00:04There's nothing pure and nothing more spiritual to me than children.
00:13I think it's the most golden thing we have.
00:19I can be myself and jump into their magical world.
00:39If you told me right now that, Michael, you could never see another child, I would kill myself.
00:48And I swear to you, I feel it.
00:51Because I have nothing else to live for.
00:58See the way I feel about Gavin?
01:00Well, multiply that millions of times over.
01:03And that's why I know this magic of love is so important.
01:07He is such a beautiful child.
01:10I told him, I said, you look just like an angel.
01:14Michael said, Gavin, when you get out of the hospital, you come to Neverland Ranch and I will heal you.
01:22And then the Martin Bashir documentary caused a worldwide commotion.
01:26And then he finally said, okay, if you love me, I can sleep on a bed.
01:31I was like, oh, man.
01:33And so I finally slept on a bed.
01:36You got to give the devil his due.
01:38Martin Bashir did an incredible job.
01:42Did that lead to the trial?
01:44You bet.
01:56People just can't stop talking about the interview with Michael Jackson, a British documentary which aired in the U.S.
02:02last night.
02:03The man is 44 years old.
02:06What in the hell is he doing sleeping in the bed with kids who are not his, who are not
02:10related?
02:11The Martin Bashir documentary drops.
02:14And it's like the pedophile herd around the world.
02:19For Michael Jackson, this was a nuclear bomb.
02:23Why can't you share your bed?
02:26The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone.
02:30You know?
02:31You really think that?
02:31Yeah.
02:32The media painted Michael to be a child molester.
02:35And they replayed that Bashir clip probably one billion times.
02:39Why are you holding the hand of a 13 year old kid?
02:43You know that if there were any of us and we were engaging in that kind of behavior, the cops
02:47would be all over us.
02:48They're not going to investigate.
02:49You would be cringing.
02:50You would be cringing if your client got on national TV and said worse the effect that he'd hosted sleepover
02:55parties for small boys.
02:57The media certainly felt that Michael was fair game to go after anything and everything.
03:01He hated it.
03:04The press, they waited with knives.
03:07Because I was the pioneer.
03:09And that's why they start the story.
03:12He's weird.
03:13He's gay.
03:14Anything that turned people against me, they tried their hardest.
03:19It's a frenzy.
03:20My phone doesn't stop ringing with press people.
03:23They want to talk.
03:24You know, everybody wants to get a story going.
03:26I even get a phone call from a tabloid offering me an incredible amount of money just to talk dirt.
03:32It's a PR meltdown.
03:34There is tremendous pressure to get it all under control.
03:44Michael, great entertainer, big celebrity status.
03:50But he has a habit of tripping.
03:54So when this Bashir interview was released in the United States, I get a call from my friend Frank, who's
04:01Michael Jackson's PR manager.
04:03He's like, come out to LA and come out working this damage control, which is occurring right now.
04:14Frank was very close to Michael.
04:16I asked him, you know, before I leave and I take this job, has Michael ever harmed a child?
04:22And he says, Vin, you know me.
04:24I am the closest person to him.
04:27And he said, never would happen.
04:31So I trusted Frank and I made a decision to take the job.
04:38The best thing that we could do to defend Michael Jackson was to film our own documentary to get a
04:45really good rebuttal to who Michael was and that he's a good person.
04:49Michael Jackson take two is going to air on Fox February 20th.
04:54So then what do you think about Michael's version of this show that's going to come out?
04:58Positive spin.
04:59I mean, it'll help him.
05:00It'll help him.
05:01But he said what he said.
05:03For about a week to a week and a half, I was trying to line up all the press around
05:07the documentary.
05:09The participation of the boy in the documentary, Gavin Arviso, is a key element in how it's all going to
05:16work.
05:18So the idea is we're going to capture an interview with the Arviso family to show that there hadn't been
05:23improper contact or conduct between Michael Jackson and Gavin.
