
03:27V, V, V, V, V.
03:31V...
03:32Violin.
04:07Wow, I'm the first letter in the word violin.
04:10That's great.
04:11Yeah.
04:11Hey, everybody.
04:12Look, look, look, look.
04:13See?
04:14Elmo plays the violin.
04:17See?
04:17And Elmo's going to play it right now.
04:20Oh, and that means Elmo will be doing something that starts with the letter V on V-Day.
04:26Yay!
04:28Okay.
04:29Here Elmo go.
04:38See?
04:39Elmo's going to play the violin all day, because it's V-Day, and violin starts with the letter V.
04:50Uh-huh.
04:51Are there any other words that start with the letter V, so maybe we could do some other things?
04:57Oh, there must be.
04:59Huh.
05:00Uh, do you know any other V words?
05:03No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
05:11V!
05:11V.
05:13Hmm.
05:19V.
05:21V.
05:29Vacuum.
05:32Nope.
05:34Wow.
05:35V starts then and vacuum cleaner.
05:39Yeah.
05:49Oh, wow. We're going to do something now that starts with the letter V.
05:54We're going to vacuum.
05:57This is so exciting.
05:59This is my day.
06:03V.
06:05Big bird! Big bird!
06:06Stop the music! Stop the music!
06:09There's a problem.
06:11Uh-oh.
06:12What problem?
06:13Well, Elmo and big bird don't have a vacuum cleaner.
06:16Neither does the letter V.
06:17Oh, you're right, Elmo.
06:19We don't have a vacuum cleaner.
06:20Where are we going to get one?
06:23Oh, I think I see a vacuum cleaner coming now.
06:27Hi, Snuffy.
06:29Hi, Snuffy.
06:30Hi, Elmo.
06:31Hello, Bert.
06:32Hi, Snuffy.
06:33Hello, letter V.
06:35I hear it's your day today.
06:39Yes, it is, but you don't look like a vacuum cleaner.
06:46That's because I'm not a vacuum cleaner.
06:49I'm a Snuffleupagus.
06:51Yeah, but Snuffy, Snuffle almost looks like part of a vacuum cleaner.
06:54Well, you know, that's true.
06:56It does.
06:59Oh, Snuffy, you can pretend to be a vacuum cleaner.
07:02Yeah.
07:02And then we'd be doing something that starts with the letter V.
07:06Yeah.
07:06Yeah.
07:07That is brilliant, Bert.
07:09Yeah.
07:09All right.
07:10I will pretend to be a vacuum cleaner.
07:13Uh, how do I do that?
07:16Oh, like this.
07:18Watch.
07:23Ah, so that's what a vacuum cleaner sounds like.
07:28Yeah.
07:28Kind of like this.
07:31Whoa, Snuffy, Snuffy, a little louder.
07:34A little louder.
07:36Yeah.
07:37Make it a little bit more vacuum-y.
07:42I think he's good.
07:47Where's Snuffy going?
07:48Why?
07:48I'm gonna go vacuum Sesame Street because I'm a vacuum cleaner and that's what vacuum cleaners
07:56do.
07:57Vacuum.
07:59Bye, vacuum cleaner.
08:01Bye.
08:02Bye.
08:05He must be a method vacuum cleaner.
08:09Oh, Snuffy, I think you missed a spot.
08:13Big bird.
08:15I have some moon questions for you.
08:17Okay.
08:18Okay?
08:18Um, if we go to the moon, how long do you think it will take us to get there?
08:26About, um, maybe 10 miles.
08:3010 miles.
08:3110 miles.
08:32Okay.
08:32And, um, when we get to the moon, what do you think would be up there?
08:37I think they'd be weird looking creatures, sort of like alien creatures, and they have
08:46big black eyes, and their little tiny nose, no ears, and they have hands and arms and a
08:54body, but they wear no clothes.
08:56They might not.
08:58Hey, I have an idea.
09:00What?
09:01Let's pretend you and I are on a rocket ship.
09:03Okay.
09:04Going to the moon.
09:05Okay?
09:06You wanna drive?
09:07Okay.
09:07Okay, you drive.
09:08Oh, we have to have a countdown.
09:09Can you count down from 10 to 1?
09:11Yeah.
09:11Okay, here we go.
09:12Ready?
09:12And, countdown.
09:1310, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0.
09:22Blast off!
09:23Okay, drive.
09:24Drive.
09:25Drive.
09:25Careful for that star over there.
09:27Watch out.
09:27Watch out for that astronaut.
09:29Okay.
09:29Okay.
09:30Take me to the moon.
09:31Okay?
09:32Are we there yet?
09:34Yeah.
09:35Are we landed?
09:36Yeah.
09:37Okay.
09:37Let's get out to the moon.
09:38Let's look around.
09:39Look around.
09:40What do you see?
09:42I see weird alien creatures.
09:45Yeah?
09:45And they're having a, hmm, an alien cake.
09:50An alien cake?
09:51Yeah, and they're eating some good alien cake with a cherry on top.
09:56Really?
09:57Mm-hmm.
