00:02In the UFC Fight Night 270 headliner at London's O2 Arena,
00:07Movsar Ivloyev pushed his record out to 20-0 by handing Lerone Murphy the first loss of his career.
00:13While it was a contentious majority decision, the division's top contender insists his title fight is long overdue.
00:22While Ivloyev clearly took the final two rounds, the first three were debatable
00:27and a point deduction in the fourth for an accidental groin strike made the decision raise more than a few
00:31eyebrows.
00:32Even so, he backed his tenth straight decision win with the company.
00:40Maybe even if I can't finish, if I show my striking skills,
00:44maybe it will be the key to getting the title shot, said the grappling specialist.
00:48This win was against a good striker in his land, an undefeated guy, so what else? Let's fight for the
00:54title.
00:56The featherweight king, Alexander Volkanovski, is currently without a dance partner and he liked the match-up.
01:02In fact, he practically invited Ivloyev to return to his wrestling, just to see how that plays out against the
01:08champ.
01:09I felt like he didn't want to push the wrestling. He wanted to stand up and maybe prove himself on
01:15the feet, Volkanovski said after the win.
01:17I want him to try everything he can. I want him to try to take me down because I won't
01:22let it happen,
01:22and he'll be forced to fight on the feet because of my takedown defense.
01:28Performance of the night bonuses went to Iwo Baranowski and Chanel Dyer for their TKO finishes.
01:34Fight of the night honors went to Mason Jones versus Axel Sola.
01:40Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn's acquisition of UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall for Matchroom's new talent agency could turn out to
01:47be a win for everyone.
01:49Well, maybe not everyone.
01:51Not even close.
01:52The UFC CEO and now Hearn's chief rival, Dana White, isn't convinced it's a good idea.
01:57He's not even sure what Hearn was thinking.
02:02Eddie was coming out saying,
02:04Ah, I look forward to competing with Superboxing and there's things that they don't know about boxing that they're going
02:09to learn.
02:10And then two weeks later, he's an MMA manager. I don't get the move.
02:15Since linking up with Aspinall, the British promoter hasn't been shy about UFC fighter pain.
02:21And after a matchroom boxing event over the weekend, he weighed in on one of MMA's hottest talking points.
02:27John Jones being left off the White House card.
02:31Jones revealed he was offered no more than $15 million.
02:34Half of the $30 million he reportedly declined to face Aspinall to fight on the UFC's Freedom 250 card this
02:41June.
02:42In response, Hearn claimed,
02:44John Jones and Tom Aspinall are under contract.
02:47If they weren't under contract, I could do Aspinall against John Jones and I'll pay them double what the UFC
02:53offered them, probably.
02:56If Hearn is telling the truth and saying he could get Jones and Aspinall paydays closer to $50 million per
03:01fight,
03:02then choosing not to re-sign with the UFC may start to look very appealing for champions nearing the end
03:07of their contracts.
03:08Hearn is a man.