05:28It was essentially to get this interview done before the tabloids get a hold of this family.
05:44My first task dealing with the Arviso family was to go pick up the mother, Janet Arviso, and bring her
05:52to Michael's videographer.
05:54She was very upset.
05:56She was complaining about the family and all their dreams are shattered now because of this.
06:06We started pretty late in the evening.
06:09I talked the family through what we're going to be talking about, basically just giving them a rundown that this
06:14is a total fluff interview, but we want you to be honest.
06:30The family is supposedly totally on board, but the mom won't start the interview because I need signed model releases
06:41before we can do the interview.
06:45But she didn't want to sign the model releases.
06:48Why don't you sign a model release?
06:51Money.
06:52All right.
06:53So is she worried that she's not going to get a piece of this if we sell this footage?
06:59And then suddenly she's on the phone with lawyers.
07:01At some point, someone tells Janet that it's okay for us to sign the model releases and to film the
07:10interview.
07:11Wait, wait.
07:13You know how these Bashir, hey, you know how Bashir zoomed in on him holding hands?
07:19Do that, the same thing.
07:20Because you know.
07:22Because that's what a mother does with a son or a father does with a son, you know?
07:28And they try to make it out to be something wrong and dirty.
07:32So you can have that.
07:34When I first met Michael, all I thought was he was a loving, kind, humble man, and all he wanted
07:41to do was good.
07:42As I'm doing an interview, I really do feel like Gavin is very sincere.
07:47He treats me like he's my father.
07:52He gives Gavin advice.
07:56Michael is exactly an unanswered prayer to my children and me.
08:02Michael is there for us, there for all three of them.
08:06Janet's just over the top.
08:08I dislike her immediately.
08:11Every door closed on us.
08:13And Michael said, all my doors are open.
08:16My home is your home and your children.
08:22I am like their father.
08:25And his interactions with my children were all innocent as a father interacts with his children.
08:32Where she really loses my credibility is just how she suddenly adopted this idea that Michael is their real father.
08:41Either this mom is completely in love with Michael Jackson or she's driven by the world of Michael Jackson possibilities.
08:51It disturbed me greatly when I saw them and the innuendos he was making.
08:58They took a beautiful relationship that he has with Gavin and spun it out of control.
09:06We completed the interview.
09:08But then the director of photography would not give me the footage.
09:13This interview was obviously very important and he wanted Michael to pay him.
09:19So unfortunately, it never went into the Fox special.
09:24It wasn't a good situation with tabloids hovering around everybody at the time.
09:29I had a strong feeling that I didn't trust Janet.
09:32So I am absolutely worried that this is the type of person who might take money to say,
09:38Michael Jackson wasn't my kid.
09:40Because there's a lot of money in that.
09:56I have very few friends and the friends that are family to me are because they have exhibited
10:04honesty, trustworthiness, love.
10:08This video, I've never seen it.
10:10I don't know how you guys got all this.
10:13And that is why we are very thankful and appreciate that Michael calls us family because he exhibits all that.
10:21And he gives these boys much direction because 12 and 13, they made a whole bunch of it.
10:30So what you're seeing in Janet here, she just truly wants this all to be true.
10:36Because this is just a godsend that there would be a male influence in her children's life who was kind
10:42and caring.
10:43She says things very dramatically, but Janet really feels what she's saying.
10:47I know her.
10:48That's what she feels.
10:50You know, she had been going through a lot of stuff.
10:53She was getting a divorce.
10:54Gavin's father had been abusive to her and the kids.
10:59So at this point, the idea that somebody this important would value her children and parent them, that was meaningful
11:07to her.
11:08Like extraordinarily meaningful to her at the time.
11:11She craved it.
11:17After the Martin Bashir documentary aired, I became concerned.
11:22I start calling.
11:23Their numbers are disconnected.
11:25I didn't know where she was.
11:27Clearly, they were at the center of a hurricane.
