00:00Well, we saw another super exciting weekend in the NWSL.
00:03First game I want to touch on, however, is Orlando Pride versus North Carolina Courage.
00:08Tell me, did you guys have a chance to watch that game?
00:10Unfortunately, I have, and I continue to see my Orlando Pride dropping points, dropping positions.
00:16No quiero que despidan a Marta así.
00:18She needs to get another championship.
00:20Guys, tell me what's going on with Orlando.
00:22Yes, I know another sad loss for Orlando Pride, who seem to have lost their momentum so far in this season.
00:28North Carolina got a dramatic end-of-the-game winner from Coyama in the 89th minute, taking away the three points.
00:36I think that goal really changed the playoff math.
00:39I know, Chiba, you wanted to touch on a little bit about what's going on in the standings right now.
00:43What is happening with Orlando?
00:44Marta, queremos despedirla, you know, winning a championship, or at least making it to the playoffs.
00:49Orlando, unfortunately, they've been dropping a lot of points.
00:51They have Houston and they have Louisville right behind them by two, three points.
00:55They've got to get their act together.
00:56Otherwise, we're going to see a sad goodbye for Marta.
00:59Yes, exactly.
01:00And I say that in this match specifically, they were feeling the pressure.
01:04And unfortunately, they're crumbling under the pressure.
01:06They had multiple chances, nearly scored, but just couldn't break through in the last of the minute.
01:11And even though the home crowd was electric, they were in their home stadium.
01:15And it was among the highest in franchise history viewership.
01:18That's right.
01:19And now is a perfect opportunity to make a connection between Tigres Femenil that we will be broadcasting their games live here in Latin Nation every week.
01:28That's right.
01:29Because Orlando just brought the most expensive player for NWSL, Ovalle.
01:34Talk to us about this player and if that is, you know, the key for Orlando to go back to the top of the table.
01:40Yes.
01:41So NWSL just acquired the most expensive player, Lisbeth Ovalle, a fantastic forward, proving for Tigres to be one of the most dangerous players in the league.
01:50And hopefully her arrival to Orlando Pride will be able to give them that boost that they need.
01:55And you were asking, what does this speak to about the league?
01:58I think that it says that the NWSL is consistently growing exponentially.
02:02I mean, just this year alone, we are seeing two new teams being added to this franchise.
02:07And I think that with that, more players are going to be drawn into the NWSL.
02:12Chiva, there's a lot of action.
02:14There's a lot of competition between NWSL and La Liga MX.
02:18Which of the two leagues do you find better position to succeed?
02:23Because we have NWSL growing really fast, adding teams.
02:27But on the other hand, we have Liga MX, a very well-established operation that is just mirroring what they do on the male side to the female side.
02:34And that seems to be working.
02:36What's your take?
02:36Well, we're talking about the best national team, Canal Mujeres, you know, USA.
02:40I mean, everybody wants to come to America.
02:43That's the dream of a lot of players and a lot of people in general.
02:45So I see NWSL more well-established than the Liga MX, but Liga MX is also growing.
02:51We're talking about Tigres.
02:52Tigres had a Campeona del Mundo playing with them.
02:56Jennifer Hermoso playing for Tigres in America.
03:00And you see Cruz Azul putting money in.
03:02Chivas not doing bad.
03:03I mean, Liga MX is growing potentially.
03:05And I think in five years, we're going to see our national team, the Mexican national team, doing way better in the World Cups.
03:11But it's going to take time.
03:13Right now, NWSL, I mean, to me, they can be one of the top leagues around the world.
03:16And, you know, very happy to have Angel City here in our city.
03:21But I think that definitely NWSL is better than Liga MX right now.
