00:04Great to have you with us, Bob. I mean, we sort of knew that Ternus was heir apparent,
00:10but at the same time, does this just reconfirm the direction that Apple is taking strategically?
00:16Yeah, absolutely. It does. I mean, you're right. It's a little surprising that the timing
00:21came when it did. I think a lot of people didn't expect this until 2027. But here we are. I
00:26mean,
00:26but look, here's the good news. I mean, Ternus has been around for a long time. He understands
00:31the culture. He understands the products very well. He understands the strategy.
00:36So my expectation is you're going to see a very smooth transition. Initially, he's going to just
00:41kind of keep things going, and then eventually, obviously, he's going to put his own stamp on
00:44things. But I think, you know, right now, we've got a situation where Apple has, you know, built up this
00:50legacy of an incredible amount of connected devices. And by the way, I think that's the real
00:55genius of Tim Cook. He didn't necessarily know which products, but he knew they had to be
00:59connected. Now, Ternus is going to take that. He knows which products to develop. So that's what's
01:05going to be interesting to watch as we move forward.
01:09Does this also give us an indication, Bob, that they're no longer trying to win the AI race? And
01:14what does this mean? I mean, can Apple win on hardware alone?
01:18Well, no, sure. I think, look, I do think they're going to focus on AI just because
01:24Mr. Ternus was focused on hardware doesn't mean he doesn't have a sense on the software side of
01:29things. And I think it's very clear he's had a vision of having he's worked on a bunch of the
01:34different Apple products over the years, iPad, iPhone, AirPods, all of these different devices.
01:39And that means he's had to see how they interconnect and how all the software pieces work together.
01:44So I absolutely think his first priority, once he gets things settled and gets things figured out,
01:50is going to be focusing on AI. So I think that's going to be a big part of the story.
