00:02This weekend, we are all visiting my girlfriend Allie in Ohio.

00:12So bridesmaid's dresses have been ordered,

00:15but we got to get you scheduled for picking out your style of suit.

00:19Is camouflage and good color to use?

00:22No.

00:23So I want to make Liz happy,

00:26but I want to find a way to bring some camouflage in this wedding.

00:31Proposal came in for Elizabeth's wedding.

00:34I got to sit down for this one.

00:36It's a lot more than what we will be able to do.

00:40We need to sit down with Elizabeth and Bryce

00:43and, you know, see what we can cut,

00:47and hopefully, you know, Elizabeth doesn't freak out.

01:07We recently got the wedding budget,

01:09and it is a lot.

01:11It is a lot of money,

01:13and we need to cut this by at least 30%.

01:17So it's important for us to sit down with Elizabeth,

01:20talk about it, pump the brakes,

01:23and see what we can do to make some adjustments,

01:27some changes,

01:28and cut back a lot of money.

01:32So we have to discuss...

01:36It's a wedding proposal slash money.

01:44The wedding proposal came in.

01:46We've looked at it, and we've looked at it all over.

01:48It looks like it's a lot.

01:49It is.

01:50When you get to that final number at the back, it is.

01:54The final number at the back is not doable.

02:02How much is it?

02:03Let Bryce look at it, too.

02:04That's more than a down payment.

02:06I don't know if he wants to look at it.

02:07My eyes are probably dropped down.

02:14I was in no-go when I saw that price.

02:17I was like, no, we got to drop that down, like, right now.

02:21That doesn't include the wedding dress, the tuxes.

02:27Not even food.

02:28That's definitely going to have to be adjusted.

02:32Wow, weddings are really this expensive.

02:34I was just amazed because it's, like, just a backyard wedding.

02:37We just wanted to add some flowers and, of course, the chair rentals.

02:40And, yeah, I was pretty shocked.

02:44Clearly, Mom and Dad and you two are going to be

02:48footing the bill for the majority of this.

02:49Yeah.

02:50But no matter if we had five different families

02:54contributing to this,

02:55it still doesn't make sense at that number.

02:57This wedding quote, it came in right at $55,000.

03:01And I look at it as, like, that's a lot of money for four or five hours.

03:05So we need to trim back at least, like, $20,000, $25,000.

03:08Here's what I find to be the two most important things.

03:12Uh-huh.

03:13The ceremony and the dinner.

03:16Wherever you guys can make adjustments

03:18for, like, the seating around the fire pit.

03:21Yeah.

03:22I'm not saying take things, don't take it away, cut back.

03:26Seating around fire pits, cocktail hour, things like that.

03:30That's, that's, start making adjustments there.

03:33So the most expensive thing, obviously, is going to be, like,

03:36the tent, the chair, and the table rentals.

03:38But there were some of these floral arrangements

03:40that were just over $2,000, $3,000 in that ballpark.

03:45And Bryce and I, we really don't need that many flowers.

03:48So really, it's like we ultimately just have to tone down

03:51all the decorative items.

03:53Only the four of us know about that list.

03:55So all your guests, none of them will know

03:58what's been cut from the wedding.

03:59Exactly.

03:59They only know what they see.

04:01It's not like I'm having to get everybody's approval.

04:03It's whoever's fitting the budget.

04:04Well, but you do always want to have good food.

04:08Your dress looks good on you.

04:12Which we've nailed that, so.

04:13Wedding planning, you know, was stressful.

04:17But now it's really stressful since we are having to reconsider the budget

04:22and definitely cut back on some of the things that we want for our wedding.

04:27All right, so we know what we have to do.

04:30Whether it's you and Bryce or you and Mom.

04:32Trim it up.

04:33If you need to borrow a weed eater, how long are you a weed eater?

04:36You got to trim that thing up.

04:38And we still have to go tuck shopping.

04:40I also have to design a groom's cake for Bryce.

04:44But you know, in the back of my vine, I'm just worrying about the budget.

05:09A little bit, yeah.

05:12Yeah, our studio in the summer can get upwards of 130 degrees in here.

