01:50Gavin's mother is a key witness, and some observers believe the outcome of this trial could hinge on her testimony.

08:35But, everyone
08:36So, any job application
08:39that their mother had ever applied for
08:41they were able to get their hands on it
08:44Medical records
08:45they got their hands on
08:47Gavin has of course had been horribly sick
08:50and undergone surgery
08:51they had all of his medical records as well
08:55They had the gynecological records of his sister
08:58who at the time was 15 years old
09:01There was no piece of paper that they ever generated
09:05noy 800-ci elbette şimdilerin

10:05And you won't believe what they did before.
10:08The jury heard she made previous accusations of sexual assault,
10:13Claiming security guards at this JCPenney store, quote,
10:16Followed them into the mall parking lot and proceeded to beat them.
10:19And that a tower records security guard, quote,
10:22Joined the fracas, sexually assaulted her.
10:25The family had claimed that they were molested
10:29By a security guard at JCPenney.
10:32The guard just said, oh, you've got to be kidding.
10:36Well, J.C. Penney's parted with $152,000
10:39and all of this was concealed from welfare.
10:44They're just defrauding everybody they can defraud.
10:48And when Michael Jackson brought this family into his fold,
10:54this was a moment of opportunity that they took
10:59to bring down the greatest, biggest superstar in the world.
11:06This was all a scam.
11:18The defense was painting the accuser's family as grifters,
11:24as people who went after celebrities for money.
11:30What I've learned covering trials is that the best lawyers are good storytellers.
11:34And if they tell a story that the jury can picture and absorb and go,
11:39uh-huh, I get that, that is damning.
11:50They were trying to show that she was just looking for a payday.
11:55I knew it wasn't true.
11:58But this was what Michael Jackson would do,
12:00discredit the mothers of these children.
12:04Even as Michael Jackson, through the course of the trial,
12:07was becoming frail and more gaunt and thinner,
12:11it looked like the chances of him walking away a free man
12:15were increasing with every disastrous prosecution witness.
12:31Next month, Wade Robson leaves his hometown of Brisbane for Los Angeles,
12:35where he'll live with the reclusive millionaire entertainer.
12:41What's the thing you most want to do, then?
12:43Um, stay with Michael forever.
12:45Really?
12:47All right.
12:49I understood the importance of being able to locate other victims.
12:53And of course, um, Wade Robson was at the top of the list
12:56because we knew that he had been involved with Michael Jackson for years.
13:01We were absolutely convinced that he was a victim,
13:05even though he had not come forward and disclosed it.
13:09Wade Robson was a successful choreographer,
13:11and Jackson was instrumental in getting his career going.
13:16Thank you, Brittany.
13:18We reached out to him, hoping that he would testify,
13:22and he said no.
13:25There was another young boy from Australia, Brett Barnes,
13:29who traveled with him throughout Europe and South America over a year,
13:34but he wouldn't testify.
13:37Jimmy Savchuk.
13:39We believed he was a victim, but he wouldn't come forward either.
13:43So we needed the cooperation of all of them,
13:45and we had the cooperation of none of them.
13:49But, you know, I understand.
13:52I handled a number of child molest cases over the years.
13:56It's a tough thing for kids to come forward
13:59and publicly talk about having been victim of sex crime,
14:03and they disclose when they disclose.
14:06And there's nothing we can do to speed up that process.
14:10Michael!
14:10Innocent!
14:11Michael!
14:12Innocent!
14:13We also understood that it's not easy being an accuser of Michael Jackson.
14:18It's not easy dealing with his fans.
14:21There are multitudes of them, and they can be vicious.
14:23Go for innocent!
14:26I was getting death threats on a regular basis,
14:29saying, I know where you live, I know where your children are,
14:32I know your wife's name, I'm going to kill all of them.
14:35I mean, it was horrible.
14:37Michael! Innocent!
14:39Michael! Innocent!
14:40There's an absurdity and almost like a cult-like following.