11:32Anybody that had any kind of show would have wanted to talk to this family.
11:39Michael Jackson's team would have wanted to keep them contained.
11:49Okay, everybody.
11:50That two-hour documentary on living with Michael Jackson is still making news.
11:54Michael Jackson's image has taken a brutal beating over the past few months, as you know.
11:58We love Michael!
12:00We love Michael!
12:06Among the madness of Bashir, I get a phone call.
12:10Hey, we're gonna go to Gary, Indiana and visit Michael's child at home.
12:13Any kind of distraction.
12:14Give them some new Michael Jackson stuff that was positive.
12:19I would like to officially, on behalf of the men and the women and the young people of the city
12:24of Gary,
12:25welcome back home, Mr. Michael Jackson.
12:28I am the biggest fan.
12:30Well, probably not the biggest, because there's a lot of them here.
12:32But I just love Michael Jackson.
12:34Just his persona.
12:36He loves children.
12:37I just, in a good way, he loves children.
12:40He, uh, let's see, he a role model.
12:43And I love him.
12:44I originally thought we were going because he wanted to visit his hometown.
12:49But, as it turns out, it was to capture footage of Michael's humble beginnings.
12:56Because that was what the narrative was going to be.
12:58It was, like, gonna be the sickly sweet, you know, you know, here comes the king.
13:04You know, like, wah, wah.
13:06The management of Michael's image.
13:08That's the number one thing.
13:11When you saw Michael's childhood home, it was pretty rough.
13:16You know, we're talking a two, a small two-room home where 10 or 11 people lived.
13:22Michael grew up in abject poverty, certainly in an age of discrimination.
13:27Opportunities for black men and black families especially was, were very limited.
13:32But the one thing that really affected him was his relationship with his father.
13:37My father, he did some rough, cruel.
13:41The way he would beat you, he would make you strip nude first.
13:46So when, when the foot of the, um, of the iron cord hit you, it would just, you know,
13:52fall in your face, your back, everywhere.
13:56He would tell us, don't call me dad, I'm Joseph.
14:01I never felt love from him.
14:04All I want is his, uh, is his love, his approval.
14:09I think the broken relation between father and son was monumental.
14:15There were really like two Michael Jacksons.
14:18One needed love and validation.
14:19The other needed attention and celebrity.
14:23I proudly present to you Mr. Michael Jackson.
14:28Everything is already geared up like a machine.
14:31All this love.
14:33It's all orchestrated to get support from the fans, you know,
14:37because they would defend him no matter what.
14:40The Gary Community School Corporation welcomes home the king of pop, Michael Jackson.
14:50The intrigue surrounding Michael Jackson, it continues tonight.
14:53Would you let your son or daughter stay over at Neverland?
14:56No, and I can't understand why these other boys' parents allowed them to either.
15:00I believe that child welfare services should interview every child that has been at Neverland
15:05with Mr. Jackson in his bedroom.
15:07The tabloids are still foaming at the mouth.
15:11And there was a sense that you want to keep Janet Arvizo, who seems like a bit of a live
15:16wire,
15:17as far away from tabloids and people with checks as possible.
15:25The Avizo family is surrounded by handlers.
15:30They're getting carted around by people inside the Jackson team.
15:35And there is a controlled element of making sure they don't talk to people that they shouldn't be talking to.
15:47I would bring Janet and the kids back and forth between the Neverland Ranch and L.A.
15:54I was told to spend my time with assisting Janet Arvizo, whatever needed to get done.
16:04I drove her all over the place.
16:10The Avizos are okay with it at first, but slowly they start to, you know, become resentful of being controlled.
16:18No, no, no, you don't have to go get your groceries. We'll do it with you.
16:25And then I was told that Vinny was going to help them move.
16:31And I go, why? Do they want to move?
16:35Well, we need a better location.
16:37We? Who's we?
16:38You know, so this is curious language.
16:43The Arvizo family were getting a lot of pressure from the press.
