00:00Every Challenge Cup, everyone wants to win.
00:02Crazy gang of feet in the Culture Club.
00:06Gerrard!
00:07Oh, yes!
00:08The score is in the end, but it continues.
00:11What a goal!
00:12Right for the score!
00:14It's D-Wall Trouble!
00:15Give it up!
00:16Give it up!
00:18This is the moment of joy that all professional footballers hope for.
00:22A moment to trade for the first time.
00:24Crystal Palace, a winner!
00:29Good evening and welcome to Wembley Stadium for the second semifinal between Chelsea and Leeds United.
00:35Yesterday, Manchester City booked their place in the FA Cup final, beating Southampton by two goals to one.
00:41Who will join them in that final?
00:43Let's find out.
00:43In the company of Danny Murphy and Guy Mowbray.
00:48Chelsea walk out for their 28th FA Cup semifinal after another turbulent week in the strangest of seasons.
00:55For Leeds is their ninth, the first for 39 years.
00:58And their fans, as always, have travelled en masse to play their part in reaching the final for the first
01:04time since 1973.
01:06Callum McFarlane's first Chelsea selection, second time round as interim boss, shows three changes from Liam Resenia's last choice.
01:13Toss-ins back in defence.
01:15Alejandro Garnaccio gets a start, having scored in the quarter and semi-final.
01:19And the same goes for João Pedro.
01:21He returns after missing the last two games with a thigh problem.
01:24Cole Palmer fit two and on the bench.
01:27For Leeds, well, their only change is in goal with Lucas Perry continuing to be the designated cupkeeper.
01:33Jadon Bogle's recovered from a blow to the foot at Bournemouth on Wednesday.
01:36And there are first starts in the cup this season for Brendan Aronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
01:42Danny Murphy is alongside me to enjoy this.
01:46Long time since they've been here.
01:48Big day for them.
01:50Big day for Chelsea too.
01:51Six previous FA Cup ties between these two most famous teams.
01:56Chelsea have won all six.
01:59The last one came in the fifth round a couple of years ago.
02:02And that was the first time they met since the infamous 1970 Cup final and replay.
02:09The game dubbed the dirtiest ever.
02:11A game watched by the biggest TV audience for a football match in this country ever as well.
02:16And Leeds have started really brightly and surged downfield to get themselves a free kick just outside the Chelsea box.
02:23He's actually looking not to get a yellow card in the press here.
02:26Yeah, certainly stopped a very promising attack.
02:30Strange.
02:31It's one of those where 15 minutes in you get a yellow, but the first minute you get away with
02:35it.
02:40Robert Sanchez has got to set himself for whatever comes his way.
02:43It is Tanaka and nothing's going his way.
02:46And what they didn't do was make the keeper work.
02:48Yeah, you see, from the angle of free kick, really, you're either going over the wall or you're going the
02:54side of the keeper as hard as you can.
02:57And McFarlane is the Southampton staff at academy level when they beat Leeds in the play-off final here two
03:04years ago.
03:06I think he only joined Chelsea last summer to be the boss of the under-21 side.
03:12This season's taken a couple of turns for him.
03:15They did all right this first game, didn't they?
03:16I think it was Man City game.
03:17True, against Manchester City and then lost against Fulham.
03:20But I don't think there was any argument to say the players weren't responding to whatever he'd asked them to
03:24do.
03:24They certainly were.
03:25And they've got to again today.
03:27Chelsea having lost seven of their last eight games across all competitions,
03:31losing their last five in the Premier League without scoring a single goal.
03:34First time that's happened to Chelsea in their league history since 1912.
03:41Good ball.
03:42Calvert-Lewin has played it through for Aronson.
03:46And Sanchez reacts.
03:51Right leg raised just at the right time.
03:54Lovely little touch from Calvert-Lewin.
03:56Aronson in on goal.
03:58And Sanchez did what he had to do.
04:01He's in one-on-one.
04:02He's got a score, really, there, guy.
