00:00I saw ACFC and Portland this weekend.
00:03What a game, showing the level of the league.
00:06Breakdown for us this last match day.
00:08Yeah, absolutely.
00:09Well, we have to start off with the ACFC game.
00:11I think this was actually a pretty strong game for ACFC.
00:14Their keeper especially was a standout player for me.
00:17She made, like, I think four incredible saves that should have been goals.
00:22So props to her for keeping the 0-0.
00:24But another team that I really want to highlight,
00:26I don't know if you guys got the chance to watch,
00:27San Diego versus Washington Spirit.
00:30San Diego was able to break Washington Spirit's eight-game streak,
00:34winning 2-1 with the last-minute goal.
00:37This was an incredible game to see.
00:38Even though Washington Spirit held 60% of the possession,
00:44San Diego Wave was still able to finish.
00:46San Diego having a great season, Alex.
00:48We've seen them from the beginning of this tournament
00:51really improving from last year,
00:54even though they have impressive players leaving the team.
00:57Now, what are the things that you really, really appreciated
01:00this weekend from the league?
01:01I mean, I am really appreciating the uprise of Denver Summit
01:06because this is a team that, you know,
01:08they just got welcomed into the league
01:09and they are taking down some giants.
01:12I mean, we saw a 3-1 victory against Orlando,
01:16Marta's team, who she got subbed in in the 46th minute,
01:19which I think, you know, I don't know if that's good or bad
01:22because maybe you need to have her more
01:24or maybe you need to bring her in later.
01:27I really don't know.
01:28But I'm loving to see that Denver is in the playoffs.
01:32And, you know, the other team that I want to talk about is Boston.
01:35It was a little bit of a rough weekend,
01:37but, you know, it's still early on in the season.
01:40All these teams are very, like, minimal points away from each other.
01:44Speaking of Boston,
01:45we have to talk about Bianca St. George's second red card.
01:49Another red card for her after a dangerous play.
01:51Boston has, like, a red card every match day.
01:53Every game in the 42nd minute.
01:55This is, I feel...
01:5542nd minute.
01:56Yes.
01:56First half.
01:57First half, red card.
01:58This seems like to be a pattern with, you know, Boston,
02:02but we'll see if they can figure it out.
02:04Kami, as a player, I know that you've been in this situation.
02:07Do you feel like it's a lack of fitness
02:08or a lack of cohesive idea
02:10where it's having these players come out late to the challenges?
02:14Maybe their physical stamina is not quite there
02:17and you, like, you seem to be late to the tackle.
02:20What is happening?
02:21Well, I think red cards always come from a state of desperation, right?
02:24It's when you're desperate, you don't know what else to do.
02:26So I think either the team defensively is just not working as a unit
02:30and so these players feel like they're individuals
02:33and they have to make these crazy plays.
02:35That's the only thing for me.
02:36At that level in the NWSL, that would be an excuse or a reason.
02:40Now, let's talk about another big team in this competition
02:43and that's Kansas City that is finally back to the winning games,
02:48to the winning ways.
02:48Camila, they were down and, you know, down ugly in this season,
02:53but they were able to put 3-0 up on Houston Dash,
02:57which is a good team this season.
02:58Camila, is this the return of Kansas to the winning ways?
03:01I mean, listen, it could be.
03:03I kind of feel like they're slowly getting their momentum back,
03:05but they have a couple good matches this weekend.
03:07So I think that will be a really good test for them.
