00:02A former Methodist church in West Bromwich could become new homes under fresh plans.
00:08Developers want to convert the Hallam Street building into two-storey flats while adding
00:13four terraced houses after later extensions are removed. Sanwell Council papers say the
00:20scheme follows earlier talks with planners and now takes a heritage-led approach,
00:24keeping as much of the historic church as possible. The site has stood on the corner
00:29of Hallam Street and Lewisham Street since at least the 1880s. It closed last year after
00:35community activities had already stopped. Councillors will decide whether the proposals
00:39can now move forward if the application is approved.