04:04It is a terrific save from Sanchez, of course.
04:07But he's got so much room, I decide, of him.
04:10I'm not sure he's going to get a better opportunity than that this afternoon.
04:14Leeds United royalty here.
04:15Eddie Gray is at every Leeds game.
04:17Now, there are the memories of 1970.
04:21Personified.
04:22What a player.
04:23What a great man.
04:24Absolutely.
04:26Throws it into no-man's land.
04:28Lavia wasn't a great header by Biol.
04:30Fernandes to Joao Pedro.
04:32It's off the post.
04:34All came from Biol's rather weak header away.
04:38Inch away from being the first goal.
04:40But Leeds gave it to them.
04:42You know, Biol, he had nobody around him.
04:43A bit of communication or a bit of calmness on a normal day.
04:47You mentioned how Leeds need to restore a little bit of calm.
04:51He's usually a picture of calm.
04:53He needs to transmit himself to his team.
04:58Just reaching the midway point of a really lively first half in the second semi-final.
05:04It would be fair to say mistake-ridden.
05:06Well, it would be watching that.
05:07Strauch's giving it away.
05:08Here's Pedro Neto.
05:11Neto in.
05:12Fernandes!
05:14Chelsea's captain.
05:16Heads them in front.
05:19Pascal Strauch a little uncertain in possession in his own half.
05:23Chelsea had two players running into the box.
05:26Neto's job.
05:27Ping one of them out.
05:29Job done.
05:30Well, they haven't learnt.
05:32Two minutes ago, Biol makes the mistake.
05:34This time it's Strauch.
05:35Dwelling on the ball.
05:36Poor play.
05:37Lacks of days of call.
05:39Taking too many touches.
05:40Just get rid.
05:41And then when Neto gets in there, can he pick out a right cross?
05:45Yes, he can.
05:45It's a simple task for Fernandes to head it in there.
05:49Master of their own downfall.
05:50Leeds.
05:52It's worth remarking on a little bit of Liam Resenia aftermath.
05:56Remember whether it was the club's decision or the then head coach's decision,
06:00but Enzo Fernandes was left out of the last round of the FA Cup.
06:04Well, suspended officially by the club.
06:07For all that you might think about Enzo Fernandes,
06:09and it was a curious scene, wasn't it,
06:11at the end of the match at Brighton in midweek,
06:12and he was staring down the Chelsea fans.
06:15They are a better team when he's in it.
06:22Fernandes.
06:26Melo Gusto.
06:30Not the best of passes to Pedro Neto.
06:35VAR are just having a look
06:37at something involving Calvert-Lewin and Cucurea.
06:42And this is it.
06:44Bear in mind,
06:45there was a red card
06:47for a hair pull on Calvert-Lewin recently.
06:51Calvert-Lewin had a hold.
06:52He's not looking at the ball.
06:53He's not looking at the ball.
06:55His hands got caught, maybe,
06:56on the back of his hair or head.
06:58There's nothing in that.
07:00I don't think hair nets are a bad idea.
07:04I never thought we were going to go down this route this afternoon.
07:07Well, you have to wear one if you work at McDonald's, don't you?
07:13Save a lot of my day.
07:15More from McMurphy later.
07:16Yep.
07:20Two Leeds changes
07:21for the start of the second half.
07:24Joe Rodon
07:25and Anton Stack
07:26have come on
07:28replacing
07:28Jacob Beal
07:29and James Justin.
07:32I think, Danny,
07:33that has made a shift
07:34to a back four
07:35for Leeds.
07:36Yeah, I think it was
07:36the right thing to do.
07:37Match them up,
07:38take more of a risk,
07:39gives you an extra man in midfield.
07:41It's a long Leeds throw.
07:44Strouk is beaten to the ball,
07:45but Chelsea can't get the ball away properly.
07:48That's a good effort.
07:48Good save, Sanchez.
07:50What a save.
07:51And enough strength on the hand
07:52to divert the ball
07:53onto the roof of his net.
