00:00The Mets won a game, yep, after 12 straight defeats, they did get the win, that is huge,
00:06obviously, first win in about two weeks for the Mets, it had been the longest losing streak since
00:122002, big win for Carlos Mendoza and the Mets, Luke Weaver got the save, an inning and a third
00:20of shutout baseball, terrific job by him, I think that was the right move to go to Luke Weaver,
00:26obviously, Devin Williams had struggled the last two games, cost the Mets a couple of games there,
00:3212 in a row, that's not easy, this game was not easy, Weaver got the strike out of Byron Buxton
00:38to end the game, Buxton had homered earlier in the game, he'd homered the day before,
00:43he'd been a thorn in the Mets side, everybody's been a thorn in the Mets side lately,
00:47a huge win, obviously, for the Mets, unfortunately, Francisco Lindor left the game with a calf injury,
00:54this was the first game back for Juan Soto, who had been out for that whole losing streak,
00:59a little bit more than that, actually, with a calf injury, sometimes calf injuries can take
01:04two weeks or longer, hopefully, this will not be the case for Francisco Lindor, who is known as a
01:10quick healer, so big blow there, but the big win is the big story of the day for the Mets.
