00:00Who let the dogs out?
00:01Hooter! Hooter! Hooter!
00:03Did you see this?
00:04Palm Harbor, Walmart, it's commercial-free New Country, 99.5 QYK.
00:08A dog fight happened in the store.
00:11Oh, boy, no.
00:11I know, with two different customers had their dogs with them,
00:14and the dogs got into a fight inside the store.
00:17Like, five people got injured.
00:18Like, inside the actual store, not outside.
00:21Yeah, I believe, I don't know what aisle it was, but anyway.
00:24The dog food aisle.
00:25Dog food aisle, probably, right?
00:27But anyway, they were inside the Walmart, and one was a terrier mix,
00:32which I saw a picture of it, and it looked like a 60-pound dog,
00:36and then the other one was a chihuahua mix.
00:38Oh, my goodness.
00:39Very small, and they got into it, and like you said, five people were injured,
00:42the owners of each dog, trying to break it up.
00:45When we say injured, I mean...
00:46Well, that's what, I'll get to that in a second.
00:50Minor injuries, okay, first off.
00:51So, and then one person was rushed to the hospital because of high blood pressure.
00:58Yeah.
00:58Ah.
00:59Got a little worked up from the dog fight.
01:01I understand.
01:01I get that.
01:02Yeah, absolutely.
01:03So, the obvious question is, what is your dog doing in Walmart?
01:07Well, they have a policy that only service dogs can go into Walmart.
01:12Both of these dogs were not service dogs.
01:15Right.
01:16They were not obeying the rules, and then, of course, these dogs get into it.
01:21It's a whole scene, and people are getting cut up trying to break up the fight.
01:24Right, which is not good.
01:25No.
01:26Right.
01:26So, I mean, there's rules, and there's reasons.
01:29I mean, and listen, any dog can get into something or whatever,
01:33like, you know, get into a tussle or whatever.
01:35I mean, Petey, my dog, was like the most gentle dog ever,
01:38and then I saw him get attacked by another dog, and he went back,
01:41and he just, they're a dog at the end of the day.
01:43You know what I'm saying?
01:43Right, exactly.
01:44You know, even if your dog is good, they might not like that dog.
01:48There's something about that one particular dog.
01:51You always have to be careful, always.
01:52And, I mean, I don't, we don't know what the story is,
01:55but were they, like, introducing the dogs?
01:58You know how sometimes you have, you know, you have somebody with the,
02:00you know, oh, let's introduce the dogs, and maybe that's where,
02:03that's where things, you know, went awry.
02:06We don't want to get off the leash.
02:07Right.
02:08You know, that type of thing.
02:09You know, that kind of thing.
02:10There's a local news station that did a news story on this horribly.
02:13I always put it that way because we were watching it, and we're like,
02:16well, there's no details.
02:17And they were interviewing people.
02:19They weren't even there.
02:20They weren't even there.
02:21Like, here's some people that showed up after the incident to talk about it.
02:25Oh, my gosh.
02:25And we're like, okay, well, what do they have to do?
02:28Yeah, you really can't, you know, the one was, I guess, a Chihuahua mix,
02:32and, you know, nothing wrong with that, but just, you know,
02:35those things can be a little feisty sometimes.
02:37Okay, thank you.
02:38And then we talked to a dog trainer.
02:42This has nothing to do with the story.
02:44Yeah, we're going to know where the story happened.
02:45But, you know, we are all, you know, dog lovers and dog owners,
02:48and I, you know, I don't take Louie a lot of places anymore,
02:50but I do love to take Louie to Home Depot when, you know, when I could,
02:55but I don't.
02:56But they have a dog policy that you can.
02:58You can.
02:58Yeah.
02:59But I still, even in Home Depot, I don't let my dog talk, you know,
03:04or, well, of course you don't let it wander, but meet other dogs.
03:07It's just, you don't know the other dogs,
03:10and you don't know what the situation is.
03:12And when you're in a place like a Walmart or a Home Depot or whatever store,
03:16that's a different kind of environment for the dog.
03:18You know, there's carts, there's people running around.
03:21It's not something that they're normally used to,
03:23so they're maybe a little bit more anxious.
03:25So I understand why stores have policies that they do.
03:30I don't think dogs should be in Walmart, to be honest with you.
03:33No.
03:34And by the way, good on the Walmart employees for getting in there
03:36because I'm not, I mean, you see a dog fight,
03:39that's to get involved in like that?
03:41Oh, yeah.
03:42That's a bit.
03:42You get bit, and they did.
03:44Yep.
03:44And they, you know, one person had high blood pressure.
03:46Yeah.
03:47So if that happens, he says.
03:50You know how to stop a dog from biting or doing that?
03:53Is it a proven way?
03:55Yeah.
03:55Okay.
03:56You stick your finger up their butt.
03:57Yeah, that's right.
03:58I've heard that before.
03:59Yeah.
03:59It's the truth.
04:00Thanks a lot.
04:01If you can get there, I mean, sometimes.
04:03If you can get there.
04:04You know what I mean?
04:06Because it's.
04:07Wait, why was that not the car line fun fact this morning?
04:11I don't know.
04:11What are we doing?
04:15But then they'll let go.
04:16They'll stop biting because they're like,
04:18what was that?
04:19Listen, if you did that to me, I'd let go, too.
04:21We'll do that to you.
04:23We'll do that to you.
04:24You