09:58Is it a birthday party for aliens?
10:00Yeah, it might be one of the alien birthdays.
10:04Yeah.
10:05Then what should we do?
10:06Should we look around the moon?
10:08Okay.
10:08Okay.
10:09Okay.
10:09You lead the way.
10:10I'm scared.
10:11What do you see?
10:12I see a few little baby aliens driving in the car to the alien birthday party.
10:18Oh, this is fun.
10:20You know, I have to get home soon.
10:22Should we go back to the spaceship?
10:23Yeah.
10:24Okay.
10:25Okay.
10:25Let's take us home.
10:26Ready?
10:27Blast off!
10:30Okay.
10:30Okay.
10:31Take it.
10:31Okay.
10:32Okay.
10:32Now, land the ship home.
10:34Is it landed?
10:35Yeah.
10:36Oh, good.
10:37Oh, you're a wonderful astronaut driver person thing.
10:41Yes, that was fun.
10:42Thank you for taking us to the moon.
10:45You know what?
10:46What?
10:46Look up there.
10:47We were in the moon.
10:49Right on the moon.
11:00Hey, Snufflepur.
11:01Hmm?
11:02What you doing here around my trash can?
11:05I'm vacuuming.
11:07Vacuuming?
11:08Mm-hmm.
11:08Hey, don't vacuum around here.
11:10You might make it neat.
11:12What?
11:12She...
11:13Sheesh.
11:15What a grouch.
11:31I love my rubber ducky.
11:34I love my rubber ducky.
11:37Ernie.
11:38I love my rubber...
11:39Ernie.
11:40What, Bert?
11:41Ernie.
11:42Yeah?
11:42You promised me you'd have this place cleaned up before lunchtime.
11:46Now, you promised me that.
11:47Oh, well, don't worry, Bert.
11:48I will.
11:49I will.
11:49Oh, boy.
11:50You know, spick and span by lunchtime.
11:52Sure.
11:52Oh, yeah?
11:53Now, stop that with the ducky.
11:55Okay.
11:55Sorry.
11:55Look, for your information, Ernie, we're gonna have lunch in just a minute or two.
11:59Mm-hmm.
11:59And you got a couple of hours' work here to get this whole mess cleaned up.
12:02Oh, no, Bert.
12:03No, no.
12:04Not the way I work.
12:05Because I am the fastest cleaner-upper you ever saw.
12:08Oh, yeah?
12:08Why, once I get going, I am a regular white tornado.
12:12Yeah, well, listen.
12:13If you can clean this mess up before lunchtime, you're Superman.
12:17I bet I can do it.
12:18Now, cut that out with a ducky.
12:20I bet you can't.
12:21You've only got a minute left before lunch.
12:23Okay.
12:23What do you want to bet, Bert?
12:25I bet you my dessert.
12:27Dessert?
12:28Yeah.
12:28If you do it, I'll give you my dessert.
12:30Ha.
12:30Oh, well, what's for dessert today?
12:32Because I don't do my super-fast clean-up job just for any old dessert, you know?
12:36Cookies and ice cream.
12:38Cookies?
12:39Cookies and ice cream?
12:40Yep.
12:40Cookies and ice cream?
12:41That's my favorite dessert of all times.
12:43I know.
12:43Okay, you're on.
12:44You're on.
12:44How much time have I got?
12:45You have 15 seconds.
12:4815 seconds.
12:49Yeah.
12:49Stand back.
12:50Here goes old Ernie.
12:51Faster than a speeding bullet.
12:52On your mark.
12:53Get set.
12:54Go.
13:09For cookies and ice cream, I can do anything.
13:12Come on, Bert.
13:13Lunch time.
13:16It's not fair.
13:18It's just not fair.
13:22Suffering.
13:23Suffering.
13:32Fill, screw, blur,
13:52Put your trash in the can
13:54Get your litter in the basket
13:55And we'll be your biggest fan
13:59Toss it in the trash can
14:01Fill it to the top
14:02The earth is getting dirty
14:03And this is no time to stop
14:07Two points, four points, six points, eight
14:10Cleaning up the litter isn't something that can wait
14:12Dribble in, lay it up
14:14Get your feet up off the ground
14:15If you miss your first shot
14:16Go and get the rebound
14:18Foul shots the referee
14:19Take another shot
14:20Everybody back away
14:22And now you're getting hot
14:23Shoot it from the outside
14:27Three-point score
14:28Swish it through the basket
14:30That's what the cannon score
14:31Pass it to your next
14:33And pass it to your right
14:34And everybody on our team
14:35Our team is out of sight
14:36So slam it or dunk it
14:38Be careful with your aim
14:39The litter is a problem
14:41We can fix with the game
14:42Pick it up, pick it up
14:43Shoot it from the line
14:45Or bring it to the basket
14:46Every shot is fine
14:48Slam it, pick it up
14:50Dunk it, dunk it, dunk it
14:53Enough cleaning