07:55Such a crisp strike.
07:57He thinks he scored.
07:59That is such a strong hand from Sanchez.
08:01He's had some criticism this season,
08:03but he's made two outstanding saves this afternoon.
08:09I always thought
08:10Elvis was from Leeds
08:11and I've been proved correct.
08:17Glavie to Neto.
08:21Neto through for Malagusto,
08:23who's turned two.
08:24Lovely touch.
08:25Has to be, doesn't it?
08:27Took too long about it
08:28and Leeds are able to recover.
08:31What a move.
08:33Would have been one of the goals of the season.
08:35It's a phenomenal move.
08:37Lots of great pass in
08:39and interchange.
08:40When it comes to Jao Bedri,
08:42he's just got to hit it.
08:43Takes an extra touch
08:45and Tanaka gets in.
08:47Been let off there.
08:49That was move of the match.
08:50That was move of the weekend.
08:54Kevin Farker deep in thought,
08:55as he so often is.
08:57The voice might have been a bit deep during half-time.
08:59He might have just raised the decibel level a bit.
09:03Does it have that feel, Danny,
09:04of a game where if Leeds do score,
09:06then Chelsea have a real spot above it?
09:09Absolutely.
09:09Momentum could shiv.
09:14Okafor.
09:15He's really tight to that touchline this half.
09:18Trying to use the ball well.
09:19He's done it there!
09:20Oh, he's got his goal.
09:21Calvin Lewin's header is straight at Sanchez
09:24and it basically gave him catching practice.
09:27Great opportunity for Dominic Calvin Lewin.
09:29No power, no direction.
09:34It's a good ball in to Anton Shtak
09:36and an even better one from him out to Bogle.
09:41Shtak.
09:43He's gone down.
09:44Caicedo and Lavia came together to stop him
09:47and the yellow card's out now.
09:49Moises Caicedo has got it
09:50and Leeds have got the free kick.
09:52Good move again from Leeds, wasn't it?
09:54Just catches his ankle, doesn't he?
09:56He's a little bit late.
09:58Sanchez has gone down.
10:00And the Leeds fans have reacted to that.
10:04See, this is the problem, though, isn't it, with the rules?
10:06If you made it so a player has to go off
10:08for the goalkeeper, then we would see less of this.
10:12And there's a little bit sparking
10:14over on the halfway line.
10:16Lavia is involved in a confrontation,
10:18a bit of pushing going on.
10:20This is Chelsea against Leeds.
10:22We've been waiting for it.
10:24And Padua was trying to get in
10:26and stop the conversation
10:27between Tosin and Callum McFarlane,
10:30the interim boss of Chelsea.
10:32Because Leeds clearly have the idea
10:34that Sanchez taking a seat
10:36was purely engineered
10:38so that the coaching staff
10:40could get instructions onto the players
10:41as to how to get this defended.
10:46Stac, Stac has a go
10:48and it beats the post
10:51and Sanchez doesn't have to make any sort of effort
10:55to save it.
10:55Sanchez, by the way, is okay.
10:58Do you know what?
10:58I'm really surprised.
10:59You?
11:00I'm joking.
11:07Stac can advance into Chelsea territory.
11:13Mecha just let that run away
11:16and in stretching to try
11:18and keep possession
11:19he's committed the foul
11:20and got himself a booking.
11:21Is it the toes
11:22or the top of the studs?
11:25That's not a red card.
11:27He catches him a little bit
11:28but he doesn't mean to
11:29and there's no velocity in it.
11:35Fernandes.
11:40Bogle has given it to Pedro Neto
11:42Leeds lucky to get it back
11:43Bogle then has his shirt pulled by Neto
11:45Neto down as though elbowed
11:47referee had already given the free kick
11:50to Leeds United.
11:53Well he's going to give a yellow card to Neto
11:55but he's already given a yellow card to Bogle.
11:58Just the end of his fingers on his cheek.