16:48And there was a need for a place where they can stay, where they can feel safe.
16:55There was also a lot of talk about taking the family on a vacation.
16:59Vinny was running around getting passport photos.
17:01And I thought that was probably a really smart idea as well.
17:04And to make sure that this family is off in Mars,
17:09as far away from the press and the tabloids as possible.
17:20I'm being asked, wouldn't you like to let go to Brazil?
17:24I'm like, no.
17:25Why is the family being coaxed to go to Brazil?
17:28There is this plan that's going on, but who's the guy behind the curtain in The Wizard of Oz?
17:36Nothing's going to get done without Michael's approval.
17:40He knows what's going on.
17:54One day, I get a frantic phone call from Janet, who is being kept somewhere and whispering.
18:02She was panicky.
18:03She wants me to come to where she is and get her and the kids and bring them back to
18:08my house.
18:10She sounded desperate.
18:12And I felt her panic for her own children.
18:19She felt they were keeping her family at Neverland and that they were going to send them to Brazil and
18:26make the family disappear.
18:29And it's not like you can call the police and say, you know, I think there's a family being held
18:36against their will by Michael Jackson.
18:39I don't know if that's a 911 call that's going to be put through.
18:44I had extended to her, you know, call me in 24 hours and then I would have better resources in
18:53place.
18:55And she never called.
19:08When I became involved with Janet and her family, they were allowed to go anywhere they wanted and I would
19:14take them wherever they wanted.
19:18One day, she said, please, uh, bring my children down to their, uh, grandparents' house. My grand, her, my mother
19:25is sick.
19:26I didn't think anything of it.
19:30After that day, we hadn't heard from them.
19:34They were done with us and we were finished working with them.
19:38And that was it.
19:39They couldn't leave anywhere, any time, any, any, any day.
19:51When I finally heard from Janet, she told me about the danger that she felt had been visited upon her
20:01family.
20:02They had been kept at Neverland for three weeks or so.
20:06And when Janet got her kids home, they were not behaving normally.
20:14Janet spoke to a lawyer.
20:16He heard enough and saw these boys and thought, I don't like the way this is sounding at all.
20:24I told Michael, don't work with kids, work with their parents.
20:27It's their parents who are supposed to be leading them.
20:29You're not the child's Messiah.
20:32I always feel that I don't want the parents to get jealous because it happens sometimes.
20:37And I always say, I'm not trying to take your place.
20:40I'm just trying to help and I want to be a friend.
20:43And the kids end up just falling in love with my personality.
20:46Sometimes it gets me into trouble.
20:57In 2003, I was a senior prosecutor in the district attorney's office.
21:03I was the supervisor of the vulnerable victims unit.
21:07One morning, I got called in by the district attorney.
21:11He handed me a two-page report and I'm looking at it and it seems to be kind of the
21:16ordinary preamble that you see in these investigations.
21:20And I don't understand why I'm sitting there looking at this thing.
21:23It's like dozens of other cases I've looked at.
21:26And then I look at the top that has the name.
21:28I never went to the name.
21:30And the name was Michael Joe Jackson.
21:33The sheriff's office in Santa Barbara County had started an investigation into allegations made by Gavin.
21:47You can sit right there, buddy.
21:51Gavin, can you tell us what your conversations, what you guys talked about?
21:57He says that, I know you're stressed out about all the stuff that's going on, so I'll have something that
22:03can relax you.
22:04He said, drink it.
22:05And I said, what's that?
22:07And he said, it's drinking.
22:11And so I drank it.
22:12I didn't like taste.
22:13And he asked me, what is it?
22:15And he said, it's wine.
22:16I'll help you.
22:17Just keep drinking it.
22:18And my head started hurting and stuff.
22:23I felt.
22:25Gavin talking about alcohol use was a grooming situation.
22:29In that interview, he exhibited to me the typical, if you will, demeanor of somebody that's been abused.