18:11Well, Snuffy, where have you been?
18:14Well, let's see.
18:15I have vacuumed your nest, and I vacuumed the fix-it shop, and I vacuumed Hooper's store.
18:25Hooper's store!
18:26And now I'm gon'...
18:28Ah, uh-oh.
18:31Well, what's wrong, Snuffy?

19:03Uh-oh.
19:07Out of his vault came Vinnie the Vampire to enter a variety show.
19:14When the vegetables flew, was then Vinnie new that vamoose was the best thing to do.
19:21He did vanish on cue.

20:33Bye-bye, Smuffy.
20:35Bye.
20:37Whoa. So, letter V, you went all around the world?
20:42The whole world?
20:44Yes, and I learned so much about the letter V.
20:47What did the letter V learn?
20:49Oh, a lot of V words. Well, I was in Venice and Venezuelan, Virginia, and I ate vichy swabs and
20:56vegetables.
20:57Wow. This has to be the greatest V-Day ever.
21:04Oh, boy. Am I hungry? Hmm. Maybe a donut, yeah.

21:24Ah, bakeries. I love this stuff. Cakes, donuts, cookies. Ah. Can I get some help here, please?
21:33Oh, hello, sir.
21:35Oh, no. It's you. You're the guy that works over at Charlie's.
21:41Well, yes, sir. I have many jobs. I'm still trying to find my niche in life.

35:47First, I cross it like this.
35:54Then, next, I make a loop like this.
35:58Then, I put it around like that.

36:55Now, Elmo will ask you a question about hats.
36:59How many gallons of water fit into a 10-gallon hat?

38:40And it's a tight thing, too.
38:49Elmo knows something else about hats.
38:53You can make them yourself.
38:55Yeah, Elmo's friend, Nicole, made her very own hat.
38:59And I told Elmo how she did it.
39:06First, Nicole got everything she needed to make her hat.
39:13A big piece of construction paper.
39:17Some glue.
39:19Some very pretty glitter.
39:22And a feather.
39:25Then Nicole wrapped the construction paper around the top of her head in the shape of a cone.
39:33Nicole's mom helped a little.
39:37Then Nicole glued the hat together.
39:42It took a little while for the glue to dry.
39:46Then Nicole took the glue and made squiggly lines all over the hat.
39:56Then Nicole took the pretty glitter and poured it on the squiggly lines of glue.
40:02And they finished it with a feather.
40:06And that's why Nicole made her hat.
40:10Super hat, Nicole.
40:25Boy, Elmo liked Nicole's hat so much.
40:28Nicole gave it to Elmo.
40:31She's very nice.