12:01You make that sound as though it's nothing.
12:02It was nothing.
12:04Hence the fact Neto's up
12:06and fine
12:07after looking like he needed an ambulance.
12:11They have to keep believing
12:12only one goal in this.
12:15And they're going to hope for the lucky break.
12:17Lucas Perry.
12:20Strauch is up there
12:21extra forward.
12:24Nonto will let it go for a throw
12:25and Perdue will take it.
12:28And he's going to hurl it into that Chelsea penalty area
12:31and hope that mayhem falls Leeds' way.
12:34Why not?
12:36Goalkeeper Lucas Perry's going for it.
12:38This has to be it.
12:40And Perdue.
12:41Sanchez is coming to get it.
12:43Two hands on it.
12:45And Perdue and Nonto in one another's way.
12:47Nonto then blocked by Parma.
12:51Parma again.
12:52And that will be it.
12:56Chelsea have got themselves together.
12:59And they've managed to engineer
13:01a real team performance
13:03to take themselves through
13:05to yet another FA Cup final.
13:09One goal won it.
13:11Enzo Fernandes scored it.
13:13But for Chelsea
13:14what about the story
13:15of Callum McFarlane?
13:18In amateur football
13:19it seems five minutes ago
13:21brought in as the under-21 boss
13:23at the start of this season.
13:25At the end of it
13:26he'll be leading Chelsea out
13:28here at Wembley
13:29for an FA Cup final.
13:31It'll be all blue at Wembley
13:33on May the 16th.
13:34Two different shades of blue.
13:35It'll be Manchester City
13:37against Chelsea.
13:38In the Cup final.
13:40Today in the semi
13:40Chelsea won.
13:42Leeds nil.
13:44Many congratulations.
13:45Callum
13:45what were the important factors
13:47for you in that
13:48FA Cup semi-final win?
13:50Probably the character
13:50was the most pleasing part.
13:52I think
13:52those lads showed
13:53how much they want to win
13:55a football game
13:55and what they were willing to do
13:56to win a really important
13:57football game for the club.
13:58How important was it
14:00to get that early goal?
14:02Did you feel it
14:03lifted the confidence?
14:05Yeah definitely.
14:06Of course.
14:06I thought we deserved it.
14:07The lads are confident
14:08there's some top players
14:09and they're some of the best players
14:10in my opinion
14:11some of the best players
14:11in the world
14:12for their position
14:13but when you're in a difficult period
14:15it just feels like
14:17luck's going against you
14:18it doesn't feel like
14:18it's going to click
14:19so maybe
14:20that gave them
14:20a bit more of a
14:21less stress
14:22and a bit more confidence
14:23to go and play their game.
14:24It was sadly not
14:25our very best day
14:26and for that
14:27I was disappointed with this
14:29but also for the players
14:30it's a good experience
14:31and it's also like
14:32once you're again there
14:33with such a big game
14:34then you have learnt out of it
14:35and go a bit more
14:36with a bit more confidence
14:38and less nervousness
14:39into the game
14:40and I think this is more
14:41than what we take out of it
14:42we had nothing to lose today
14:44just a lot to win.
14:45We saw the goalkeeper
14:46Robert Sanchez
14:47go down with an injury
14:48which we know
14:49is going to stop play
14:50did you feel that
14:50that stifled your momentum?
14:53No comments
14:54from my side
14:54I've spoken about this topic
14:56already
14:57after a loss
14:58I want to show some class
14:59and for that
14:59no comments for us.
15:01I don't know
15:01if you were genuinely injured
15:02or not
15:02I mean you can tell me
15:04but obviously we have seen
15:05a tactic that's been used
15:07by goalkeepers a lot.