14:45People who love Michael Jackson,
14:47they defended him to the teeth,
14:49you know, they referred to him more like a god.
14:56He trained his fans to be his soldiers.
15:00There's no question.
15:01His behavior, his idea that he was such a victim
15:05and he needed this protection,
15:08his fans bought it, hook, line, and sinker,
15:11and boy, oh boy, did they ever come to his defense.
15:17What do you feel now that the public is fickle?
15:21The loyal ones, that no matter what,
15:25they're there, man.
15:26They're thick and thin.
15:27They're right there with you.
15:29And you feel unconditional love from them?
15:31Yeah.
15:33They have been loyal.
15:35They'll fight you about me.
15:43It's been a white-knuckle ride,
15:45but now, 43 days after it started,
15:48the prosecution has rested its case,
15:50and it's time now for Michael Jackson
15:52to tell his side of the story.
15:56The prosecution had said
15:58that Wade Robson was molested
16:01by Michael Jackson.
16:05I had called Wade.
16:07He was in Australia.
16:10Wade, you've got to come and testify.
16:13Brian, I have told everybody it's not true.
16:16I wasn't molested.
16:17I'm not coming.
16:19No, I'm not setting foot anywhere near this.
16:22I must have called him at least six times.
16:26Finally, he says, you're a persistent man.
16:28I says, yes, I am, Wade.
16:33The first witness for the defense was Wade Robson.
16:37It's interesting because Wade Robson has said
16:40that he declined and then was subpoenaed by the defense,
16:44but when he did take the stand,
16:46he was a very strong witness.
16:49Wade Robson told jurors he first met Jackson at age five
16:53and shared a bed with him more than 20 times
16:55until he was 14.
16:58He got up in that courtroom
17:01and he said, Michael Jackson never molested me.
17:04Michael Jackson never put his hands any place
17:06that they weren't supposed to be.
17:08Michael Jackson never harmed me.
17:10Michael Jackson did not commit child molestation with me.
17:17Uncanny testimony.
17:18Fabulous.
17:21That was a problem for us
17:22because we were really hammering on the fact
17:25that he was a victim
17:26and he's up there saying, I'm not.
17:29I'm telling you, it didn't happen.
17:31The second defense witness, Brett Barnes,
17:34said the same thing, adding,
17:36I can tell you that if he had, I wouldn't be here.
17:39Did they do a good job?
17:42Oh, my.
17:43You betcha.
17:51The defense has now presented its witness list
17:54and there are some big Hollywood heavy hitters on there.
17:59When this started,
18:01a lot of people felt that this was an open and shut case.
18:05But it became a soap opera, as they say,
18:08but really a soap opera on steroids.
18:14The prosecution was claiming that Michael's employee
18:18saw Michael put his hands up Macaulay Culkin's pants
18:21and play with his privates.
18:26Okay, well, what does Mac say?
18:28What does Macaulay Culkin say?
18:31One of the most anticipated witnesses
18:33in the Michael Jackson case took the stand today.
18:37Macaulay Culkin denied it
18:38and to this day denies that he was molested by Michael Jackson.
18:42I, you know, I remember cross-examining Macaulay Culkin
18:45and he's an actor, you know,
18:48and so everything has a certain flair to it.
18:50His appearance, his fame, his celebrity,
18:54he was just an extraordinarily effective witness.
18:59We live in a celebrity-driven society
19:02and people are really attracted to celebrities.
19:06They're mesmerized by them.
19:08So that certainly happened at the trial
19:10and I'm sure the jury was impacted too.
19:17During the trial,
19:19Gavin's mind was completely scrambled
19:22and it was heartbreaking.
19:26They were just stuck in this apartment
19:28for months and months.
19:30There was a school
19:33out the window
19:34and they just look at the kids going,
19:38they just wanted to be in school.
19:41This was really tough on everybody.
19:47Gavin was by himself in that trial.