05:16The wedding planning is definitely creating some stress to our lives, so it's good to take some time for some

05:25creative, fun, you know, activities with the family that we can all enjoy.

05:30We're going to make a couple of drinking glasses like these ones, the stemless wine glass shape, and then the

05:35whiskey glass shape.

05:36So there's all different ways to work with glass, too, to make smaller objects like pendants, jewelry, things like that.

05:43Emma has an online jewelry business where she makes primarily earrings.

05:48I've been doing it for, I think, five years now.

05:51And I might be interested in putting glassblowing in my business.

05:56I can maybe see if I can make an earring out of it or something.

06:02Do you want to stand right here for me in front of that cool, breezing fan?

06:09Right now in our home, there is a lot of focus on Elizabeth and the wedding.

06:13But it's also important for me to remember that we still have Jonah, Alex, and Emma that have everyday activities

06:22and interest

06:23and make sure all of their activities or academic needs and things are addressed

06:28and they're just included in the family and not everybody's just absorbed in a wedding.

06:33Oh, you got mom helping?

06:34Yes.

06:39If you hold it up here a little bit, it'll be easier.

06:42A few challenges right off the top.

06:45One was being able to reach the wooden ladle.

06:52It's a little people thing.

06:53So, you know, a lot of people say, oh, well, I'm short too.

06:57Well, the difference is, is that we have an average size torso.

07:00Our arms and our legs are short.

07:02Therefore, our reach is short.

07:04The other thing that was challenging is when you have to take the long tongs, the really long ones,

07:12and work your glass, the mouth of your glass when you're having to widen it.

07:19You're going to lean out a little bit.

07:21We're going to try to get these.

07:26There again, arm reach is very short.

07:29These tongs are very long.

07:30You don't want to burn yourself.

07:37I mean, they're very constricted.

07:38So, he knew he was going to have to stand up.

09:29So glass blowing was fun, making the different types of cups.

09:47Like, if you really want to dive into, like, learning how to blow glass and get more hands on, we

09:52do things like that, both in the glass studio and the ceramic studio.

09:56I don't see Emma being a pro glass blower.

09:59Like, I don't see her just sitting by that kiln every day and getting all hot and sweaty and wearing,

10:04like, all the proper clothing and all that.

10:07But I just don't see that in Emma's interests.

11:11There's not a lot of trust on how we're going to pick out tuxes today, so.

11:19Yeah, I think Elizabeth has strong opinions, especially when the event has something to do with her.

11:29I have an inspo pic, too, to show just to kind of help.

11:32He has always, like, the traditional black and white tux.

11:35But we do want to just change, I guess, the accessories as far as the tie, the belt, and

11:39the shoes, and, like, the handkerchief to bring in more of the fall colors.

11:43But also, for my crew, y'all said that they would be able to rent.

11:47And that is the first time that we have heard that they can rent their suits to fit them.

11:53We all took the, they take the pants leg and, like, stuff it all the way.

11:58And then by the end of the night, at the end of the prom, the pants leg was...

12:02When it comes to suit shopping, or in this case, shopping and getting fitted for tuxedos,

12:09we know what to expect.

12:10We know going into this shop today that the tuxes are not made to fit us,

12:14and that we're looking at having to have lots of alterations done.

12:19So we are...

12:20So we need to weigh out the difference between if we can rent a tailored...

12:26Mm-hmm.

12:26...to fit us, or if we're better off just making a purchase.

12:32Stephanie is going to take great care of y'all.

12:35Um, you.

12:36We got to start with you first.

12:37Yeah, the groom.

12:48I would say shopping with some beer could definitely help.

13:13Once we look at the measurements, you can actually put them on and kind of see if you like the

13:36I think you're just having a hard time seeing it until you actually put it on you.

13:42So whenever they were doing all the measurements for my fittings, I was like, gosh, you know, I'm really ready

13:50to get this over with.

13:51I don't know, it's not really awkward.

13:53It's just like, okay, can we go to the next person?

14:02I'm very surprised that you're going with the vest.

14:12I think once we do the brown shoes and the brown belt, it'll help me visualize it a little more,

14:15but we definitely need to go darker with that tie.

14:18So they had very slim options as far as tie colors for the brown that we're looking for.

