00:00Hey, Shalom brothers and sisters, I'm back again. Today I want to talk about the prophetesses.
00:07A lot of people always talk about, you know, prophet here, prophet there, prophet of Yahweh
00:11here, you know, but there were female prophets and there's prophetesses. And I'm going to
00:17mention a few in here just to edify you. First we'll go to Exodus 1520. 1520 states
00:30and Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron took a tremble in her hand and all the women went
00:37out after her with trembles, with dances. They're talking about the song of Moses right here.
00:44Great celebration and everything, but right there it says she was a prophetess, you know,
00:49inspired by the Holy Spirit. Now we're going to jump over to Judges, talk, see what they say about
00:56Deborah. This is Judges chapter four, verse four, and it says, and Deborah, a prophetess,
01:05the wife of Lepidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And if you, if you recall, there was no
01:12strong men in Israel. They're all, you know, weak men. And she was the one that was a judge and
01:19powerful and she's a prophetess. And, uh, and this was also the, I guess her song, if you want to
01:26call
01:26it her song. But, uh, but anyways, now if you go to, you can go to, uh, second Kings 22,
01:3514, or
01:37second Chronicles 34, 22, the prophets, they talk, the quotes, uh, discuss, uh, they talk about the
01:45Holder, you know, and she was in the time of Josiah. She was a prophetess too. And I don't
01:52know if you've ever heard of the, heard of the gates of Holdra, but Holder, but then, uh, there's
02:00another one in Nehemiah chapter six, verse 14. And, uh, this was right after the, the wall was built,
02:10the wall was completed around the temple, around, around, uh, to keep the Samaritans, all the other
02:16Gentiles out. They kept trying to throw monkey wrenches into the plans, trying to stop the
02:21building of the wall, the temples, everything else. And, uh, finally they got the walls complete and
02:26these people didn't like it. And then they mentioned, mentioned her in this. So please check
02:32out Nehemiah six, verse 14. Another one, another one was unknown prophetess. And you check this
02:41one out in Isaiah chapter eight, verse three, about her. And we can go down to, uh, Anna the
02:49prophet. Yep. In the new Testament, Anna the prophet. It's in, uh, I'll skip down to Luke
02:57right here. Maybe I went too far. Yeah, I did. Uh, Luke, Luke, see, Luke two, Luke two, 36 to
03:1138. Two, six to 38. I'm almost there. Two, six, six, six. Starting with 36 right here. And
03:33there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Fiannual of the tribe of Asher. She was a
03:40great of a great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity. She
03:47was a widow of about four score and four years, which departed not from the temple. She served
03:53Elohim with fastings and prayers night and day. She was a very dedicated woman indeed. And
04:00she, she coming up that instant gave thanks to likewise to Yahweh and spoke of him to all
04:06them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. So yeah, she was a real dedicated woman, of
04:14course. And, uh, anyways, I almost forgot this other one, but it's in the book of Acts. I
04:20don't know why, you know, five forgot it, but it finally came on to me. But it's, uh, if you
04:27go to Acts 21, go to Acts 21 and it'd be eight and nine, 21, eight and nine. Here we
04:42go. And
04:43the next day we that were Paul's company departed and came unto Caesarea and we entered into the
04:50house of Philip, the evangelist, which was one of the seven and abode with him. And the same,
04:57and the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesize. So that made them prophetesses.
05:04She, they did prophecies and everything. And, uh, down here in, uh, 2110 also, of course it says,
05:11and as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judea, a certain prophet named
05:18Agabus. So, and the reasons why Agabus came down, he's trying to warn Paul, don't go to Jerusalem,
05:26you know, because they're going to get you. You're going to be, you're going to be, you know,
05:29tortured and killed for the faith. And, uh, even the daughters must've said that too,
05:35when they was prophesying to Paul, you know, don't go. The Holy spirit was moving these people to
05:39say, don't, don't go, don't go. But Paul, of course, Paul didn't listen. He went there,
05:45you know, there was a riot, there was disturbances, you know, he almost lost his life. He was arrested
05:52because he's a Roman citizen and he had hauled off to Rome. So, you know, but, uh, these were the,
06:00not all the renowned women of the Bible. These are the prophetesses, not, I was, I didn't include,
06:05you know, like the Mary's, Miriam's, uh, the Salome's, you know, I didn't, I didn't mention
06:11them, but, but these are the prophetesses of the scriptures. I just figured, you know,
06:18they deserve to be remembered of course, and, you know, study up on them. And I encourage you just,
06:24uh, you know, just when you read them, read about some of the stories related to them,
06:30you know, try to take something out of it. You know, that's all I've got to say about that.
06:36And I thank you again for stopping by and listening to me, you know, do me a favor and
06:42please subscribe to my button, my page and, and hit notification bells. Uh, if you like me,
06:50please show it by hitting the like button, of course. And, uh, hey, with that said and done,