19:49He was literally by himself
19:53and it made, it was very burdensome for him.
19:55It was very challenging.
19:57But he was courageous
19:59and he never told us,
20:01I'm not going to do it,
20:02I can't do it,
20:03this is just ruining my life.
20:05But he understood the importance of it.
20:08At 15, he understood his obligation to do it.
20:15The trial had raised a lot of doubts
20:18in my mind anyway.
20:21So I wanted to talk to Gavin.
20:23I wanted to, you know,
20:26get a chance to talk to him myself.
20:28You know, obviously all was off the record
20:30and I didn't report it
20:32because, you know,
20:33I wanted to respect his privacy.
20:36He says, you know,
20:38the world has me all wrong.
20:40He says, you know,
20:41I enjoyed my time with him.
20:43You know, I just,
20:44the things he did was wrong.
20:46He heard me.
20:48And I just thought, wow,
20:50you know,
20:51this kid is telling me
20:53that this grown man,
20:54this international icon,
20:57heard him.
20:59I couldn't help but to believe him.
21:00I had,
21:02I found no reason
21:02not to believe him.
21:07Michael, are you happy?
21:08The case is almost over.
21:09His silence will be maintained.
21:11It's now certain
21:13that Michael Jackson
21:14won't be taking the witness stand
21:16in his own defense.
21:20Just as it seemed
21:21that this case
21:21was drawing quietly to an end,
21:23there is word
21:24of a possible dramatic finale.
21:28Months before the trial
21:29actually started.
21:30The police had interviewed Gavin
21:33and I wanted the jury
21:35to see it
21:37because I think
21:38if you watch that,
21:39it's very hard
21:39for somebody to watch that
21:41and say, oh yeah,
21:42they're making the whole thing up.
21:44He said that he wanted to show me
21:46how to masturbate.
21:48He wanted to show you
21:49how to masturbate?
21:50Yeah.
21:51Okay.
21:51And then I said no.
21:55And then he said,
21:56you do it for me.
21:57Okay.
22:00And did he do it for you?
22:08He...
22:10Go ahead, Gavin.
22:11It's fine.
22:12He put his hand in my pants.
22:14Did he put it on the outside?
22:16Inside.
22:17Inside?
22:17And what did he do next?
22:19He started masturbating.
22:22Okay.
22:36If there was a smoking gun
22:38in the whole case,
22:39that was Gavin's interview
22:43with the sheriff's department.
22:44I had really been convinced
22:47that Gavin was telling the truth.
22:50Others on the jury
22:52saw this as not being the case at all.
22:55A lot of people in that courtroom
22:57were very moved by that video.
22:59And so...
22:59I got to tell you, Jim.
23:00Go ahead, Dan.
23:00I got to tell you,
23:01a lot of people were moved by that video,
23:03but a lot of people thought
23:05the kid was acting.
23:07You know, I suppose there's reasonable doubt
23:10that he made it up
23:11or he was told by Janet
23:14to tell the sheriff's department
23:18that he had been molested.
23:20It just didn't come across that way to me.
23:26He absolutely looked believable.
23:34Michael's innocent!
23:36Michael's innocent!
23:37After 14 weeks of often lurid testimony,
23:41Michael Jackson's trial
23:42is now entering its most crucial phase.
23:45In Santa Maria, California tonight,
23:48it's all in the hands of the jury now.
23:50Eight women, four men
23:51on the Michael Jackson jury
23:53will decide whether or not
23:55he is guilty of child molestation.
23:58I was worried about the jury.
24:01I had complete faith
24:03in everything Gavin was saying.
24:06And there was never a question in my mind
24:09as to the honesty or accuracy
24:12of his statements.
24:13Never.
24:14But this was an international superstar,
24:17one of the most powerful men in the world.
24:19And that changes the equation.
24:22No matter what humanitarian actions
24:24or no matter what joy and entertainment
24:26he brought to the world,
24:27if Michael was harming children,
24:29he was a monster.