22:41You know, the shying away from the questions, not wanting to talk about anything, keeping himself closed up during the
22:49interview.
22:51He said that boys have to, like, boys have to masturbate, because if we don't, like, we can go crazy.
23:01He said that he wanted to show me how to masturbate.
23:05He wanted to show you how to masturbate?
23:07Yeah.
23:08Okay.
23:08Okay.
23:09I said, no.
23:12Then he said, you do it for me.
23:15Okay.
23:17And did he do it for you?
23:27Go ahead, Gavin. It's fine.
23:31He put his hand in my pants.
23:33Did he put it on the outside?
23:35Inside.
23:35Inside?
23:36And what did he do next?
23:38He started, he started masturbating to me.
23:41Okay.
23:46I told him I didn't want to do that.
23:48Did he stop?
23:49I told him I, he kept on doing it.
23:56Having to publicly talk about sexual abuse is not an easy thing.
24:02But he was courageous.
24:04I had complete faith in everything Gavin was saying.
24:09And I, I, there was never a question in my mind as to the honesty or accuracy of his statements.
24:16Never.
24:17But I knew we were going after an international superstar.
24:21And that changes the equation.
24:23That was the part that was the unknown for all of us.
24:34Romance.
24:35Is love and romance two different things?
24:39I'm in love with innocence.
24:42That's what I'm in love with.
24:44And that's why I love children to them.
24:46I can relate to them easier.
24:49Much easier.
24:50You just play.
24:52Just, just love and innocence.
24:55And to find true happiness and magic together, you know?
25:10There are surprising developments at the home of Michael Jackson.
25:14Authorities are serving a secret search warrant at his ranch near Santa Barbara, California.
25:19Although there is no official word as to the nature of the warrant,
25:22a number of news outlets are reporting that the search is tied to allegations from a 12-year-old boy
25:27that he was molested by Jackson.
25:30I was watching CNN and I saw all of these police entering the gates of Neverland.
25:37Investigators have swarmed Jackson's Neverland ranch.
25:40Target Neverland is underway.
25:42I picked up the phone and I called Michael.
25:45He was in Las Vegas.
25:47And I said, Mr. Jackson, are you okay?
25:50And he says, yeah, why?
25:53I said, they're raiding Neverland.
25:54He says, what?
25:55I said, turn on CNN.
25:57You'll see it.
25:58They're, it's alive.
26:00They're raiding Neverland.
26:04Michael was really shocked.
26:06And I had never seen anything like it.
26:08I mean, the gate of Neverland is a good mile from the house.
26:13And here's this string of cars.
26:16And to me, it's just abuse.
26:19It's harassment.
26:20The media has set up camp out here.
26:23We're told as many as 60 investigators are inside at this point searching the ranch.
26:28It was a very large operation.
26:31I was a newly promoted detective.
26:36I was a big Michael Jackson fan as a teenager.
26:41When Michael Jackson would come out to perform, you can imagine teenage girls screaming at the top of their lungs.
26:47That's what we were doing.
26:50When I was told about the allegations against Michael Jackson, I was kind of surprised.
26:56I was assigned to search the main residence.
27:09To me, Michael Jackson was just another celebrity.
27:13When you're dealing with celebrities, you have accusations that are made.
27:17And you have to take those accusations with a grain of salt.
27:20You have to do your investigation.
27:27Whose office is this?
27:29That's his son's.
27:31This is Michael's?
27:33Does he have anything else?
27:35Michael Jackson's mansion was like no other house I've ever seen.
27:41There was just so much stuff everywhere.
27:46It's the same area right here.
27:48This is the way we have to go.
27:50This is the code to get in.
27:51And that is.
27:56My assignment was going to be going into Michael Jackson's bedroom.
28:00Somebody said now he's moved upstairs rather than down here.
28:04Yeah.
28:04So we're also going to have to check it out.
28:05Let's just secure everything right now.
