00:00Let's now go live to Venezuela, listen to segments of National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez. Let's listen.
00:11Day of the proclamation of independence of our land.
00:22Today we resound the cry of this pilgrimage, which is a call to union, it's a call to gathering, it's
00:33a call to the embrace, it's a call for solidarity, it's a call so no one is left behind.
00:42It's a call so no one is excluded.
00:49This is a pilgrimage to leave aside the political flags and slogans and raise the only flag that unites us
00:57all.
00:57The only flag that brethren us, the only colors that are true Venezuela, yellow, blue, red and the eight stars.
01:10That shine over the sky of the homeland.
01:15We are in the perfect place to begin this pilgrimage, in the perfect day, in the perfect place.
01:23We are an ancestral stone, primordial stone of the first land that emerged from the seas of the planet.
01:31We are in one of these stones, the one from Montebello, which was thrown and put here by the Father
01:41Orinoco River.
01:42And that Fatherly River that crosses our entire territory accompanies us in this pilgrimage, in this march, to continue building
01:54Venezuela for all.
01:58And I was very moved by the words of Daniela and Florentino.
02:03I was moved because they spoke with their heart, because they spoke from their soul, and because they express how
02:13we express here in Venezuela.
02:16Not with hate. That's not the voice of Venezuela.
02:20Not with racism. That's the worst expression of something that could be considered human if there is something in humanity
02:31that is completely out of humanity.
02:35It's racism. And we said from here, from the land where our country was born, from the land where our
02:44father river begins, from the land of our ancestral grandparents.
02:51And from here we say we are deeply proud to carry indigenous blood, to carry African blood, to carry European
03:04blood.
03:05Because that's what makes us Venezuelans.
03:08But we are mostly our elderly grandparents, primordial grandparents.
03:17We are mainly come from the grandparents that were brought in chains from Africa that created a culture, created a
03:26cry of independence, created music.
03:30Call us whatever you may.
03:32We will continue to call for love and meeting.
03:37That racism, those expressions of racism, they only but stain the soul of those that express that way.
03:54We will continue to persist with love.
03:58We will insist that definitely Venezuela can fly free.
04:06Venezuela can spread its wings and rise in this beautiful sky so that Venezuela can move forward with the construction
04:16of future.
04:17Venezuela can say that we can participate in any economic activity, in any international activity without bias or the chains
04:29of sanctions.
04:31We have moved forward a lot.
04:34We must say everything has to be said.
04:36In these 100 days of government, of acting president, we have moved forward a lot.
04:43And if only raising 14, if by only lifting 14 sanctions, the results can be seen that Venezuela is there,
04:52that the economy is being recovered.
04:55Imagine if with national union we achieve that all sanctions are lifted, that all foreign companies come here, that all
05:06economic activities are developed,
05:08so that our people recover prosperity, so that we can build new hospitals, so that we can improve incomes and
05:18wages of people, so that we can build roads, so that we can make of the Amazonas, of the Amazon
05:28that blessed land that deserves everything.
05:30We are in the perfect day for the beginning of the pilgrimage across the country.
05:35We are in the perfect place for the beginning of the pilgrimage across the country.
05:41We have received the embrace that comes from the night of the times of prayer, that comes from nights of
05:49times.
05:51We are shielded by our Father Weaver here.
05:54In the banks of the Orinoco, I say, we begin the great pilgrimage of national union, so that Venezuela is
06:03free, is free of sanctions, and flies high until reaching the future that we deserve.
06:09I love you forever.
06:12I love you much, inhabitants of Amazonas.
06:16You are always in my heart and embrace.
06:19F outlined in the room while you're talking to me in today'sもので,
06:20Peace.
06:20Peace.
06:20Peace.