24:31But he was not a monster.
24:32He didn't do any of those things.
24:34There are people here
24:35from more than 28 countries
24:37reporting on the trial.
24:38Hotel rooms are booked
24:39within a 40-mile radius.
24:40Special fences and security
24:42have been brought in.
24:43And the fan contingent
24:44continues to grow as well.
24:46Innocent!
24:46The fan presence was there
24:48from beginning to end.
24:49and they were vociferous.
24:52Those are the hardcore
24:53Michael Jackson fans
24:55from around the world.
24:57Innocent!
24:58Innocent!
24:59Michael had encouraged
25:01his family
25:02and by extension
25:03his fans to wear white
25:05saying that he was innocent.
25:07but I thought
25:08at the very least
25:09it's going to be a hung jury
25:11but they'll probably
25:12get a conviction.
25:13He could face
25:14nearly 20 years in prison.
25:16If the jury comes back guilty
25:17Jackson will be off
25:18to Corcoran State Prison's
25:20protective housing unit
25:21home to,
25:22among others,
25:23convicted murderer
25:24Charles Manson.
25:26Michael was feeling frightened.
25:30You're the biggest star
25:32in the world.
25:33You have magic
25:36that nobody else has
25:37and you are scared to death.
25:40Your life is coming to an end.
25:43And I said to him,
25:44I said,
25:45Michael, we're going to win.
25:46Do you understand?
25:48We're going to win.
25:50He says,
25:51Brian, I'm so scared
25:52I don't think so.
25:54Transmission,
25:55can you hear me?
25:56Can anyone hear me?
25:58Edgar,
25:59they're on the head.
26:00Come with me.
26:01It's okay.
26:03There is breaking news
26:04that the jury
26:05in Santa Maria, California
26:06has sent word
26:08that it has reached
26:09a verdict.
26:10They announced
26:12that they had a verdict
26:13and it would be
26:14presented in the courtroom
26:15in two hours.
26:19He drove up the freeway
26:21from Neverland Ranch
26:22and the con.
26:24and the joy of cars
26:25and fans behind him
26:27was un-be-lievable.
26:30His motorcade,
26:31as you see from this
26:32helicopter shot live,
26:34left his so-called
26:35Neverland Ranch
26:37within the past 30 minutes
26:39and his winding...
26:40In the car,
26:41you had Michael
26:41in the middle
26:42and Latoya
26:43on the right.
26:44And she prayed with him,
26:46Dear Lord,
26:48take care of your child,
26:50Michael Jackson.
26:53He is your servant,
26:56Lord.
26:57He does your bidding.
26:59Protect him,
27:01defend him.
27:02And Michael is stoic.
27:05He doesn't say a word.
27:13Outside the courtroom
27:14was a zoo.
27:16I've never seen anything
27:17like that before.
27:26Gavin was not there.
27:28It felt like too much
27:29to take on.
27:32If he's found guilty,
27:33it'll be a journey
27:34not back to Neverland,
27:35but straight to prison.
27:54We're in a waiting game now.
28:00By the way,
28:00we should point out
28:01that the local police department
28:03has dispatched a number
28:04of officers trained
28:05to watch for
28:06or potential suicidal behavior
28:08on the part
28:09of some of these fans.
28:15Brian, I'm told
28:16he is opening each...
28:17He is opening each ballot
28:19one at a time.
28:20I'm told the room
28:21is very silent.
28:28But some of them...
28:30Trent Copeland,
28:30I'm sorry,
28:31we have to interrupt you
28:32because we're beginning
28:33to hear a little bit of audio
28:34coming from the courtroom.
28:37The microphone's on.
28:44Superior Court
28:45of the state of California,
28:47count one, verdict.
28:48May the jury
28:49in the above entitled case
28:50find the defendant
28:51not guilty.
28:57Count two, verdict.
28:59Not guilty.
29:00Not guilty!