28:07Gavin had disclosed that there would be a briefcase with pornographic magazines that were used by Michael to provoke an
28:18arousal.
28:19Those items as we refer to as grooming materials.
28:28My job was to do the library.
28:32First thing that caught my attention, it was all cluttered.
28:35Boxes of books on the floor.
28:38The books I remember seizing were books of children posing in their underwear.
28:44In and of themselves, they're not child pornography.
28:47They weren't posing together in sexual acts or anything like that.
28:52But based on the investigations I'd done in the past, to me, those were grooming books.
28:57You know, we'd found books like that in other situations.
29:04We also found a pair of underwear briefs stuffed in a box.
29:11They were either very small adults or children's briefs.
29:18We asked the housekeeper, where's the bedroom?
29:21That's when we were told no one was permitted into his bedroom.
29:26And nobody had a key for his bedroom.
29:35We were able to make entry.
29:40And when we walked in, it was a mess.
29:46Papers, clothes, covering the whole floor.
29:50I found some pepperoni sausages that were just thrown in there.
29:56I remember thinking, oh my gosh, this is filthy.
30:00Drawers weren't closed right.
30:03You know, I'm sure everyone has a junk drawer.
30:05There were a lot of junk drawers, if you would.
30:09Just stuff thrown all over.
30:12That's clear here, Jeff.
30:14Okay, hold on a second.
30:16In the area where the grand piano was, that's where I located a briefcase, opened it up, and there were
30:25some magazines with pornographic materials in them.
30:29So that was a significant item, because it supported what Gavin said.
30:37You know, in that moment, your whole point of the investigation is to seek the truth.
30:44When you talk about an innocent child who's been taken advantage of, that's going to stir anger in anyone.
30:50And I think that Gavin was very courageous to be able to come forward and say what happened.
31:07First piece of items, a piece of luggage, black leather type of material.
31:13There were several items that were taken away as evidence.
31:22The caliber of this investigation really hit me of, oh my.
31:30This is Michael Jackson.
31:33There's definitely the feeling even now of the intensity of the investigation.
31:39So it's just all surfacing that emotion again.
31:53I wasn't expecting anyone, to be honest with you.
32:07Throughout the night, the search continued.
32:10Patrol cars gliding past banks of reporters, camera lights illuminating the perimeter of the 3,000 acre estate.
32:17When we heard about the raid on Neverland, I'm in my childhood bedroom watching my black and white TV.
32:26Let's just bring people up to date real quick.
32:28The allegations were reportedly made by a 12-year-old cancer victim who said that Jackson gave him booze and
32:34pills at Neverland Ranch.
32:35Uh, I just, I couldn't believe it was Gavin.
32:42I just was devastated.
32:45Tonight, Jackson is wanted by police.
32:48California authorities announced an arrest warrant today accusing Jackson, age 45, of multiple felony counts of child molestation.
32:57DBS News has learned that Michael Jackson will turn himself into authorities in Santa Barbara today.
33:06We briefly interrupt your programming.
33:08Pop star Michael Jackson has surrendered to authorities in Santa Barbara, California.
33:13After landing just a few moments ago at the Santa Barbara airport, he is now en route to the Santa
33:18Barbara jail, where he is about to be booked and processed.
33:25The media circus, it is in full swing. Reporters, cameras, and helicopters have been chasing the Jackson story around Southern
33:33California.
33:34Michael Jackson under arrest.
33:36It is the shot seen around the world, fingerprinted and photographed Michael Jackson like you've never seen him before.
33:43His lawyer says Jackson is innocent and outraged.
33:48I was shocked. Michael called me from the jail. He says, but can you believe this? I've done nothing wrong.
33:56And they have me all over the news.
33:59Well, I said, you know, you just be you and you do what you need to do.
34:05Don't be afraid to defend yourself.
34:07He's come back specifically to confront these charges head on.