15:08It wasn't a tactic
15:08I was hurt
15:09I've been hurt
15:10for the last four days
15:11but it's not too bad
15:13it was costing me
15:14a bit of pain
15:14but yeah
15:15it helped the team
15:16give it a little break
15:17so it's one of them
15:18and with the save
15:19at the start of the second half
15:21did you see that
15:22relatively late
15:23because it was really travelling
15:24it was very late
15:25it was a bit of intuition
15:26because I didn't see it
15:27popping out on the left side
15:28so I was like
15:29has to go to the right side
15:30so I took my step
15:31and it was a good save
15:32to be honest
15:33I thought that
15:34after the save
15:35it was going in
15:35but it just hit the top
15:36of the team
15:36so I'm happy with that
15:38yeah
15:38Does it feel surreal
15:39the fact that
15:40you're here
15:41you're looking after
15:42this big football club
15:43and now you're
15:44going to be leading them out
15:45in an FA Cup final
15:46as well
15:47you don't have time
15:48to take it in
15:49maybe at the end of the season
15:50it will sink in
15:51but right now
15:52it's just head down
15:52hard work
15:53and make sure
15:54we're performing
15:55as well as we can
15:56for the remaining
15:56five games now
15:57Danny Murphy has sped
15:59from the commentary box
16:00to join mid-pitch side
16:01Danny
16:01enjoy that
16:02I actually did
16:03I thought it was a good
16:04technical battle
16:05the change at half time
16:06from Leeds
16:06worked for them
16:07I thought Chelsea
16:08were a really good
16:08first half
16:09good reaction
16:10after the
16:11diabolical performance
16:12at Brighton
16:13they showed some resilience
16:14they showed some fight
16:15it's what their fans wanted
16:17and I thought at half time
16:18they were comfortable
16:18but that change
16:19tactically
16:20and the two subs
16:20second half for Leeds
16:22made it a real good game
16:23second half
16:24and you know
16:25the goalkeeper
16:26who will come on to
16:27I'm sure
16:27but he made a couple
16:28of great saves
16:28to get Chelsea
16:30over the line
16:30so a big win
16:31a big win
16:32getting them to a final
16:33after what's been
16:34a disastrous month or two
16:36there'll be a lot
16:37of happy smiles
16:37and faces now
16:38in that Chelsea dressing room
16:39after a torrid few weeks
16:41Enzo Fernandes
16:42man in the news
16:43over the past couple of days
16:43or so
16:44gets the header
16:45but Leeds United
16:46made it far too easy
16:47for him
16:48they did
16:49they made some mistakes
16:50in the first half
16:50they were
16:51they were
16:51causing their own problems
16:53maybe a bit of nerves
16:54you know
16:54big occasion
16:55understandable
16:56but you can't keep
16:57giving Chelsea chances
16:58Pedro Neto
16:59he got in on that
17:00right hand side
17:00and could he find
17:02the right cross
17:02yeah it was perfect
17:03on his weak foot
17:04and Fernandes
17:05to be fair
17:05player of his quality
17:07nice easy header
17:08for him
17:09just settled
17:09everybody down
17:10settled Chelsea
17:11players down
17:12settled the fans down
17:15and then deserved it
17:16in that with their
17:16first half performance
17:17you mentioned
17:18Robert Sanchez
17:19I mean some
17:19outstanding saves
17:20and also
17:22Dominic Calvert-Lewin
17:23that header
17:23he's got to do better
17:24Danny
17:25I think Dominic Calvert-Lewin
17:26will be really disappointed
17:27because he's so good in the air
17:28yeah
17:28you know normally
17:29that type of thing
17:30he thrives on
17:32in terms of Sanchez
17:33I mean
17:34he's had a lot of criticism
17:37he can be proud of his performance
17:38he can be proud of his performance today
17:39I thought the first save
17:40from Aronson
17:42he was big
17:42he kept himself
17:44upright a long time
17:45just instinct as well
17:46yeah he saved it with his foot
17:47I mean it wasn't the best finish
17:48but still a terrific save
17:50but the save of the day
17:51was the strong hand
17:53from Stack early
17:54and I think it was his first touch
17:55in the second half
17:56he won't hit a sweeter ball
17:58and that
17:58and to have the strength
18:00in it
18:00he needed a bit of luck
18:01because it went up in the air
18:02and landed on the roof of the net
18:03but it's a brilliant save from him
18:04and
18:05you know maybe those fans
18:06will appreciate
18:06because I think he's
18:08a decent keeper
18:09in many aspects
18:10it's just with his feet sometimes
18:11he gets a bit flustered
18:12but
18:12he had a terrific day
18:14and the Chelsea players
18:15I'm sure will be thanking him
18:16in there today
18:16just going back to Calvert-Lewin
18:18if he heads out either side
18:19of Sanchez
18:19he's got to force Sanchez
18:20to make a save
18:21some Leeds United fans
18:22are round by us
18:22with their head in their hands
18:23thinking
18:24he's got a score there
18:25is that what might cost him
18:26a place in the World Cup?