29:09of a lewd act upon a minor child.
29:24The clerk read it.
29:26Not guilty, not guilty, not guilty, not guilty, not guilty, not guilty, not guilty, not guilty.
29:31Not guilty on all 10 counts.
29:37I always believed in him.
29:38I would not have came here if Michael Jackson was guilty of these crimes.
29:42I believed in him and I fought for him.
29:44Michael Jackson is now free.
29:47This case is over.
29:49This is an all-out vindication for Michael Jackson and his supporters.
29:59Michael got up, everyone congratulated everyone, didn't say a word, turned around and he walked out.
30:14There he is, the first look at Michael Jackson after his acquittal on all 10 counts.
30:30Clearly this jury did not buy that these people were telling the truth.
30:36There's no doubt about it.
30:37The defense said this family, this mother, wanted to ride the gravy train.
30:43Jurors realized that, you know, in the celebrity land of Michael Jackson, people do get accused of things that they
30:50haven't done.
30:52Your reaction to the news, Stacey?
30:56Well, Brian, I'm stunned.
30:58I really thought that there was going to be a couple of convictions there.
31:03He's dodged a bullet.
31:06I truly felt that Michael Jackson was a child molester.
31:11I felt that then and I haven't changed my mind now.
31:14But the problem was proving it.
31:19And the jury had a hard time believing the Arvizos.
31:27We got Gavin on the phone.
31:31And Gavin, poor, poor Gavin, I just remember that voice.
31:36And why didn't they believe me?
31:38Why didn't they believe me?
31:53It was over.
31:59We would talk about Michael going through the fire.
32:04Or the book of Daniel.
32:06And I said, Michael, you are being tested by fire, Michael.
32:15As it turns out, this trial hurt him.
32:21It hurt him badly.
32:31He never went back to Neverland.
32:38It was spoiled.
32:40It was ruined.
32:41It was defiled.
32:44It was no longer the place of dreams.
32:54So I think it was three days after the verdict,
32:57Michael got in his limousine to LAX,
33:02to Bahrain.
33:08Michael Jackson turned up at a Bahrain shopping mall,
33:11hiding his face behind a veil and wearing a black robe,
33:14traditionally worn by Middle Eastern women.
33:16He became what even his family described as a vagabond.
33:22Michael and his kids would go from place to place,
33:26anywhere he could find a home.
33:28and he was lost.
33:31Michael was lost.
33:32Last night, his crown was looking distinctly tarnished.
33:36Amid the adulation, the clear sound of booing.
33:42Michael hated being hated.
33:45He disliked being disliked.
33:47He took it very personally.
33:49He was very fragile in that regard.
33:50He was used to being loved.
33:53But at that time,
33:55he really was very unhappy at how hated he felt.
34:06Michael Jackson finally came back to Las Vegas.
34:11But he was a broken man.
34:16And there was tremendous financial problems.
34:20And also,
34:22it's believed that his drug problems continued to mount.
34:28And there were terrible reports I got
34:31that Michael was using medications.
34:34And the family staged an intervention.
34:39Well, no, no, no.
34:40I got this under control.
34:42I'm not addicted.
34:43I'm not, I go, whatever, Michael.
34:45I tried.
34:46I tried, too.
34:52After the trial,
34:53Gavin was a different person.
34:56He was very different.
34:57He was subdued.
35:00I would take him out driving.
35:03We would just kind of process
35:06everything that had gone on.
35:09It just was tough.
35:11Things were tough.
35:13They had all changed their names
35:15to go back to school.
35:18But some of the Michael Jackson fans
35:22had discovered their aliases
35:25and sort of outed them on MySpace.
35:30He became extremely depressed.
35:34It was very, very difficult
35:36for him to picture
35:38a life for himself.
35:52Michael believed that if he could perform again
35:56that he would gain strength
35:58from his fans
36:03because his livelihood
36:05and his life was the stage.
36:13I love you.
36:16I really do.
