00:00Mount Rushmore R&B.
00:01I'm going to say Michael Jackson.
00:03He the king of pop, but he the king of everything really.
00:08Usher, Breezy, and me in 10 years.
00:11Is it four people on Mount Rushmore or five?
00:20Lullaby is about, it's a love song.
00:23You know, honestly, it was inspired by Harv and Felicia.
00:25They wrote a lot of it and they brought it to me with the hook, the everything done except
00:29the bridge.
00:29We made the bridge together and my brother Paradise jumped on it.
00:32It's inspired by, you know, love.
00:33It's just love is in the air.
00:34It felt real close to home when we made it, when I cut it.
00:37So it was perfect for me at the time.
00:47I'm a lover boy.
00:48I'm able to give my heart pretty easy.
00:49I hate to say that because I feel like I'm a mark.
00:52I love Kia Lick for love.
00:53Hey, that's just what it is and I just got a good heart.
00:55So I've been trying to guard it.
00:57To give my heart away, it probably, it just take real authenticity from a person, from
01:03a girl.
01:03Because it's a lot of fakery out here.
01:05You know, it's just a lot of deceivery, the spirit of Jezebel, everywhere.
01:16What does it say?
01:16Space makes the heart grow fonder or whatever it is.
01:19That's real though.
01:20Like when you have some time away from your partner, from your girl, it makes you love
01:24them more.
01:24So that's always mandatory.
01:44Raising the bar is just showing me something I ain't never seen when it comes to like the
01:48relationship aspect or just even as a friend, you know, even as a female friend.
01:52All I want is just somebody that's being real with me and that's raising the bar to me.
01:56Yeah.
01:56I'll give you clear direction under my protection.
02:01We've been through the lessons, I'll be damned if they want to test it.
02:04Yeah.
02:05In the physical aspect, like I'ma protect my girl.
02:06That's one.
02:07And you know, I'ma protect your mental, you know, I'm always aware of that, you know.
02:14Just no confusion, you know.
02:15If it's confusion in a relationship, it's probably something going on.
02:18So, I just want to eliminate all of that.
02:20Protect you.
02:21Protect your mind.
02:28I'm not a hitch.
02:29I don't know when it's the best time to hold somebody down.
02:32I'm pretty bad at it, to be honest.
02:33I'm good at holding somebody down.
02:34I'm a real loyal person at heart and I feel like I be getting trampled on sometimes.
02:39So, you know, don't take my advice.
02:58You know, when you sing to somebody a lullaby, it's just the ultimate comfort, you know.
03:03I just want to be comfortable with you.
03:04I want you to be comfortable with me.
03:05I want to sing you to sleep.
03:07I want to lay you down.
03:08I want to just be able to make sure that you're, you know, as soft as you want to be.
03:21I write little things.
03:22I feel like a love language of mine is, you know, just being sentimental and being personal
03:28and, you know, effort.
03:29So, I love to receive that, so I'll give that.
03:39Some of my favorite love songs, definitely like, I feel like Yo is a love song, Chris
03:43Brown, Yo.
03:44I love that song.
03:45It's just beautiful to me.
03:46I love beautiful music.
03:47You know, I make a lot of my favorite love songs, so I don't know.
03:51Lullaby.
04:00The process working on the bridge was amazing.
04:05I'm always so excited to get into the studio with Harv and Felicia.
04:09They're amazing.
04:10They're a couple.
04:10So, you know, it was easy to make love music with them, you know, because they know what
04:15love is like.
04:15I feel like a lot of the music nowadays, I'm not even going to say that it's lazy or worse.
04:22I think, you know, it's a lot of dope artists out there, but, you know, getting back to
04:26that classic element and actually just getting into your craft and, you know, bringing back,
04:32you know, instruments, you know, different things like that.
04:35I think it's dope, you know?
04:36And I feel like that kind of separates me in a way.
04:39So, I love Bridges.
04:46I just thought about all the things I love about a girl, about when a girl leaves or when
04:50I'm not around a girl.
04:51Like, I care about, you know, how a girl presents to herself, like the smell, the way they look.
04:54It sticks in your mind.
04:56So, you know, I was kind of just digging deep and, you know, a little imagination, you know,
04:59at the time, but then I kind of, you know, experienced it.
05:02So, it's real.
05:05My favorite memory with this song, I got two of them.
05:07Probably making it and performing it on Jennifer Hudson because I love Jennifer Hudson and I
05:12really respect her show and I'm so happy that I was able to step on that stage, you know,
05:16talk to her.