34:12But I'm here to tell you today, and Michael has given me the authority to say on his behalf, these
34:17charges are categorically untrue.
34:20Thank you very much.
34:21Where are you going from here?
34:24When I asked him point blank, what is this about? Who are these people? Did you do this?
34:29And I saw just how strong and how the conviction of his speaking to me.
34:44I knew he was innocent. I knew it.
34:47After he was processed, he snuck out the back door.
34:50Through it all, the fading King of Pop still manages to wave and flash the victory sign.
35:01He went right from the jail to the airport. The same plane he flew in on, he flew out on.
35:06And now Fox has confirmed he is now back in Las Vegas.
35:14At this point in time, the Arvizo family were in an apartment in West LA.
35:19They're very isolated over there. The children are not going to school.
35:24And so I begin visiting.
35:27Gavin was a different person.
35:30He was very different. He was subdued.
35:35And his way of letting me know that what he was saying was true in his 14-year-old way
35:51was to say,
35:53he got me drunk. I was drunk.
36:00It seemed like how a 14-year-old would tell you this happened because I wasn't in my right mind.
36:10And I don't want you to think any less of me.
36:15It was just devastating.
36:22I did not believe in any way that Michael was even capable of doing something like this.
36:28I loved his family.
36:31And by extension, loved him.
36:34There had been allegations against him in his past with a boy, Jordan Chandler, but they went away.
36:40This isn't the first time Jackson has been accused of child molestation.
36:4410 years ago, Jackson had been accused of molesting another child, but the case was settled out of court.
36:50This time, because the Bashir documentary was fresh in everybody's mind.
36:55And what stood out was that boy.
37:00Michael was being so affectionate with him.
37:03You had to know that they were going to go all the way with this one, that he's going to
37:07have to face the music in court.
37:10All of this is going on, and I'm still like, okay, we got to give Michael the benefit of the
37:17doubt.
37:18We just want to let Michael Jackson know that he's got friends here in Santa Barbara.
37:22I'll never believe it.
37:25It's just impossible.
37:27MJ would never hurt a child. MJ is the kindest person in the world.
37:44Michael Jackson, after his booking, made an allegation to the press that he had been physically harmed by somebody in
37:53the sheriff's department.
37:54They manhandled me very roughly. My shoulder is dislocated, literally.
38:00It was a pure fabrication, completely made up.
38:03It's hurting me very badly. I'm in pain all the time.
38:07This is, see this arm? This is as far as I can reach it.
38:10Same with this side over here.
38:12Because of what happened at the police station?
38:14Yeah, at the police station.
38:16There was an investigation that was done, and there was no evidence that there had been any kind of harm
38:22that was done.
38:23If you saw what they did to my arms, it was very bad what they did.
38:34I just remember thinking how absurd it was, and I thought, who in the world would believe it?
38:40But apparently there are. I mean, if you are a believer of Michael Jackson, you'll believe what he says.
38:45It doesn't matter how preposterous it is.
38:48Before I would hurt a child, I would slit my wrists. I would never hurt a child.
38:52This is totally false. I was outraged. I could never do something like that.
38:59Michael's biggest attribute, he could make you feel, like, so sorry for him.
39:06What time is it? Because I'm hurting. I don't feel good.
39:13He had this aura about him, this, where, I know when I've been in his presence, I felt like, oh
39:22boy, you know, people should leave Michael alone.
39:28This is nothing but a modern day lynching. This is what they want to see. Him in handcuffs, you got
39:33it. But it won't be for long, I promise you.
39:38You got a bunch of racist, I'm sorry, racist rednecks out there who don't care about people. We are a
39:44family. My mother is very angry. We're all angry.
39:48And we're going to put our soldiers and our generals together and prepare for war. That's what this is.
39:52When Jermaine came out and called the modern day lynching, in the moment, I thought, that's a stretch.
40:00It was just to get attention. It was just to try and galvanize particularly Black America.