36:17You have to know that.
36:18I love you so much.
36:21Michael suddenly agrees
36:22to do 50 concerts.
36:24See you in July.
36:29Michael couldn't get out of bed in the morning.
36:32He was taking all this crap
36:34and all these drugs
36:35and 50,
36:36whoever got him
36:38to agree to that?
36:39The only thing that was going to do
36:41was put so much pressure on him
36:42that he would up
36:43the drug intake.
36:48We were concerned
36:50that the phones
36:50were being disconnected.
36:53Mrs. Jackson had indicated
36:54at one point
36:55she hadn't spoken to him
36:56in 12 weeks.
36:58Every time she tried calling,
37:00the line was disconnected.
37:02Well, that's the same thing
37:03that was happening to us.
37:05But I don't think anybody
37:07really thought
37:07it was anything
37:08very sinister going on.
37:15When people leave my show,
37:21I wasn't saying.
37:24I haven't seen
37:25nothing like this in my life.
37:28He's the greatest entertainer
37:32in the world.
37:35when I heard that.
37:37I was shocked.
37:39I'm like,
37:40that's pure bullshit.
37:41Somebody took a video,
37:42somebody took a recording
37:44and put it on slow motion.
37:46That didn't even sound right.
37:55Okay, how old is he?
37:56He's 50 years old, sir.
37:59He's unconscious?
38:00He's not breathing?
38:01Yes, he's not breathing, sir.
38:03Where's he at right now?
38:04He's on the bed, sir.
38:05But he's not responding
38:07to CPR or anything.
38:11I went to the emergency room.
38:15And inside the emergency room
38:17was the family.
38:18I saw them.
38:18I saw Mrs. Jackson.
38:20I saw Mr. Jackson.
38:22and I was looking through the window
38:26and they're in the background.
38:28They're pumping somebody's chest.
38:32I said,
38:33oh, my.
38:34Oh, my.
38:38Michael Jackson is dead
38:40at the age of 50.
39:02What I felt was absolute infernal rage.
39:09You stupid, stupid man.
39:12Michael, Michael.
39:13What have you done?
39:15You've orphaned your children.
39:17I think it took a few hours
39:19for the rage to wear off
39:20and then terrible grief set in.
39:28Are you afraid of death?
39:31Yes.
39:32We all want to see
39:33what that other side
39:34looks like, though,
39:35don't we?
39:37Do you think there are children
39:38playing in heaven?
39:39Oh, God.
39:40I pray that that's what it's like.
39:42Like Adam and Eve,
39:43the way they're described.
39:44Yeah, like Adam and Eve.
39:46It's just a happy garden,
39:48a perfect, peaceful place.
39:51Just a pure innocence.
39:53I pray that it's like that.
40:02Michael's favorite word
40:03was innocence
40:03because Michael was robbed
40:06of that childhood innocence.
40:07He said to me,
40:09I never had innocence.
40:10My life has been
40:12a constant effort
40:13to reclaim lost innocence,
40:16like a return to Eden,
40:17a return to paradise.
40:27There is new global backlash tonight
40:29following the bombshell documentary
40:31Leaving Neverland.
40:32The accusations made
40:33by Wade Robson,
40:34who's now 36,
40:36and James Safechuck,
40:37now 41,
40:37are quite similar.
40:39Both were befriended
40:40by Jackson
40:40when they were young boys
40:41and both were brought
40:42to his Neverland ranch
40:44where they claimed
40:45the abuse began.
40:46So what are you alleging
40:47that he actually did?
40:49He sexually abused me
40:50from seven years old
40:52until 14.
40:53I've lived in silence
40:55and denial
40:56for 22 years
40:58and I can't
40:59spend another moment
41:01in that.
41:04I was appalled.
41:07I was shocked.
41:08Wade Robson told the jury
41:11under penalty of perjury
41:12it didn't happen
41:14and then he does this film
41:15and says,
41:16oh yeah,
41:16it happened.