18:28Yeah the inconsistency
18:29yeah
18:29when he's on it
18:31he scores that
18:32doesn't he?
18:33because he can be a handful
18:33can't he?
18:34he is a handful
18:34and he leads the line well
18:36and one of his strengths
18:37is his aerial ability
18:38and that's what he craves
18:40crosses
18:40he won't sleep tonight
18:42thinking about that
18:43for a man of his quality
18:44in the air
18:44that was a really
18:45really poor effort
18:46I want to ask you something
18:48Dan
18:48that's creeping into
18:49our game
18:50and that is
18:50goalkeepers going down
18:52players going down
18:53to get treatment
18:53because just at that moment
18:55where Robert Sanchez
18:56went down and got treatment
18:57something went on
18:58here pitch side
18:59with Ethan Ampadu
19:00and a few of the Chelsea players
19:01as well
19:01did that just break up
19:02that little bit of momentum
19:03for you?
19:03I actually thought it did
19:04I thought Leeds were
19:06having their best spell
19:06in the game
19:07I thought it did
19:09stop that momentum
19:10and confidence
19:11that they were building
19:12I can't blame
19:13the Chelsea staff
19:14and the players
19:15for doing it
19:16because the law
19:17is there
19:18well there isn't a law
19:19there that stops it
19:20I don't like it
19:21I don't think it's
19:22does it need clamping down
19:23it does need clamping down
19:25something needs to be done
19:26because it was an obvious
19:28tactical stoppage
19:29you know
19:30so he could get information
19:31onto the players
19:31I don't blame the goalkeeper
19:32other teams have done it
19:34other teams will do it
19:35before now
19:35and the end of the season
19:37you need to either
19:39make the player go off
19:40but that's really unlikely
19:41to happen with a goalkeeper
19:42but one of the outfield players
19:43has to come off
19:45that's all you can do
19:46you can't
19:47not stop the game
19:48because it might be
19:49a genuine injury
19:50you can't
19:50so are you thinking law
19:52as opposed to
19:53stronger refereeing
19:54I don't know what a referee
19:56can do because if the player
19:57is saying I'm genuinely injured
19:58he can't risk him
19:59saying no you're not
20:01he can't be the judge and jury
20:02I think you just have to make
20:04one of the outfield players
20:05go off
20:06so even if you do have
20:07that tactical stop
20:07maybe also you could say
20:09none of the players
20:10on the pitch
20:10are allowed to talk to the staff
20:12while the goalkeeper
20:13is getting treatment
20:13that might be an easier option
20:15I also can't believe
20:16I'm asking this question
20:17about hair pulling
20:18in the game as well
20:18because Manchester United fans
20:19online
20:20this evening
20:21I'm making the point
20:22that Sandro Martinez
20:23was sent off
20:24on that hair pull
20:24on Comet Carvaluin
20:26and then you got
20:27the same thing happening today
20:27or was there more
20:28in the Martinez one
20:29than this one
20:30no I think
20:31they were both
20:33accidental
20:34I don't think
20:35there was any malice
20:36or violent conduct
20:37in either
20:39it's not something
20:40I've experienced myself
20:41very often
20:42I thought today
20:44was a great show
20:45of common sense
20:45by the officials
20:46I was fortunate enough
20:47to add the bar
20:48in my ear
20:49they got to the conclusion
20:50really quickly
20:51what did they say
20:53they said he had
20:54an open palm
20:55on the back of his head
20:55and as he pulled it away
20:56thinks he's caught his hair
