00:03player which includes screen recording, converting videos and also streaming.
00:09First of all open up VLC media player just like this.
00:12If you want to check for updates, hit continue, here you can see this is the media player
00:18and this is the most used media player for almost every windows pc.
00:24So here are the options convert or save.

00:32some capture with options, you need to select anyone that you want, if you want to drag
00:38show, if you want to just screen record your you know screen, just select the desktop, here
00:45I recommend going 30 frames per second or you can go with 60, hit converter save, here you
00:51can see the source has been added as screen.
00:53screen and now you can browse for destination file and also I will recommend that you change
01:00the file name to screen recording or anyone that you want, like this and hit start.
01:06And now it is playing here but there is no end number which means you can see right here,
01:13there is no ending number, while there is a starting number which means this is live recording the
01:19whole screen.
01:20Now let's go ahead and open up some apps like I am using this Brave browser, let's turn it
01:27off and I am going to show you multiple apps and I will tell you if it is recording properly
01:32or not.
01:39Okay I have opened three apps, now let's go ahead and stop the recording.
01:43To stop the recording simply hit stop button right here, stop playback.
01:49This will stop the recording and save the recording to your destination folder, wherever you saved
01:55it.
01:56Let's close VLC media player, go to file explorer, here you can see this is the screen recording
02:02of VLC.
02:04It is kind of slow, it is not as good as OBS studio but still it is worth the job.
02:12Now you can see this is a whole screen recording, I am not doing anything but still I am going
02:17to show you.
02:19You can see this is a video playing here, I am recording this video using the OBS studio but
02:25this recording that I am playing on the VLC media player is recorded by VLC itself.
02:31Now let's, you can see whenever it turns, this will turn off.
02:39So this was the recording, this is how you can record videos with VLC media player but there
02:44are some other hidden features as well.
02:47Next one being the converting option.
02:54This is the screen captured, you can network stream or disk convert.
02:58If you want to convert a media file simply go here, tap add, select the device and hit convert
03:04or save.
03:05Now you will be given some options right here.
03:08This is the display the output and destination or something like that.
03:12Here are some files that you can export to.
03:16Please note that if you have a file that is corrupted but VLC is still managing to open
03:21it up, you can convert that file and that corrupted file will be as good as new which means you
03:29can fix your corrupted files as well.
03:31And also you can convert your videos into multiple options.
03:36Just select a profile that you can use later.
03:42For example, if you want to convert a video into an audio you can do that.
03:46Select mp3 and you will see there are the features that are listed right here.
03:52And you can also change some other stuff like video codec, audio codec or things like that.
03:58Just simple, create a profile, enter the name and do that.
04:02This is how you will be able to convert any file into audio file or any file format that
04:09you desire.
04:12Let me go ahead and try one.
04:16After you have selected the conversion format, simply edit the name and save to a file location
04:25and hit save.
04:27And start it.
04:28Now you can see this video is now converted into an audio file.
04:32Moving on to our next step that is going to be how to stream using VLC media player.
04:38First of all go to stream, remove if you have any existing video.
04:42If you want to stream our locally installed videos, hit stream.
04:46You can see it will show up right here.
04:49Hit next and here if you want to stream it to our website, simply hit add.
04:55No, do not hit add.
04:56First we need to select HTTP protocol, hit next.
05:03Yeah, sorry about that.
05:06This is now what we are going to do.
05:09Simply go back and select HTTP format, add and here you can select the URL of any website.
05:18For example, if you want to stream to YouTube, enter youtube.com slash your streaming link.
05:26You can find your streaming links using the YouTube studio or if you wanna stream to Twitch,
05:34find the Twitch one.
05:35If you wanna stream to Facebook, find the Facebook stream link and then paste the link right here.
05:42Hit next, it will show up the file here and hit stream.
05:46This will make a new file and still also enable how to stream using the internet.
05:53We have to allow access to the internet so it can use up the internet and stream.
05:58This is how we are going to do it.
05:59What if you do not want to stream a already made file, if you wanna live stream your desktop, simply
06:07go here, capture card, here select the format, make sure it's screen and these features are showing up, select the
06:18frame rate, I am going with 30, hit stream, hit next.
06:24Now here, select the HTTP protocol and add your link and then hit next and hit stream.
06:33Now, it will be, now you will be able to stream your desktop screen to a website that you selected
06:40for streaming.
06:41For example, YouTube or Twitch or Facebook, whichever streaming site that you want to use.
06:47So, this is how we are going to do any of this.
06:50So, there are the three, now these are the three hidden features of VLC media player that you didn't know
06:57existed, neither did I, but I found it out.
07:00You can stream using VLC media player, you can screen record using VLC media player and also you can convert
07:07your videos using the VLC media player.
07:10Which means all of the basic functions that you want to use are now available on the VLC media player.
07:15You do not have to go through and find any other apps for that.
07:21Anyway, that's been it.
07:22Thanks for watching.
07:23I will catch you in the next one.
07:24Take care.