40:07Because when you mention lynching, it's going to hit here. And that's exactly what he wanted you to feel.
40:18I don't understand racism. My mother, she was pulling out of the market and this guy screamed out to her,
40:26go back to Africa, you nigger. Just like that. It hurt me so much.
40:31I have seen the evilness in man, how vindictive man can be, how cruel, how abusive, how judgmental, how they
40:41have hurt me and done all these things.
40:44And what's made me hold on? What has saved my life? His children.
40:57The latest bombshell in the Michael Jackson case centers around Jackson's closest business associates and whether or not they were
41:04behind a plot to abduct and silence the accuser and his family.
41:09ABC News has learned that prosecutors are focused on two men, Vinny Amin and Frank Tyson, both longtime Jackson associates.
41:18According to sources familiar with the case, Amin and Tyson are being accused of using pressure tactics to try and
41:25silence the alleged victim's family.
41:28Kidnapping and hostage is horrible, devastating. And it was wrong. They went too far with that word.
41:40When it came out, the media said, well, they can just file an arrest warrant right on the fly in
41:46California.
41:46I mean, I was scared. I was 22 years old.
41:57We included a conspiracy to commit kidnapping because in a conspiracy, you can put in a lot of information that
42:04paints a very compelling story.
42:06The conspiracy to commit kidnapping was the efforts that Jackson and his crew were making to remove the family from
42:14the state of California and from the United States to take them down to Brazil, where they could not be
42:20discovered by police, by law enforcement or by the press.
42:29When someone asked me how I feel, it couldn't get worse. It just kept getting worse, worse, worse, worse, worse,
42:35worse.
42:35Steve Robel from the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department. He wanted to ask us questions. He left voicemails for us.
42:44Hey, this is for Frank. Hey, Frank, Sergeant Robel for Sheriff's Office. I'm sure you're aware since you're with Vinny
42:51over there.
42:52The bottom line is that, you know, I know how much you're involved in this. Same with Vinny, and I'm
42:58giving you an opportunity to come clean and meet with me.
43:00The ship's sinking fast, and it's not just Michael. There's other people we're looking at. I think you know what
43:06your involvement is in this thing, so.
43:10They were a little threatening. They basically were like, you know, jump on board or we may file additional charges.
43:17We were worried that maybe we would get searched. Frank and I decided that we were going to bring to
43:23an attorney any business items we had that were associated with Michael Jackson.
43:29So Frank handed me a bag. Ends up, I take it back to my house because there was something suspicious
43:35that I didn't like.
43:36And when I opened up the bag, I found this magazine.
43:46It was a naturalist magazine with a video ordering section that had naked kids in it, and there was circles
43:52around the videos to be ordered.
43:57That was just a devastating blow for me.
44:01That was a psychological hit that I never, you know, now I see how this case is going, and all
44:07of a sudden I see that.
44:09And I came to a conclusion that everything has been lied to me.
44:15Now this is the realm of sexual abuse of children.
44:20You know, now it became very real to me.
44:25And it became very real, real that Frank knew about what's going on and he's not coming forward.
44:41I know Frank was manipulated, but being associated with Michael Jackson, who was victimizing children, it's like a wound that
44:51opens up.
44:52And then when you open that wound, it affects you psychologically.
44:56So I guess I've done a lot of work on it to heal that wound, but I think it would
45:02always affect me.
45:09You know, I've had years of healing, but you know, it still hurts.
45:17If Michael was actually committing sex abuse against children, he used to be brought to justice.
45:32This is just the start of what's likely to be a very public and dirty war.
45:36We're certainly poised for the drought of the century.
45:38He is fighting these molestation charges.
45:41Michael's innocent!
45:42I think Michael Jackson is fighting for his life right now.
45:46Five counts of child molestation, four counts of supplying a minor with alcohol, one count of conspiracy for false imprisonment.
45:54If he's guilty on all those charges, then he will face a maximum of 18 years and eight months in
46:00prison.