20:57no bad intent
20:59whatever
20:59not exactly those words
21:01but more or less
21:01and I think Martinez
21:03was the same
21:03I think he's just
21:04understanding the game
21:06I thought today
21:07they showed
21:09they got the right decision
21:10they did it quickly
21:11and showed common sense
21:12just unfortunately
21:14the United situation
21:15for some reason
21:15they didn't see that
21:16I thought it was a mistake
21:17and they both
21:18should have had
21:19the same conclusion
21:20as what happened today
21:20in terms of Chelsea
21:22they showed
21:23fight determination
21:25they won
21:26the second balls
21:27where was that fight
21:28last week
21:29and what's the difference
21:30was it down
21:31to the fact
21:31that the players
21:32simply did not want
21:33to play for Liam Rossini
21:34I hate to be blunt
21:35but I've got to ask
21:36that question
21:36I think sometimes
21:37it takes a run of form
21:38where it's really
21:39really bad
21:39and the criticism
21:41gets really high
21:42you know
21:43gets bigger
21:44by the week
21:45for players
21:46to come together
21:46maybe have a chat
21:47and go come on
21:48we've got to do something
21:48I don't think
21:50you necessarily
21:50wouldn't have got
21:51that reaction
21:52if Rossini
21:52was in charge today
21:53I don't think
21:54it's all on the manager
21:55because players
21:55have to take responsibility
21:56but these are top players
21:58you know
21:58the winning second balls
22:00and closing people down
22:01and winning tackles
22:02and stuff
22:03that's a prerequisite
22:04of being a footballer
22:05that's football
22:05shouldn't be thankful
22:06for it
22:06where's it been
22:07why
22:09maybe not enough
22:10leaders in the group
22:10maybe too many
22:11sulkers
22:12young players
22:13up and down
22:13the managers
22:15obviously struggled
22:16with getting his message
22:17across
22:18maybe they didn't
22:18like the tactics
22:19one thing
22:20as a player
22:20sometimes
22:21a group of players
22:21if you go on a pitch
22:22and you're not sure
22:23exactly what you're doing
22:24and the tactics
22:25don't feel right
22:26it can look like
22:27you're not trying
22:28you're just not sure
22:29on what you're doing
22:30I think
22:32to be blunt
22:33some of those players
22:35probably have
22:36had words with each other
22:37this week
22:38had a look in the mirror
22:38and thought
22:39we've got to do better
22:39and you saw that
22:40I thought Pedro Neto
22:41was a great example
22:42of that
22:42because his defensive
22:43work today
22:43for someone we
22:44you know
22:45normally
22:46Fitz just see his
22:47forward play
22:48and think about him
22:48as a creative force
22:49his defensive play
22:50today was really good
22:51okay Danny
22:52for the moment
22:52thank you very much
22:53so Chelsea will play
22:54Manchester City
22:54in the final
22:55let's show you
22:56the best of
22:56yesterday's first
22:57semi-final
22:58Manchester City
22:59against Southampton
23:06it's a good save that
23:12tries to do
23:13with the knee
23:14forced
23:19Tom Fellows
23:20sticking close to
23:21Jeremy Doku
23:23that's Kernit
23:25it was not far away
23:27Reinder's got a bit
23:28of bend on this
23:29you can tell from
23:30the keeper's movement
23:31that he's worried
23:35it's now attack
23:36against defence
23:37Savino
23:38Ryan Cherky
23:39turning Sienza
23:42Savino bending
23:43pushed away well
23:44by Perets
23:45Jeremy Doku
23:48oh well done
23:49by Yander
23:52and it's Larrin
23:53and he's onside