14:23So I will be in charge of finding the belt and the tie to match the shoes to finish that

14:29brown look.

14:32Of course, it's a different color tie, but it just stands out.

14:35In general, I've just never really been big on clothes shopping.

14:40I just, it just hasn't really been an interest.

14:43If there ain't no damn fishing hook, fish, piece of camo, animal on it, me ain't going to care.

14:54I think you need, the more white background, the more it's going to stand out and pop.

15:25But it's almost like we kind of, like this fabric is fine.

19:02When it comes to multiple pieces, like a suit, the measurements are pretty tedious.

19:09We don't want the suit butt, like the size of the suit, to be too long.

19:12We don't want the arms too long, but we don't want the shoulders to feel too tight.

19:16We don't want the pants to look, like, super baggy.

19:19Is the shirt good, or do you want to go up one size?

19:21Because right now, you're kind of...

19:23I mean, I can untuck it, or is it...

19:28I have not worked with little people before.

19:30I was glad that we did bring an assortment of sizing

19:32to kind of weigh out what wouldn't work and what did work.

19:35This isn't, like, perfect, but it kind of gives you an idea.

19:39We want them to be pretty fitted, but not like skinny jean fit,

19:42just that nice, comfortable fit.

19:47So there's a lot that goes into the alterations for my side.

19:52Bryce's side is super easy-peasy for the most part,

19:55but luckily, everything was fitting everybody pretty well.

19:59Thank goodness, even the shoes.

20:06It's 4'3".

20:09I say 5'1", because that's 51 inches,

20:18Biggest challenge is, does it make more sense to purchase these tuxedos

20:25and have them permanently altered to fit the three of us,

20:29or for us to rent the tuxedos and have them adapted,

20:37which is basically all the legs and the sleeves tucked up underneath, tucked inside?

20:44So if we went the whole rental route, what's the price for just these three?

20:50$236 with shoes.

20:52Okay.

20:53And then if we bought?

20:54The jacket is usually around $329, and the pants are like $129.

20:58So right, you know, between $450 to $500.

21:01It would be great if we could go the rental route, just to see.

21:05So after having a talk with my parents about the whole wedding budget

21:10and now having an idea of what our wedding budget is,

21:14I'm really hoping that we will be able to rent all of the groom and groomsman's tuxes.

21:21Yes, but in my experience, I've done modified tuxes where they just tuck it up,

21:27and then you don't mean to, but you put your foot in there.

21:30You have to make sure you get it all to lay flat.

21:33You don't stick your foot behind the hem and tear it out.

21:37Okay.

21:38You know, my dad and brothers are not super comfortable with renting these tuxes,

21:43so it looks like they are going to purchase these tuxes

21:47to just have altered, like we always do with our clothes,

21:50and it's something that we're definitely concerned about.

21:53I'll do belts and ties.

21:55Shoes, pants, jacket, shirts are done.

21:58So now that we have finished the suits,

22:01I'm just literally thinking about all the dates that we have.

22:05The date for my dress to come in, the date for the suits to come in,

22:09and I am hoping that everything comes in time.

22:32You know, we took her to a farm where they had a lot of animals

22:37that Layton was allowed to, you know, like, pet and come in close contact with.

22:49She loves the chickens.

22:59So this gave me the idea of let's get some animals that Layton can play with at the house.

23:07We have some cats, but I think it would be fun to expand and get some chickens.

23:15So, I mean, you can just look up, like, chicken varieties or something.

23:20We had Rhode Island Reds.

23:21I love the silky chickens.

23:24Those are funny looking.

23:25Silky chickens have a very unique look to them.

23:28It looks like they have, like, fur wood and, like, feathers.

23:32That is so cool.

23:34If I had to describe a silky chicken to somebody, I would just say, like, imagine just like your ordinary

23:39chicken, but, like, with a bunch of fur and it looks like a big fuzz ball.

23:42And you can't really see their eyes either, so.

23:45I feel like they look like a hot mess.

23:48Layton would love those.

23:50But it would be so cute to see her, like, go and get the eggs and go and, you know,

23:56do the feed and see if silky chickens lay eggs.