41:17Well,
41:18the two don't chime.
41:21It tells me
41:22that it's false.
41:26I have never seen
41:27the documentary
41:28but I think
41:29these are cases
41:31of people coming out
41:32and saying horrible things
41:34long after anything
41:35is provable
41:37when there's a lot
41:38of money at stake.
41:40The Michael Jackson
41:41I knew was a really,
41:42really sweet,
41:43kind-hearted person.
41:48I don't know
41:49why I get so protective.
41:50It doesn't make any sense.
41:52Do you think
41:53he's innocent?
41:56After everything
41:57you've seen,
41:58do you still think
41:59he's possibly innocent?
42:04The world will say
42:05what it will say
42:06and perhaps only God
42:08knows the truth.
42:10Could I believe
42:13that he was a pedophile?
42:15Absolutely,
42:17categorically,
42:17not.
42:20But how do you know?
42:21How do I know
42:22that he wasn't a pedophile?
42:24Yeah.
42:24Oh,
42:25I don't know.
42:26I can only say
42:27based on all the evidence,
42:28all the trials,
42:29and my personal knowledge
42:31of him,
42:31he was absolutely
42:32incapable
42:32of harming a child.
42:36I remember him
42:38putting
42:40my hands
42:42on his head
42:43when he was down there.
42:47I'll never forget
42:48the,
42:50the, um,
42:52the feeling of his hair.
42:55The way they painted
42:56the picture
42:57of, um,
42:58inappropriate behavior,
42:59sexual molestation.
43:00It moved me.
43:01I, I just thought,
43:02oh my gosh.
43:04If you saw
43:05that documentary,
43:06you have to have
43:07some compassion
43:09for Wade and James.
43:11I think I was just,
43:13like,
43:13kind of wincing,
43:14and I was asking
43:16him not to do it,
43:17but he did it,
43:18and he said,
43:19oh, you'll like it.
43:22It was so powerful.
43:24So powerful.
43:25I was as big
43:26a Michael Jackson fan
43:27as anyone.
43:28But that documentary
43:30showed how
43:32this man
43:33manipulated
43:35not just
43:36those boys,
43:38not just their family.
43:43Michael manipulated
43:45the entire world.
43:53I believe that the outcome
43:55could have been different
43:56if Jimmy Safechuck
43:57and Wade Robson
43:58have been able
43:59to talk about
43:59what had happened.
44:01But I don't blame them.
44:03I, I'm, I'm not angry.
44:05I may be a little frustrated,
44:07but I'm really not angry.
44:08I'm glad that they
44:09have come forward now.
44:10I think it's helpful.
44:12It's helpful for Gavin.
44:13I think it's helpful
44:14for the rest of the country
44:16to understand
44:17what actually happened.
44:21A lot of folks
44:22did not want to believe
44:24Gavin.
44:25They wanted to believe
44:26their hero,
44:27their idol.
44:29We're talking about
44:30the king of pop,
44:31and we don't want
44:33to believe
44:35that such a phenomenal talent
44:38is dangerous.
44:40We just don't want
44:41those two things
44:42in the same place.
44:44It's very difficult.
44:48I'll be the first one
44:49to tell you
44:49because I love his music.
44:53I love what he created.
44:55But Gavin,
44:57his story has never shifted,
45:00and we would know by now
45:02if the reason
45:03they had done this
45:04was money.
45:05There's been no exchange
45:06of money in regards
45:07to any of this
45:08for the Arvizo family.
45:10So, maybe we need
45:12to ask ourselves,
45:13is that body of work
45:15worth the price
45:19of James,
45:22Wade,
45:23Gavin?
45:26Is that a fair price?
45:30Gavin is doing
45:32extraordinarily well.
45:34I'm just,
45:35I'm magnificently proud of him,
45:37but he's fought for it.
45:40He's fought hard.
45:46Yeah,
45:46it's hard to talk about.