23:55fellows
23:56but
23:57well done
23:58James Trafford
23:59good save by Perets
24:01here
24:01it was a good save
24:08Shea Charles
24:09was dispossessed
24:10Nico Gonzalez
24:12got it into Cherky
24:13here's the chance
24:14good save by Perets
24:16Gonzalez
24:17Gonzalez again
24:17great block
24:19by Charles
24:19and wide
24:21of the post
24:24from Reinders
24:26again
24:26what brilliant
24:27defending
24:28and good goalkeeping
24:29from Perets
24:30there
24:30that's straight at him
24:31but he still has to
24:31keep that out
24:32I know they're appealing
24:33for handball
24:34but his arms
24:35tucked behind him
24:36so no way is that
24:37going to be
24:37overturned at all
24:38and then Reinders
24:39forces the shot wide
24:45well won by Kasper Yander
24:4812 minutes to play
24:50just imagine if they
24:51nick a goal
24:51Sienza moves it
24:53inside
24:53Matsuki
24:54and curling
24:56what a strike
24:59Finn
25:00Azaz
25:01may just have scored
25:03the goal of his life
25:04for Southampton
25:08brilliant tackle
25:09on the halfway line
25:10and now all of a sudden
25:11they go down the left
25:14and they work it
25:15so so well
25:16and you're thinking
25:17can he have a shot
25:18from there
25:18the way he turns
25:20no other thought
25:21then head down
25:23curl it into the corner
25:24he doesn't even have a look
25:25he knows exactly
25:26where he is
25:27Nakiba's got no chance
25:29it's a brilliant finish
25:37here's Dokku
25:40Dokku
25:41deflection
25:46all square at Wendling
25:48Jeremy Dokku
25:50keeps the treble dream alive
25:53and they've had no such luck
25:55up until now
25:56just when they needed it most
25:58the little deflection
26:02that's cruel on James Green
26:07Che Charles
26:08and he's found Kyle Lahren
26:11Lahren
26:12and chipped over by Trafford
26:16Matsuki's effort
26:17taking no chances
26:19James Trafford
26:20goodness me
26:21this game
26:21in the last 10 or 15 minutes
26:23has been incredible
26:28oh what a strike
26:34Nico Gonzalez
26:37unstoppable
26:38Manchester City
26:40fell behind
26:41with 12 minutes to go
26:43with 3 minutes to go
26:45there in front
26:45a magnificent strike
26:48from Nico Gonzalez
26:50well this Manchester
26:51team and the Manchester City
26:53manager
26:54are under huge pressure
26:55when that finish
26:56as goals in
26:57but what a reaction
26:58from Manchester City
27:01on the cusp
27:03on the cusp of stoppage time
27:04taken out of Trafford's gloves
27:06but is a good defensive header
27:08and Peretz
27:09as Carmine
27:10hasn't got there
27:11and Wembley beckons here
27:14in the FA Cup final
27:15for Manchester City
27:16as Dokku
27:18finds Savino
27:19and it's off the line
27:20by Matsuki
27:21goodness me
27:23this game's got over
27:24in the last 20 minutes
27:25it's chaos
27:29I think we are very close
27:30in the first half
27:31then on a transition
27:32we are very close
27:32in the second half
27:34right at the very start
27:36then went up
27:36I think at 81-82
27:38and yeah
27:39then it is what it is
27:40in the end
27:41then it is for us
27:42to bring those games
27:42over the line
27:43we didn't manage
27:44to do so today
27:44so it was
27:45a slight bit missing
27:46but I think
27:46overall good performance
27:47this club
27:48never
27:49ever
27:50in this country
27:51and since
27:53I don't know
27:55UK was born
27:56so no team
27:58have made four
27:58finals in a row
27:59so imagine now
28:01a start next season
28:02and one team
28:02will be four finals
28:03in a row
28:04so it's
28:05extraordinary
