00:00Alright, what's up Amayyan and in this video I am going to show you how you can install OBS Studio
00:05as well as VLC media player with a single command.
00:08All you have to do is open up your terminal and type this command which is sudo apt install OBS
00:14Studio.
00:14Type in your password and hit enter.
00:17This will automatically ask you to install OBS as well as VLC because OBS depends on VLC to convert some
00:27videos.
00:27I don't know, the dependence is on the packages.
00:31Press enter by continuing and wait for a few seconds.
00:36This will automatically download OBS Studio and VLC media player both of the softwares and start installing.
00:44The installation is about to be finished and as you can see the installation is not finished.
00:51Now you can just close this terminal and go to your apps section and now you will find your OBS
00:59Studio as well as VLC media player.
01:03Let me search it for you OBS Studio right there and the VLC media player as well.
01:10Now we have both of the softwares installed.
01:12Let me go ahead and show you how you can set up your OBS on your Linux.
01:16If you can open it up, this will give you two options.
01:19If you want stream, select for the first option.
01:22If you only want it for recording, select the second option and hit apply changes.
01:27This will automatically select the best resolution for your laptop and you will be good to go.
01:34Just wait for a few seconds.
01:36This is just testing my resolution and here we have it.
01:41Let me just full screen this.
01:43And now I can, here we need to add a source.
01:47Press the plus icon, enter whatever source you want.
01:52I am going with the display capture because I need the full screen here.
01:58Just open it up.
02:00The settings will be set automatically so don't need to change anything at all.
02:04If you want the cursor to be captured, you can select that which I did in my video.
02:09That is how I do.
02:10Also make sure you turn off the mic section so you don't get annoying voices.
02:17You can change some settings here.
02:20Let me change some settings.
02:23Here I am going to go to the output section and I need to change the frame rate.
02:28This is the location where your video will be stored.
02:32I need the frame rate to be 60 frames per second because to get the video as smooth as possible.
02:39And here we go.
02:41Nothing else to change.
02:42Just keep at the default settings and you will be good to go.
02:47If I press start recording, the recording will start.
02:49Minimize the icon and recording is done.
02:54Let me just stop the recording.
02:56Now let me show you how you can open those recordings in VLC media player.
03:01So after that, just go to your files or file explorer.
03:07You will get the default player but we don't need that.
03:09So right click on it.
03:12You can see the default player is good but not worth it.
03:16So right click on it.
03:18Go to open with and select the VLC media player and make sure you check this.
03:23Always use this for file type and hit open.
03:27Now every time.
03:28Oh also a quick tip.
03:30Just turn off the metadata.
03:32That's good.
03:33And now whenever you open a video, it will automatically open up in VLC media player.
03:39And you can update it regularly.
03:41Anyway that's been it.
03:41Thanks for watching.
03:42And I will catch you guys in the next one.
03:43Take care.
03:44Bye bye.
